Hi jtovar77,
this forum is about SAP NetWeaver Gateway problems (which is an ABAP based solution).
I assume that one of the forums listed on the follwoing page [SAP NetWeaverPortal in SDN|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-portalandcollaboration] is better suited for your problem.

  • Portal Content Studio - mouse button does not work anymore

if you use the portal content studio
    content-administration > portal-content
you can configure the portal objects by browsing them and clicking the right mouse button.
That worked but now the mouse button doesn't work - left mouse button works as expected (with left mouse button one can navigate through the objects, iViews, working sets, etc...).
Right mouse button does nothing, portal objects could not be edited. Of course, the mouse is Ok.
    Is this strange error known?
    How to avoid it?
Is there a possibility to reset this application, so it restarts/re-initializes correctly?
Even a restart of SAP NetWeaver didn't help.
Or can one use another method to perform an action instead of the right mouse button?

  • Content Migration into the Portal Environment

We have a handbook of more than 1200 pages which have to be migrated into the portal environment.
These pages after migrating should be able to be edited while in the editor.
Can anyone direct me how to achieve that. I really appreciate your response. Please let me know if any information is needed.
    Thanks,

If the source material is in a Microsoft Office format (MS Word, for example) and if you have Collaboration Server, you can bulk upload the handbook into a collaboration project.
Collaboration has a WebEdit feature (assuming you installed it in your environment) that you can use to check out, edit and check in documents in the browser without downloading them to your local machine.
The users would need to have at least Edit access to the documents through project security.

  • Deploying an existing WAR file into the Portal

I have downloaded the Enterprise Portal and the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio (NDS) and have succeeded in creating a couple of projects of the ‘Hello World’ variety and deployed them on the Portal!  So far, so good.
The problem I have is that need to deploy on the Portal an existing JSP/Struts application of ours which is available as a Web Archive (WAR) file.
The problem is that I cannot find a way of deploying an existing WAR file on the Portal – either via a Project or otherwise.  I have found an entry in the Help files with the NDS which sounds promising, as it is entitled ‘Import a .WAR File into a new project’.  However, the menu entry it says you should use (File &#8209;> Import &#8209;> MDK: Import a web archive (.WAR) into a new project) this last entry does not exist on my installation of NDS.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi Mustafa (and All) - thanks you very much for your answers, which has enabled me to make good progress.
I have created a project in the Deploy Tool, imported a simple WAR file into it, loaded to project and depployed it on my instance of the Portal - or at least I have deployed it as far as the Deploy Tool is concerned.
However, when I try to find it in the Portal in order to assign it to an iView in the Portal content, I can't find any evidence of its existence!!
As another 'tack' in the NDS I have created an 'Enterprise Application Project', into which I appear to have imported the WAR file - but I cant package this as a PAR file, which is what I seem to need to do to get it into an iView on the Portal.  To create a PAR package I seem to need to create a 'Portal Application Project' - but I can't find a way of getting the WAR file into that!!
Any further advice would be greatefully received.
Thanks for your help to date and thanks in advance for any more you may be able to give.
    Regards,
    Dave

  • How to use an self-made iView in the Portal Content?

    Hi everybody,
I followed the instructions to set up a Portal (6.0 SP 2) with the PDK. Now I just wrote a simple "Hello-World" iView and deployed it into the portal server. It worked fine when I clicked to test it in the Java Development Inspector.
    But...
In the Portal Content I can not find my self-made iView? How do I get it there? I coudn't find any documentation.
    I'd appreciate your help!

In the portal content try to create a new Iview and select the option (create new iview from portal Archive).
After selecting that you will see all the PARs deployed on your server, just select yours and follow on.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks

  • Collaboration Launch Pad as iview in the Portal content

    Hi friends,
i have the following problem. I configured the collaboration launch pad (real time collaboration) and it works fine.
I just don´t want to start the iview from the collaboration link next to the TREX search. Instead of that i need the iview with the user status and the possibility to start an instant message session within the portal content.
Does anyone know if it is possible and what is the name of the corresponding iview?
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

    Hi Michael
Create an new iView (new from PAR => iView) and select the com.sap.netweaver.coll.shared.ui
Create a link in the iView to the contacts:
In the iView properties add in field "Path for Initially Displayed Folder": /alias/%3Cmycontacts%3E
and in field "Path for Start Uri": /alias/<mycontacts>
    Hope this helps.
This worked, but I needed also to activate the Tool Area with activated CLP link. I didn't get it work without Tool Area.

    Stefan

Could someone please clarify this to me.

    Hi Ignacio,
Should they be transported manually to the QA system or will they again be created automatically when I start accessing these BW iviews in QA system.

  • Portal Content Studio Download

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a sample IView. All the helpcentres talked about using Portal Content Studio -> Content Management -> and then create a IView.
I have installed Netweaver Sneak Preview 6.4 and Netweaver Developer Studio. Are these components sufficients to create an IView, if yes can somebody point me how to do that. If not what software i need and how do i install it.
    Regards,
    Rupak Kumar...

    Hi,
Yes. That is sufficient for creating iViews. Create a sample portal application from this link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/44/46b9d670e20597e10000000a155369/content.htm
Once u have created, deploy the application to the server. Then login to portal server using http://<i>server:port</i>/irj/portal
Login with Administrator and password u have set when u installed the server. Then choose Content Administration -> portal Content. Right click portal content and choose new -> folder. After Creating a folder, right click it and choose new from par -> iView.
Then select the name of ur project (par file) and create an iView. U can preview ur iView also and see the output.
