Problem on 3250

dear all,
I can't believe just update software. my 3250 phone became dead. It cannot start again. I took it to Nokia Service in Hong Kong. They told me that it needs to replace mother board. It cost HK$600 plus exam. fee HK$120. Just update the software can damage the mother board. My phone is dead. Please, can anyone help me?

the phone dont open and wriet (sim card not valied) but when i i open him without sim card open good without any problem.

its may be a software issue just dial *#7370# before dial thiz move your important data like media or sms contacts then if u have stil problem then update the phone software or otherwise reflash your phone

Problem connecting 3250 to a pc through pc suit

from last couple of weeks i am having problems when i try to connect my nokia 3250 to a pc through nokia pc suit (using cable)
as soon as i connect my mobile it gives a error which says

yes i have the right usb. it came with my nokia 3250. pc suite mobile only gives error when i try to refresh messages in pc suit

Hello Jason, Thanks for your reply, when I click the speaker test thing on my RealTek Panel (http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/9499/oliver2007aug2800sr9.jpg) the rear speakers work fine, it's just whenever I'm listening to music or playing a game the audio doesn't come out the rear two speakers. Can you help me because i too have the same problem:
Problem 1:
1-I install any software (e.g:snake game) through Application manager (Pc Suit) in memory card.
2-I launch that software (snake game) just after installation it works properly.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4-I try to launch that software (snake game) again but it doesn't response.
Problem 2:
1:There is a image in my Memory card.
2: I set that image as a wallpaper.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4-Wallpaper reset to default one.
Problem 3:
1-I install a theme through Application manager (Pc Suit) in memory card.
2: I apply that theme in my hand set.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4- Now theme reset to default one.

ok, heres the thing. I have a nokia 3250 phone. I tried connecting it to the computer with the usb cable, but there is a problem. it detects the phone and even shows up in pc suite. for like 5 seconds. then it detects sumthing else and a windows baloon pops up saying "Nokia Device Bus connected in non-compatible mode. Change it from UI" and then whr it says "nokia 3250 connected" on pc suite...it says multiple phones connected. Also, before, when I used to actually use this phone alot..i used to connect it to the computer and use it as a modem and use my service providers internet on my computer..but now it says "no modems found" when i try to connect. another problem is, when ever i start pc suite...it asks me to connect to the internet before it can run...and if i cancel that, pc suite crashes. please advice me on this one. thanks.

It is a phone UI issue that you are currently having as answered in your other post but repeated here:
Select Menu> Connect. > Data cbl.. Select what the USB data cable connection is used for: Media player, PC Suite, or Data transfer. To have the device ask the purpose of the connection each time the cable is connected, select Ask on connection.
For Data transfer and Media player connections the phone is in the offline mode, and no incoming or outgoing calls are possible.
After transferring data, ensure that it is safe to unplug the USB data cable from the PC.

Nokia 3250 messenging problems????

Hi, I have a nokia 3250, and the phone generally works fine!!! however when i send or reply to a txt message it literally takes about 4-5mins to actually send. It just displays SENDING screen. Can anybody help me figure this problem out.

3250 theme problem!!

i've installed a theme on my 3250.
it worked great untill i turned my phone off and on.
When i turn my phone on it give's a problem alert.
first it says:
aplication closed: standby
second:
Can't do selfcheck, please contact (someone with knowlegde of the phone, where u bought the phone or nokia service center or something like that) Sorry i don't know how to say it in english
does somebody knows what's wrong??

Sounds like the theme has totally messed up your phone.
I would attempt to reformat - you will loose everything saved on the phone memory including the theme that is causing the problem
To do this, switch off the phone and as it starts (before the handshake) press * (star), 3 and the green call key.
If this doesnt work you might have to go to a repair centre.

