Problem on find out no of lines

I have many paragraph int textfiled. I set it in htmlText,multiline,wordwrap and set height and width. I set height 150 and width in 200. Now I want to find out how much numbers of lines are there in my textfield. Any idea ??

Finding out when phone line is going to be fixed

Along with quite a few people in Clapham, our phone line is down, and has been since Wednesday. So far, I've been told that it will be fixed by the 21st Jan! Can any one tell me how to find out the selected event in the list

Your subject said 'selected line in list' and your description says 'selected event in the list'. Which one is it you want to know?
For line you will use the event AT LINE-SELECTION and for event you will use AT USER-COMMAND.

How to find out the Last line of a page in Smart forms

Hi Experts,
I need to find out the last line of a page in smartforms.
I have Heading in a text element and its text in another text element.
If the heading falls in the last line, its contents will be displayed in the next page. I want to print the heading in the next page.
Please advise on this issue.

You can put both the heading and contents in a Folder node and check the page protection checkbox of the Folder node. This way both will be displayed on the same page always.

How you can solve a problem or find out on a dead pc if the problem relies on motherboard and not on processor or vice versa

hi.
I am working myself with computers , so there is one thing in my mind I wanted to be sure,which I couldn't find an answer for it!
because I had before totally black screen and the problem was damaged processor.
I am wondering how I can be sure as the last option when I get a black screen and there is no lihgts at all no any LED is lighting.totally dead pc.
how you can be sure then that the problem relies on processor and not on motherboard or vice versa the problem relies on motherboard and not on processor
because I can't say to the customer lets buy first a processor if it is the cause of dead PC and if not then we buy motherboard. this sounds not wise.
so I experimented first with my latop ,I pulled out the processor to see if I can see any LED light or any movement on the motherboard to be sure that motherboard giving me some clue that it is healty. I gave some light heat to de fan to let it turn ,because
it is working with heat sensors then I know that the motherboard is healty. but it didn't work.
I did the same with my desktop computer and the result is the same no any lights and no any movement on the motherboard . so now can some one tell me how you can distuingish as a last result which of this 2 components is causing dead PC. is there any
tool to test the motherboard or how asus,dell ect. they solve such a problem if the customer send to them a dead pc.
I know that the power supply also can cause dead pc but I know how to solve a problem with dead power supply. and I want to keep away power supply from this question. please do not tell me that Idon't have to pull out processor
because I am a technician and both of my computers are doing very good after this experiment.

Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory.

I need a report which will show all the fully open PO items for which no GRN has been done.
In ME2N when I give the selection parameter "open goods receipt" then it shows all the line items with partially & fully open. But my requirement is to get a report of only fully open items.

How to find out no of lines in String

Hi all,
How to find no of lines in a multi lined String.
For example.
String str = "hjkhjkhjhjhkhlk\nfjdhfjhdjfhjdhfj\nfdhfjdhjfhdj\ndfjdkjffjdfjk\nfdffdh";
Here there are 5 lines because there are "\n".
I am not able to substring with "\n".
Any idea please?

i have a requirement like this. i have table control and the internal table for that table control as IT_CASE. this internal table i declared as CHECKBX, MATNR, QUANTITY. but when i am enter the values in the table control i am getting the values in MATNR and QUANTITY in the that internal table IT_CASE. but when iam selecting that that line iam not getting CHECKBOX as 'X' in that internal table IT_CASE. i declared the table control as CAS_CONTROL and in that i have given the "w/selcolum" property as IT_CASE-CHECKBOX. now i want to fill that CHECKBOX as 'X' inthat internal table IT_CASE whatever the lines we are selecting only for those lines i want to fill up as 'X' in that internal table.
Can you please suggest any one reg this.

Is there a possiblility to find out how many lines there are in a text file without going thru the hole text? Something like a what's-the-last-line-number-method ?

In the good old days ancient operating systems has the motion of the file type. that is, special kinds of file were handled with by the OS like sequential file or index-sequential files.

