Problem of Initialization of MXI-3 card

Hello,
I try to initialize my PXI-1002 chassis, with a PCI-MXI-3 in my computer. But it doesn't work.
My configuration :
-PXI-1002 Chassis
-NI PXI MXI-3 8330 and NI PCI MXI-3 8330
-Win 2000 Pro
-Dell GX260
-MXI-3 Soft ver 1.1 (I also tried with the ver 1.15)
-PXI Chassis Initialization 1.0
-NI MAX 3.01
My procedure of installation :
-1 Installation of NI MAX
-2 Installation of MXI-3 Soft ver 1.1 (and reset of computer)
-3 Installation of NI PCI MXI-3 8330 linked to NI PXI MXI-3 8330 in the PXI-1002 Chassis
-4 Turn on PXI Chassis
-5 Turn on Computer
-6 Dialog Box :" A MXI 3 was not detected in your system. Please verify power and link status..."
The LED (Power and Link) of PXI and PCI 8330 MXI 3 are good (green state).
MAX don't "see" any PXI chassis.
My computer don't "see" the PCI 8330 MXI 3 card. That's why I can't communicate with the chassis.
If you have any idea...
PS : I don't have another chassis or card to test my current hardware.

Hello Breizh,
Apparently you did the installation correcty.
One question, wich resources do you have in your PXI chassis (DAQ board,...).
Is your version of Windows 2000 OS is out of date, if not, please update your system. I will recommend service pack 4.
Most of the time PCI-PCI brige problems are due to BIOS system.
Could you check on the DELL website if your BIOS is up to date. If not download the latest version of the BIOS.
Please let me know if theses recommandations helps you solve your problem or not.

  • Problems with my pci-mxi-2 card and MAX

    I have plugged-in a pci-mxi-2 card in my computer.
After install NI-VISA, NI-VXI, MAX, ..., Windows says that the pci-mxi-2
    card
is working but I can't view this card with MAX and I hava an error when I
    try
to use resman. With MAX I can only see: "VXI system 0 (Unknown)" in
    "Devices
    and Interfaces"
    Thanks

    Hello,
Installing NI-VXI 3.3.1 should be enough. Try to launch Resman just with the VXI-MXI-2 inserted in the chassis without any other VXI modules.
If you continue having errors when running Resman, try to attach a screenshot of the error.

I have a problem with Imac mid 2010 graphics card (ATI Radeon 5670 512MB). When I play video formats like xvid, mkv, avi iMac freezes and emits horrible sound,in service said the problem is not overheating. Not a problem with memory or hard disk because I placed second correct parts. The same problem is with OSX 10.6.8 and 10.8.4 and other players.Apple hardware test found no problem and tech tool pro found no fault.
After five days of testing in the service they can not  found fault and it was decided to change the graphics card.
New graphics have been tested for two days but it is not reproduced divx ... but their test software which did not find any fault on the old graphics...
Do I have the right to complain if repair does not fix the problem because I use non apple softwere and video formats.

You could look at the System Profile for the info it presents for the card.  But why wouldn't you think it's not up to date if you have the latest install (according to your sig above)?
What program are you trying to run?  Is there anything in the system log?
I think it's the program that's having the problem and not anything with your video software.

Hello, how are you? On September 13 I bought an iPad and in October bought a game on the app store problem is that when informed the card number dropped normally, but then went on to ask for a new form of payment because one had given any errors, and so not lowered any other game and not upgraded the already downloaded. I do not know what exactly I have to do, because if informed a new payment method continues with the same problem, checked the card bill and really had given an error, because there was no billed the game. I ask you to verify what happened and explain to me what I need to do, because my single card is Visa's and do not intend to return others to use the services of the App Store.
    Thank you for understanding.

I think you need the app store support. http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/ Go there and use one of the methods to contact them about your issue and they should be able to help you out.

  • Problem with initialization Delta queue

    Hi Gurus,
I have problem with initialization of delta queue when I try load transaction data from R3 (FM) to BI.
Error message: Deviation of (64 seconds) between qRFC counter (000012365466830000080000) and actual time (08.03.2009 21:10:19).
I have no idea where is the problem because this problem occurs only in PRD systems. In DEV and QUA system everything is OK.
    System BI: BI 7.0
    Source system: ECC 6.0
    Thank you for all answers!
    mp

    Hi,
Replicate the DS in BW Prod and then Activate Transfer rules and then try.
First you delete the DElta quae in RSA7 for the particular datasource in the R/3
source system then you try to intialize, here you are trying to intialize datasource with
same selection conditons . thats why it is giving shortdump
    Check

    Hi Roger
    Thank you for your reply.
    My original feed is: http://casa-egypt.com/feed/
However, because I modified the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast and nothing changed, I redirected it to another feed and then I deleted this feed.
Is there any way to change the feed in itunes? The only feed I have now is  http://feeds.feedburner.com/CasaEgyptStation
I tried to restore the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast but feedburner refused.
I know that I missed things up but I still have hope in working things out.
    Thanks is advance.