Problem with Cisco 3250 mobile router WMIC configuration

I have two 3250 mobile routers, and each one has 2 WMICs, 1 MARC and 1 4-port FEMIC. WIC1 seems to be the AP since its FE port connects to the FE0/0 or MARC, and WIC2 seems to be the bridge since its FE0 connects to FEMIC's FE2/3. The IOS version of router is 12.4(2)T3, and IOS version of both WMIC is 12.2(15).
I configured two routers in the following way (similar configuration as the police car example in the 3200 router software configuration guide):
1. Router1's WIC2 (bridge) acts as WGB, and router2's WIC2 (bridge) acts as root bridge.
2. Router2 is the DHCP server also.
3. WIC1 of each router is configured as root AP.
During my testing, the following scenarios happened:
1. WIC2 of both router can successfully associated.
2. Wired client can get IP address from router2 when it is pluged into either router's FE ports.
3. Wirless client can associate with the bridge connection, i.e. connected to the wirless bridge connection. (Weired! Can bridge work as a AP?)
4. Wireless client can't stably associate with WIC1 of either router, which is supposed to work as AP. A lot of authentication and deauthentication messages are flushing in the console. IP address can be leased, however, Ping was not successful.
My question is:
1. Why did this kind of problem happen?
2. How should i configure each WIC to achieve the set up of wireless client associate with AP and routers communicate through bridge?
3. Is my understanding on 3200 router wrong?

Big Nokia 3250 problems

Hi guys.
My girlfriends 3250 has some massive problems. The navigation stick doesnt work corectly, when moved around it acts as if a button has been pressed on the keypad!
Anyone know what this could be?
Taking it to a repair shop is not an option, it is out of warrenty and I am skint at the minute and can't afford repair costs. I consider myself pretty handy with dismantling phones but I need some advice on the place to look first.

I've had it in pieces.
All plugs are secure and dust free and still same. Does anyone know where I can get a spare part for the insides? I think its bit with the directional button on (the name escapes me). Also, after changing the case, the screws are REALLY hard to get in. My hand hurts.

Nokia 3250 camera problems

im having bother with my camera on my 3250. basically when i swivel the bottom part it switches to the camera mode but there is no view finder display, its just diplaying the wallpaper. it randomly does this, more frequesntyl than not, and even when it does show the view finder, it freezes etc and looks pretty grainy etc.
any ideas folks?

just a wee update on my problem. took it to a dealer who flashed the software in a bid to fix the problem. after 3 seperate attempts, none of which worked, the phone has now been sent away for further investigation so we'll see what they say. i hope i get a fault report back with it.

Nokia 3250 v4.14 Text Messaging Font problem

Does anyone who have upgraded to v4.14 experienced having the text messaging fonts written in bold? The previous versions writes these fonts in standard size as it was.

I upgraded my 3250 today and didn't find any difference in the text size or the sound quality, but then I never had any problem with my 3250 earlier - touch wood. There was a nice extra theme though.

Nokia 3250 text messaging problems

Hi I have a Nokia 3250 and have been experiencing problems when send SMS / MMS messages. The first 3250 I had started going funny after a week or so whereby you when you have written your message and clicked for it to send the sending message box would come up but if a button was pressed it would freeze and even if no button was pressed it wold take anything up to a minute to actually send the message and then allow you to carry on using the phone. I was told this may be a software problem and another new handset was sent to me. At first this worked fine but now the phone is only a week old it has started developing the same fautl, although not as bad as the first it still freezes and wont allow anything to be done on the phone until the message gets sent. I have tried the sim card in a Motorola and it works fine (the sim is only 2-months old). Has anyone else experienced this on the 3250????

i just purchased nokia 3250 before 2 weeks and experiemced the same problem as mentioned by you, 1st i ignor it thought may set has slow processing speed as it is with some sets but one of my colleagues has same model and his set is perfactly allright.

i talked with the dealer he said just submit is he will send it to company and reinstall the software or do anyother thing if necessary to solve the problem.

3250 problem

Hello. I have a problem with my Nokia 3250. I did the update of the software with the Updater. I thought that this will be good, but it isn't. I get a non-stop error, especially when I listen to music or take a picture, "App. closed: MosaicStartThread".
What can I do? :-?

KINDLY I WANT ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET THEMES FOR NOKIA 3250, BECAUSE ALL THEMES I ALREADY DOWNLOAD IT WITH (.SIS) EXTENSION DOESNT INSTALLED ON MY PHONE , AND I TRIED MANY WEBSITE , BUT MANY OF THEM DOESNT SUPPORT 3250 THEMES,, PLEASE I WANT SOME HELP TO MANAGE THIS PROBLEM,AND IS THERE NEW FILES WITH DIFFERENT EXTENSIONS RATHER THAN (.SIS).