This is Idoc--File scenario
Iam sending the Idoc from R/3 and it may have several Line items and related data.
If One line item data is wrong also the Idoc will be errored Out in MONI,for this i used UDF in mapping to through the Exceptions. So i have to goto WE05 in R/3 and i have to check each and every line item for wrong data and then i will repost it.
the thing is how can i find out the Particular line item is caused for this Error.

That is only the problem here.

How to find out height of text, given width?

Hello, I apologize in advance for this must be a stupid question, but I just can't seem to find an answer in the docs...
If I have a text (string + font information), and I know how wide the display will be, how do I find the height??
The solution I know of (adapted from camickr code), works, is a hack using a phantom JFrame - see the method showHeight. This is the kind of code that my first college programming professor would call "Mark, your code is ugly and miserable". How to do this right? (or is this the only way)

This is not a trivial problem
To start with, you definitely need to know
#1 What Font (family, size, style) are you using? This is assuming you are just using 1 font. More than 1 font makes it much much more complicated.
#2 How are you doing line breaks? Are you doing line breaks just on whitespace characters, or on any character?
Now you need to find out how many lines there are going to be. Start by getting the FontMetrics for the Font. You should use getCharWidth('W') or getCharWidth('0') to get a rough estimate of how many characters any line can contain. Then you need to go through your text and figure out how many lines there are, not using the guess you calculated above, but using FontMetrics.stringWidth()

How to find out if running 64 bit jvm

I have an application which can be run using 64 bit JNI libraries, or 32 bit libraries depending on the command line parameters. I want to know if there is any way for me to find out if the JVM is running in 64 bit mode (the -d64 parameter was sent to it) or 32 bit mode. If I could find out the command line parameters sent to the JVM it would be as useful.

D'oh answered my own question about 5 mins after posting :) If anyone is interested there is, starting in jdk1.4, a property called sun.arch.data.model which will be "64" for a when -d64 is used as a command line argument. This property has 3 states, "64", "32" and "unknown" I don't know on what occasion "unknown" will be used

Find out how much data is in a certain table

Hi experts,
I have deleted a lot of entries in a certain table by running the reorganisation-reports in SAP.
Now I know that the table do not change its size because of the HWM. So new data in the table will be inserted in the freed blocks. Now I would like to know how much data remained in the table.
So e.g. the table was 100 GB the size before reorganisation. Now I have deleted a lot of entries and I would like to know, how much data remained in the table. I know that I can find out the average line size and number of entries in DB02old but this is imprecise for me.
Any idea?

How to find out message when i am trying to do MIGO?

When i am trying to do MIGO ( Removing a serial no from storage ), serail number stock is available. Though i am getting the following message

which means : stock not available. So unable to post the document...
The problem is finding out this is failing... could any one pls help me out in finding the problem is?

How to find out if your BB line has been capped?

Is there somewhere I can go to find out if my BB line has been capped? I had an email form BT about a month ago warning me I might exceed my download limit. In the end I did not exceed my limit for the month. But it was shortly after that my BB speed was cut in half and has remained that way ever since. I have had 2 engineers out who can find nothing wrong with the exchange, the line or the equipment in my house. Despite at least 3 SNR resets, my IP profile has been fixed at 750k for the whole time. My IP profile was 2000k or more before the speed was cut.
I just wonder if there is anyway to tell if your BB line has been throttled.

If there is a local noise issue as you suggest, How would one detect such a thing? You can't just switch everything off in a house and leave it for 3 to 5 days to see if the BB speed increases. Surely the tests the the engineers did when they came out to see me would have detected any noise on the line when they tested the line.
The thing I find most frustrating is BT don't even seem able to admit I have any sort of problem at all. The fact I have had a stable connection for years and then suddenly it drops by half overnight seems not to be considered a problem. I think I might just change to another ISP. I really don't think it can be any worse than this.
