Problem loading Windows 7 in a MacAir 3.1 after a SSD disk crash.

I have a MacAir Model 3.1, about 3 months after buying it I change the SSD disk from 128GB to one of 240 GB.
The machine has two partitions one for Mac OS X, first Snow Leopard, and after I upgrade to Lion without
any trouble, and the other with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.
About 3 weeks ago, I closed the lid, and when came back to work, the screen was grey, and the machine
didn't answer to any command, any one.
I change to the original disk, and the problem was that the new disk was broken from one instant to the next.
I took the time to upgrade the machine to Mavericks 10.9.2, and all was fine, with bootcamp I created the
bootcamp partition for Windows, and using Clonezilla I restore an Image of the Windows partition that I
made some time ago, the restore procedure run ok, but when i tried to boot from Windwos the screen
was black and with a blinking cursor in the upper left corner.
I started to check all the internet entries for this kind of error, and I found several important information.
Seems that the problem is that I need to boot Windows with the original disk, and do some disk repair
with bootrec.exe in the MBR, Boot and Bcd.
The problem is that I can't boot Windows from the original Disk, the booting ends after the Loading Files
page, and I never got to the page with the logo of Windows.
I generate a USB stick, with a program from Microsoft, and the iso file, and the same thing happens,
I can't boot to Windows.
Using the Mavericks, Paragon NTFS, diskutil, etc I see the two partitions I can navegate in the NTFS file
system, erase files, etc, with disk utils and the Paragon NTFS driver I can check the Mac OS X and the
NTFS partitions, all is OK, all the files are there, there are no errors in both file systems, but I can't find a
form to booting to Windows to do the needed repair.
I read about using only one USB for the DVD reader, or the USB stick, done, same problem.
When I did the original install about 2.5 years ago, there was no problem with this step in the procedure,
the new part is the Maverick 10.9.2, but it seems fine with all the testing that I have done.
By any chance is someone having now or just had the same problem.?
Is there some actualization of firmware related to a case similar to this one..? by the way the hardware test runs also OK

This case was solved by an Authorized Apple Repair store. My problem was that I was using an optical unit, but not a Apple Super Drive, when I bought the machine 3 years ago, I used an Optical Drive that allowed me to Boot Windows without any trouble, in the meantime I upgraded my unit to one capable of reading/writing form CDs to Blue Rays passign thru DVDs, and using this unit the process of loading Windows stopped after the " Loading Files" part, today the perssonal at the repair center let me use an Apple Super Drive, and Windows booted from that unit easily as expected. Sorry for bother you with this question that had a surprised answer for me. Case solved. Points to the store.

Problem loading window component more than once

I have a swf with a button that opens a window component
(from my library). it loads fine and also closes fine when I click
the close button in the window. but when I try to open the window
again, it actually loads again, but it stalls and locks up
immediatley. can anybody tell me what is wrong with my code? I also
was going to have different buttons to open different windows (each
swf playing a song and has written lyrics). it does the same thing
when i load the first window, close it, then try to open a second
window. it stalls and locks up.
please, I really need some help!

It order to make it work, the window component has to be on the stage but i want it to popup only when the user clicks on the button. So the window should be hidden/invisible when the page first loads. I tried changing win._visible = true; but that did nothing.
The other problem is that the movie clip inside the window, isnt aligning center. i can only see a corner of the movie clip. in the top left. I havent tested the whole thing live though!

Problems with Windows 8.1 Updates - Black Screen after login

I have a HP Pavilion g6 (SKU is D0Y12EA#ABU) and it's been running Windows 8.1 64bit without any trouble ... until recently.
On the last two occasions that I've done a Windows Update, something has caused the laptop to stop booting correctly. I get the logon screen but once I input the password, it gives me a black screen and a mouse cursor. I'm able to boot into Safe Mode and I've tried updating the Intel Graphics drivers but it doesn't help. The only recourse I end up having is to roll back to a Restore Point and prevent Windows Update from running.
Does anyone know if there is a specific update that is causing this? If so, can I get the KB number so that I can stop it from installing?

I have a DV7-7133nr to which I have modified to SSDs, 16 Gig of Ram and Windows 8.1. I too had the black screen of death for a long time and have read many forums, and nothing worked until my last attempt. I am an Intel Channel Member and Partner and a Microsoft Partner, and this has fixed the problem, but it only applies to boards running the Intel Graphics 4000 video.
1. Go to Hp's website and make sure you have the latest bios update. I did, so at boot up, I held the f10 and reset the bios to default settings, hit f10 and saved.
2. When booted into windows, I went to the Intel website, support, drivers, and searched for the Graphics 4000 driver. Their driver was later than Hp's so I downloaded it to my desktop. I then uninstalled the hp driver through the Device Manager and removed everything, and rebooted the computer. That gave me back the Microsoft basic video driver. I then installed the Intel driver I downloaded, and not only did it removethe Microsoft basic Driver, but it installed correctly and gave me a control panel for the driver.
3. Since then, about 2 weeks ago, I have not had a black screen since. The HP Driver is out of date for Windows 8.1, but this DV7 has been the best laptop I have ever owned.

