Problem loading flash cs4

I dont know why flash cannot load, after installing it i
launched the program and it stays on the splash screen stuck at
"Loading Standard Profiles...." part.
I have an earlier version of flash 8 and its been runing
great from day one, i uninstalled it thinking there was conflicting
issues but still nothing.
My machine is xp with sp2 with 2gb of memory intel core duo
any ideas?

Adobe hasn't made Flash CS4 available yet as a public beta
or trial
download -- at least, not that I see on the Flash product
page -- so my
first question is, did you install something you shouldn't
have?

Cannot open grooveshark due to a supposed problem loading flash. (I have the latest version of both (Mozilla and Flash)

Everything with firefox works ok except Grooveshark. An error message appears saying: We had problems loading flash, you might have any blocker etc etc.
I don´t have any blocker and as a matter of fact i have the latest versions for both mozilla and flash. Neither version of flash test nor reinstallation process nor checking add ons or firewall settings solved my problem.

To double-check your Flash permissions for the site, you can click the globe or padlock icon to the left of the address, click More Information, then click the Permissions tab. The "Activate Plugins" section would be the one to check.
I understand you have checked your add-ons, but in case there is an unexpected interaction, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode just to confirm that extensions are not the problem? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

Problem with Flash CS4. Getting error when rendering the file

Hi,
One of my user is facing problem with Flash CS4.
Whenever he tries to render the file, Flash CS4 throws the below error and only after restarting the application, it works fine for another couple of hrs.
Please some one help me to resolve this issue.

Problem loading flash player...

I am running windows xp sp3 ....... I down loaded the flash player 10. 102. 64 . everything went as planned ...the only place I could find evidence that the player downloaded was by going in to the control panel and add or remove software feature. It showed that it loaded it...but showed no memory occupation. While in Control panel, I highlighted the new flash player entry. and it simply showed a link to adobe support. So, I am here trying to help solve by providing my input.
I logged on as System admin, killed the virus software processes, and downloaded it all again after having removed the previous version. Same Results
I have taken several approaches with no success...each time going into the control panel and noting the entry of the flash player 10 with no mem. size being their. I then uninstalled the thing using adobes DLM...it does say that it is installed and done...also it does remove the entry when uninstalling.
I updated my java script .....once again the same results....right now ...my computer says that the flash player is loaded no memeory occupied (via control panel) but the only thing is a link to adobe....so, has any body had this experience.

Hi, The Flash Player is a browser plugin, not a standalone player. There will be no size or any info in Control Panel/Add/Remove/Programs & Features.
Check a couple of recent threads or click on my name to several threads I have posted on helping users with the same issue.

Problem Uninstalling Flash CS4

I have downloaded the trial version of Flash CS4. When I try to uninstall it an error message appears saying that I have Adobe Bridge open, which I don't. I restarted my computer, tried Uninstalling it again and the same problem occured. What can I do to fix this and uninstall the program?

Weird AIR problem in Flash CS4.

I have an AIR 1.5 Flash CS4 project that utilizes the new facebook api. While the project works as expected by using "Test Movie" inside flash, when I compile it it gives the error:
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flash.html::HTMLLoader could not be found.
at com.facebook.graph::FacebookDesktop$/login()
at SonyEricsson_fla::MainTimeline/frame17()
I have read various posts about swc prioritization but even that doesn't help, I have compiled the project by using the trial of CS5 but the same problem persists. It is as if during compilation the flash.html.HTMLLoader class is omitted. Could you suggest anything please? Thank you.

Thanks for your response. Yes I created a roll-over button of the photo in the graphic I made and then I was trying to create an ActionScript to play the movie (zoomout effect of the text on the graphic) when the mouse rolled over the photo (button). But I have been having a hard time implementing this action. I am trying to follow directions according to my book but making this ActionScript has been another problem I am having. I don't know how to view code in Flash. This graphic is intended for a website I am creating in Dreamweaver so I'm just adding the button, zoomout effect and actionscript in Flash. Is there a way to undo the current actionscript applied and try again? Do you have any tips for creating this kind of ActionScript using the Action panel? Maybe once I get the ActionScript right the movie will play as it should in Test Movie??

Video Problems with Flash CS4

I'm having what I think is video problems since I switched to
CS4. Frequent apparent redraws leave remnants on screen, panels
move back and forth, etc.
I have a Dell Precision 490 with 4gb ram and a nVidia Quadra
fx 550 with 128 megs of ram. Open GL is enabled. I have loaded all
the latest nVidia drivers.
If this sounds like a video card problem, can anyone
recommend a good, not too expensive card? I don't play any games,
just use the machine for PS. ID and Flash mostly.

Just to be clear, when you initially did a Burn to Disc for the DVD, it tested and played perfectly, including the full Linked Timelines. It was ONLY with the Flash Export, that things went pear-shaped. Is that correct?

