Problem logging onto WRT160N router.

I installed the WRT160N router successfully, setting the type of connection (B/G/N/) to mixed. My laptop and wireless printer see the network just fine, but when I try to logon with the laptop, I get the following error message: "The network password needs to be 40 bits or 104 bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ASCII characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal digits." I can't figure out when I go back to the setup of the router which settings need to be changed and to what. The wireless printer can't log on to the router either. Thanks...

Make sure that you are using correct network key (for Ex: 10hex or 26hex digit)  ..... Check the key from the setup page of wireless router .....

  • Problems logging onto the Cloud wifi

I have the Cloud wifi set up on my iphone and ipad and they've worked fine for a year or so. In the last couple of months I haven't been able to access the internet through it though. It loads up the signing in page and after entering my username and password it takes me to the welcome page showing my devices as normal. However, whenever I try and navigate away from that it just takes me back to the signing in page. Any help?

My problems logging onto the Sky Cloud wifi still remain. I have tried amending my user name and deleting and reinstalling the app, all to no avail. To try to clarify what happens once more: 1) I am in a Wi-Fi Hotspot (yesterday, for example I was in Pret-a-Manger in Brighton). 2) My iPhone 4S picks up the wi-fi availability 3) I use the iPhone Safari web-browser to log onto Google (it also works if I use Yahoo) 4) I am re-directed to the relevant Cloud log-on options. So far so good. 5) I select the Cloud "Get on Line" option and am eventually redirected to the Sky Cloud Wi-Fi page, which confirms I am logged on, confirms my name and confirms my iPhone device. Again, all good so far. 6). Now the problems start. I go back into Google (or any other website) and am then redirected back to the Cloud log-on options again (see point 4 above). 7) I select CLoud "Get on Line" option and am redirected to the Sky Cloud Wi-Fi page again which still confirms I am logged on (see point 5 above). 8) This loop then continues forever until I give up. In short, I am obviously logged on but for some reason cannot get beyond that stage. On some occasions I am given the option to download the Sky Wifi app, which is a bit pointless because (a) I already have this on my iPhone, and (b) since I am not properly connected anyway, I cannot connect to the iTunes Store in any case (an error message tells me this)!! I have tried logging on both through the method as describeed above, and also by skipping Point 3 and instead clicking directly onto the Sky Wifi app, but all that does is take me to Point 4 and then the problems continue. Please help. I never had this issue before Sky took over the Cloud and I am becoming increasing frustrated. Thank You.

  • Problem logging onto Mail Server

I have iDS, iMS, iWS & iDA installed on my machine,
Also created few users through iDS & iMS - Users & Groups Tab. but when i tried to configure any of the new user with Microsoft Outlook Express giving me an error "Problem logging onto Mail Server, UserName or Password was rejected, Server Response: ERR Authentication failed, accout : UserID, POP3 Server : host ip.
But with the same configuration/setting for Default UserID ie ServiceAdmin it works properly..
Is there any different way for creating a new users for iMS.
    I'll appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks
    Sunil.

The Users&Groups tab in Console will not work to create users/groups. The Console does not know how to fully create such.
That's why iPlanet Delegated Admin was shipped with iMS 5.2. Please install that, and use it to create users.
If you cannot use iDA for some reason, please refer to the Provisioning Guide for what attributes and such are needed:

  • Problem logging onto forum

    Hi peeps,
I surf the net using Chrome, but I've just gone to log onto the forum and a big warning sign came up saying something along the lines of 'This page contains non-secure content'.
Then, on the log in page, the website address started with a lock with a big red cross over it, then 'https:'
    https://community.bt.com/t5/user/userloginpage?dest_url=http%3A%2F%2Fcommunity.bt.com%2Ft5%2FBT-Vision%2F...
So I've logged on now using ie7.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what is happening?

