PROBLEM OPENING WEBI Scheduled Instance scheduled as Excel

Hi
I am scheduling a webi report in Excel format. The size of this report exceeds 65K.When I ry to open it using openDocument url it hangs and wheras big files open very slowly.Again it does not open using BOSDK.Is ther any way out.

So are you opening it using OpenDocument URL or the BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK?  You appear to refer to both.
If OpenDocument URL, then there's no SDK control over that, so you may want to ask over at the BusinessObjects Enterprise Admin forum.
Sincerely,
Ted Ueda

  • PROBLEM OPENING WEBI Scheduled Instance scheduled as Excel (larg size)

    Hi
I am scheduling a webi report in Excel format. The size of this report exceeds 65K.When I try to open it using openDocument url it hangs. This could not be done even with BO SDK java.

Which product version are you using?  The amount of rows doesn't matter as much as the physical size of the file. How large is this file you're trying to open?  Can you view the instance from InfoView or CMC instead of OpenDocument?  If the size is too large for the appserver to handle, then neither OpenDoc, InfoView or CMC may work.

  • Problem opening web links in a pdf

I work at a college and I have a user that cannot open web links in pdfs that he created himself in Acrobat 7.0. He uses Adobe Reader XI to view pdf's and Adobe Acrobat 7.0 to edit them. His computer at home and my own office computer can open the web links. Funny thing is, Acrobat 7.0 will open the links but latest and greatest Reader on his specific machine won't. Any ideas?

Make sure the URLs are complete and valid. A common error is to leave out http:// at the start, since that seems to work in browsers, but isn't a URL.
Other common errors are leaving spaces or other special characters in URLs, which are forbidden (but not all software blocks it).

  • Excel unable to read WEBI schedule download excel file

    Hi experts,
We use BO central management's instance manager to schedule download a report as excel format in our ftp share folder.
And the download did run successfully and an icon of the file been shown as excel  format in ftp folder.
while we use excel 2007 to open the file, excel pop out the message of unable to read the file.
it is saying the excel found unreadbale content in report. Do you want to recover the contens of this workbook? if you trust the source of this workbook, click yes. after applied the yes, excel stil pop out the message of unable to read the file.
the general tab in excel been uncheck the "ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), but result still shown unable to read.
The whole set of report can be run in WEBI and using save report to my computer as excel without any issues.
WEBI been setup as refresh on open.
    Any clues?

    Hi,
Did you create a PivotTable report in the file? As your description, the HTML format could be used correctly in Excel 2007. Did you get the other error message?
    Such as,Unable to read file.
When you click OK,   you receive the following error message:
Errors were   detected in '<var>filename</var>.xls', but Microsoft Excel was   able to open the file by making the repairs listed below. Save the file to make   these repairs permanent.
PivotTable report   '<var>report_name</var>' on   '[<var>filename</var>.xls]worksheet_name' was discarded due to   integrity problems.
Please try to use the workaround:
Turn off AutoRecovery when you work with any workbooks.Click Excel button>Excel options>Save>Uncheck AutoRecovery
Following this, if the issue exists, I recommend you fix the issue the following KB:

  • PROBLEM OPENING WEB PAGES

Some pages won't open on my mac, no matter what web browser I use. Safari says it can't establish a secure connection, and the other two I've used, CHROME and Firefox, say there was an error loading the page. I can't check my email in gmail or netflix. HELP PLEASE

I ve been having the same problem since I ve got my Mac 3 months ago brand new so I dont think that it comes from anything recently installed, the version is 10.7.4.
The problem is the same even if I change location and use the internet elsewhere, I normally use wifi both at uni and at home. I dont have any third part programs besides chrome that installed to see if it solved the problem.
The only pages I had problem with is netflix which opens normally but then it doesnt play the contents saying it could not stablish a connection, my uni e-mail is through g-mail and it doesnt open as well.

  • Problem opening BEx Analyzer Workbook (saved in Excel 2007) in Excel 2003!!

    Dear all:
I know there are threads about this issue and numerous support tickets have been provided, but we still can't get any Excel 2007 Query to be opened by Excel 2003.
I have tried to save Excel 2007 BEx Analyzer Query into 97-2003 XLS format. But when we reopened (by both Excel 03 and 07), it prompted the warning messages and broke down the query workbook into several sheets with scrambled data. What am I missing here...? According to the support ticket, it seemed pretty straightforward just by saving the format to 2003 XLS, but in reality it just doesn't work as "advertised"
    Thank you...!!!
    Brian

I have the solution for this.
    It works to my environment.
    Follow the steps :
    1. you must open the xlsx workbook from Bex Analyzer.
    2. Save As workbook locally to your PC for excel 97-2003
(Not "save as" from bex Toolbar but from      excel)
    3. Now save that workbook with Save As->Workbook from Bex Toolbar into your BI database.
Now go to detail properties of your workbook and there you can see the format xls for your workbook.
    Good Luck

  • Safari can't open Web with Fash??!!

