Problem on installation of linux through the vmware software on xp operating system. My laptop is Compac CQ60.
The error message is no device found compatable for the installation.

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

Problems after installation on Linux AS 4

Hello all,
after installation on Linux AS 4 I saw several problems
1) Oracle Applications ( Forms doesn't allow conections
I try to connect to apps via http://ibm.domain.com:8000/dev60cgi/f60cgi using several user/password such as apps/apps, sysadmin/sysadmin but I received the following error.
APP-FDN-01542: This Applications Server is not authorized to access this database
2) When I connect to E-Business Suite home page via http://ibm.domain.com:8000/ so many times I can't see the web page complete, missing most of the links and folder. It is strange because I could create a new user and grant some roles to it.
As you can see I'm quite new in this arena.

I think it shouldn't be the problem because as I explained in my previous message, I was able to see the page correctly, even more; I was able to create a new user and grant ABM roles to it.
What are relly missing in the page are links to the AMB forms.
What I also saw in the log file, was the attempt to connect to the server by an unknown ip client. I 'm scared thinking someone could have been trying to damage my installation.

I use MBP Late 2011. Currently I have OSX Lion installed. I decided to do the upgrade through the Appstore. I bought the new version of OSX yesterday evening, around 6pm, left my computer ON overnight and now, at 8am it is not even in the middle of the transfer and it is not downloading even though it says in the AppStore that it is. Activity Monitor shows me that there is no data downloading at all (my Internet connection is 4 MB/sec. and is working just fine). OSX was downloading yesterday night for about 2 hours with the speed around 500 kbps and it stopped. No progress overnight at all. Where is the problem?

Im having a problem reverting to snow leopard through the usual tried and true methods.

i have a mid 2010 imac that originally came with osx 10.6. since i upgraded to mountain lion two years ago, ive been unable to use pro tools 9. i have about a terabyte of sessions and recordings that i need to reopen so i want to make a partition and install snow leopard there. i made the partition and flashed a legit copy of snow leopard 10.6 to a sandisk 16gb usb drive. the bootable drive shows up fine in my current install of yosemite, as does it show up when i restart and hold option to bring up the partitions and other media connected to the usb hub and superdrive. when i click on the bootable drive it goes to the grey apple logo and hangs indefinitely. thinking it may have been the usb drive itself i got a legit copy of 10.6 on disc and tried it in my superdrive. my superdrive however, like many 5 year old superdrives, is a bit fickle and plays certains discs and spits others out immediately, the snow leopard disc being the latter. i got an external disc drive to run the disc and it also popped up in yosemite and at the reboot after holding the option key down, just like the bootable usb drive. it too hangs on the grey apple logo indefinitely. my question is this: do you think that im having with my usb controller? every method ive tried so far is going through the usb ports on the rear of the imac. since i cant boot using the internal drive and i dont have another mac to use the Target Disk mode method, this is the only thing i can come up with. ive literally been trying to reinstall snow leopard since december 2013 without any luck. ANY help would be appreciated. thanks in advance!

When i try to open the itunes store in itunes,windows closes it after not finding a solution for the problem.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Itunes software. I am running Win 7-with IE10-any help?

When I selected the Itunes store on my win PC today-the program was closed by windows with windows saying there was a problem. I tried a couple of times and then uninstalled the itunes software and reinstalled it with the same results. The program has always worked before but I have not used it recently since the Ipad now receives it's software updates right off the router. I am running Win 7 with IE10. Anyone with the same problem?

My post has been viewed 24 times, and yet have had no answers. I have always like adobe products, however if this is the type of support they offer, I will never purchase another product of theirs. The issue I am having is the same issue many others have had, and yet no answer. Poor customer service!

Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard came out in July of 2009 and became obsolete in July of 2011 when 10.7 Lion was introduced. Unlike earlier Operating Systems which were removed from the Apple Store when a new OS came out Apple kept Snow Leopard around for a year until 10.8 Mountain Lion came out. When Mountain Lion came out they removed Snow Leopard and Lion from the online store.
The Early 2006 model 1,1 Core Duo can only run a maximum of 10.6 Snow Leopard. The models Late 2006 Core 2 Duos 2,1 through Early 2008 4,1 can only run a maximum of 10.7 Lion. The Late 2008 model 5,1 Aluminum Unibody through the Mid 2010 White Unibody model 7,1 can run 10.8 Mountain Lion.
The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

I have problems with IOS 6.1.3 the latest software. How can I roll it back to the previous version?