Problem loading flash into website

machine, but it somehow can not load the images into website,
although all the paths are correct. Did anyone else had this
problem?

Problem loading Flash Player - no privilages

Tried loading in Firefox and IE. Same problem. Tried running the install program as administrator and the same problem.
Yesterday I got the notice to install the new version. I can't use some websites till this is installed.
How do I fix this?

Chrome uses a separate plug-in. It functions independently of ActiveX.
Usually a clean install will take care of the registering ActiveX error.
To do a clean install, download the following:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Uninstaller
Also, download these:
Shockwave Player Uninstaller
You'll need to install Shockwave with the FULL installer for IE too, but there isn't a direct download for it. You'll need to go to: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/ using IE AFTER everything else is done.
Save all the files and close your browser.
Run the uninstallers first (both of them)
Go to: C/Windows/System32
Delete the Macromed folder.
Go to: C/Windows/SysWOW64
Delete the Macromed folder.
Open your Registry Editor (Start>Run or press the Windows key + R and type 'regedit' [minus the quotes] and click OK)
In the Registry Editor, go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE
Delete the Macromedia folder (Right click and choose "Delete").
Go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software and delete the Macromedia folder there too.
Close the Registry Editor and empty your recycle bin.
Run the Flash Player installer.
Lastly, open IE and go to: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/ to download and install the Shockwave FULL installer for ActiveX (IE).
Then see: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448 and http://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968 to ensure that your settings are correct for IE and ActiveX.

Problem loading flash 5 swf in flash 8

The problem is this:
I am trying to load a flash 5 swf movie using the loadMovie
function.
The problem is that it loads on my computer, but it doesn't
on the client's computer! I have Flash Player 8. Could this be a
problem? Could it be that he's having an older version of Flash
player? I asked him and he didn't answer me yet. So I'm also asking
you...
Do you know what the problem might be???

right, not that complicated! :) I can't see why it would work

if that code works for a flash 8 player it will work for a
flash5 player or later. however, there may be other code in the
flash 8 swf that might not work for an older player.

Problem loading flash video

My nephew set up my website for me and showed me how to load
video files three years ago. I am now trying to add some more but
the Insert > Media > flash route is uploading the files but
they're not appearing anywhere on the specified pages. The other
folders with flash video have files called
FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf and clearSkin_1.swf. What do these do and
how do I get them into the new folder I am creating for the new
flv. files?

It would've been better if you posted a url. A first guessing
it's that
you inserted with the wrong choice. It should've been
insert>Media>Video
Flash.
Anyway for more help post a url pls.

Sound problems with Flash CS4

Hello. I am currently preparing a presentation in CS4, and I've run into a really strange issue.
Said presentation is roughly 3000+ frames, and easily over 100 layers deep, with a lot of fade-in/fade-out animations.
It's also suposed to have sounds. Small clips that only last for a few seconds. However... after putting in one of said sounds (an .aif, also tried at .wav), for some reason, the clip plays briefly in an earlier frame when I publish it. It has, in fact, played at least twice in one moment, but the second sound went away when I deleted the layer and tried again... the first is still there.
Looking at the library confirms that the sound is only being used once, in the frames I set up for it. It plays just fine and as it should in said frames. I have manually looked in the layers it seems to show up on, but none of them have sound. For the record, the sound is set up as Stream.
So it's either a bug or my presentation is haunted. It's not a HUGE deal according to the other people I'm working with, but it's driving me nuts as I try to figure it out. Does anybody have any idea how to deal with this issue?

1. delete the sound from your library and retest to confirm everything works as expected (and that sound is not present).
2. convert that sound to an mp3, import to your library and add it once to the main timeline. (if you add it to any other movieclip's timeline, you have a potential problem to discuss.) test.

Problems loading flash player 10.1

Last week the flash player web page showed the moving flash player logo and said fp was installed. Control panel/ programs did not show 10.1. I uninstalled active fp and today tried again to install 10.1. I get the download manager showing 10.1 is at 100% progress and dl and installation progress is 100%. Status shows Installing application. Adobe Air Installer is 100% and status is installation pending. Previously at this point I tried a restart and showed an install but today that stradegy (restart) didn't work. I turned off avg anti virus.. I have previously left on download manager all night when showing "installing application" but no change or success.
The Install Adobe Flash Player came up at startup and as usual showed Quit but install doesn't show.
Welcome any help on this problem.

Hi, you are missing the very small box that is right above the quit box. It is hard to see, but you have to check it, this accepts the license. After you do that the Install box can be clicked on and it will work.
Try again. Everyone has a problem seeing it.

You know I'am having the same problem, Using flash CS4 after
publishing I check it with Preview-flash and its good but when
checking with Preview-HTML it doesn't work. ??? and it doesn't work
after publishing and inserting into Dreamweaver or after uploading
to server, I get no errors just no video? can any explain this
situation I am in?