Okay I have my inteliMac for some time now and just two days ago my safari has been acting up.
Ever since I bought my iMac I've never had any problem opening web pages with flash through safari except now. Everytime I try to open a page with flash it's asking me to install the player and Its still no help.
Does anyone have a clue on whats going on??

    Nick,
I had the same problem and it was caused by just what Andy suggested. I didn't realize that the Core Duo came with a Universal binary version of the Flash plugin and when I installed my Macromedia Studio software I let it install the Flashplayer and it overwrote the Universal version.
I followed the instructions on one of those threads he is suggesting and fixed the problem.
    Good luck.

Any idea what can cause this?
I already checked the file exists and there is a folder "desktop" for the user which runs the scheduled task (same user as in normal powershell)

    Just read the first error:

Access is denied except when running elevated.  You need to be sure the account has access.
Microsoft does not support or recommend using Excel in a non-interactive session.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Open Delivery Schedule list

My current client wants to display a list of Open Delivery Schedules via ME3M or ME3N in ALV mode. using selection criteria WE101 or WE103. The problem is that these reports also display schedule lines that were already received.  I tried changing the selection criteria, creating a new one and still the report shows schedule lines already received.  Do you know a way to remove these delivery schedule lines.
    Frank

    Hi,
    there is e.g. ME3N.
in the report on the very right there is a button like a schedule. Press it and you'll jump to the schedule lines.
    regards, Paul.

  • Sending an email to the user if the WEBi scheduling failed in CMC

    Hello Everyone,
    Current scenario :
I am scheduling WEBi report through CMC and the report is going to end user email as an excel attachment.
    Desired Functionality :
What happens is if the scheduling fails due to some reason. The email does not go to the end user on a particular date and then he complaints.
What i need here an email sending option that if the WEBi scheduling has been failed in CMC an email should go to the user saying : " The WEBi scheduling has failed. The team is working on it " . (This is just a sample message)
So the idea is to send an email to the user when the WEBi scheduling fails in the CMC. How to achieve this ?
    Regards,
    Ashutosh Singh

    Hi Ashutosh,
You can send an alert email to a group when the schedule fails to run by choosing the "A job has failed to run" option under notification.
You can see this option only if you schedule the report through CMC.

    Sunil

  • Project Pro hangs while opening a schedule from Project 2010 server.

    Hi,
We have an issue with opening a schedule from Project server 2010. Project client is not responding. when we try to open schedule in PWA. I am getting unable to open file do you want to open in default view. No matter which view I choose keep getting the
same error. The only view i can see resource view however it will not let me edit. I did notice Project Manager had entered resource names first, last name format which do not exist in our resource pool.  We can open other schedule except this particular
    one.
    Thank you

Obviously, my first thoughts are that this plan is corrupted in some fashion. Entering Resource names differentluy should not cause this issue, they will just not be recognized as Enterprise Resources by the system.
Are you experiencing the issue if you try to open the schedule from PWA? If you are able to open from PWA, try publishing it from PWA and see if it throws any errors.
Also, how about trying it from a different machine?
And finally, it might be worthwhile to check if you have the latest Client Update for Project installed (or atleast matching with the server).
    If none fof these work,
    a) you could try restoring it from Archive Database (assuming you have a daily schedule backup running)
    b) If you are able to open it from another machine, you could use the "Save for sharing" feature to try and resolve any corruption with the schedule itself.

Can any one please suggest a resolution for this issue.
    Thanks,

    Hello Gokul,
first thing is to check is if your chrome version is supported by your current BO version as specified in the PAM (is it?). If the chrome version is supported, and you still have an issue, then you can check with a sap support engineer.

If the "it" refers to a compressed (zipped) spreadsheet that you downloaded, the ".ods" extension is used by LibreOffice and probably OpenOffice (which are free versions of MS Office) for spreadsheets, which would suggest that wherever you're getting that "Excel" file from has switched to one of those programs. I've tried opening an .ods file from LibreOffice using MS Office 2013 for Windows and it does open though with a warning that some things have been changed. I don't know if Office for Mac can normally open .ods files. But if your need is to just open .ods files, take a look at LibreOffice.

  • Problems in transferring Scheduling Agreements from ECC to APO

    Hi All
We are facing a strange problem in transferring scheduling agreements to APO.
When we create the integration model, it shows the selected scheduling agreements and vendors. On activating the integration model in CFM2 or CFM3, we do not get any error.
But when we check in APO, we do not see any scheduling agreements.
Can any one tell us what could be problem or where should we check to identify the issue ?
    Best Regards
    Mitesh

    Hi Mitesh,
Did you try deleting all the integration models in CFM7 and trying again ? You could also try deleting the blocked queues in SMQ1.
