Problem installing OS6 upgrade

my iphone 4 has crashed completely running the OS6 update. It now appears to be stuck at some point in the boot process.
When I plug it back into ITunes I get a message:
"ITunes could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked..You must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes"
trouble is I can't.... because it won't boot!
Anyone any ideas?

goolge on how to put it into dfu mode, I think theres a couple of programs that will force it into dfu if doing it normally doesnt work. Download the ios 6 ipa, go into itunes hold shift and click restore and the locate the ios 6 file, it should work.

Problems installing CS6 Upgrade on Win7 64Bit

I purchased the upgrade from CS4 to CS6 Design and Web Premium. I've tried 4 times now to install, with varying degrees of success. The first attempt installed about half the products and gave an enormous error list. The second installed everything except Acrobat and InDesign. Subsequent attempts to install just these two additional programs always give an "Installation Failed", and a seemingly common problem across all latest versions and operating systems of the installer failing to access certain files/folders.
EDIT: The installer also always says that the machine needs a reboot, when it has just been re-booted and certainly doesn't! I continue anyway.
I have already cleared the Temp folder with no difference, and NIS2012 is disabled during the install.
Any ideas of how to get these vital last two programs to install please?

Mylenium, I've checked for any instances of ther installer, and rebooted, several times - same result.
I've also uninstalled, rebooted, and then done a new install of CS6. This gave the following errorlog, and rolled back the installation of Acrobat after a desktop icon had appeared, and also InDesign.
Much closer to a working install this time, but says it can't find some language specific files, abd I still get one 'file in use error'. Would it be worth dowbloading the 'trial' installer disc (if that's possible), as I guess it's still early in the CS6 release cycle?
I've downloaded the Cleanup utility, but a brief look at the instructions worries me as it seems to say it will delete all CS related user files (presumably it deletes the folder tree), and will it leave my working CS4 alone as I'm stuck otherwise?

Is your CS3 also the Italian version? If not, this won't work. Other than that standard answer: Call support by phone.

Problem installing iTuens 7.01

Not to jump on the iTunes v7.0 (7.01) bandwagon, however I'm having major problems installing the upgraded version on my PC. The program doesn't let me get to the install feature. It stalls and then shuts down. I can a very brief pop-up that goes away and shuts-down the site. I still have iTunes v6._ on my PC and it's worked great so far. From what I've heard on this site, maybe I should leave well enough alone. The only bad thing is that you can't buy & download any NEW music with this older version. Any advice?

perhaps let's try cutting the Gordian knot with this one. if it's not letting you download the installer at all, try this.
download and save a copy of the installer file to a different PC. burn a copy of the installer to a CD-R (or copy it to an external hard drive), carry it back to your PC, and copy the installer file to your Desktop. (don't run the install from the copy on the CD or on the ExHD.)

Which version of OS X do you have? It's not clear from your post whether "installed an upgrade" means you just installed PSE 13 as an upgrade or you installed an update to PSE 13, like ACR 9 or 13.1. Please clarify.

Multiple problems installing upgrade from CS5 Design Prem. to CS6 Design Prem.

I had started a thread a few days ago regarding problems that I was having while installing my upgrade from CS5 Design Premium to CS6 Design Premium. Everything seemed to install fine with the exception of Acrobat X Pro. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4716847#4716847
I thought that I had resolved the issue through tech support, but apparently not. First of all, they had me install the trial version of Acrobat X which actually let me install with no errors. A couple of days passed and Acrobat asked if I would like to continue my trial or enter a serial number. I tried to use my serial that came with my upgrade but it rejected it, so I opted to continue the trial. Then earlier today as I was working in InDesign, upon launching I got a script error message.

Cannot open resource file.
After clicking OK it seemed to open InDesign fine and I was able to open files and go about working. While working I noticed that I had no effects in the dropdown menu under 'Object'. Tried the shortcut for them and nothing happened. I have yet to try to open any files containing effects (drop shadow or something) but am guessing that they will not work. My next course of action was to try to Uninstall and Re-Install. I removed CS6 and Acrobat X Pro from my computer and ran the Creative Suite Cleaner program. Then instead of installing the upgrade from the DVD, I decided to download the program from the Adobe LWS and give that a go thinking that maybe the download files are more up-to-date than the DVD that I recieved. Now it seems I am back to square one with the same problems (InDesign missing 'Effects' and who knows what else, and Acrobat X Pro failed to install), but this time I have diffent errors on the "error summary file" that shows up as a link in the "Installation Complete" dialog box. Sorry for being windy, but I really need to get this resolved. Thanks for any and all input. PC is Dell Precision T3500 running Windows 7 and is current on it's updates.

