Problem of my iPod with speaker/charger

I have bought a new charger and a pair of new speakers. I plug the charger to my iPod, it can charge my iPod. But when I want to play with the games in my iPod when charging, the monitor of the iPod doesn't work!! This problem also occurs when I plug the iPod to the speakers. After I unplugged the charger/speakers, it becomes normal again. Is it the problem with my charger/speakers, or the iPod? Plz help me! =]

Does the manufacturer say the accessary is compatible with the iPod touch y have (model and iOS)? Have you checked the manufacturer's support website?

Hi, I have a problem on the ipod with this file "metadata_never_index". My PC doesn't recognise it. I need the program Apple Spotlight but I can't download it as well. Why? Any solution?

I am not doing it in ITunes, but i did down load the song from ITunes.  I loaded the song on to my Nano, but in my menu selections it doesn't show the song or the artist in any search format.  However, when i plug in my nano to my PC I see the Nano library on my PC drive listings and that song and artist are there.  I can click on the song and it will play in Windows media on my work PC.  I did notice that the format for most all the songs in my library on my Nano are MPEG - 4 audio Files.
    Thanks for your help, Mel

  • Will Apple replace an iPod with broken charging port

My daughter has had her iPod for a year will Apple Repair or replace an iPod with broken charging port.

If still under warranty, Apple frequently says the damage is caused by operator error and would only be covered by an Applecare+ extended warranty.
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs They do not fix yours.

Before backing up my old iphone4 I traded it in for an iphone5. All of the apps I purchased had no problem downloading to my new phone from itunes with no charge, but I can't download music that I have already paid for that was not backed up w/out paying again. How can I get these songs to my new phone without having to buy them again?

Whether you can re-download music depends upon what country that you are in (and whether it remains in the store). If you don't have a Music section in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone for re-downloading it, then do you not have you library on your computer's iTunes or on your backup of your downloads ? If not then you could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download

  • HT1726 Charging iPod with mains charger or dock

When Charging an iPod Classic using a mains charger or an iPod dock (on a CD midi-system), do you simply remove the iPod when it's finished or is there a safe ejecting procedure like there is when charging from your computer?
I am being cautious as my last iPod stopped working when I removed it from the computer before it'd finished ejecting. Strictly speaking the iPod screen DID already say it was safe to eject (otherwise I'd not have removed it), but the line hadn't finished going across the iPod screen.
    Thank You!

Yes it is fine to use that. See Using iPad power adapters with your iPhone, iPad, and iPod - Apple Support

  • Fried My iPod with Auto Charger

    Hey,
My car charger actually sparked at the bottom port of the iPod, and left smoky residue there (probably fried some connectors and circuits - there was actually a smoky smell). It immediately made my iTrip inoperable. Now I bought a new iTrip, but it won't work. Headphones will work on it though. Am I SOL with making another iTrip work on this thing? I'm kind of p.o.'ed, because this is my second iPod, and I'm not ready to buy another one just yet. Any suggestions on what I can do?
    Thanks.

It sounds like you may have a damaged iPod.
Have you tried docking the iPod to a computer? If the port is bad, you shouldn't be able to get a connection. If you can, then you may just have a partially broken port.
In either case, there are a number of iPod repair services that could at the very least let you know if the iPod is repairable.
And as for your car charger, I'd not use it if you can help it. Some of the 3rd party accessories are garbage, and it could be the root cause of your problem,

  • Problems ejecting 5G iPod with iTunes 7.0 (Sep-12 version)

I'm starting a new thread because after searching others I have concluded this is a new issue not covered elsewhere. Problem - after upgrading to iTunes 7.0 and restoring my 5GB iPod to version 1.2 when I attempt to eject my iPod I get the error message "The iPod cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application". I spent hours resolving this problem just to get to the point of updating my iPod to 1.2 thinking that the new version would work. Now - even with the latest software installed - I still can't eject.

Ok, tonight I've managed to make my iPod work again with my Mac. I've managed to remove iTunes 7.0.2 and install iTunes 6.0.5 by following the following instructions:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=651195&tstart=0
Also, make sure you remove all iTunes files/directories from:
    Macintosh HD >Library >Receipts
Then installation of iTunes v6.0.5 was possible and all the 5000 music files were correctly synchronized. Even after a reset, the iPod still works nicely...

  • MacBook Pro (r) noise problem when using headphones with 90%+ charge?

I've tried using other headphones on the MacBook and they work just fine; but I've also used the Denons on other devices and they too work perfectly fine. The problem is that the headphones output has too much bass, if that makes sense. It's the same as when you play a very very loud noise on a tiny speaker. I've tried playing on the settings but nothing works! I bought the laptop 2 weeks ago and the problem persisted even then but I didn't think of it as a big problem until now. I'm 100% sure the problem only exists when the charge is 90% or higher because I saw the charge drop to 89% and *poof*! it goes back to normal! This is really very annoying!

You are still under warranty.  Call Apple Care. Make sure you get a case number as all repairs have an additional 90 days of warranty.
Take FULL advantage of your warranty.  Posting on a message board should be done as a last resort and if you are out of warranty or Apple Care has expired.

  • Us ipod with uk charger

Hi, I would greatly appreciate any help on my question...
I have a mini ipod that I bought in the States. Now in the UK, is it okay to get a uk charger and plug the ipod into it? or does it need to still go through a voltage converter?
I turn on my laptop a lot, through a voltage converter, just to charge the ipod and it seems like a lot of strain on the computer for a little task.
    thanks in advance!

iPods all charge using the same voltage, regardless of where they were purchased. Also, Apple supply power supply units which work pretty much anywhere in the world.
As long as you can physically connect the power supply to the power outlet in your country, the iPod will charge.
To simply answer your question: yes, you can get a UK charger to charge the iPod you have purchased.

  • Can i charge 30gig ipod with blackberry charger?

it says on the charger dc output 5.0v > 0.5A.
it says on iPod 5-30v > 1A max
surely this should be fine but i dont want to plug it in without being sure. has anyone charged an ipod this way before??

Blackberry charger has a dock connector? 30GB iPOd charges through the dock connector so I don't think the Blackberry charger will work.

  • Charing iPod with iGo charger

So I got the generic USB tip for the iGo charger. This is just a USB power port. I use a mini dock on my iPod to get line out while I'm in my car, and it has a USB in for charging. However, when I connect the USB it does not charge. Does anyone know how I can get line out AND charge my iPod?

In the computer does not have iTunes installed it can't sync to it. You can manage music on multiple computers but not sync everything to more than one computer. See:

  • Charging a US iPod with UK Charger

Would it be possible to use a UK or European iPod Mini charger to refill the battery on my iPod (US) Mini?

Correction to Jeff's post. If the charger is a universal charger, like the original Apple sold charger, then his post is correct. However, if your charger is a third party charger, you have to check the specs on it to see what the input is rated for. Some may be universal but other may be specifically designed (to cut costs) to only take UK voltages.
