What edition of LR 5? What edition of ACR does PSCS 6 contain. If they are not parallel (same edition number x in [5 or 8].x ), is LR making a tiff or psd rendition of the image?

Try this. This is for CS6 but substitue CC and Bridge 6.
~library/caches/Adobe/Bridge CS6 and inhere should be 2 files:
Adobe Bridge Plug-in Cache
and the folder called Cache. Inhere should be 4 folders called '254', '1024', 'data' and 'full'
All those folders carry the content of the respective quality of the thumbs and preview as well as 100 % cache and Bridge database.
Any way, Since you have not used Bridge you have no relevant amount of cache and I would suggest you quit both PS and Bridge and manual delete both the items (plug in and folder called cache at the end of the Bridge CS6 path mentioned above.
(both files will refresh itself after a restart of Bridge).
To be on the save side also visit in same user library the folder Preferences and look for the file called "com.adobe.bridge5.plist" (yes it is Bridge 5 that comes with CS6, all Adobe apps have their own version number and they are presented in the same Suite version. CS6 has PS version 13 and Bridge version 5 )
also drag this file to the trash.
Then hold down option key (alt) while starting Bridge and this should give you the option to reset the preferences as mentioned earlier in this thread.
Choose reset prefs and try again.

That would be any other plug-ins you've installed after Photoshop. Out of the box that folder is completely empty with Photoshop CS6.
To be completely accurate, what you did wrong was that you copied plug-ins that were supplied by Adobe with the earlier version of Photoshop. Those plug-ins logically conflict with the current ones Adobe supplies with Photoshop, which are now provided in another place.
They've changed the folder structure, so no longer are any plug-ins supplied by Adobe put in that folder. Hopefully for a future version update you can copy those you have in Photoshop CS6 without getting yourself into the same trouble.

You need to install Java SE 6 to run those programs. There has been quite a bit of discussion here about that. Something at one of these links should get you going...

HELP!! CC wont let me open CS6

Hello,
My CC subscription recently expired, so instead of renewing it I reinstalled my old CS6. Now, every time I try to open CS6 programs, I get the CC message saying they need to verify my subscription. Needless to say, I end up being unable to open anything. My CS6 was originally in the form of a CD, and when I reinstalled it I used a download link and the serial number on the box.
Please help!!

Hi Daslkdjalkjd,
I'd try signing out of the Creative Cloud app from its Preferences > Account tab. After that when you launch your CS6 product you should be able to enter a serial number.
If you don't get the options after doing that another thing to try would be to use the Adobe Cleaner Tool - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
and choose the option to remove your Adobe ID info. I think that's option 8 from within the tool.

Problems opening up 2011 raw files in current Photoshop.

I'm having problems opening up some of my older RAW files in Photoshop CS6 and CC. It extends to both dng and cr2 files. They display as a monotone image, with no original color present. I can copy the files to another computer with CS5 and open them up there and they're fine, and I can resave them and they're OK. But this could be a looming problem. What's going on?

Ha! It's a camera profile thing, I have a profile for my IR converted 5D, and for some reason some of my files had that profile applied. If I opened it in a computer without that profile on it, it opened up fine. Thanks.

Audition CS5.5 crashes opening CS6 and CC sessions, but worked fine previously

Hi Guys,
The radio station I work at, operates 2 iMacs using Snow Leopard. One computer has Audition CS5.5 installed and the other used to have CS6 and now runs CC.
When I first started working here, the CS5.5 machine would open CS6 sesx files without issue, but for the last few months, every session crashes the program when opening the file. Same happens with CC sesx files.
Restrictions don't allow to have the CS5.5 machine upgraded to CC, so I don't have the opportunity to try a new version.
I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and was able to find a work around.

The problem is the reference to the 10 band Graphic Equalizer effect
I removed it and all is good
I didn’t have time to isolate it any further than that

Trouble opening cs6 v17 from cs6 v16.2.1 (illustrator). Tells me that the document was v=created by a newer version and of course flattesn and groups EVERYTHING. Should I have been notified of a software update?

Ask in the AI forum and tell people what features you actually used in your artwork, what fonts, what system you are on etc.. Flattening always has a specific cause, it's not per se a file compatibility problem.

Having problems opening an AI file in solid works 2014. The illustrator version I have is CS6 64 bit. and I am using windows 7. When I import the file into a sketch, Illustrator opens up and nothing happens. I am able to open up dxf, tif,etc. I read on another forum someone had the creative suite that contained 64 and 32 bit versions of the program. and it was working . Any ideas on what to do? By "translate" do you mean color shifts? What is it about the prints that are incorrect? Do you have document color mode info? What are the Color Settings in the Taiwan Illustrator application vs. the U.S.?

Why does opening CS6 cause my display colours to change?

Hi guys,
My problem: Whenever I open CS6 (Photoshop, Illustrator...) my display colours on my laptop change. WHen I close the colours shift back to me defult settings. The Image mode is on RGB.
I have a new MacBook Pro with 6GB of RAM.
Any ideas? It's making work (digital advertising) difficult.

Problem opening multiple pictures in Photoshop. OldBob1957 has given me some suggestions on how to overcome this problem. I tried to Edit.Purge>All, Reset Preferences, Delete the Adobe Photoshop x Prefs.psp folders and Ctrl+Alt+Shift on Photoshop startup. Did not work, what next? Delete all the PSP folders.? There are 45 more in my computer. Any help will be appreciated.

I reset the max memory to the high side as suggested but the results when I opened the pictures and changed them was the same. I could open four but nto the fifth one.

3 or 4 and when I try to open the next I receive a pop up error message that says: "Could not

updates and the message I receive when I check for updates is: “Your applications are up-to-date

OK, first no other program can see the catalog as it is database used just for lightroom. However your pictures should stay where you imported them onto your computer. Which is normally the default pictures folder.
For bridge to see the edits done to the picture, you must save the picture (ctrl-s or cmd-s) this will write the edits to the header of the image or a sidecar file. Bridge can then read this file and allow you to see the edits that were done to that image.
Edit in photoshop should be working. Did you remove any pictures from your hard drive? Do you have more than one version of photoshop installed?
Have you tried resetting the preference files for both lightroom and photoshop (while starting program, hold down ctrl-alt-shift or cmd-opt-shift - If done correctly a dialog box will pop up asking if you want to reset your preferences)
Lastly uninstall then reinstall photoshop. (If you have the latest version you can do this in the manager)
