Problem printing MAC-PC for a multifunction printer Canon i-SENSYS MF4018

In my office, installed a network of Macbook 466 (Mac OS X 10.6.2) and PC (WinXP SP3). We bought a new multifunction printer Canon i-SENSYS MF4018(MF4010). By PC connected multifunctional printer MF4018 (model has only a USB port).
On the PC works well. My MAC is the printer on the network, but at the beginning of printing an error: Canon UFR II Printer Driver An error occurred.: -50. Driver downloaded on the official web-site Canon - CANONUFRIIV2.00 EN.dmg.
Please, help set up a complete operation of the printer in my office from the MAC.
How to make it possible to print from MAC without any errors?

I just purchased a canon isense mf4018 for our office. We have a mac mini os x 1.5.8 and a pc windows xp sp3. we are experiencing a printing problem from the mini. we aren't using a network. we just swap the usb cable between computers when printing is needed. The error that occurs is 'load correct paper MP tray: ltr; cancel: sys. monitor.' This looks like it only happens when we print from Word for Mac when printing more than one copy of the document. Excel printed multiple copies fine. If i go to sys monitor and print status, I find the word doc option to cancel or continue print. I choose yes to cancel and it prints another copy of the doc. the error still exists. I go through that routine until all copies have been printed. Scanning doesn't work. • USB to Airport Express, or itself be wireless printer--(bluetooth seems to not have the range I need: 35-60 feet)

I bought a Canon PIXMA MP780 only to discover that it is incompatible with Airport Express! The PIXMA MP750 seems an option (for printing only--Airport seems not to work with Scanning). But the 750 seems to be all but unavailable anymore.
I am considering upgrading from my old iBook G3 600mHz to a PowerBook G4, but this shouldn't make much difference regarding which printer to buy.
Any help? What printers have worked well for you?

Obviously I would prefer to be able to use scanning over the wireless, but I am content to plug it in directly as needed, especially if there were a second USB port on the printer.
Do you know this Brother machine you suggest? Do you recommend it? Does it have all the features I mention above?
Do you know the Canon MP750? I am told it does print through Express.

HT1338 problems with Mac Book 10.7.5 printing wirelessly with HP Photosmart 6510e. I must turn off then turn back on for Mac to print.

HP Photosmart prints with PC, Droid phone but will only print wirelessly with MacBook OX 10.7.5 if I turn off printer and turn it back on. HP has tried, Belkin (router) has opened all ports, the problem persists.

That is great, but I recommend channel 11 instead of 10.

Still problems downloading software for hp B209a printer on windows 8.1

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software per online instructions and finally got the Box that allowed me to install. And, of course, I got the message "System cannot find file specified" which kept me from installing. I followed the instructions on line for that issue. Typed %windir% in search box, but all that came up were several websites discussing it - nothing on the computer itself. I went to the windows folder and searched for hpoins and hpwins files, but nothing showed up. As a desperation move, I searched windows files for .dat files and reviewed all of them - several hpxxxxx(x being addl letters and or numbers) but no hpoins or hpwins files. So where do I go from here??? I've uninstalled my latest download again and waiting for an answer.

Sorry to hear about the issues installing thE B209a on you Windows 8.1. I have a suggestion for you to try, what is the Anti-Virus software installed on the computer?
In recent attempts to resolve this issue I have found that McAfee blocks the printer software installer. I would suggest disabling this, if installed, or any other Anti-Virus software and try installing.

Frankly you would be better off advising them to simply use the printer(s) available on campus or going to Fedex/Kinko's or similar places. The cost of ink replacements is ridiculous and it's highly unlikely they actually need a printer.

Adobe form is printing wrong data for the first print attempt

For eg., when i am giving a print for the first attempt, it was printing the form with wrong data in form fields and whereas when i tried to print it for the second time, then it is printing properly with right information.

Can't Print from Windows Vista Notebook to Printer installed in Mac Mini

I have a home network that is connected to the internet by DSL. My Printer Xerox Phaser 3115 is installed to the Mac Mini.
From my Vista Notebook, I can see the printer shared by my Macmini. However, I can't print coz the printer says "access denied". I installed this Bonjour for Windows in order to print but it says "No Bonjour Printers are available".

On Windows, after either method of setup, change the driver (on PC) to Apple Color LaserWriter. Apple print queues expect postscript as input.
If this is unsatisfactory, you can create a RAW queue on the Mac (only for sharing the printer, because it will have no driver associated):

HP’s current plan is for Windows 8 compatible printers to be available when the new operating system is released to the public. HP is working with Microsoft to include drivers in the Windows 8 operating system for HP printers introduced in recent years.
There may be a variety of sources for a printer driver/solution for your HP printer on a computer running Windows 8 Release Preview.
inOS:
An in-Operating System (inOS) driver is a basic driver that is included within the operating system. You do not need to download or install any software from HP. Windows 8 Relase Preview contains several inOS drivers. If an inOS driver is available for your printer, you will have at least basic print capability with USB and Network and basic scan capability with USB only (if your printer supports scanning).
Windows Update:
There might be a more functional or more up-to-date driver available for your printer through Microsoft Windows Update. If Windows Update is enabled, then the Windows Update process activates automatically when you connect (USB and Network connections) the printer to the computer. It searches online for the most recent print driver on the Windows Update site. If the online driver is more functional than the currently installed driver in Windows 8, the computer downloads and installs this driver.