Dave, same problem here. And I did go in as admin to Administrative Tools, Services, Apple Mobile Devices and tried restarting the service. It seems there is a bug with the newest update, period. All of the normal "easy" steps don't work. Before I remove all of Apple's programs, including Bonjour....I'm running a full system scan.
But the answer will be to remove all of the Apple stuff, then reboot, then use whatever utility you have to remove all temp files...then go download and install it again. This has worked for several people (I read the thread before posting). Win 7 64bit. It just seems that Apple did not thoroughly test this new version. Period.
If Apple reads this...I have many computers...and whenever Apple wants to update something...it just about stops everything else that is going on. Total memory hog, even with 16G RAM and dual quad core processors. It has to learn to play nice with others.
After the scan and I'm sure an hour or two of work...I'll re-post.
Of course if you do image back-ups, as I do, you can simply restore your drive to its previous state and run the previous version of iTunes, declining the update, until Apple gets it right. Depending on the size of your drive, this could take hours. It is a matter of choice, of course.

Problems installing Acrobat X as part of CS6 upgrade

After upgrading to CS6 from CS5, my Acrobat Pro 9 stopped working - it would say that there is an error and shut down, each time I tried to open it. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Acrobat 9 and the CS6 upgrade. Latest reinstallation of the CS6, installed everything except Acrobat X, which comes with the package...
Any ideas?

Still not working. I continue to get the error message that “Certain elements of or these products are not able to be installed” (translated from French). In the following error log, it says (amongst other things) :

When I was uninstalling previous versions of Acrobat and Reader, it had warned that it couldn’t access the file C:\Config.Msi\3a1e5a.rbf. I did try running the Acrobat Cleaner Tool as you recommended, twice, restarting each time but still no luck.
Any other suggestions?

I was going to suggest - Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings, but if you are restoring to factory settings, that should restore the settings back to factory defaults. But if you are restoring from a backup, after restoring to factory settings, try resetting all of the settings and see if that fixes it.
It might be something in your backup.

Problems installing/upgrading Flash

This may not be the appropriate place to ask this question
since this site seems geared to Flash developers. However, my
question is very simple. Websites that require Flash tell me that I
don't have the most current version of Flash and direct me to this
site for upgrade. When I go through the steps to install the
upgrade I do get the little graphic that says the install was
successful, but either it is not successful or other sites aren't
recognizing it, because I continue to have problems viewing Flash
content on sites like GoFish, YouTube, etc.
Could anyone help me with this?

I am also having trouble with installing Flash Player 9.
Basically, I'm starting to use Flex 2 and I invited fellow
developers to reveiw my work. We're batting 500 (that's 50%) on
success with installing the Flash Player 9. The symptom generally
seems to be that a "Flex 2" application will show it's background
color but nothing else. Works fine, like I said, on 50% of
machines, but this is very frustrating. Also, I've got Flash Player
9 running successfully on my machine, and the
adobe.com/go/getflashplayer believes that I need to upgrade. And
then prompts my authorization for installing Flash PLayer 8 (which
I assume to be 8.5, which is "really" 9). Anyone else getting these
issues? Am I alone or is a fix needed?

It's a built-in app, so it can't be deleted nor downloaded from the store. If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Camera being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Problem installing Patch to upgrade to Sun One 6.1SP7

Hi,
About a year ago, we installed Sun One 6.1 SP6. When the application was installed, it was installed to a the non-default location. Instead of /opt/SUNWwbsrv directory, we chose to install it to /app/netscape61.
Now that SP7 is available, I'm having problems installing the patch.
When I use patchadd, it says it cannot find SUNWwbsrv installation so it quits.
I've tried "patchadd -M /tmp/116648-19 -R /app/netscape61"
Where /tmp/116648-19 is the source patch directory and /app/netscape61 is where I installed netscape61SP6.
Can someone tell me the correct syntax to use?

Hi Bruce,
Did you install 6.1 SP6 using the packages or using the point product(non package based)? If you had installed 6.1 SP6 as a point product, then patchadd is not the way to upgrade. You can check by running the pkginfo command as follows:
# pkginfo SUNWwbsvr
If the above command fails with "not found" then you probably have the point product(non package based install) of WS installed. In that case, you can upgrade using the SP7 bits from here:

HT5400 If I install OS6 on my iPhone 4, will it retain as intact, all my settings and apps? OS 5 did not do so, which required HOURS of manually restoring apps, settings, etc. I am wary of another complete OS upgrade, so soon. Waiting till answers come.

We have a program in LabVIEW 7.1 running on Windows 2000. We plan to upgrade all of our computers to Windows XP. Will there be any problems installing LabVIEW 7.1 onto Windows XP?

No, you won't experience any problems with that upgrade. LabVIEW 7.1 is fully compatible on Windows XP, just as it is on Windows 2000.
