Problem on exporting HD on Premiere CS5

Im trying to export media to any HD (DVCPRO HD 1080i50 or DVCPRO HD 1080p25), but when i try to play the movie it appears an error that says:
The document “X.mov” could not be opened. The movie is not in a format that QuickTime Player understands. You may need to install additional software to open this type of file.
But this is only happening to me when using CS5, I exported the same movie with CS4 and it played perfectly.
Can anyone tell me what Im I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance

What are the exact export specifications?

  • I'm having problem with exporting video from premiere pro cc 2014

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 and I'm having problem with exporting video.
When I click Export and media, the window for exporting appears and it starts exporting video.
But after a few minutes, it looks like it has completed exporting video and says there's a bug in exporting.
It literally says it has a problem with compiling, but I don't know what the real problem is.
I tried many things like restarting computer and Premire Pro but it's no use.
But it works when I use Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 for exporting video.
If anyone knows any possibilities about why this problem happens, please let me know.

I'm having a similar issue.  When I go to export my project, I add it to the render queue, set it up with the h.264 settings that I've used with countless past versions of the program, and then hit render.  Randomly, at some point in the process, the render just stops and the ETA just keeps climbing.  I actually had to save an XMF file of the CC 2014 project and bring it into the previous CC version of Premiere just to finish it.  Even a clean re-install of CC 2014 doesn't work.

i recently started usining premiere c6 and after exported my project to mpeg-dvd i noticed that sound quality is reasonably lost,  than exported sound  separatedly without video to wav and result was the same bad. The imported sound source was really good, recorded in studio- wav 24 bit 48000. Before i used cs3 and never had such a sound problem after export video.

It's difficult to speculate without hearing the original and the export.  Can you upload them?

  • Exporting video,adobe premiere cs5

I used adobe premiere cs5 to make a video which includes photos and videos. It's 40 min long. When i do export, microsoft AVI format, it comes out too big (8.5 Gb) and i can't copy it to SD cards or memory stick.
How can i make it "copyable" and smaller (Gb)?
    The sequence settings:
    Editing mode: desktop
    Timebase: 29.97 f/s
    Frame size: 800x600
    Thank you!

There are endless choices of codecs and settings you could use. If you tell us the intended delivery, we can narrow it down. Do you want to share with friends to watch on other computers? Online streaming? DVD?

  • Exporting from Adobe Premiere CS5 into FCPX

    Hi,
I have been given a project in Windows Adobe Premiere CS5. What is the best way to import this into FCPX?
    Thanks

Export PPro's XML, run that through the utility app "7toX", open the resulting FCPXML file into FCP X.  It won't be 100%, but rarely is XML between companies software 100%.

  • Audio problems when exporting files from Premiere Pro CS5

I try to post in English.
I have audio problems in Premiere Pro CS5 when exporting a film.
I cut an interview. The sound seems not to be synchronized when exporting a file. It doesn´t matter what file format I export. On cutting points the sound is different to the sound I hear in premiere. In premiere the audio sounds very good but in exported file I hear cracks on cutting points.
When I reimport the audio file an put it in the timeline the synch point is correct but the interview differs about 2 frames to the original audio in premiere.
The material was filmed on Sony ex3. The files are XDCam HD. I have updated the production suite.
    Thanks for answers

Also, make sure that you check the box marked "Export Audio" if you want a MP4 extension.

  • Problem when exporting audio from Premiere Pro v4.2.1 into wave 5.1 format

    Hello to Adobe experts!
After installing of last updates for Adobe Premiere Pro (v4.2.1) and for Media Encoder (v4.2.0.006) the was a problem:
Now I cannot to export audio from adobe sequence into uncompressed wave format with 5.1 channels settings. Source m2ts video files in sequence are with 5.1 audio.
    What I doing:
    1) in Premiere I execute "File\Export\Media"
    2) Export settings are:
    - format: Windows Waveform
    - audio codec: Ucompressed
    - basic audio settings: 44100Hz, Channels: 5.1, Sample Type 16bit
    3) After OK button it opens Adobe Media Encoder.
    4) After pressing Start Queue in Adobe Media Encoder there is a message "Error compiling movie. Unknown error"
In earlier versions it worked fine.
Can you help me with this problem?
    Alexander

Here are the options, from a sequence with 5.1 master track:
    and with Surcode:
Notice that first one does only give stereo as an option. Nothing more. With Surcode it gives you 5.1 sound.