  • Problem to initialize delta queue of datasource from CRM 7.0.

    Hi all,
I've some problem to initialize delta queue of datasource from CRM 7.0.  After initialize the Init in BW, the delta queue was created but after the user changed data, this changed didn't populated into delta queue.
I tried the steps below  but without any success. Anybody know how can I correct this issue?
Suggestion 3: Please check the following.
Please Check if the services have been generated in transaction GNRWB.
If they are not active(not marked 'X' before their names) then activate
the services following the steps here.
    Go to transaction GNRWB
    Select BUS_TRANS_MSG
Select (on the right, the services) : BWA_DELTA3, BWA_FILL, BWA_queue
    Press Generate.
    Also check for the following:
    1. The delta should have been initialized successfully.
    2. Confirm that all Bdocs of type BUS_TRANS_MSG
are processed with success in SMW01.
    3. If there are queues in SMQ1 with erroneous status then activate
    these queues.
In Transaction SMQ1 if there are Queues existing with
names beginning with CRM_BWAn (n is number) then
activate these queues in the same transaction.
    4.a)If required activate the datasource
Go to transaction BWA5 > select the required datasource and
    activate.
4 b) The Delta may not be active ,activate the delta in BWA7 by
selecting the name of the datsource and pressing the candle icon for
    'activate delta'.
    5. In BW system
Go to transaction RSA1 > modeling > infosources > select the
infosource > right mouse click on the selected
infosource > choose option replicate datasource
    Activate the infosource.
    6. Go to the scheduler for the infosource > select delta in the
update >choose the option PSA only (in the Processing tab)

    Hi Peter,
    Thank you for your answer.
But we need to find out what the reason for this import error is.
Our customer will not be very pleased to see that all IDocs from CRM system cannot be found in the IDOC folder.
IDX2 import of metadata is no issue.
We were successful for standard and customer Idocs here.
    Additional information:
We are already importing Idocs from a SAP ECC 6.0 system into PI in another SWCV
successfully. So this is a CRM system specific issue in our environment.

  • How to send message/traffic accross VME bus from NI's VME MXI-2 card So I can monitor messages via vmetro card?

    Hi,
How to send message/traffic accross VME bus backplane from NI's VME MXI-2 card?
So that I can monitor messages via vmetro card/BusView?
    Thanks
    DBhagat

    Hi Dbhagat,
The VME-MXI-2 card is a type of VME controller, which is used in conjunction with a PCI-MXI-2 card that will be in an external computer. This computer is then able to send and receive messages to other devices on the VME bus, as well as monitor the information on the bus.
    Hope this helps!

  • MXI-4 card crashing XP system when connected to 1045 chassi.

The mxi-4 card is connected to the 8331 card in a 1045 chassi.

    Hi Sean,
Have you tried this card in another PC? Also does the system crash with the card in, but while it is not connected to the MXI-4 that is in the chassis? What other devices do you have in the PXI-1045? Please provide me with a detailed descriton of your hardware set-up as well as the error you are seeing when you boot up your PC. For instance what does it say on the screen, when does the system crash, etc. One thing you might be aware of, but make sure the chassis is powered on prior to booting up your PC.

  • [ PROBLEM ] Audio Control app wont recognise card properly

    Hi
I have a X-Fi ExtremeGamer card in my Win 7 home premium setup and am struggling to set it up properly.
Long story short , I pulled out the X-Fi card and tried the onboard audio as I was getting an issue with the audio playing around using the creative drivers ( volume changes mid song, positional audio in games was often unusal ).
The Realtek stuff wasnt too bad but I wanted to try my X-Fi card again, it is suppose to be better after all.
    Anyways...
I disabled the onboard audio , safe mode and cleaned all the realtek drivers out and any lingering creative drivers with Driver Sweeper, used CCleaner to clean up the reg and rebooted.
Installed the BETA drivers from creative and the audio works fine, but when I try use the crystaliser or other SB features the app complains
" The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit. "
I installed Daniel_K's drivers from a CD ISO he put out a while back, and the applications worked fine but the audio dropped in and out, so I downloaded the official creative drivers for my card and OS, and the application worked fine again but as with Daniels drivers the audio dropped in and out so I reverted to the beta drivers... and the audio dropped in and out as well.
I worked it out to being the volume controls on the creative 5. speakers , which every set of speakers I have bought from creative have had the same issue, the volume slider on the cable... after some use it messes up the audio and it becomes safer just to adjust the volume in the software.
After deciding the issue was with the volume slider on the cable, I wanted to re-install Daniel_K's driver pack so I could access the other features, now it suddenly doesnt recognise the device anymore, nore does the official none beta drivers from creative, nor does the latest PAX drivers ... all report the same issue:
" The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit. "?
I am starting to tear my hair out here, the audio works and the card is recognised in the Device Manager as 'Creative SB X-Fi' , I have clean the drivers , the registery , used the patch that fixes a bug where the update wouldnt recognise cards properly , re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re installed the drivers.... carefully EACH time.
I triple checked I was downloading the Win 7 64bit OS ver of the X-Fi ExtremeGamer drivers.
    What now ?
ALSO Who thought it was a bright idea to put up the volume to 87% when you install drivers ? It also unmutes the volume if you mute it before restart, and it puts the volume back up to 87% if you dare to lower the volume before rebooting the PC to complete the install.
( NOTE: It only does this after the initial reboot to complete the install, subsequent re-boots leaves the volume alone )

