Problem launching admin console

Has anyone encountered a problem launching the admin console?
I get this Internet Explorer error saying, "Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience"
Thanks.

Never mind, I figured it out.

    mmm, it could be CPU, it could be a network-related issue... are you using multicast or unicast?
    can you reproduce the issue?
    if yes, can you run "top" to verify the CPU usage,
    and do a thread dump on the admin server?
    or at that point the box is entirely unresponsive?
    in that case, running a scripts which periodically does a thread dump, and running top to sample every 10 seconds, could help...

  • Unable to launch Admin Console

    My co-worker is a full administrator (as am I)- she cannot launch the admin console. DCOM is configured properly. Verified .Net framework is 4.5.1 just like mine. Any suggestions???????????? Screen shot below:

    Hi,
    You can use a UDL file to test various connectivity scenarios, create a simple text file, rename the extension from TXT to UDL, fill out the necessary information on the connection tab then test the connection, and troubleshoot as necessary
    if it fails to connect.

  • Problems with admin console in firefox 4 and chrome 10

    I am experiencing problems when accessing the admin console with firefox 4.0 or chrome.
    Apparently this came up after i switched to firefox 4.0.
    Symptoms:
    In many admin screens the detailed information is missing. e.g. the list of SGD servers is not visible at all.
    Sometimes it flashes briefly, as if it were created but deleted immediately afterwards....
    Has anybody seen this?
    The same does not occur with Internet Explorer.

    You can use a userscript like this one to make it work in Chrome and Firefox:
    // ==UserScript==
    // @match https://*/sgdadmin/*
    // ==/UserScript==
    var a = document.all;
    for (var i = 0; i < a.length; i++) {
    var e = a;
    if(e.id.match("Form:")) {
    e.hidden = false;

    (Requires Greasemonkey on Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/)

  • Problem accessing admin console

    Hi,
    I am new to oracle identity manger.I just installed the whole oim setup on linux machine.All worked fine and i was able to access admin console and was able to log into it.
    But after installing wegate i am not able to access admin console though weblogic is starting fine.While starting weblogic using xlstartserver script i get get some exception like it cannot find some class for nexaweb something like that and it cannot load ejb module.Well i do not understand what is wrong.
    Please help me.
    thanks.

    I've also been getting this error 100% of the time since subscribing our team to Creative Cloud earlier this week - so far the money's been wasted and have found no way to access adminconsole.adobe.com.
    I can access creative.adobe.com just fine - but this is useless for me, as it is entirely personalised and contains no options or data that are related to the administration of my team account. I've called the support line, but was sadly unable to find anyone offering support - only sales advice!
    Anybody able to shed any light on this whatsoever? All the Adobe Support I've been in touch with is entirely unable to assist with website problems - they just want to sell me the software that I already bought ; )

  • Problem with Admin Console not responding

    I had an issue with the adminConsole hanging.
    It stopped responding properly, I could not drill in past "Clusters" to get detail on "servers".
    This happened when a box or an individual "Linux Server" that has multiple WL server nodes running on it, that are part of two clusters in the same domain.
    The WL environment is WL 10.3. We can find no root cause for the box simply crashing. It physically had to be power cycled, and when it came back it came up clean with no issues and has been running fine for a few days with no more issues.
    To paint a picture:
    AdminServer for funkyDoomDomain runs on Linux box called adminBoxOne
    In the funkyDoomDomain there are 4 clusters (chickenCLuster, duckCluster, pigCluster, horseCluster) in each cluster there are 3 nodes
    each node targets a separate box, nodeBoxOne, nodeBoxTwo, and nodeBoxThree.
    So what happened was nodeBoxOne went down, we have monitoring scripts that tell us if there is anything wrong with the box and all it's parts, even the health of the WL nodes, we received zero alerts so we have no root cause, but that is not the point of this post.
    The point, the question is, does anyone have an idea as to why the AdminServer for the funyDoomDomain would stop responding properly.
    A note here is that we have a bunch of t3 python scripts to work with applications and clusters(nodes), these scripts got the same behavior. I could not check the health status of nodes still running on the other two boxes in the domain.