  • Export failure in Premiere CS5

    Jello,
I am trying to export a large project (Full HD video of 134 minutes) and Premiere crashes when I am trying to export. If I try to export much smaller clips, I don't have problem.
Would you happen to know what might be wrong?
    Thanks

Sounds like an underpowered computer, if it is to pro tape just re transcode & re transcode and join up ?
I liked the Russian, hope the translation is OK .
Ie., Say small sequences  of maybe 30 minutes or smaller, we had a problem on a Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz hyper-threaded computer running premier Pro 1.5.1 ? In the end the production in HD looked very professional. With a XEON Quad Core 64 bit using a Nvidia Quadro FX 3800, even without hyper-threading we have not encounted  that issue .

  • Export m4v from Premiere CS5 on mac

    Hi,
I am trying to output a .m4v (one single file that has video and audio together) from Premiere Pro CS5 on mac.
    Settings I have tired are:
    h.264
    h.264-bluray
    Apple TV
The file will be used on iphone and ipad devices; however, Premiere can only output the file in two tracks (audio and video seperately).
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++
    Method I also tried is:
    Export my video to .mov
Open .mov at Quick Time Pro
Use Quick Time Pro Save As - Apple TV format.
However, it only provide as large as 960x480 size.
I need a Setting to control my video dimension as well.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++
    Anyone can help?
    -thanks ahead,
    sl

MP4 is the correct container for a file that contains video and audio, yes.
I should clarify that the use of "MP4" vs "M4V" is nearly only a semantics issue.  I only brought it up to clarify your question.  You could just as easily substitute something nonsensical, like "ZZZ" and it wouldn't change the content of the file, though it might cause some applications trouble recognizing the file.
    > why is it that I can use Quicktime Pro (Save As > Apple TV format) to render my .mov to .m4v  that contain the audio?
See my comment above about semantics for the real reason.  However, the QuickTime application plays fast and loose with a lot of rules.  I would never hold it up as an example of what other video applications should or shouldn't do.
Here are Apple's specification pages for iPad, iPad 2, and some models of iPhones.  You can see here that H.264 video is accepted in M4V, MP4, and MOV containers.

  • Problem with second display in premiere CS5

Hi. I have a problem with external device, I have Mac Pro with ATI radeon HD 5770 and two displays 24 LED display that is primary and second 27 LED cinema display, in Premiere on external device only none and DV 720 576 and no second display.

That's the thing, Steve.  Using the secondary monitor for playback, it should not be able to show any part of the desktop at any time.  It should show only black if nothing is playing, or it should show what is playing in one of Premiere Pro's monitors.  But never the desktop.

  • Some footage exports jittery from Premiere CS5

This is an issue I'm getting rather inconsistently. I will export series of videos and there are times that just one of them the footage just goes nuts on. I can't really find a rhyme or reason, as I export them all with the same settings in a series. I've tried re exporting, making export adjustments, and restarting both the program and my computer, but the same episodes end up the same way, and the source footage is from the same batch as the rest. Before I thought maybe I had to many adjustments going on in one episode, but this is not happening in basic stuff I do quite often, I can't figure it out at all.
Heres a sample of whats going on.

  • Exporting from Premiere CS5

I need some help exporting video files, I know nothing.
I'm using Premiere CS5. I import a 31.5mb (1:35s length) .mov, chop the first 12 seconds, add a Dip to Black on the beginning and end. Then I choose File/Export/Media, choose QuickTime, uncheck the "Export Audio" (I do not want the sound) then click "Export." I end up with a 300mb file. I don't understand why the file is 10x larger than what I started with???
Ultimately, I need to create a video file that will be linked from a PowerPoint presentation.
Any other advice for exporting video from Premiere CS5 would be greatly appreciated! Like what's the best for web?

