Problem modifying DTP Filters

Hi All,
i have a DTP based on an Open HUB that has many Infoobjects filters.
i'm trying to add the 0calmonth in the selection of my filter, i save and activate but after i don't find the 0calmonth in my filter.
can you give me please some advice what sould i do to fix that.
it's strange i tried many times and i don't understand what is the problem.

it doesn't work.
i have the 0calmonth in the cube but i don't have it in the open hub, do you think that the problem is that i should have the 0calmonth in the open hub?
in the transformation the 0calmonth is mapped with other 2 time characteristics created in the open hub.
when i go inside the dtp in change mode, i can go to filter and change selections transfering the 0calmonth from "list of other selectables fields" to "list of fields in selection screen" but when i save and activate again my dtp i lost it.

Problems with drill filters

In BO XI, I am facing problems with drill filters. I have a report with eight tabs and each tab has data corresponding to a particular value in the drill filter. A particular value is selected from the drill filter and the corresponding data is displayed in each tab. I need to select a value from the drill filter and display the corresponding data in the tab; while doing so when i save the report and open it again, the data corresponding to the particular filter value is not present instead it displays all the data. The only other way i could solve this problem was by creating a report level filter in each tab but this doesnt seem to work in other reports. What is the proper way of using the drill filter in this case?

Modified DTP activation error

Hi,
I am not able to activate a modified DTP in production system. I am getting the foll. log error message.
Diagnosis
Errors arose when activating Data Transfer Process DTP_467WJWTQRAUAB7HAEEM511TVT. An active version already existed before the activation.
System Response
Data Transfer Process DTP_467WJWTQRAUAB7HAEEM511TVT could not be reset to the old active version. Since the generated objects no longer correspond to the old active version, they were reset to inactive.
Procedure
The old active version of Data Transfer Process DTP_467WJWTQRAUAB7HAEEM511TVT can no longer be used. Remove the cause of the activation error and activate Data Transfer Process DTP_467WJWTQRAUAB7HAEEM511TVT anew.
I have done this with another DTP before, so I am not sure what's different this time. How do I activate this?
I did change the DTP back to its original state (since it says "Remove the cause of the activation error ")but wasn't able to activate then also.\

Thanks for the reply. The modified version of the DTP is inactive and inexecutable as per the version status at the top of the DTP display. The execute button is greyed out accordingly. When I try to activate the revised version, I get the error shown in my first post. Any ideas on how to activate it or completely remove the revised version?

Must not modify a filtering node, modify the origin

Hi All,
I have implemented a WDP JAVA app where I used removeSelectedElements() to remove the selected items, but in some times its throwing an error like com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.context.ContextException: Node
must not modify a filtering node, modify the origin
its really panic to identify that particular scenario still am trying to identify, please let me know if anybody having any alter for this.

Hi Rajesh,
In case of table filter there should be three nodes,
1st: source node(The container for actual data it may be model node, component controllers node or a node present in the view itself but mapped with a component controller node),
2nd: filter node: which will be having the attributes of type string some time other types but generally strings and the number of the attributes and name of the attributes will be similar to number of columns in table and name of those columns. * This should not be modified at runtime at any cost *, and i think somehow you are manipulating these attributes and you are getting the error.
3rd: the table source node: which will have the manipulated data from source node. Lets take it this way you get the data from source node filtered it (selected the data which should be visible) and put the filtered data in table source node and binded this node with the table to make these filter data visible over there.
In general case the source node and filter node should not be manipulated or modifies failing this will cause the errors like what you are getting. Please provide more details if you have any further questions or query.

