Problem of dislplay in BEx

Hello BWers,
I created a query based on a multicube which joins two infocubes.
These two infocubes have got the fields, the same records, all is the same except the characteristic Z_HIS (char 6).
In the first infocube Z_HIS = '000000' for all records.
In the second one Z_HIS = '200712' for all records (but it could be equal to 200801, 200802, ... except 000000)
In the multicube, all characteristics and key figures are boxed and are considered coming from the two infocubes.
When i'm looking records in the multicube in BW, records are good.
For example :
id - infoprovider - z_his -- field1- field2.....
i1 -C1 - 000000 - A - xq ........
i1 -C2 - 2000712 - A - xq .........
But when i'm looking records in my simple query, z_his is equal to '200712' for all records (for C1 and C2).
I hope you could tell me how to resolve this problem and have in the query for one record two lines with one with the field z_his = 2000712 for infoprovider C2 and the other one with z_his = 000000.

I had to put a constant or a valur in the field of the infocube C1.
So fictive value is good reported in the query for C1, and 200712 is present for C2.

Problem of hierarchy in bex analyzer

Dear all,
I met a problem when I using Bex analyzer to run a query, there is a characteristic 0CS_PLEVEL (posting level) with a hierarchy. If the characteristic is displayed in the row or column, i can filter with the hierarchy node, everything seems to be fine. But if the 0CS_PLEVEL is set to be a free characteristic in the query, when I filter with hierarchy text node (not leaves), then there will be wrong message about 'No applicable data found', but if I add drill down according to Posting Level in rows, it indeed has data value.
And I tried filtering value with same hierarchy node with other query which is built based on Multiprovider, everything is fine.
I wonder if there is any speciall setting for filtering by hierarchy node in the query based on virtualprovider 0BCS_VC11?

In the Exception definition,Make sure you have selected following :
In Display tab -> Select Exception affects data cells
in cell restrictions tab -> Exception affects everything
After that,once you execute the query,Exceptions should be shown on all levels.

Firefox doesn't open, error message says Problem Event Name is BEX

Firfox would not open after previously working. After uninstalling and reinstalling, it worked when I launched it from the install, however it will not open any time after that, saying Firefox has stopped working. The Problem Event Name is BEX.

Problems about query filter (BEx).

Hello there,
I have some problems about query filter (BEx).
I have master data and I want to use attribute in this master data to dynamic filter in query(BEx).
But this attribute is key figure. I can't done it now. TT
Is this possible? If yes, could anyone advise how this is to be done?

Hi
In BEx there is option as 'Exceptions' & 'Conditions'. If you go in condition, you can specify range for key figure output. This is either predefined or by user selection. You create the condition as per your requirement & it will show you filtered data.
How to create conditions you will find easily on this site.
You can create as many conditions as no of filters you want. You can create these at query level also at report output level.

I am facing Problem with my Bi Bex Analyzer 7.10 .

I am facing Problem with my Bi Bex Analyzer 7.10 .
I have Windows 7 with Office 2007 insatlled on my Machine and SAP GUI 7.10 with patch 11.
When i Open the Bex Analyzer and click on OPEN Query, it shows me the German Laguage istead of English ( Open Query )
and the Open query Icon is not responding
Hence my Bex Analayzer is not working .
Is there any MS Office 2007 Patch that i have to istalled on the The Machine .
Please advice.

Hi Nilesh,
To see the text in English,you have to login to backend with Language as "EN" in the Logon Screen.
To make the icons work in Analysis and Design Toolbar,you can install in KB from Microsoft.

Close Analyzer,install this KB and then Launch Analyzer.
This will solve your issue.