  • PREMIERE PRO CS5.5 Gamma problem while exporting project to mjpeg A or B

    Dear Sir,
I'm in a big ****. I've directed and edited 1h documentary for Finnish television, also, the technical specs requested by the TV Channel is all production Broadcast masters must be encoded with Apple ProRES codec or MJPEG A or B.
As i'm working on PC (win7), the ProRES codec doesn't exist on PC system, so i've done the export to MJPEG. The problem is i have a different gamma level when i watch the final export with Quicktime or VLC. Of course i can adjust the level in those players, but it doesnt effect the file. When i import the Qt file into a Premiere sequence, the gamma level is still **** and different from my original level i have from my timeline and preview window. If i export the project to H264 1920x1080p25, then the gamma is perfect with Qt, VLC and WinMedia player. But the TV station don't wanna work with H264. Deadline is on next monday, and i can't send a Qt MJPEG file with wrong gamma !!!Any chance to find a solution to fix it ??? After reading different forum, i can see this problem exist since many years and never been solved.
    What can i do ??
    Denis.

Things is my prpject includ few effect plugins i bought, so what ever i could find a mac, not your i could export xml project to finalcut with plugins it dont have

If it were me, I wouldn't encode to MJPEG.
So as to encode to ProRes on Windows you can utilise any solution based on ffmpeg/ffmbc or better yet find a Mac with Final Cut or Compressor installed for delivering critical work.

I can't export to tape in CS5. I am trying to export a DV sequence with a IEEE1394 cable.
The camera is connected and is seen in CS5. I can acquire footage from the same camera with the same connection and settings. But if I try to export, the exportation process begins, the camera starts but its screen remains blue. At the end I get the message "export to tape successful" , however I have nothing on the tape.
I have 2 systems: a CS3 system (XP)  and a CS5 system (Win7 64bits). My card is a GTX 470 and in CS5 the Cuda acceleration is working.
On my CS3 system - which I operate with a Matrox RTX2 card - there is a setting where I can hit " activate export by IEEE 1394".  With this setting, (same camera same Firewire connection), I can successfully export to tape from CS3. If I don't have this key activated I get the same result with the screen of the camera that remains blue.
I hope someone can help me. Below is a picture of my settings
    Thanks in advance

  • Premiere CS5 AME Export slower than direct export?

    Hello everyone,
I am testing premiere cs5 premium, and having some issues with AME export render times.
When I export media to AME it shows about 6hours to render a sequence which is 15min long.
    Export settings :
    H.264 1280x720 25fps
    VBR, 2-Pass, Progressive
    Target 8Mbps
    Max 10Mbps
Input Squence is directly from AVCHD handycam with native settings no resizing but some simple color correction
However when I do the same export directly from Premiere Pro the render time drops to 38mins (which is btw also not so optimal)
    My Hardware Specs:
    Intel Core2Quad @ 2,40Ghz
    Ram : 8GB (premiere uses 6GB)
Scratchdisk: non raid 1TB with 130Mbps average read/write
    (Raw Files on Scratchdisk)
I used to export similar sequences alot faster with cs4 on the same machine..
    What could cause this problem?
Thank you in advance for your answers

Thank you for your quick reply, but It couldnt solve the issue..
    Harm Millaard wrote:
First of all, the remaining time indication in AME is not very accurate.
well thats also my experience, but after waiting over an hour, it was still below 25% on the scale.. so I paused and switched to direct export
    Harm Millaard wrote:
Most of the time and especially with H.264 exports, there is no significant difference between direct export and AME.
Obviously in this case "most of the time" wont apply.. because I did export it directly from within Premiere 6 times faster..
There must be a problem somewhere between AME and PremierePro during reading the squence and rendering it.
Hardware Accelaration is turned on, and I have a supported Cuda Card