  • Creating users for admin console access

    When I install the web server onto my system part of the installation is to create an admin user and password. I'd like to create another user to log into the web server admin console with the same or limited permissions. I don't want to have to hand out the 'admin' password to multiple people, I'd prefer to create new accounts for each person that needs to administer some part of the webserver and set permissions for each. Can't seem to find out how this is done in the admin guide.

  • BO 5.1.7 admin console hangs

    Hi All,
    We are running BO 5.1.7. The issue is we have imaged the working environment to a new enviornment, this is on unix environment. Infoview works fine on the old server as well as the new imaged server, but when we launch admin console it just hangs after entering username and password.Restarted all the servers but the issue still persists.
    Could anyone of you please suggest your thoughts...
    Thanks...

    It's been a long time since this version but is your OSAgent running on the new machine on a different port from the old machine?  If not, make sure it is.  It should be in the range of 1024-65535.  You could use osfind to determine if another is listening on the port as well.

    On a WebIntelligence server, there are several causes of conflicts with CORBA products including:
    - PC Anywhere
    - Tivoli server management software
    - If you have a Compaq server, the "Surveyor" service may not be disabled
    - You do not have a dedicated server
    - The Oracle database is not installed on the same server as the WebIntelligence Server
    In the cases of "PC Anywhere" and "Tivoli", you must you must disable these products and/or any other third party software that use the CORBA architecture.

    To use the osfind tool, you must launch a DOS command prompt.
    Type the following line at the command prompt to generate a "*.txt" file called "osfind":

    The file will contain entries similar to the following lines:

  • Admin Console access with custom providers

    Hello,
    I am using a custom authentication and authorization providers that
    work just fine with my applications, but i have problems using Admin
    Console with them (WL Server 7.0). The server is successfully started
    with a user that has been given rights to '<svr>.myserver.boot' etc.
    Logging into Console is successful as well and most Console pages can
    be viewed as usual. But when i'm trying to save any changes, or if i
    try to just view certain Console pages, i get
    'weblogic.management.NoAccessRuntimeException'. For example:
    weblogic.management.NoAccessRuntimeException: Access not allowed for
    subject: principals=[MyPrincipalImpl:  Admin Weblogic], on
    ResourceType: JDBCTxDataSource Action: write, Target: PoolName
    or
    weblogic.management.NoAccessRuntimeException: Access not allowed for
    subject: principals=[MyPrincipalImpl:  Admin Weblogic], on
    ResourceType: Security:Name=MyRealmMyAuthenticator Action: execute,
    Target: listGroups
    When viewing most console pages, the custom provider is called by
    WebLogic, resource information is parsed, then found from the
    Principal and permission is granted. But as seen above, in some cases
    WebLogic itself tries to find something non-existing from my
    Principal, totally bypassing my custom provider implementation.
    Obviously i am missing something here :).
    Is there a way to direct all Console security checks to my custom
    provider, or could this perhaps be a matter of configuration?
    Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

  • Admin Console browser problem

    Hi,
    This is a peculiar problem that I am facing. I am working with iPS3.0SP3 on solaris8. My installation went fine. But when I try to access Admin console(thru Netscape 4.7 or 4.75), I have the login screen displayed. But, after I provide User and Password and hit Submit button, the browser window vanishes. This has been happening with SP2 also. And my login to the portal desktop screen is successful. My browser window is available. The problem is only with the Admin Console.
    Now when I tried to Login to the same portal server instance's Admin Console thru the local Web Browser on a different machine, its working fine. I mean, the windows doesnt close.
    Any guess on what could be the problem.
    Thanks & Regards.
    shivaram.

    Hi there Shivaram,
    I have found a similar problem, when using iPS. If you have logged into the portal desktop and then wan't to log into the admin console, the admin console seems to fail when logging in. What I have found, is that after you logout of the desktop, and then go to the console login, it helps to just click the reload button in netscape, while on the admin console login screen. It seems that you need to clear the session cookie first, otherwise admin authentication fails. Alternatively you can start a seperate instance of Netscape from the command line, which then forces Netscape to create an alternative temporary store, and lock files. I'm not sure wheteher this will help, but this is what I have seend before.... comments welcome..