I recently updated my Iphone 3GS with software version 6.1.3 and little problems started to happen. My telephone reception drops out from time to time. A couple of my external chargers are no longer compatible. I tried looking at the Apple website to find out how to restore the previous version without any luck. Can anyone provide some guidance as to where to find it, please ? Thanks.

As much as I want to agree with you. it couldn't have been co-incidental that both chargers were working a few days ago but not after the new software was upgraded. Although my iphone is an earlier generaton model, but I got it new at an Apple Store only a couple of months ago.

Problem with installation on LINUX

i´m trying install jdev on linux (suse 9.0). I set path for jdk a jvm and when run jdev.exe, i get this exception:
java.lang.InternalError: Can't connect to X11 window server using ':0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

Try executing "xhost +" before running JDeveloper. Did you login via XDM as a different user than you are using to run JDev? That's normally the cause for these X permission issues.

Connect problem with DV video-camera through the new thunderbolt to firewire adapter?

I got a JVC DV camcorder with firewire 400 output and I've got a Macbook Air 2012 with 8gb 1600 MHz DDR3, intel i7 2GHz, 256 ssd harddisk and intel HD graphics 4000 512 mb. It has thundebolt but no firewire port.
I wanted to connect these two item and then bought the new "thunderbolt to firewire 800" and the "800 to 400 firewire adapter cable".
I then connect both cables to each other and pluged it in to the JVC DV. I started up iMovie and pressed play on the camcorder, but the signal can't get through and the Macbook Air does not find the camcorder at all? What have I done wrong? Please help..

I wanted to have a taste of systemtap, I read this page:https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Systemtap,and followed the guide,but had problem like this:
scripts/link-vmlinux.sh: line 135: ./.config: No such file or directory
It looks like the configuration file is gone, I checked a little about PKGBUILD, and finded the .config was generated at almost the begining, and i didn't know why it comed this problem.
Is there anyone have experience like this and help me ?
PS: my current linux version is
# pacman -Q linux
linux 3.7.9-2
and use the latest core/linux in abs repo

for the ifconfig u will not get the settings done for the static address bcoz while installing linux i have configured for using the static address method and when i checked for connecting to internet i was not able to so using command line i changed for DHCP configuration and then internet worked
i changed the following files
1. /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
2. /etc/sysconfig/network
3. ifup eth0
4.ifconfig eth0 up
5.chkconfig
6.service network restart
after doing all these i checked for connecting to internet and was successful
why internet does not work in linux when configured for static address
Can we go for dual boot

LiveCycle ES2 installation stops halfway through the process

Hi there!
I've installed LC ES2 before on my machine and normally without any problems.
Now I had to uninstall and install it again. So that I could do it from start, using turnkey, I even removed some items from Windows registry. This has worked before, more than once.
Now this is not working anymore. It always stops at the same place, roughly at 60% of the installation process. I wonder why. Some problem with Java?
Please, has anyone had this kind of problem before?

I am not sure why you would have to delete reg entries from windows, but i have a couple of questions:
Was this failure duing the install process, i.e. at any point during the install? If not, was it during the LCM process?
If it was during the LCM process, at what point did it halt: was it during DB initialization, or component deployment? (I figure the EARs configured ok, since you mentioned at about "60%".
If you could share the server.log exception and the LCM log exception, that would help.

Problems with installation under Linux

I try to install Portal 3.0.6 under linux, but it always says on the end of the install that the SSOHash class was not loaded and that the WWSEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_INFO$ table is empty. The install l9g shows a message that it couldn;t allocate space in lrage_pool, but I allocated much more space in this pool than the requirements said and it still doesn't work. The installation is mess,

loadjava expects ksh to be on the system. Obviously, you won't have ksh on your Linux box.
Perform a symbolic link from bash to ksh and it'll work just fine.
