Problem posting pictures on Facebook?

After upgrading to Lion I found I could no longer upload photos to Facebook from my iMac. I am brought to what I think is the Finder dropdown menu and cannot maneuver anywhere from there to find and choose the photo I want to post. I have run Lion Cache Cleaner with its optimizing and maintenance programs to no avail. This posting I was always able to do readily with Snow Leopard. Any ideas???

Upgrade to 10.7.3. Remove the cache cleaner. It is more trouble than it is worth, and causes more problems than it is worth. Backup your data first, and then run the 10.7.3 combo update, then the Flashback patch:

Cache cleaners are typically last resort troubleshooting measures and not "maintenance." Mac OS X primarily only needs backing up as regular tasks. Everything else is extra and not essential unless applications become incompatible.

ok finally got the problem solved. Hopefully this will help other people experiencing this problem.
First, go Settings, then select Phone. Under "My number" it should say your current number. If it doesn't (as it didn't in my case) call sprint (dial *2 on your phone). Tell the sprint agent you would like your Name assigned to your number.
In my case, I had been added to an existing family plan. I was assigned a random new cell phone number, but then later changed it to my old existing phone number from AT&T. So if you are like me and brought your old cell phone number with you when you switched to Sprint, then this may be the issue.
When I was experiencing the problem with my pictures not sending, the wrong phone number was showing as my number on the phone (even though people could call and text me using my current number).

Problem posting photos to Facebook Pages. Help!

Is anyone else having a problem posting photos to Facebook Pages? I have been doing so on a daily basis for a few years now. Yesterday, I was unable to post to a Facebook Page (not personal accounts).
Now, when I attempt to create a Published Collection for Facebook, I no longer have the option to select an existing Facebook Page Album.
Has something changed? Many thanks in advance for your feedback!

hi again.. in January it was a facebook problem.. there were no lightroom updates.. same now.. so you can go to facebook and fill in that form That Paul Diming talks about in a previous post
I have reported this problem to Facebook using their own problem reporting mechanism.
It would help if everyone who is having this issue should do the same. Here is the process:
1. Click on the pull down on the far upper right of the screen.
2. Click "Report a Problem"
3. Click "Something Isn't Working"
4. Select Pages on the pull down.
5. Explain the problem.
6. Upload a screen image. I captured an image of trying to create a new published collection with the pull down showing no Page Albums listed.
It might help for Facebook to know that it isn't just me having the problem.

Wont let me post pictures on Facebook and overheating!!

I have had this phone for a few weeks now and I love it however a few issues have started creeping up,
Firstly I wanted to post some pictures on facebook, I attached them to a post but when I clicked 'post' it just totally came out of the app so I thought I may have done it too quickly not allowing them to upload properly onto the tag so I tried again and left it a good 5 minutes but again when I clicked 'post' it came out of the app. So I tried a 3rd time (this time with only 1 picture - before this i was trying to upload 3) and again would not let me and just totally came out of Facebook. I resulted in emailing them to myself and uploading them by my laptop!!
Secondly I charged my phone all night last night and it was full this morning before coming to work, around dinner time my phone had dropped right down to about 25% (id only txt a few times) and it was roasting so I decided to take my case off it to find my blue case has now stained my white battery cover, within 20 mins my phone was still roasting but the phone has completely turned off as my battery had gone. I googled to see if I could find a replacement back cover but no nothing!!! Really frustrated as my battery usually lasts around 2 days.
Can someone help me or give me some advice

I post pictures from my z10 daily on facebook. I would uninstall it from MyWorld and re-install it. The App might have been currupted at some point. Actually facebook needs to get their app property programmed for z10.. A lot of people have complained about the facebook app and facebook needs to utilize the app better with the z10.
For charging your phone, make sure you use the charger and the cable that came with your z10. Some of the old Blackbery Cables and chargers don't work, they actually drain your battery. There is a company who has replacement OEM covers , but currently they are out of stock.. I have the white z10 and I also want to replace the back cover with a black one..To create a diffrent look. I spoke to crackberry and they will also be ordering z10 back covers in the near future as a lot of people who want to swap covers to give it the oreo look.

I e-mailed it to that address, and I then receive a confirmation code back, but then went back to my FB profile and didn't see any pics uploaded. Then when I went back to the Facebook Mobile Section, and put that confirmation code I got after sending the photos via that address, then it showed up.

Problem posting photos to facebook from Organizer

I have always exported photos from Organizer and then posted those .jpg files on Facebook however, this has suddenly stopped working. I am still exporting the same way to a .jpg file but Facebook now tells me that it can't read the file. I have confirmed that the files are under 4mg and they look normal in Finder. Nothing has changed on my computer and I'm baffled as to why this has happened.
Please advise on how to fix this problem!

Thank you. I'm not sure how to capture a screen shot but the error is "Can't read Files. Your photos need to be less than 4MG and saved as JPG, PNG, GIF or TIFF files"
My file was exported as a .jpg and was 1.2 MB but I still got this error.
I tried your suggestion listed above and restarted but when trying again, got the same error.
I tried to export the file as a TIFF and it seems to work fine. This seems to have something to do with the process of exporting to JPG. I have been using the same workflow for a year and I'm not sure why it stopped working.

Problems saving pictures from Facebook

I recently downloaded the IOS 6 onto my iphone 4. I now cannot save pictures from the Live feed on Facebook like I use too. I can save pictures from safari and take screen shots still though. My coworker has a iphone 4s and she does not seem to have that problem. Hopefully someone else is experiencing this problem and can help me out. I tried deleting FB app and reinstalling, but it still does not work. Thank you for your time.

I am having the same problem. Facebook asked me to allow access to my photos and I accidently declined it. Now I cannot change the settings anymore. I checked and there is no Photo option in the privacy settings. How did you guys manage to solve the problem? Thanks!

The uploader is probably using Java - you can upgrade this from [http://www.java.com] . Just install the latest version from here, 6 update 20, and it will replace the older version you have.

None of any of the pictures on Facebook can be opened and seen on the website, I have absolutely no problem on Safari, but I would much rather use Firefox..What the heck is going on????

I agree the phones are supposed to come with the battery and battery door missing that is policy of every wireless company. The problem is that the rep that you spoke with wasn't being as thorough as they could have been to ensure that you got complete equipment, is was a processing error from the first representative. Most of the information for exchanging a phone is auto completed by the computers as well so when the rep processes the exchange they don't have any say so as to what is actually in the shipping box so being that you didn't activate the droid 3 on your account when you called in about the missing battery and complained the computer only recognized the droid x because that probably what you had activated on your account, so that's why the second replacement was droid x equipment and not droid 3