Problem with '-' (dash) in BEx web analyzer

Hi All,
we are having a strange problem with 0BPartner and 0Material. Our BPartner and Material have '-'(dash) sign as part of key. While selecting this BPartner/Material in Bex Analyzer, we do not have any problem, but when we try to select the same Bpartner/Material in BEx Web Analyzer, it puts an escape char in from of the dash. For eg:
If i select the Bpartner "1234-5467" then in Web Analyzer selection box, it is displayed as "1234\-5467" in the selection screen.
If i do a search on 1234-5467, it returns zero value.But if i do a search on 1234\-5467, then i get the search hit.
If i enter the Bpartner in the selection window directly and If i do not put the escape char, then it considers the input as range 1234 - 5467 and returns me no value in the report output.
Has anyone had this type of issue? Please respond.

Sorry if you had misunderstood my question. They are 2 different Info objects. and i am having problem searching values in each one of these info objects.
Let me explain it with an example.
Scenario:
Let say company defines material in the following format.
"123", "456", "788", "345"....etc.
And I have a report which has material as input selection.
To run this report with single material i enter "123" in the selection screen
To run this report with a range of materials, I need to enter 123 - 456 in the selection.
I have no Issues
Scenario 2.
Consider a case if the materials are defined in SAP as "001-1234", "987-234"
"123-234" etc.
In this scenario, to run the same report for 1 material, i will enter 001-1234. But now the question is how will BW system interpret this material entry.
Is this 1 single material(001-1234) or a material range (001 - 1234)??
We have issue here. The system considers this material "001-1234" as a range (001 to 1234) instead of single material and gives me zero output.
Any help??

Problem while saving the BEx qeueries

Hi,
I am facing a strange problem.
I am trying to copy the old query to a new query. Now when i just change/try to copy by using save as function in query designer the following problem occurs
1. An unexpected object variable or with block variable not setu2019 error occurred in wdrblog error(s) are logged.
I am using BEx 3.5 patch 11.
Note: I checked the relevant error message in Service marketplace but they are asking us to go thorugh the OSS note 571831,575434. But in these mentioned notes the patch level & Version are lower than what we have.
Waht might the problem. any clues would be great & appreciated

I didn't come across this type of problem before, just try to copy the query by using t-code 'RSZC'. Check the query whether everything is correct.

Problem reg variables in BEX

Hi Gurus,
I am doing sales trend reporting in bex....I have 4 key figures which all gives sales Amt created using some variables.
my Selection creteria is calmonth/Yr
Key fig 1 - should show the sales of selected month
Key fig2 - should show the sales of selected month for prev yr
Key fig3 -should show the sales of starting of yr to selected month
Key fig4 - should show the sales of starting of yr to selected month for prev yr...
Every thin is fine...but my problem is when i give the current month how can i show my sales ?
ie (1) Selection month = September 2007 ( which only a portion completed)
Current month:   data from 9/1/2007 thru 9/26/2007 (i.e., all the data we currently have for September)
Same month prior year:   data from 9/1/2006 thru 9/30/2006 (i.e., the data for the full month of 9/2006)
Current YTD:   data from 1/1/2007 thru 9/26/2007
Prior YTD:   data from 1/1/2006 thru 9/30/2006
Please give me ur suggestion how to create the variables for the KF 1 and KF3 ?

firstly can you please confirm if your input variable is Day interval or Month interval.
ok if it is all up to ur requirement. please create a variable on cal month to show current month or use one of the standard once.
restrict it with your KF to get your KF1.
Create a new RKF and in this use cal month variable used earlier and give a offset value 0f -12 and this gives you you KF3
please find this code for month variable it might help.

Input control -Check Box Problem in webi4 over Bex query

Hi All
i am in webi4 over bex query
my customer requirement is to have the option to select multiple values from object (e.g Document class) with out the need of presenting the field(e.g document class) in the report
when I use the input control check box or list box i have the following problem
if I select from the input control all values I see the report ok
if I select 2 values from the list I receive #UNAVAILABLE , but if i add the field to the report ( the document class) it works fine.
the problem is that if I don't have the field in the report i get the #UNAVAILABLE
any assistance is appreciated

Crystal Reports - Problem with too long BEx Query technical variable names?