    I give up...
I sent a form to the tech guys , detailing the problem and outlining the steps I took to fix the issue...and they direct me to http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowA...aspx?sid=55438?, oh I can use Device Manager to uninstall , oh and Control Panel - Programs to unistall the Creative stuff ( note: I am being very sarcastic here ).
This is the information I sent the tech:
    Detailed Problem Description:
Creative audio application does not recognise SB X-Fi card , card audio functions just cant control the feature set. Error msg : " The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit. " Suspect nVidia installing of HD audio drivers causing 4 (four) additional High Definition Audio Devices to appear in the device manager screen. Unable to uninstall these devices as Win7 auto re-reinstalls with generic MS drivers, can only disable. Creative SB X-Fi card listed in audio devices as 2 - SB X-Fi. Suspect the audio control application looks in the first slot and doesnt recognise the device and fails, doesnt look at the 2 ( second slot ? ) Tried a full uninstall including going to safe mode and removing drivers with Driver Sweeper, CCLeaner to clear out registry entries and removed the card, booted to windows without the card , re-seated the card and re-installed the drivers. Forum entry for this problem at: http://forums.creative.com/t5/Sound-Blaster/PROBLEM-Audio-Control-app-wont-recognise-card-properly/td-p/57930
    Thank you
and this is the advice I got ...
Thank you for contacting Creative Labs.
To avoid installing the incorrect driver on your soundcard, we suggest that you do a full uninstallation using the guidelines, steps provided in our website. Shutdown your PC then take out the card and make sure to place it on another slot. Second, disable your onboard audio and if your graphic card comes with any audio support as well, disable this feature.

  • [SOLVED] Graphics problem in laptop with dual NVIDIA cards

I'm trying to install Arch on an Lenovo IdeaPad Y510. The laptop have 2 NVIDIA GT755M.
The second graphics card is removable. If I remove that card I can see with lspci that there also is a intel graphics chip. If the second card is mounted lspci only shows me one GT 755m.
The problem is that I cannot start X. I have installed gdm and gnome and when booted normally the screen goes blank and the cpu-fan speeds up and after a while the computer reboots.
This is the log for that boot:

I've tried without a xorg.conf and with one generated by nvidia-xconfig but they give the same result.
Where do I find the README mentioned in the log?
Anyone knows what the problem is?
I tried Ubuntu before installing Arch and that worked (with NVIDIA drivers version 331) so it should be possible to get this machine working.
    Any help is appreciated!

I've given up on the nvidia-drivers and try with nouveau-driver. Still no success.
Screen is black at bootup. I can, however, login and type reboot and the computer reboots (although I cant see anything).
If I add nomodeset to bootline I can see the login-prompt and login, if I then run startx I get the following in /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
    [drm] KMS not enabled
This link https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ke … de_setting  does not help very much, I've tried the "Early KMS start" thing but I still have the same problem.
If I have gdm enabled with
    systemctl enable gdm.service
and boot the computer the screen is blank. If I login with ssh I can see that gdm is started.
Journalctl -b -0 from the ssh-session gives this:
    [bjorn@arch ~]$ journalctl -b -0

  • MITE initialization of the 660x card

The 6602 and 6608 cards require a slightly different initialization of the
PCI interface (MITE chip) on the card than other NI cards such as the E
series MIO. With this updated initialization of the MITE, there is no
problem addressing the second TIO chip (TIO1) on the card.
The E series cards include the following initialization of the MITE:
//Tell the MITE to enable BAR1, where the rest of the board's registers
    are
    Bar0.write32(0xC0, (physicalBar1 & 0xffffff00L) | 0x80);
For the 660x this should be replaced with the following code:
    // ***** 6602/6608 specific MITE initialization *****
// Hit the IO Window Base/Size Register 1 (IOWBSR1) in the MITE. We set
    the
// address, enable the window and set t
    he size of the window:
    Bar0.write32(0xC4, (physicalBar1 & 0xffffff00L) | 0x8C);
// Write to the IO Window Control Register 1 (IOWCR1) to make the IO
    window
// go to RAM memory space instead of the config space
    Bar0.write32(0xF4, 0);
physicalBar1 is the physical address of BAR1on the card which is the base
    address of the TIO0.
Bar0.write32 writes to the given offset from BAR0 which is the MITE chip on
    the board.

The information about the MITE initialization above supercedes the information in the April 2002 (or earlier) edition of the 660x register level programming manual. The manual is in the process of being updated and will be posted soon.
