Problem Moving PhotoShop 7.0 from old windows Xp computer to new Windows 7 computer

I have been using Adobe Photo Shop 7.0 for several years on Windows XP a legally purchased copy as a download so no disc. I have transfered all the Adobe files over to the new Windows 7 computer. When I run the Photo Shop 7.0 program, it starts to load and the grey backround loads and then a pop up message " Couldn't complete request because of missing or invalid personalization information." And it will not allow me to go any further. I cannot afford a new version, retired and on fixed income. Can anyone help me make this work. I have my whole old hard drive copied to an external drive.

Jbargisen I am sorry but you will need the eligible full version serial number in order to install. If the serial number is registered then it should be available under your account at http://www.adobe.com/. If your copy of PS was for Win, your installation disk is not compatible with Mac. You can't use a Win serial number on Mac either. You would need to contact Adobe Customer Care and request a cross grade. Depending on which version you own, this may no longer be possible. I believe CS6 still qualifies for cross grades though.
Another option is to join the Creative Cloud Photography Plan ($9.99/mo) which includes PS CC and Lightroom which will run on on both Mac & Win.

properly install acrobat xi pro onto your new computer. installation files are linked below.
if you no longer need acrobat xi on your old computer, open it and click help>deactivate. then uninstall. make sure you have your serial number before doing this.

If you like to save one instance of the license then please do de-activate while uninstalling.
Or if you have already used your "Two" instances of installation then you must need to de-activate one of the machine while

The transfer was successful, however when I plug my 3rd gen Ipod Nano into the new PC, the Ipod icon appears along with the music, playlists, etc. The songs are shown but are 'grayed out' and wont play or sync.The 'Devices & Printers' window in new PC shows icon for Ipod driver & is OK. The icon for the Ipod appears but depicts a delta shaped warning icon that states that the Ipod is'not operating properly'. Tried troubleshooting. That "itunes file from the old PC"? Is that the iTunes folder, from the old PC, that was in the user home folder's Music folder?
All of the library, playlists, etc. from the ipod as they always have been are shown, by they are 'grayed out' and will not open or play.
That's on the iPod, correct? Are all of your old playlists in iTunes, from the old PC, still there in iTunes on the new PC? Are the songs in iTunes still playable?

There are many steps, but this is a summary. (1) On the old PC, consolidate all of your iTunes data into the iTunes folder. (2) Copy this iTunes folder to the external drive. (3) On the new PC (that has iTunes installed but NOT running), replace its existing iTunes folder with the one from the old PC (on the external drive). When you run iTunes, it uses the iTunes folder from the old PC, and it should look like iTunes on the old PC (with all the playlists, ratings, play count, etc.), and your iPod will see the iTunes library as the same iTunes library (because it is the same library).
If you did something different, and the old PC is still accessible, you may want to try it using the method from the linked document.

I tried backup & restore without success. I have also found the .psess files and copied them to the catalog in the new computer but when the sides shows are opened none of the images or music is there. Only the text that I entered shows. I have even tried to replicate the file paths from the XP computer to the new computer to see if that will help.

UPDATE: By a stroke of luck I happened to find a catalog link (a PSE8D file) in the 'My Catalog' file where the imported data was stored. When I clicked on it to investigate what is was 'magically' all of my transferred projects appeared in Organizer. Upon further investigation I found that the projects transferred from my XP computer were stored in a hidden catalog that had to be accessed through the Custom Location option in Catalog Manager (accessed by clicking File then Catalog then Custom Location). No Windows or Elements search revealed this fact. I am appreciative that I just got lucky. The Adode/Photoshop company was absolutely of no help. If fact to me their structure is designed to avoid contact with their customers unless you're buying a new product. Their products have many good features (even though user unfriendly) and it's a shame they don't value their customers more once the sale is completed.
Bottom line: All of the projects (sideshows) have been recovered and work in my new Windows 7 computer. I hope my experience helps others.

I like to group tabs on a topic in a window, and when the tabs get to be too many, or a new topic, I do FILE->NEW-WINDOW and expect a new window with just one default (Home) tab. Instead I get a new window with ALL the tabs of the first window.
I have checked all the Options I could find. Nothing helped. I CAN make a new Window with just one tab if I right-click a link and say "Open in NEW Window".

A new window should only open with the home page(s).<br />
If you see differently then you need to check your extensions.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

First, iCloud: How to back up iCloud data.
Next, use iCal>File>Export>Export...for the calendar that you want to use for the export. Move the .ics file to your new computer, and double click the file. You will be offered a choice of creating a new calendar in iCloud, or importing to an existing calendar. Make the appropriate choice for your circumstances.