I have Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 and the SAP BO Integration Kit XI 3.1 SP3 installed and want to access a BEx query on a BW system within my Crystal Report.
The problem is that the name of the BEx variable is not displayed correctly (just "[]" is displayed for the variable name) as a parameter within Crystal Reports when I import the query. Furthermore I can't navigate through the fields of the query within Crystal Reports.
The technical names of the BEx query-variables have a length of 12 characters.
The interessting thing is that if I change the technical names of the BEx query variables to a maximum length of 8 characters everything works fine.
I use the SAP toolbar within Crystal Reports 2008 to create the report and have the "MDX-driver"-setting selected.
Has anyone ever had the same problem? Any suggestions?
I don't want to change the technical names of the variables of my queries...

Problem with totals in Bex

Hi friends!
My cube has the char DATE_FIN related to the doc_number.
My query should show the difference in days between DATE_FIN and the Bex variable DATE_COMPARE (constant value).
This works ok when I show data with doc_number detail , ie:
Oficce    Doc_number          date_fin        date_compare         diff
A          1000               10/12/2010     12/12/2010           2
A          1001               09/12/2010     12/12/2010           3
B          1002               08/12/2010     12/12/2010           4
But I need suppress the doc_number char, and have total by Office, ie:
Oficce date_fin    date_compare         diff
A     10/12/2010     12/12/2010           5
B     08/12/2010     12/12/2010           4
The issue is that when I do it, the report show me u2018Xu2019 in the diff column
How can I solve this?

Try differents aggregations, all based on infoobject doc_number.
In your formala, in aggregation tab; set aggregation exception (exemple: Total).
This should work.

Problem with sap logon/bex

Hello Peoples,
I have a machine is the same with Windows Vista Home Premium, sap logon 7.10 - patch 11
Access to the SAP system is perfect, but when I try to open the Bex query designer after informing username and password I get the error of communication rfc.
Can you please tell me know how can I fix this error? or if Bex is compatible with Vista Home Premium?

Yes,BEx is compatible with Vista Home Premium Edition.
You will get an RFC Communication Error,if the backend system is down or if you enter the language as blank(sometimes) in the SAP Logon.
Try opening other tools like WAD,RD and Analyzer and connect with backend and check whether it works or not.Try opening QD from WAD or Analyzer
This is not tool specific anyway.

Problem in Hierarchy in BEX Query

Hi ALL,
I have created Query for balance statements & Profit ,Loss statement by using hierarchy. It is execuiting in perfectly.But the problem is "I want in the query output hierarchy with only 1 node that is Profit/loss node."
I have done restriction on that node only. But I am not getting the output for that node.
If I add one more node for Profit/loss node it is showing data.
my question is If I restrict only one node why it is not working?
please give me suggestions on this. we need only one node in the output Hierarchy.

 |--->Profit/loss node->caliculated Profit
 |------>Income
 |------->expendature
 |------->Un assained Node.
1. I have not used any Structure .
2. I have placed my Hiearachy in ROWS and I ahve restricted only Profit/Loss Node.
( But If I select only 1 node in Restriction data is not getting in query)
IF I select "profit/loss node " & some other node in Restriction data is coming in the output of Query.
What is the reason for this.
whatt I have to do to get only 1 node in the output with values.

Problem with keyfigure in Bex

Hi all,
i have two charactristics location and product in the rows and keyfigures,stock on hand ,inventory carrying costs in the rows.In the coulmns i have calweek.For stock on hand keyfigure i had applied the cumulative property so that it shows the net stock on hand for every week, the inventory carrying cost is a calculated keyfigure and it is calculted using stock on hand and a formula variable based on master data 0APO_LPROD(LOCATIONPRODUCT).
In the report the inventory carrying cost is getting calculated after calculating the stock on hand for all the calweeks which shouldnt happen.The inventory carring cost should get calculated for every week separately. So can anyone of you suggest why this is happening and how to solve this.

Now ur Inv cc is having Stock value for every week as
10 + 15 + 30. = 55
Correct me if i am wrong.
As per your query structure this thing should not happen.
First of all please update about the stock value that ur getting for every week is correct or not ??
