Make sure that the back cover is seated correctly before taking the phone back. There have been a number of people complaining of a similar problem and refitting the rear cover seems to have solved the issue for them.

Problem with internet in Lumia 520

I bought my Lumia 520 few days back. I use wifi connection of BSNL BB. It was working fine these days. But now what ever the address i type in IE it opens the webpage "Georgia Pacific" and none other apps installed could use the internet. please help me to solve this issue. I have attached the screenshot.

Thank you for the information you have provided. You may also try checking if all the system apps are updated. Store>...>settings>check for updates. Try rebooting it by pressing and holding the power and the volume down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds.

Lumia 520 touch problem

i bought my 520 2 months ago, now it has auto touch...........
some times touch is working on its own, but some times it work smoothly......
tried the software change but still its there, is there any solution for this.........?

I've occured a strange problem. I tried googling for similiar problems & solutions, but came out empty handed.
Perhaps I haven't tried using the correct keywords yet, so I appologize if this problem has occured before and there already is a topic on it.
PROBLEM:
When typing with Lumia 520 normally (holding the phone vertically) it works perfectly. Flawless.
When I go into landscape mode (for faster typing), some bugs occur. The keys on far left, and right work good. When I try to type:
'f'' or 'r' or 'x' it comes out as ',' (comma)
'd' or 'e' or 'z' it goes to emotes
It's very annoying, because typing in vertical mode is much slower.
Not sure if related, but sometimes when it asks my permisson for something (slides down from top), asking something with 2 boxes "Allow" and "Deny"... Then when I press on "Allow", nothing happens.. But if I press "Deny" then "Allow" lights up and goes by that command. Not a big problem, because I can push Deny to Allow and to Deny I just hit the Back button.
I have Cyan update. I've tried soft reset and replacing my languages, but no change.
Changing the touchscreen sesnitivity from strong to average also had no effect.

It's a good phone if you take care of it okay. Hasn't failed me yet.

So I figured out, that a small part of the touchscreen does not work properly or works poorly. (Like when I 'Accept' it registers 'Deny' instead.
My warrant is void. So what could be the logical technical difficulty, that I'm facing? Replacing the touchscreen? Checking some kind of contacts?
EDIT: Added a picture of the 'bad' areas. When pressing around the red area, then pink area works. Same with blue. All else works perfectly fine. I'm sad and confused - why only THAT AREA?

Touching the colored area activates the circled area!

Lumia 520 music player gets stopped with headphone...

Hi folks
I have a problem with my nokia lumia 520. When I am playing music with my headphones the music gets paused. It has been happening for the last week. It works fine on speakers but not with headphones. I have tried several headphones, did a soft-reset, uninstalled nokia music, but nothing is working so far. Phone wasn´t crashed or dropped to the floor, it is happening for no apparent reason. Any ideas?

Hi, Sedejaballevar. What's the model of your headphone & the other headphones you've tested with your Lumia 520? Does the issue happen when transitioning from one song to another or randomly during a song? Are your songs from your phone memory, memory card, offline mix or through online source (online mix)? Keep us posted.

Lumia 520 Games situation

I really need some help and i don't know who or where to ask im new to the site .... here's my problem i bought nokia lumia 520 today and used it i also went to the windows store and downloaded a lot of app then went to the store once more to download games and i get only one game called "deep sea trader" in front swipe right i get this genres list and when i touch any option on that genres list i get no results and swipe right to top free i get no results and same with the rest .. so i went to the app social and swiped left to top charts and selected games then free i get a list full of great games but when i touch on any of the games i get "There has been a problem completing your request. Try again later. Error code:805a0194
please help!

hi mate, strange indeed. have u checked you are up to date with the latest firmware along with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also try performing a soft reset, then trying again in a few hours. also check ur Microsoft account is functioning correctly.

Updating Nokia Lumia 520.

I tried updating my Lumia 520 yesterday night.
The download was completed and then I set it install updates, post which I went to sleep.
On waking up today morning, I found that my phone is near bricked.
All I can see is the gears turning symbol which I presume they have added to show update process.
Phone is not starting now.
The process has been on for a few hours now.
Any ideas???

I had same problem with mine as its a contract i get all you can eat data.......but it needed wi fi connection to download it, and as i have not got tethering agreement it would warn me when trying to use mobile internet sharing.....a week later i was traveling to my sons i used free wi fi on bus....it took the 4 hour journey and another 5 using sons wi fi . I found patience is needed and giving in and resetting it because it appeared to have froze on cogs and gears In my case it paid off and no problems ever with my lumia 520 apart from apps that require wi fi connection.

Mobile network problem in my lumia 520

Once network gone, I have to Restart it then again mobile network come.calling proble occurs many times even network is dispayed. Network problem sshould be rectify.

Do you experience the network issue regardless of your area? Aside from calling, are the other network services working fine like SMS messaging and mobile data connection? Is this for a Lumia 520 as well? If so, I hope you're using a standard microSIM and not a cut one as this is what the phone is designed to use.
BTW, the reset that the Nokia Care Center recommended is the one under Settings > about, is that right? After the reset, have you checked if the system apps are updated? Go to Settings > swipe to applications > store > check for updates.

Nokia lumia 520 push notification problem with wha...

I have a Lumia 520, and i find that i do not receive push notifications for my whatsapp messages. I have to open the application before the messages come through. I would like to know how to correct this. I have checked all my settings.

On a HTC-forum I saw the next solution, and it works also for Nokia Lumia! That means it is a Microsoft Issue!
1) Unpin Windows store from start
2) ERASE Internet Explorer History
3) ADD new language to the keyboard (Settings-->keyboard-->add keyboards
(CHOOSE A LANGUAGE THAT REQUIRE DOWNLOAD)
4) When downloading is finished, it will ask to restart and install
5) After installation and restart do the following;
A) UNINSTALL WHATSAPP
B) REINSTALL WHATSAPP (you can get conversation history back when asked, so no problem)
After this the push function works, but there is still a delay up to 10 minutes! So when you test, be patient.
NO BETTER PRESSURE MEDIUM THAN ANTI ADVERTISING SO AFTER THIS EXPEDITION PLEASE CHANGE YOUR STATUS TEXT TO:
USING WINDOWS; THAT MEANS DELAY UP TO 10 MINUTES
When all Window Phone users display that message, Microsoft has to come with a final solution!

Speaker problem after an update to windows 8.1 on Nokia lumia 520

After an update to 8.1 my windows phone nokia lumia 520 has encountered a problem with the speaker. I am uable to play any music neither am i able to hear any ringtone of any kind. The phone had no problem till an automatic update took place when i got connected
to an internet acces.
Can anyone let me know if this is an issue of an update or malfunctioning of the speaker without any reason.

As you tried already a reset, did you consider the Nokia Software Recovery Tool on a Windows computer as well?

Nokia Lumia 520 problem with internet

Hey
My girlfriend bought today a nokia lumia 520 from an internet shop.
Now she is installing it and it seems to have a problem.
So our netwerk is 'telenet' where we have an abo wich include 1gb internet.
She installed everything like it has to, APN and stuff all ok.
Now she cannot connect to the 3 or 2g netwerk on her phone, it keeps saying we have to put 'roaming' on.
If we do this, the internet goes, but i dont think that is how its supposed, maybe she will have to pay a lot if she does roaming. While we actually dont need it.
Can you help us with this problem?

Problems after amber update in my lumia 520

I have updated my lumia 520. After it there is regular fluctuation in my internet connection even my data setting is on and battery is also discharging quickly after update.

have you checked that you are up to date with all the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also try performing a soft reset, and check your Network+ and Access Point settings in the Settings.