DTP Filters Identification

Hello,
In a DTP process I need to select some records with these conditions:
If a Posting Date Range is entered in the DTPu2019s Filter Window then the process will be the standard, all records will be filtered using the entered date and moved to some other place.
If a Posting Date Range is NOT entered, then and ABAB routine will calculate the previous month and all records filtered will be those of the last month and then moved to some other place.
I will create an ABAP routine in DTPs-Posting Date, but how to know if the Date is entered manually or not?
I need to control both things in the same DTP-ABAP routine, if Posting Date is entered then Normal Process, else Previous Month is calculated.
System: BI 7.01

hello,
filters are like selections in your Info Package.
You can restrict the data that goes into your target by setting values in the filter.
e.g you can set fiscal year as 2008.Then data will get loaded to your target only for year 2008.
You can define routines in your filter to dynamically pass values based on some conditions.

Problem with IDoc filtering in the distribution model

Hello Experts,
We are using a distribution model in which we have set filters as like the following
Filter Group 1
Plant : XYZ
Sales Org: SAP1
As far as the documentation says this Condition should work with AND logic between Plant and Sales Org
(i.e ~ Plant XYZ and SO SAP1 ) but the IDoc gets created even if any one of the condition is met(looks like working in OR logic).
How to achieve the AND filtering between the different objects.
Would appreciate your kind help.

So that's the filtering problem.
I would check in which segments are the "filtering objects" located (BD59) and whether it is a mandatory segment. If it is a mandatory segment - IDoc should not be created. If it is an optional segment - this segment and its subsegmets will be filtered out - but IDoc will be created.

Problems modifiing field data

I am having a problem using SetProperty to modify fields in a multipage pdf file.
First i use xmpMeta.DumpObject ( DumpCallback, sLogFile );
to dump the existing data to a terminal window.
At first run this works fine and i get the existing value set in the Category field of the "Categories" Panel.
Next i use xmpMeta.SetProperty ( kXMP_NS_Photoshop, "Category", "2" );
to change the value of a field and then call xmpFile.PutXMP ( xmpMeta ); to save the file.
When i open the file again in my test application the data is empty when doing the dump to the terminal window.
If I open it in acrobat, however, the data is there. I am some how corrrupting the data when wrtiting it. Can anyone help quide me as to what I may be doing wrong?

Problem BW : DTP lost source system mapping and new one created?

I had a little question concerning the BI content activation, when you have to activate objects and there are two source systems, one of them already with a flow working. Do you have to check both source systems in your screen of source system selection, if there are shared objects? I was afraid if I only checked the one I wanted the existing one would dissappear? I donu2019t want to touch the existing one as it was a 3.5 flow which has been migrated to 7.0.
I have also another question, which is a worse scenario of what has happened recentlyu2026!! Imagine you have originally one source system in your BW DEV environment (towards QA) with a certain amount of Datasources connected to it as well as some DTPu2019s. A new source system was added to this BW DEV (towards PROD). Do you think adding this new source system could have an impact in the mapping of the DTP towards the Datasources? In fact, some of our DTP have been modified and they are pointing to the incorrect Datasource/Source system. These DTP were created manually as well as the Transformations as it was a former 3.5 flow. Do you know a way to bring it back to itu2019s previous connection. Maybe a table that points to the correct source system or a function module? RSBKDTP and RSBK* tables do not store this info (only descriptions) and RSRV doesnu2019t do it.
Please let me know if you have had a similar case! Points are waiting and the gratitude of my boss...lol

Problems with servlet filters

I'm trying to implement filters for some of the examples presented in the j2ee tutorial. Thus, I've realized a very simple filter that works very well for the Converter example (mapped to the index.jsp URL). But this filter doesn't work with the Duke's Bank application and I don't understand why. I've tried to map this filter to the Dispatcher servlet and also to different URLs, the filter is actually executed, but the client gets no response from the server.
Here's the source code for my filter :

As you're not actually doing anything in this filter but a quick System.out.print, there doesn't appear to be a problem with the filter code.
What does your web.xml file look like?
Does your IDE allow you to trace through the filter to the next target in the chain? If so, where does the code die? If not, use System.out.print statements to determine how far into the code you get.
No response to the client usually means that the response didn't have any content set. You can verify this by checking the state of the response object after doFilter has been called; if the headers haven't been set then something crashed in a bad way.

