Problem opening Acrobat 8.1 Standard in IE Browser Now that Reader X Has Been Installed

I have Adobe Standard 8.1 and up until this weekend also had Reader 8 (I believe).  This weekend my Reader was upgraded to Reader X.  I can no longer successfully open a PDF in my IE browser through Standard (no problems prior to Reader X installed)  Reader is ok in the browser but I have some applications that require Standard in the browser.  When I try to do this, the PDF opens in a separate Adobe window.  How can I adjust the settings to allow Standard to open in IE?  Thank you

Problem solved. Does only happen with the Internet Explorer 32bit.
With Internet Explorer 64bit it doesn't happen.
