Problem opening PDF Docs. Can anyone help?

Hi , I have a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 and Adobe Reader is installed. But when I try to open a PDF doc , I get a message stating I have to install Adobe Reader. Of course when try to do this I get a message stating its already installed. So I am in a catch 22 situation. Can anyone help me please? Lewis

Please try the steps below and let me know if it worked for you
Delete all the files from following folders:
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLStore
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/SLCache
And, delete all files from following folder except cache.db
[Home]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobePCD
Then launch Acrobat and try to activate and check.

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

No not really. If this is a brand new Macbook Pro take it back for a refund. Apple has a 14 day No Questions Asked return policy for Full refund.
Take it back, get the Full Refund (DO NOT LET THEM TRY TO FIX IT. YOU BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER NOT ONE THAT HAS BEEN WORKED ON OR NEEDS TO BE FIXED) and then decide whether to buy another Macbook Pro or the iMac. Or you could return it, get the Full refund and buy some other brand computer.

I have a graphic with a hyperlink in an Outlook email. When I open on it on my iPhone I get the option to email, save, tweet, FB, etc. The text hyerlinks in the email open properly. Can anyone help?

Try checking the hyperlink for the image in MS Outlook.
Select image in signature, then click "Insert Hyperlink" image to the far right of Edit signature toolbar.
Click "Target Frame" button.
Select "New Window", then "OK".
After doing this, it solved my problem.

When you say that the "search bar for my iTunes library no longer works" can you be more specific? The operation of the search function has changed in iTunes 12, essentially having two very distinct modes:
when Search Entire Library is checked, entering a search string will generate a dropdown of all matching items within your whole library, from which multiple operations are available via context menus
when Search Entire Library is unchecked, entering a search string creates a filtered view of whatever your current focus is (e.g., if you're looking at a playlist the filter applies only to items in that playlist) with none of the dropdown options as in the first case

Is everybody having problems with Canoscan drivers-can anyone help, please?

After starting with Leopard, my LIDE25 refuses to work, and the window from the toolbox tells me a driver cannot be found, even after redownloading the driver, which, according to the Canon website, is perfectly compatible with the LIDE25 driver. Someone is not being honest, or Apple has made a huge mistake in the bug department. My smart mailboxes don't work either.Can anyone help? I see there are others with Canon scanner driver problems on this forum - what can we do? I'm so tired of fragile scanners breaking down and needing replacement - they are like VCRs in this respect, somehow a crap technology - but this time it's surely not the scanner to blame.

I have a Conoscan 8400F scanner, and after downloading the latest driver it actually works BETTER than it ever has... used to take almost 3 minutes to scan a 8.5 X 11 page, now less than a minute.

Problems connecting to Exchange - can anyone help?...

I'm trying to connect a Nokia N900 to our Exchange 2007 server.
I've copied and installed our self signed certificate to the phone.
After entering the details of our exchange server it attempts to connect but I keep getting the following error:
"Either exchange server requires a secure connection or your account it disabled"
All of our other devices (iphones, blackberries) work fine with the exact same settings.
This seems like a common issue - one that Nokia are unable to help with.
Can anyone help me?

Good luck. Odds are very strong that something is cooked and the phone will have to be replaced. Drying it out with rice may work, but that's almost always a temporary solution. The corrosion has already begun and sooner or later, it will fail completely. Hopefully, it will wait until after you're eligible for an upgrade again.

Preview no longer opening images or pdfs. Can anyone help?

I recently got a Wacom Bamboo Fun and while the pad works great I installed some of the accompanying software chief among them Adobe Photoshop Elements 8. This software not only failed to open anything itself it kept asking for a password to open PDFs, as none of the documentation with the software showed me how to do this I decided to uninstall the software.
Shortly afterwards my Preview application no longer recognized any image files of any sort nor any PDFs. As you can imagine I am highly frustrated and a little upset about this as it has now robbed me of image viewing abilities with the very handy Preview App.
Does anyone know how to restore it? I have tried to set Preview to read these files again but the program is grayed out when I attempt to do this.
I suppose I can try to reinstall the OS but that is a lot of hassle for just one application. Nonetheless, I am asking in hopes someone has a simpler suggestion.

Find a .pdf file, select it then Get Info (or command+i)
In the window that opens go to 'Open with' then look for Preview in the drop down selector, if it's not there then select 'Other' and browse for Preview (in the Applications folder) - if it's greyed out then change the 'Enable' setting to 'All Applications' not 'Recommended' and check 'always open with'.
Then click Change All before you close the window so it will apply this setting to all PDFs from now on.

Did you not see that D.Call said s/he was an inexperienced computer user… and was obviously asking for elementary level assistance? You were blinded by your belief that your knowledge and expertise is being wasted on anyone who isn’t forthcoming to your expectations. I merely pointed out that if you think it's such a waste of your time, why dwell? You should have left Graffiti to work with D.Call and headed off to another thread. Surely there were other posts requiring your extreme level of higher intelligence.

If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