Short answer: No, not automatically. Long answer: Yes, it can be done but with some tricks. First you'll have to make your SAN export LUs built from flash and from spindles. At least one of each (see URL below). Then you'll have to build storage spaces (even
clustered but that's not officially supported for non-SAS disks) from them.

Both LUs would have non-SSD type reported so you'll have manually assign types with PowerShell what's flash and what's spindle.

CHKDSK fails on fresh install of Windows 7 x64 on mid-2009 MBP with SSD

There was an earlier post about this that has been archived prematurely that I will reproduce below. The main issue is a flaw in the Windows 7 x64 CHKDSK of the SSD drive in the mid-2009 MBP= 5,2. With fresh OSX installs, bootcamp 3.1, Windows 7 x64 all updates, the CHKDSK operation checks files at about 1 per second in stage 4 of 5, verifying file data.

Hello, I have been having filesystem problems on my Windows 7 partition since the HDD related firmware update (the latest Performance update) was released and installed onto this mid 2009 MacBook Pro.
The HDD is a 500 GB 7200 RPM model, but it never gave me any troubles under OS X before the "fix" and I know other users had intermittent problems with the HDD on their MacBook Pro's related to the HDD making noises and pausing.
The fix was released, I installed it and I started seeing my first problem in Windows 7 x64 a few days after... I cleanly shut the OS down, but when I booted it back it asked me to perform a coherency check to the Filesystem... I thought that the problem was related to the fact that I was using the RC1 build of Windows 7... although that problem never manifested itself in the weeks before the Performance Update (HDD firmware fix) was installed and Windows 7 x64 RC1 had been on there and used frequently.
I recently purchased Windows 7 retail a few days ago and after a bit of trouble-free operation I started having problems again... always shutting the PC down carefully and I was asked to run the CHKDSK utility at boot twice already.
What to do?

I have a different experience. I installed Windows 7 before the "performance update 1.0" came out. I actually experienced the chkdsk launch problem with Windows 7. I had done repartitioning and clean-install several times but cannot solve the problem. So I tried to install XP and Vista on my MBA (Mid 2009 with SSD) and found that these two OS doesn't introduce such problem.
To be honest, I'm not sure which caused such problem, Windows 7, a bootcamp driver, or EFI. But I'm sure that CHKDSK in Windows 7 has an obvious bug that needs to be patched (memory leak and maybe this problem as well). So now I'm using Windows Vista SP2. And I'm happy with Vista SP2 (seems to become faster and stable now).

When opening new page, an extra window says "problem loading page"

Opening the Firefox browser causes a second tab at the bottom to pop up that reads "problem loading page"...the pages I want to view open up fine, on all websites, I just get an extra annoying tab with that message...if I click on that tab, a small window pops up in the upper left hand corner of the screen that has the error message. I am using FF 3.6. This just started happening recently...possibly after my las FF upgrade.

Windows 7 problem loading CS4ext.

Hi. My problem started when I decided to use Windows 7 Home Premium and Photoshop CS4 Ext, .upgrading from XP Home and CS2. Prior to loading these I reformatted my HDD's etc using an 80GB drive for C:// and repartitioning a 320GB drive to 150GB and 150GB. Windows 7 is on the C: drive, but now I cannot load the Adobe PSCS4 ext. DVD disk. Each time I try it comes up with Access Denied. I am not too well versed in software and wonder if anyone can sulpply a solution.. I know there are some compatibility problems with some older programs. Thanks .

Updated windows. Firefox gives "Problem loading page" error everytime now.

my computer told me that windows updates were available and that I needed to restart so I did. When the restart was complete firefox doesn't work at all now. It jut gives me the "Problem loading page" error no matter what website I visit. I have tried removing it from my windows fire wall and re-adding it but that did not help. I also try to uninstall firefox and reinstall but that didn't help either.
I am using Widows 7 for what it's worth. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK, I think I have this solved. After reading my post over, I decided to rethink the problem. First thing I did was download Chrome and I tried using that and IE again and surprise! I was having the same problem on those browsers as well. So now we know it wasn't Firefox. I then figured maybe a slow computer meant a virus, so I ran scans. I've had both Avast and IOBit for months now and I've never had a problem with either of them before. Then I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran a third scan. They all picked some stuff up, but nothing serious. Then I tried disabling all the antivirus stuff and that didn't solve anything. But then I decided to keep Malwarebytes and I uninstalled IOBit Security and whammo - problem solved.
I have no idea why out of the blue IOBit would be causing a problem like this so if someone knows, please let me in on the secret. Additionally, IE was working fairly well last night but not this morning. I also don't know why removing IOBit would take care of the nsAppShell issue, because supposedly, that's related to Firefox plug ins. And one more thing...when Comcast hooked my neighbor up to cable, they did it by putting a splitter on my line. They were messing about with the lines yesterday before I got on my computer last night trying to decide how to rerun them and today they did that, taking the splitter off my line and giving my neighbor his own line. That was finished about 30 minutes before I uninstalled IOBit. So....who knows?
But I ain't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. I have my Firefox back and I am so sorry for bad mouthing you last night - I love you, Firefox!
