Problem playing some .wmv video clips in my C7..
Hello dear friends;
I just bought my new Nokia C7 mobile, everything is fantastic, i like this delightful device.. it has great many new features.. but i couldn't play some .wmv video clips.
I'm just wondering if there is a good media player need to install in mobile for playing this kind of format video clips.
thanks..
I don't know if CorePlayer has released a version for the C7 but this worked very good.
Another option is to connect the phone to PC and use Windows Media Center or WMP11 or later to SYNC the video to the C7 this should convert the video before tranferring and may solve the problem.
Otherwise you may need to convert the video from WMV to MPEG-4 or other format that's supported by the C7.
640K Should be enough for everybody

Gstreamer fails to play *some* .mp4 videos
Gstreamer is no longer able to play *some* .mp4 videos. Just until recently
(possibly update) that worked fine for me. I will appretiate any help with resolving this problem.
Videos concerning were downloaded from Youtube via the Firefox DownloadHelper,
so I suspect some of them to use some non-standard format feature. Also
ffmpeg-ing videos to other or same format works and converted videos can be
played by Gstreamer without problems.
This is the only download video I was able to confirm Gstreamer can still play:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0UbcngpDkk
It fails for almost every other, e.g.:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0ffIJ7ZO4U
Gstreamer output:
$ gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location=blue.mp4 ! decodebin2 name=dec ! queue !
ffmpegcolorspace ! autovideosink
New clock: GstSystemClock
Received end of stream from „pipeline0“.
Execution ended after 181781 ns.

My E71 doesn't play any mp4 video clip
hey guys, my E71 doesn't play any mp4 video clip.. Someone tell me what should i do? Plz guys... I'm waiting 4 ur reply.
According to the Multimedia section at http://www.developer.nokia.com/Devices/Device_specifications/E71/ , your phone should support some mp4's. But the solution is to get a better video player. There is always Coreplayer, which is supposed to be very good, but which I have never used, and is not free. A poster here /t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/Nokia-E5-viewing-videos/td-p/1160745 recently recommended the free Divx player. Worth a try.

How to play a GP video clip on a PC
I cant play a GP video clip sent to me on my pc what download do i need and where can i get them
With "GP video clip" are you referring to the .3gp files that phone cameras usually save videos as?
If so, the Nokia PC Suite comes with a "View multimedia" app that can show them on Windows:
http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
Apple's QuickTime player can also show the videos (on a PC running Windows or a Mac).
I should think that the latest RealPlayer can do it on PC's, too. -
I am trying to import/play MPEG-4 video clips that I took from a new Sony HDD video camera. The clips play fine on any PC and are saved on an external hard drive. When I connect the external hard drive to my MacBook Pro I click on the icon and it says it can not play because it is not a movie file (even though it is a movie file). It will not open in the Finder or iMovie. What should I do?
There are millions of different ways that video is encoded. To decode these, you may need the appropriate "codec"
First thing I'd suggest is trying Perian
www.perian.org
This has lots of the encoding for different video types. Then try the video again.
Alternatively, Sony might be using another codec - although I'd be surprised if they used anything too odd. You could also try the DivX codec - but it may conflict with the one in Perian so I'd try that one first.
Best of luck -
i cant play some online videos. why? is there anyways to play them, i cant play some online videos. why? is there anyways to play them, i cant play some online videos. why? is there anyways to play them?
What error messages are you getting? The videos are likely created with Flash, or another plug-in, which can't be played on the iPad.