Although HP does not formally support any pre-release versions of Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 8 Release Preview, we may supply some full functionality drivers* prior to the official release of Windows 8. MAC address for HP PRO CP1525NW

I want to enforce MAC filtering in my router.The OS is win7 home pro 64 bit.
How do I find the MAC address for my CP1525nw printer? It is not on the label, and the router reports only the name of the printer.

If you want to continue, print a self test from the front of the printer: Reports > Config Report. It will be listed as the Hardware address.

Print problem in Microsoft word for Mac

So I try to print my file, but every time I print my file, there will be one additional page that contains the print job information (file name, time printed etc). They don't ask me whether I want to print this or not but it's just directly printed on the next page of my print job.
This is really annoying since it waste another paper and ink of course, can I disable this annoying feature?
Since I got the wrong packet of ms.word with me (I got it in French when I need English), if you can help me to solve this problem, would you mind to tell me step-by-step menu really clearly ?
So that after that I can just translate it via google translator.

What is the best multifunction printer for Mac?

I'm currently trying to choose a great multifunction printer for our small office and I need advice on what brands are "fully" compatible with Mac OSX 10.4 and higher. I would like to know what your experiences are with certain brands and models.
In my particular situation I have a list of requirements in order of importance:
1. fully compatible with the Mac OSX 10.4 (and higher) operating system.
2. affordable (that's very subjective but for me that would mean something below US$600)
3. monochromatic laser printing
4. network printing: LAN or wifi (wifi preferable? are there disadvantages?)
5. duplex printing
6. duplex copying
7. +/- 30 ppm or cpm
8. scan to ftp or to hard disk (without the need for additional software preferable)
9. network scanning
10. toner and drum in one
11. faxing
Please also state what you found great with your machine.
Looking forward to reading your opinions.

I don't have a home office - nor do I have any experience in printers the way some reviewers do. When it comes to printing, all I care is that it actually prints and doesn't jam.
Printers are so inexpensive these days and my old printer was a great Cannon that did it's job - cost about 80 bucks when I purchased. Then I bought an iPad and tried ALL the free printing apps - and even paid for an app that swore it would work with any printer. NOPE.
So, when this printer came up to test - I jumped on it! WOW. Not only is it so easy to set up, even I can do it (didn't even need the disk). It prints anywhere from my iPad and my iPhone. I also love the double sided printing and never realized how much double siding printing I actually do. It's great for long recipes. The photo aspect of it is sharp and clear. I LOVE The scanner and though I rarely use a fax - it's nice to know it's available so I don't have to drive to my local media store. For the price - it's amazing.
It's also super fast compared to my Cannon and super quiet.
I've started recommending this to my friends - even though they may not do much printing - it's amazing how much you'll start printing once you have this super hero. Kind of like my Kindle - I read way more books now than I did when reading hard/paper backs!!!.

Downloaded latest Reader for Mac and have had wireless printer problems. Either can not printer or it is extremely slow.

I downloaded the latest Adobe Reader for my Mach and I have a wireless Canon Printer. I have not had any problems with my printer until now. It will either not print or print really slow. Can not print any pdf files at all. Do I need to uninstall it or is there a fix?

Uninstall Reader. Is your printing back to normal? What version of Reader did you install under what OS?

Wireless printing - problem with MAC integration

Hi everybody.
Just bought a Macbook pro and cannot get it to recognize my printer.
Devices within network:
- Belkin WLAN Router
- HP Laserjet CM1312 multifunctional printer - with HP 2101nw wireless G (printing and even scanning works fine wireless!)
- Acer Notebook with XP Home (used to set up the 2101 wireless)
- Acer Netbook with XP Home (added later to network, no problem with printing, setup took 5 min)
Antivirus software: Avira Premium Security Suite on both XP's
WPA-PSK encryption, no mac filtering.
The Macbook can access internet, but nothing happens when I try to print. I wanted to stop the hassle that Windows is causing occasionally. Frustrating experience with the Mac so far.

I have removed the printer, and added again - a couple of times. I was not sure what protocol to chose (LPD, IPP, Socket).
I took your advice and tried, but with the right click (ctrl pressed), nothing happens. The normal window for the print queue opens, and I cannot select anything like "Reset Printing System".
This does not work either, no Printer with "Bonjour" is offered for selection:
"Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer with Bonjour next to it, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it."
When I select the plus sign, I can only make settings in the "IP" area. Standard, Fax and Windows have nothing to select or to put in. "IP" offers Protocol to select and Address to fill in. I put in 192.168.2.6 and tried the different protocols. "Print with" offers generic PostScript printer, Generic PCL Laser printer, "other" and printer software - thats where I selected the driver for the cm1312
Can you tell what I did wrong? Thanks for trying
