Problem installing Pse5 on Windows 7

Can anybody help me make Editor work on Pse5 when installed on Windows 7. All of the functions appear to behave correctly when I run Organiser. As soon as I start Editor, the application crashes. I have carried out a Recover and have Reindexed all of my photos without any success. I have also tried erasing the Preference on launch by pressing Shift+Ctrl+Alt as recommended in the read-me guide. I have now run out of ideas.

What compatibility settings are you using?
Do you right click the program Icon and select Run As Administrator?
Do you have Win7 PRO? If yes, continue below...

Problem Installing 817 on Windows 2000 with RAID Array

I am having a problem installing Oracle under windows 2000 which has 2 x 60 GB discs configured in RAID array. When I run the setup program the cursor goes busy for about 10 seconds and returns back to normal and nothing happens !. No errors nothing.
However when I run the Object Manager in the ods_preinstall directory it starts but in the log file I get the following error message:-

Any idea whats happening....? Has anyone seen this before. Do I need to do something special in teh RAID..?

Here are some possible solutions:
1. The installation notes state that you must be logged on as Administrator to be able to install 9i. Are you logged on as the Administrator? Being logged on as user01 with Administrator priviledges isn't the same as Administrator.
2. Is the disk full? If I remember my installation correctly, I needed 3 times the size of the files. The documentation will tell you how much space you need.

Repair your Apple Sofyware update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install

Does CS3 install and work normal when installed on a windows 7 system? Some say it installed / worked just fine. Others that they had problems installing or getting it to run. Others that it depens on which windows 7 system you have. Etc. etc.
What do I have to take into account when installing cs3 on a windows 7 machine? I know it's not designed for windows 7 but I rather use cs3 then cs4.

No one yet. I'm thinking about bying a laptop which has windows 7 already installed (I think home edition), but googling I found various topics of people having trouble getting cs3 master collection to work (programs of master collection not being installed, error messages about missing windows files etc, etc.). Which version of windows 7 should I have to make cs3/cs4 work? Or should I be able to install cs3/4 on any windows 7 computer without any problems? Or should I do anything specific before installing?
I'm a little worried that I won't be able to use cs3 (which I much rather use than cs4) when I buy a new computer with windows 7.

The problem of installation of JDK 7u2 on Windows x64 is coming for both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of JDK.... However, i have tried installing them on Windows x86 (specifically Win XP SP3 x86 on VirtualBox 4.1.8) and the 32 bit version of JDK seems to be installing just fine on 32 bit Windows.
I might be wrong here but maybe the problem is that the 32 bit code on the JDK 7u2 may contain some 16bit code and so the Windows x64 is not able to run it (x64 OS not backwards compatible with 16 bit code). However the chances of this is slim since this is an update and the JDK 7u1 both 32 and 64 bit versions were fine.
However if this might have happened, then it is also possible that the 16bit code is also present in the 64 bit version of JDK 7u2 and thats why both the versions are not running on Windows x64.
Hoping they fix the issue soon. I need to do some testing and programming on Java 7.

Since all drivers in Windows update are produced from manufacturer and then after passing the Windows Logo Program testing, then they can be distribute onto update, that should be little delayed. I
suggest we download the latest driver applied to Windows 7 from manufacturer site.
Before installing the driver, is suggest you open Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features and delete the printer driver that is already installed.
I'm seeing a lot of information about the HP LaserJet CP2025dn not working properly with Windows 7.
I suggest contacting HP for the drivers support for Windows 7, or you can install the driver with Vista compatible mode for test:
1. Insert the installation media, right click on the DVD drive icon and choose Open
2. In the open folder, right click the program setup.exe file and click the Properties option.
3. Select the Compatibility tab.
4. Select the Run This Program in Compatibility Mode option.
5. From the drop-down list, choose the operating system you ran before upgrading to Vista.
6. If necessary, select the option to run the program as an administration.
7. Click OK.
Now, right click on Setup.exe and choose Run as administrator to install it again.
Furthermore, you can try to use Windows XP mode to use these printer.

Problem installing oracle in windows on a system with a share drive

I am attempting to install oracle on windows at work. I have access to a share drive that has an oracle inventory. I do not have permission to write here.
When I try to install oracle locally on my C: drive, by default the installation looks in the N: drive oracle inventory and since I do not have privileges to write there, it errors out.
how do i set it so that the installer creates an oracle/inventory locally on my C: drive?

On Windows registry key 'inst_loc' defines the Oracle inventory location,obviously a previous installation set this location to shared drive N: . Unfortunately it's NOT supported to change this , statement from Oracle:
Development have stated that manually changing the "inst_loc" string in the Windows registry (under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Oracle or HKLM\Software\Oracle) is officially unsupported.
You could create a 'clean' machine (remove completely all Oracle components including registry keys and start again with a fresh installation)

OR - maybe easier - ask your systemadminstrator to grant the necessary privilege.

My Windows 8.1 computer is telling me the Skype app has changed so I must uninstall and re-install Skype for Windows Desktop. I duly did this but I cannot access Skype, it won't accept my Skype name and password combination. Problem Installing Printers in Windows 7

I have windows 7 installed in bootcamp on a 21.5" new iMac. I have installed all drivers from the OS X dvd. When I try and install the printer (HP Photosmart C4780) It says that it can not be installed because of a USB driver/USB hardware problem. Does anyone know how to fix this? I will also have to install a HP Photosmart C309a on another 21.5" iMac running windows 7. Will the same error occur?

Hi I had exactly the same problem.
I have just solved it by uninstalling Bonjour and re installing the older version 1.0.6
This worked for me at least.