IPad2 won't play some embedded videos
For some strange reason iPad (iOS6.1) is no longer playing some embedded videos.
The symptoms are, that where the video has been embedded in a Forum post the screen is completely blank. There is no frame where the video should be, nothing!
The only way I can watch the video is the "quote" the post, copy the link into a browser, either Safari or Chrome and then it plays perfectly.
Has anybody any clue as to why this is happening?
Is it an issue iPad has with the way that the video has been embedded?
Help appreciated.Hi,
I had the same issue.
After resetting the network settings everything works fine again.
YouTube App and the videos you posted above didn't play.
After resetting, they are playable.
Try it out.
Best regards,

I have a 64 bit pc but Flash player and plugin container seem to be 32 bit. Is this relevant ?
The CPU goes up to 60% for just these two processes within about 3 minutes of streaming some videos. The system effectively dies until I end one of the processes with task manager.
An example of a video which displays this issue is http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2013/8/31/the-mini-0801-tiny-1080p-gps-car-camera-with-an-lcd-screen.html
Firefox plays the BBC Iplayer videos with no problems but files like the Techmoan above make the CPU go wild and stop the PC within about 3 minutes.
Opera 20 plays the Techmoan video all the way through with no problems.
This points to the problem being in Firefox.
I think that I have the latest Adobe Flash player and the latest Firefox.Hey,
Please try to disable hardware acceleration. Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
# Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
# Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
# Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
# Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know. -

How do I get Quicktime to play a short video clip emailed to me?
My daughter emailed me a video clip of our grandson and told me to use Quicktime to view it. I went to Apple Downloads and got the older version of Quicktime required by my Tiger OS. My daughter also has Mac OS 10.4.11. I downloaded the video clip from my daughter's email but it shows up in ITunes and will not play. I even tried opening my Quicktime version before opening the video file, but no go.
It may be that the video is in Microsoft Media Player format:

ITunes not playing some music videos
My iTunes (ver. 10.1) will play the audio for some music videos but not the video. They are videos that were downloaded via the iTunes Store in the past and all but 2 are doing this and they are all the same format. No, I'm not using AirTunes! And I haven't exceeded my "authorizations" limit. I'm just trying to play the videos on my laptop with regular speakers. TV Shows and short films that I have work fine, and so do some videos that I got from outside of the Store. I tried opening them in Quicktime and it does the exact same thing, audio but no video. I tried repairing permissions and nothing changed. I even went back into my Time Machine and when I did that the files wouldn't work from there either, even though I know they worked a year ago! At first, it showed the file thumbnail, but when I clicked on it the thumbnail went gray. Any ideas what the heck is going on here???
Alright! Looks like the latest update to iTunes actually fixed my problem!
I noticed in the update notes that it was supposed to address certain problems with the graphics card (Nvidia 9400 and 9600) not playing certain video files correctly. I thought it was worth a try, so after I updated I played the videos that previously were not working and voila! They work now!
For those of you who had a similar problem I would try it with the iTunes 10.1.1 (4) update and see if they work. Otherwise, I guess you've got a different problem. Good luck! -
I just updated to iMovie 11. I want the final music to play beyond the last video clip and fade out. How do I do this? Do I need to import a black screen?
Yes, I've done this, but I can't figure out how to get the audio to fade. I think I need to explain further. This is really a simple movie made from multiple photo stills from my son's school. There are cross fade transition betwee the stills, and some titiles that cross fade too. So there is not actual video. Thus everything shows only in the project library, where I dragged in the photo stills to import them. There is nothing in the event (or is in the clip) window in the bottom. I can't figure out how to get the volume lines to show for the audio clip in the project library as they did in the old version of iMovie so I could drag them up or down.

I made menu but it plays the first video clip and no autostart
Hi all,
I created a dvd today with a menu, but instead of starting at the menu and letting you choose it automatically plays the first clip when you play the dvd. And when I put the dvd in a dvd player it doesn't automatically play the dvd menu or anything until I hit play and when I hit play it plays the first clip.
So two questions:
First how do I make the dvd play the menu when I put it in a dvd player instead of the first video clip?
Second question how do I make the dvd play automatically the dvd menu instead of the first clip when I put it in the dvd player instead of it having me press play for it to start?Do you by any chance know where that would be located? I think it actually told me that I didn't have anything selected but I don't even know where on the program I go to change it. Do you know which menu item it would be under? I don't have the program with me so I'll have to do it tomorrow but either way thanks I just want to have it done bye tomorrow morning since I'll have to hand it in during the afternoon.
