Problem playback in premiere

First, sorry for my english.
I've got a problem when i playback any video in the timeline . The head playback skips back one frame and then returns to his position playing correctly. It's a jump back of one frame and then returns and playback normally.
My gpu is Quadro FX 4500, i7, 6Gb RAM.

Anytime I am getting too far ahead, then let me know and we can work together on putting the essentials together for this troubleshooting.
From your screenshot, you have a Windows 7 apparently 64 bit computer, lots of RAM. That computer would be great for Premiere Elements 11 Windows.
But Premiere Elements 8 is only a 32 bit application running in the 32 bit compatibility mode of your 64 bit system. So all that RAM is excessive in a 32 bit system with its limitation of max supported installed RAM being 4 GB (of which 3 GB or less of that are available).
So, the freezing and such could be explained by limited resources depending how much you have in the project when the freezing occurs and what formats are involved - like AVCHD. The burner not being recognized by Premiere Elements is probably another matter.
Let us start here....another place where you could be getting hit on the resource side of things....
1. Background Rendering and AutoAnalzyer features in version 8 are notorious for grabbing system resources. If you have them enabled, that could account for much of the program freezing. So, please make sure they are not selected.
a. Background Rendering. In the Premiere Elements 8 workspace, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/General, and make sure there is no check mark next to Background Rendering option.
b. AutoAnalzyer. In the Premiere Elements workspace, click on the Organizer tab in the row below the selected Organize header in order to open the Elements Organizer. In the Elements Organizer workspace, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/AutoAnalyzer Options and uncheck all the option under that.
To get back to the Premiere Elements workspace from the Elements Organizer workspace, in the Elements Organizer workspace go to File Menu/Exit.
For most of us, Premiere Elements 8 was unusable without the 8.0.1 Update. Did you install that? Have you ever worked successfully with your Premiere Elements 8 on the computer where it is now? And, was that with or without the 8.0.1 Update?
Let us stop here and see how we are doing.
Lots of other factors to get into including the burner recognition one.

No video playback in premiere CS6 trial

Hi,
I am trying to use the Adobe Premiere CS6 trial on my laptop but I can't get the video playback to display at all. There is audio playback, just no video. I can get a paused frame to show if I double-click on the playback area but pressing play does not make the video play, only the audio. Stopping the playback displays the latest current frame again.
My laptop's specs are as follows:
Toshiba notebook
Intel i7 2.40GHz
8gb RAM
500+ gb free space
Windows 8 64
Latest Intel display drivers installed
The video files I am importing in my sequence are .mov files, 1920x1088 @ 23 FPS.
Any help will be appreciated!

Jumpy playback within premiere cc

My Premiere Pro cc won't play video clips within the program without jumping, this makes it difficult to edit.
I have a relatively new mac (late 2013, 2GHz, i7, 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3).
I import my videos by inserting the SDHC card and copying the AVCHD file to my desktop.
I open the clips within Premiere Pro cc by selecting that desktop file from the Media Browser.
Things I've tried:
My desktop only has 3 folders on it.
I've closed out all other programs.
I try to playback my clips at 1/2, and 1/4 the quality
I've tried using a new SD card.
No difference.
The problem must be Premiere Pro CC because I can open the clips just fine on quicktime or iMovie, but not Premiere. Why?

Please check the playback settings on your preferences panel and choose the right video and audio devices.

Probleme Playback CS4 : slowdown / stock every seconds

Hi everybody,
So here is the problem: the playback in Premiere Pro CS4 stock every seconds. It's more like one image repeat itself every 1 or 2 seconds or something.
I first install, everything works. I did a upgrade for my graphic cards: asus HD 5750 Formula 1GB. After that, no enjoying Premiere Pro for me anymore.
I change the graphic card for a Asus ENGTX470. I know than Adobe prefer NVidia than ATI.
I reinstall everything (windows, codec, Adobe Master Pack CS4).
And it works fine again but still this problem of playback.
Here is the PC:
- I7 930 @ 3,19Ghz
- 6 GB GSkill DDR3
- MB asus rampage 2 extreme
- GC Asus ENGTX470
- HDD SATA 320 for windows
- HDD SATA 5oo for Adobe alone
- HDD SATA 320 for Data
- HDD SATA 500 for Data
- Silver Stone 700W
- Screen 1: Fugitsu 25"
- Screen 2: LG HD 22" by HDMI
The OS is windows 7 Ultimate 64bits with upgrade.
Quick Time Pro 7. VLC, etc... all the last upgrade one.
I read than ATI may cause problem with Adobe. Maybe some "rest" of this D#*@?! ATI driver is the problem here.
Should I reinstall windows again by format the disk... ?
How come everything works, including rendering 3D HD by 3DS Max 2011 and a simple playback the PC can not do it ?!
I know than some post talk about that already but it didn't fix my problem anyway.
Please some help, it's very annoying!!! It's years now I work with adobe, never have this problem. And now I work with a brand new super PC, and it doesn't work: I don't understand.