Question: Does there anything similiar (FM, class) exist for data transfer processes (DTP), where I can change the filter of a DTP dynamically?

U can select the filter conditions dynamically by writing a rouitne ...
Suppose there is one object called start date its techiacl name /bic/rt_strdt then u want to load data where the start date is between 20080101 and some time limits then u can write the routien like this
data: l_idx like sy-tabix.
          read table l_t_range with key
               fieldname = '/BIC/RT_SRTDT'.
          l_idx = sy-tabix.
        l_t_range-low = '20080101'.
        l_t_range-high = '20080430'.
        l_t_range-iobjnm = '/BIC/RT_SRTDT'.

Problems with ALE filters...

Hi I have a situation I need to send materials to a partner only the materials specific for a particular plant.The filter in the distribution model is based on E1MARCM-WERKS.
change pointers are enabled.When material is changed may be some other fields which are not relevant to plant data the idoc is created with message function '018'(resend) and the E1MARCM segment itself is missing.So the filters are not verified and the materials which belong to other plants are also sent to the partner...
How can this problem be rectified...?

I have an wague idea, can't we put a condition like if WERKS is not initial or if WERKS = 'your filter value'. If any of these case is correct, it will stop sending the idocs.

Urgent : Problem with Servlet Filters in Weblogic6.1

Hi,
We have developed an application using Tomcat4.1.24 with Weblogic6.1 Service Pack2.
Now we are removing the Tomcat and moving the web layer into weblogic. We have implemented Servlet Filters and Listeners.
When I converted .jar and .war files into .ear file and deployed into Weblogic6.1. But that application is not deploying. I found that Weblogic6.1 does not support Filters and Listeners from Servlet2.3.
When I tried to deploy in the Weblogic6.1, it is giving the error as " java.lang.reflect.UndeclaredThrowableException".
Could somebody please give me a solution how my filters and listeners can make working with weblogic6.1.
Is there any solution.. My application is successfully working with Weblogic8.1. But I want the solution in weblogic6.1. It would be great if somebody can give me solution how to make Filters n Listeners working with Weblogic6.1.

I have already done according to the process given in the url which u have given me.
set and getFilterConfig methods are implemented in my AuthenticationFilter class. But still I could not be able deploy the application and I am not able to get the ServletContext object from Session. When I tried commenting the Filters and Listeners in my web.xml file then my .ear file was successfully deployed but I could not get the ServletContext from Session.

Problem with Blur filters in effects browser

Has anyone had a problem with the blur filters? Whenever I try to skim or apply any blur effect it freezes the viewer. Other effects are fine. Other functions of FCPX still work ok. The audio is ok, skimming works etc but the viewer is frozen. FCP then hangs on shutdown and requires a force quit, but relaunches fine. I have trashed FCPX permissions, repaired permissions for the OS, repaired the HD and redownloaded the application all to no avail. I also have FCPX installed on another startup drive and it does the same thing there. My computer is an iMAC 27 inch I7 with 4 gigs of RAM runing 10.6.8. FCPX is version 10.0.3.
I did open a copy of the zoom blur effect in Motion and the only unusual thing I noticed was that there is a project loop end marker set at frame 1 of the project. Don't know if that is a factor. Any help greatly appreciated!

I am refering to any of the blur category filters in the effects browser. I think there are like 6 of them sharpen, gaussian, prism, radial, and zoom. What happens is if I select a clip then go to the effects browser and scroll over the filters I will initially see a preview as you are supposed to. But very quickly that stops and if I go back to the timeline the viewer is frozen showing the previously selected clip. All the rest of FCP works normally ie you can scroll the timeline, select clips, use the tools etc. Only the viewer is frozen. You have to force quit FCP and restart to get back to normal. None of the other effects in effects browser cause any problems.
I said in my first message all the things I have tried unsuccessfully. This one is a real puzzler for me.
