Problem integrating service Providers Voice link (E1) with AS5300 Gateway

Scenerio:
I have a cisco Callmanager integrating with an AS5300 PSTN Gateway on my network, am currently trying to integrate an E1 (direct Connect) for voice, from a service provider so as to route outgoing calls from my network through them.I have a challenge of been able to display my caller id on the receivers end, instead of the pilot number given to me by th provider.
e.g If I place a call from any extension on my network say 1652, i expect to see
0808926(1652) on the receivers end, but instead the pilot number from the service provider 0808926(0000)is displayed on the receivers set.
How can i resolve this issue? the service provider uses an Ericsson AXE 810

You need to use route mask on the CCM, please report in "ip telephony" to receive a more detailed answer, or search the forum.

Problem integrating Oracle 9i and Weblogic 7 with MDBs

I would really appreciate an answer to this question.
Background:
- We are using Oracle 9i and Weblogic 7
- I have an MDB that receives a message, then in the onMessage(Message) method
performs a findByPrimaryKey(String).
Problem:
The deployment descriptors and the MDB all work fine when I set them up to query
against a Pointbase database and deploy to Weblogic. Everything worked fine. But
this was only a test to see if everything would work.
I now need to query against an Oracle database. I got the updated version of the
Oracle Thin Driver and put it in the WL_HOME/server/lib/classes12.zip file. I
even added it to the beginning of the classpath in the startWeblogic.cmd file.
But am still having problems.
To test the just the Oracle connection I double checked the user, password, URL,
and driver settings in a java file using JDBC connections - and they worked fine.
They just aren't working when integrated into Weblogic.
The problem lies in the Weblogic 7 server integration with Oracle 9i. The software
integrated fine when tables from a Pointbase database were queried. The only changes
made have been to make the connectivity to Oracle.
My errors are in the attached myserver.log file. If anyone knows if this is a
known problem or what the problem is please let me know.
Just FYI my settings are as follows:
Driver: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

PROBLEMS INTEGRATING OID PLUG-IN FRAMEWORK SOLUTION WITH SSO SERVER

I wrote a OID plug-in to authenticated against an external
password store as suggested in chapter 27 of the Oracle Internet
Directory Administer's Guide., release 9.0.2.
The function works if I run an ldap-bind from the command, the password
is checked against the external password store, and copied into the OID.
The function doesn't work from the SSO server, It will authenticate against
the password contained in the OID rather than the password contained in the
external password store, if there is a difference.
I think the reason for this is probably that SSO uses indirect (proxy)
access to the password store instead of Direct Authentication, as
described in chapter 11 of the OID administrators guide.
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the
authentication method of the SSO server from
indirect to direct?

Using the ldapadd command-line tool:
ldapadd –p 4031 –h localhost –D cn=orcladmin –w security007 –v –f when_compare_replace.ldif
and restart the Oracle Internet Directory server and AS too.
4)and tested the plugin with login requests to the OID server and made some calls using ldapcompare tool like:

but the log table was never filled with the parameter values.
Does this framework stuff ever work? Is it possible to replace the password comparison of OID?????

Problem in starting Integration service with DAC 11g

Hi friends,
Im @ the step of registering integration service and the repository service in DAC 11g. I can start the Repository service well in DAC, but facing issue in starting integration service with DAC, while trying to test connection im getting a message like
Failure connecting to BIA_IS!
Im not sure the reason to this problem in DAC. I have also setted the necessary environment variables like INFA_HOME and INFA_DOMAINS_FILE referring the domains.infa file like

The issue is sorted out. The below are the two precautions to be considered.
*) Make sure of INFA_HOME/Server/bin exist @ the end in the PATH variable.
*) For each and every change in the PATH variable, it is better to restart the services(both infa and DAC) then and there for the changes to take effect.

Attribute Dimensions with Integration Services

Good evening, I'm creating an ASO Essbase model through Integration Services v9.3.1 and I am having difficulties with creating an Attribute dimension that contains a hierarchy.
We have a list of stock codes which are grouped by vendor in a dimension, each stock code has an attribute assigned to it for the buyer responsible.
The business requirement is to start from the top level of the attribute dimension, drill in to categories, then to drill in to teams, and finally to the buyer... so we effectively require 3 levels within the attribute dimension.
I have successfully created both the vendor (physical) and buyer (attribute) dimensions through EIS without problems, but when I load to Essbase all of the buyers are added at the top level of the dimension and I can't seem to specify that there should be a parent/child hierarchy to build the attribute dimension from.
Is this possible, and if so any advice you can give as to how I achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