Hi Bill,
The files come from mustly After Effect or 3DS Max.
It's HD, 1280x720, 25 i/s. Quick Time export, Codec Animation.
I use to do that for the last couple of year, a lot more last year and never have problems.
I precise still, juste in case, than all the rest of CS4 works fine. I am even surprise how fast and precise is Photoshop with the HD screen and the wacom tablet. So Open GL do is job pretty good. Just the playback in Premiere repeat one image every one seconde around.
But it look like the probleme is deeper actually !!!
It's impossible for me to do a "Clean Install".
After boot on the windows 7 ultimate x64 DVD, it load the first files from windows (black screen with white loading).
And stock with the windows background. No pop up with install windows now or anything...
The W7 DVD work no problem if read after boot.
I try many way untill format one HDD and make it boot with just this one alone like "first install" : same result.
I think now than the probleme come from this mustly.
No clean install so the rest from the old install who put the mess stay also, something like that.
I'm trying to check online how to fix that and contact microsoft directly.
I would like the simple solution: go to the seller as customer care. But I live in 3rd World Country, and I would like don't go in another country to reinstall cleanly windows!!!

Adobe Premiere Elements 11 (BOX)
After adding any the timeline material ( pictures or music or video) , 2-3 seconds hanging.
Then closes without any notification.
This program gave me a friend, not for need. He used it to me.
By not knowing at first I installed a Pr, and then my friend temporarily deactivate the license .
In the "Help" menu is available only " Deactivate" ...
It is a problem with the activation or something else?

Problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 10 : error DW046

Dear community members,
I have bought Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and installed it from the DVDs on my MAC OSX10.5.8 on december 27, 2013
When creating a new project , I get the following message :
following a serious error, Premiere Elements 10 must stop
Then I click OK and I get a new message :
The Premiere 10 application has closed suddenly after having been rebooted
Then I end up to the error report window. I have sent the error report to Apple ( I can send it to you if you want)
I have also got the following error message :
DW046 : following conflicting process were running, block : dynamiclinkmanager
Notice : it seems this problem is occuring since I underwent a power failure while working on a project. When I want to open an existing project I get the following message :
it seems that Premiere Elements has closed in an unexpected way during the last session. Do you want to open the previous project?
When I say YES, I save it and it comes back to the welcome menu and I cannot see this project.
I have tried to deinstall and reinstall Premiere 10 : this is impossible since I am required to deactivate dynamiclinkmanager that I cannot find.
Notice that Adobe AIR is unable to find a solution whilst it recognizes there is a problem.

When you get the message
it seems that Premiere Elements has closed in an unexpected way during the last session. Do you want to open the previous project?
Do you go to the last AutoSave to open that or do you go to the save location of the project file (project.prel) to open that file?
Are you getting message to close the dynamiclinkmanager so that you can move forward?

Problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 12 using Scary Halloween template

I'm having a problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 12 using Scary Halloween template under Menu Theme. My problem is the red line is default to Scenes. I would like it to default to Play. How can I do that? Is it a bug?

No bug. Just the way the .psd for the Scary Halloween template was put together.
You are going to have to get into the .psd for the Scary Halloween template and rearrange the
Layer Sets. Do you know how to do that? If not, I will give you very specific instructions on how to
do that.
You want the order of the Layer Sets to look like
That is what worked for me just now to get the disc menu Preview to open to the main
menu with the red highlight under Play.

Problem with Adobe Premiere pro cs3 3.0

Hello there! I have this odd new problem in adobe premiere cs3 that i havent encountered before and ive tried to solve it but cant =/
If i import a picture into the project it lies there like it should ready to be dragged onto the timeline, the problem is the preview of the picture and the screen when i drag it into the timeline is black.. i cannot get the picture to appear as it just keeps being black, ive tried diff sizes of pictures, the only pictures that ive found that works so far are the windows example ones..
Answers Asap are appriciated, its a wedding movie and has to be done by tommorow night..