I've just gone to reply to a thread (using my normal method) and I had no saved forum ID or password where I normally do. Looks like BT have adopted https and not the http for these thriving forums.
Sorry DS, I don't know what that means.
Although it was the httpS that initially pricked my alarm bell there may be a problem.
I don't log in to the forums, just lurk. If I see a post that I think I'll reply to, I click the reply button which automatically takes me to the sign in page, which used to be insecure, using http. Now (even with this reply), it uses https - secure. I'd then reply and then sign out. I may continue lurking, but not as much as I used to.
When it was http, my details would be saved in the ID and password boxes, they then vanished and then I spotted the https at the beginning of the address. I've since saved my details on this new https address.
For some time now I've used https where I can
If owt goes boobs up, guess I'll use http://bt.lithium.com/ instead of the normal - http://community.bt.com/
Mods, feel free to comment on any or all of the above.....
Anyway, it's late/early (depending on how you look at it) and my head is yet to hit a pillow, so have a ponder over this as it explains https - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Secure

  • Problems logging onto imessage

my ipad will not let me log onto Imessage, it always says that i am logging in with the wrong password when i know for sure that it is correct. is there a way to reset an imessage password? i have tried changing my apple ID password but that didnt do anything. i even tried creating a new apple id from the imessage thing and created a new one to use for the imessage, but it STILL said it was incorrect, is there anything i can do?

    Nope,
Use your Guest account and see if you can log in, if you can then there is an issue with your user account.

  • Has anyone else experienced problems logging onto internet after ios7 update?  I have to go through all these resets of iPad and the modem until the iPad recognizes the home internet. It is highly frustrating.

Experiencing difficulty logging into the home internet after iOS 7 update. It will no
to recognize the wifi. I have to reset the iPad network settings in airplane mode and the modem each time I need to use the internet. If I'm lucky the iPad will then accept the wifi code and join the network. so frustrating!

    Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • Problem Logging Onto Mac Mini

When I turned on my computer, instead of the three accounts showing up on the first splash screen there was a prompt for the name of an account and the password. When I entered the account names and passwords (I tried all three accounts that I have on my mac mini), it said that the passwords do not match the account name (I know that the passwords are correct). Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thank you.

Try to boot from the install disk and then check the user names on the Reset Password Utility. If you want you can go ahead an reset the password as well just to be certain.

  • Unable to log onto MSN messenger

    Hi,
I am currently experiencing major problems logging onto msn messenger at home. The funny thing about my problem is that msn works fine using other wireless connections. I have called up my internet provider (tiscali), apple technical support, and belkin (the company that makes my wireless router). No such luck yet. Apparently I have managed to figure out that it isn't that program that is at fault, nor is my computer. I can log in fine with other wireless networks (e.g. school library). The tricky thing is that it isn't the fault of my internet provider. There is no problem in me surfing the web (logging into hotmail to check my email)and using internet wirelessly in the house. I downloaded adiumx, amsn, fire, and msn messenger for macs. none of the will allow me to sign in with any user name ending with @hotmail.com from what i have concluded.
it just won't read my hotmail address when i type in my username and password.
my internet provider is tsicali and since it did not come with a wireless router, i bought a belkin one on my own. the belkin technicians have put down all the firewalls (dmz settings?)and security settings and I STILL can't log on to msn.
there are no firewalls on my macbook by default. so there's nothing to disable.
tiscali does not block any sites for their users as an internet provider.
I have even gone into utilities and to the terminal icon and switched the mtu setting to 1400
what more can i do right now?
does anybody have any idea what could be wrong?
    my computer? router? internet provider?
    please advise!
    mucho gracias
p.s. my flatmate uses the wireless internet just fine. she has a pc laptop and can log on to msn messenger no problem

  • Logging onto sites with passwords issue

the last couple of days i've had problems logging onto sites that have required user names/passwords. the sites i have tried are all sites i have 'prefilled' so to speak and all i have to do is click log on. but lately, they don't allow me on, saying my password is incorrect. i go back in and change the password (with the website), but still i'm unable to log on. this has happened to me with 2 separate sites. any suggestions?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Websites can be coded to perform better with some browsers rather than others. The BB Browser can appear to websites as several different things...that setting is, from within the Browser App, (BBKey > Options > Browser Configuration > Browser Identification). Changing that to another browser might help your BB interact better with some websites. In combination with all of the other configuration settings, you need to find the combination of all of these settings that works best for the sites you are visiting. Sadly, there is no "best advice" to give as each persons needs are different. But, I typically find that changing the Browser Identification often helps -- most often by changing to FF or IE (if those are available to you...the options vary by carrier).
    Good luck!