This is definitely a supported feature in EIS/9.3.1/ASO. I have many models with this type of structure. How you set it up can vary. Usually my Attribute Hierarchies are not that deep, only two to three levels, maybe four in a rare case, so I don't usually use a parent child table to set up the hierarchy (I'm not saying that it won't work, it might, I haven't tried, but same steps should apply). In a typical model I will have my stock table which has a buyer field. Then in another table I will have my attribute structure which will have columns for buyer, teams, and categories.
In EIS OLAP model, you add your attribute hierarchy table and use a join to link it to the main stock table, joining on the buyer field (you are now going from a "star" schema to a "snowflake". Go into the properties and make sure you define all the columns as "Attributes".
Then in Metadata model, drag your categories attribute onto the outline, then drag the teams and set it as a child of categories and finally drag buyer and set as child of teams. You only set the attribute association for the buyer back to the base dimension.
When you run your dim build it will set up your attribute dimension correctly.
Some things to keep in mind, make sure you have a process that ensures for every stock code you have in the main table, you have a matching one in your attribute dim table.
Sometimes, depending on how much manipulation I need to do, instead of joining the tables in EIS I will go back to relational source and create a view that joins the two tables together, then in my OLAP model, I have one table that has three attribute columns, one column for the buyer and then the other two for team and category, from that point setting up in metadata model is the same.

I need to load product dimension which is organized in a relational table like this:
Product (parent_code, member_code, member_alias, brand, consolidation, formula)
Every product has a brand and I need to load brand as attribute dimension. The thing is Brand is not flat but it has it's own hierarchy. For Brand I have another relational table where data is organized parent-child like this:
Brand (brand_parent_code, brand_child_code, brand_child_alias).
I have used in the past Integration Services but with flat attribute dimensions.
Can I load hierarchical attribute dimensions with Integration Services? If yes, how do I do it, how do I specify the hierarchy?

Interfaces with Logistics Service Providers (external WMS)

Hi all,
I am currently in the process of designing possible solutions for our interfaces between SAP and LSP.
We have external 3rd party Logistics Service Providers (LSP) handling our warehouse. LSP has their own WMS system. We don't have WMS configured in SAP. Our warehouse will receive goods from supplier, issue stock to customers and receive returns from customers.
Could you please clarify the following ?
1. What are the preferred ways of sending the messages for e.g. flat file/EDI/XML ?
2. What are the possible messages we need to exchange (say for e.g to have goods receipt / goods issue / stock take / daily stock reconciliation) ?
3. Which one is advisable ?
to send shipping notification (SN) from supplier direct to LSP system and receive GR details from LSP to SAP
(or)
to receive SN from supplier in SAP and send the inbound delivery created in SAP to LSP so that GR can be done based on this ?
4. How can the stock discrepancy / stock reconciliation can be handled between 2 systems on a daily basis ?
5. Is there any website to get more information about the interfaces between SAP and external WMS systems ?

No problem, I think I have not mentioned clearly. We have different Warehouses (in different countries) managed by different LSPs and each one has got different WMS system. Mostly they are non-SAP system and one is a SAP system with Transport management module. As I said earlier we have only IM configured in our SAP without WMS. Could you please tell what you interface your WMS with 3rd party WMS(SAP system)?
Still I am wondering whether the set up in OMKY can be used for my requirement as it tells about connecting SAP to external non-SAP system ?

I am setting up the BI APPS. I am following the documentation provided by oracle. Everything went on smoothly but when when I am trying to integrate the DAC with the Integration service created in informatica it is giving me the following error:

Here is what you need to do... there are some gaps in the documentation for 7.9.6 with infa 8.6:
1) In infa 8.6 there is no repository and informatica server, instead you have repository service and integration service
2) make sure you note down the name of the repository service and integration service when you do the post install of the informatica install
3) when you try to register Infa repository in DAC, make sure you use the (hostname/services) as the name of the infa integration service,
and in repostory name use the name of the repository service and not Oracle_BI_DW_base....
if you still have errors upload or email ([email protected]) the DAC config screens

Chinese Character Problem in Essbase Integration Service & Oracle9i

I installed oracle9i on windows2000,which character set is SIMPLIFIED CHINESE_CHINA.zhs16cgb231280. And I installed Essbase Integration Service 6.5.4 on HP-UNIX server. I designed an OLAP Model in Integration Services Console and I defined some dimensions name using chinese characters. When I saved the model, the chinese characters I inputed is saved as some question marks(?) in the tables in oracle 9i. After I loaded the dimension data which include the chinese charaters, the dimension data which is chinese characters also displayed question marks in the EIS console. I have added the variable NLS_LANG="SIMPLIFIED CHINESE_CHINA.zhs16cgb231280" in the .profile, but it did not work either. How can I solve this problem? Can I do any configuration on EIS files to solve this problem? Would you please help me? Thank you very much!