Can you download and install G-SPOT and run those problem files through it. Tell us what G-Spot tells you. That article, that John T. linked to, should have some details on G-Spot, IIRC.
It is likely that the CODEC is not one that is properly installed, or one that PrPro can use to edit. The good things about VLC Player is that it's free, good and carries most of its own CODEC's. The bad thing is that playing an AV file is not the same as editing that same file, and so a test in VLC will only tell you so much.
This ARTICLE will give you some background on CODEC's.

Laptop with Nvidia gt750m. Sufficient for real time playback in Premiere CS6?

I'm on the verge of buying a new laptop with the following specs:
i7 4700MQ
16GB RAM @ 1600 mhz
1TB 7200 rpm drive
120 GB SSD
Nvidia GT750m GPU
15.6 inch IPS display
I'm sure these specs will be more than sufficient for editing and grading Full HD DSLR clips in Premiere CS6. The only bottleneck in this system might be the GPU, which isn't all that great and has only GDDR3 memory.
Now I'm not planning to do any gaming on it, so I'm just wondering if this graphics card will be sufficient for realtime playback in Premiere after applying the hardware accelerated effects.
This is done solely by the GPU right? This card should be supported for hardware acceleration, but will it be powerful enough?
Unfortunately, there is no other setup possible in this price range that has a better GPU and still has a IPS screen.
Anyone has any experience with this card and the Mercury playback engine?

Problem importing adobe premiere project into After effects CS6

I've been working in Adobe's premiere and after effects for quite a few years now and this problem is new to me.
I'm working on a project in After Effects CS6 and want to import a premiere pro project into After Effects. I go -> File -> import -> adobe premiere project
Select project
Select sequence
Now After Effects CS6 imports all files from the premiere pro project like before in CS5, but now also imports the videofiles as sequences at the root in my project panel and messes everything up. Before it usually imported nice and tidy with the same folder structure as the premiere pro project would have.
But that isn't the main problem. When i open the sequence i wanted to import and work on, some clips have been shortened down to 1 FRAME LONG at the end. These clips have a 500% speed in premiere pro, but this has never been a problem before, after effects has always before been able to translate the speed variations in clips from premiere -> after effects.
The adobe premiere project that was imported is a 60 sec promo with various clips in various formats (Gopro h264, dv pal quicktime etc). Footage not exceeding the fair amount that after effects should handle. 15-20 videfiles at 30 sec each.
I've never had this problem before with premiere <-> after effects.
Anyone?

I just found the solution!
In my adobe premiere project that i was trying to import, some of the clips were "right clicked" and applied "Scale to frame size"
Every videoclip that had "scale to frame size" in my adobe premiere pro sequence would import as its own composition in After Effects rather than just a videofile, and some of the clips would be trimmed down to be invisible.
So if you have any problem with a clip not importing correctly into a sequence in after effects, check to make sure "scale to frame size" is not applied to the clip in premiere pro.
I removed the scale to frame size in the premiere project and now everything imports fine into after effects.

I have no video playback in Premiere

Hi There,
I'm without any video playback in Premiere and Speed Grade (Though have never used this program before). I am a creative cloud member and downloaded these programs and had no playback or image in any Adobe program, so update GPU drivers and by searching through the forums learned that I had to disable CUDA/Mercury Pl. After much agony I finally got Premiere to work and edited a piece. Though have come back about 2 weeks later and cant get any playback again??? Though turning the Mercury Playback engine to software only etc. doesn't seem to be working.
I'm quite enjoying paying my membership fees without being able to use the programs and cant get any response from trying to chat with Adobe help.
System Specs:
Windows 8 (64 Bit)
Nvidia Geoforce GTX 660M
16GB of RAM
Two SSD HD's
I7-3740QM Processor
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Problem to download premiere element

I have a problem with my Premiere element version. It was working well but now that I had to refresh my PC, when I try to download it again, I receive a message saying that the version is not able to install with Windows 7. I have Windows 8... So I don't understand.

What version of Premiere Elements do you have?
Is your Windows 8 32 bit or 64 bit?
Are you downloading installation files from Adobe? When you downloaded these files from Adobe the first time , if you did, to what computer operating system were they downloaded Windows 7 64 bit or Windows 8 64 bit?
If you are downloading installation files from Adobe, you need two files. One will a .exe file extension and the other with a .7z file extension.
The important matter is that these file must be for the 32 bit or 64 bit for whatever computer operating system that you are using.
Look at the names of the files that you are downloading. If either has a 32 in them and you have a 64 bit computer, then you have the wrong files.
Go back and download the correct ones for 64 bit.
Please review and consider and then let us know the outcome. And, please give us more details if necessary to understand fully your situation.
