Problem processing Headers

I'm having difficulty processing headers with a Web Service implemented as an EJB. I have managed to process headers with a Web Service implemented as a Java class with no problems.
Is the HeaderCallback interface supported on EJB style Web Services?

Hi, I have a similar issue I was able to get callback on a java class using StatelessJavaRpcWebService, however I cant get it working for an EJB 2.0 SSB with SessionBeanWebService.
I have tried combinations of:
- implementing HeaderCallback on the Bean
- in the RemoteInterface (it doesn't like it because the method doesn't throw RemoteException, and maybe a problem that Header is not serializable)
- creating a local interface for the callback

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.

What's the Point of the 'Report a Problem' Process?

I tried out the 'report a problem' process for the first time, as I bought an app that basically didn't do anything it was supposed to.
I tried to contact the app support via the link in iTunes, got nowhere, so I tried the recommended 'report a problem' process.
This also was a complete waste of time, as all it does is generate a message from Apple saying 'we have noted your comment but we have no control over apps. Please seek advice through the support link in the app page in iTunes' or words to that effect.
Complete waste of time and going round in circles.
So, are we saying that, if the app support is ignoring any requests for a refund and Apple obviously don't want to know, there is no way to get any money back on apps that just don't do what they are supposed to?

Sorry Ian, but Apple did not tell me that. I have never asked for a refund, because there is no apparent mechanism for doing so.
I cannot see anything in the link you provided that is relevant to the issue in question.
I am struggling to see why the situation with buying an app that is 'unfit for purpose' from the App Store is any different if I buy a pair of Levis from the Jeans Store that is 'unfit for purpose' because there is a leg missing.
The shop will not wash their hands of it, and tell me to go and sue the manufacturing factory whose responsibility it is. They would give me a refund, as it is them that I have a contract with and not the manufacturers.
That is basic Consumer Law - certainly in the UK.
Someone who purchases from the App Store is buying from Apple, not the developer, and it is Apple that the consumer has the contract with. Simple as that.
Even if what you were saying was correct, what mechanism is there for devs to give refunds? Have you tried to get any support for apps in the App Store? My experience is that most of the time, it is zero. Now, of course, we all say, 'oh well, it was only a pound or so', and move on, but it still begs the question.

HP 6100 printing problem: process pdftopdf consumes huge amounts of RAM

I did some remote troubleshooting for my uncle's Mac yesterday who had a problem with his MacBookPro. It occured to him last week after trying to print a document with his HP 6100.
When I tried to check the problem, the system UI took at least 15 seconds to register a user action. The Activity Monitor showed that the process pdftopdf consumed more than 2 gb of RAM and continued to do so after a restart. The system was practically unusable. As a temporary solution, I killed to process manually and deinstalled the printer drivers. I did not reinstall the drivers in order to avoid the same problem over and over again.
It was a machine that came originally with Snow Leopard (so no upgraded system from Leopard), which was system-wide up-to date.
Is there any "official" solution regarding this issue that seems to be known for a whole year (see e.g.: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11004321)? In that thread someone suggested that the problem might be related to CUPS. So is it up to Apple or to HP to fix it?

Hello Scheepster, I have ProBook 4340s and I'm having trouble with suspend to ram. When my laptop wakes from suspend it fully hangs after some time. Sometime is 2-3 seconds later and sometime is 20-30 minutes later. I think this two models (4340s and 4540s) are not very different, so would you tell me do you experiencing SUSPEND problems.

Problems processing a large batch of data within a Weblogic 5.1 cluster

I have about exhausted my sources of information on this, so I ask the
          experts:
          The project I am involved with is attempting to build a scheduled
          process on a 5.1 cluster which will retrieve hundreds to thousands of
          database rows from a small group of Oracle tables and then submit them
          into a legacy system for processing. The problems we face are:
          1. We cannot have duplicate data submitted from startup classes on
          different servers in the cluster
          2. We need the process to run if even only one machine in the cluster is
          available and therefore do not want to tie the process to a single
          machine
          3. We would prefer to distribute the workload across all servers
          currently available in the cluster, but this is not mandatory.
          One solution is to retrieve each record as an Entity bean, attempting to
          update it to "in process" and rejecting any failures thus utilizing
          database locking, but due to the large number of records being processed
          this is much too resource intensive as well as time consuming.
          We have looked into JMS based solutions, but it appears that JMS under
          5.1 is tied to a specific server (failing case 2).
          One acceptable approach that we have yet to find a way of implementing
          is to have a "singleton" session bean, only one of which exists on the
          cluster (though it may exist anywhere on the cluster). I have run
          across a number of other applications for just this sort of EJB, but is
          it possible to implement?
          Sadly, Weblogic 6.0 cannot be part of the solution as our company will
          not be adopting it until well after this project's delivery date.
          Are we missing something obvious?

You have to have all the servers in the cluster polling for work out of the
          database. Use the database as a scheduling / routing mechanism. Use timers
          on each server in the cluster to kick off a "find me one thing to do"
          process every n minutes or seconds.

Problem processing an ELExpression

Hi I am having a problem with a custom tag whereby it is not processing an EL Expression within a javscript call, but I dont understand why surely when the page gets rendered by the jsp it does all the conversions without regard for javascript.

Ok the problem is the single quote which JSP assumes is the start of a string literal so you have to change the ' to the html charctercode so ignored by the jsp
as using ampersand#039; instead of a '

Problem Processing HDR Pro in CS5

When selecting my photos for HDR processing from Bridge, by going to tools, Photoshop, Merge to HDR Pro and making my adjustments there, everything seems normal. When I click on "OK" and waiting, the photo comes up in PhotoShop as a completely black image. The "background" layer is of course also black, but when the layer first appears there is a quick glimpse of the photo before going black. There is a slider at the very bottom left hand corner of PhotoShop that is set about 1/3rd or a little more from the left . Just to the right of the slider is an arrow and when clicked, it says "32 bit exposure", which is checked, along with other selections. Upon moving the slider to the right, the photo gradually appears in photoshop, but the layer still stays completely black. Upon adjusting the slider to get the correct exposure and then trying to "save as" the image, I only have a few choices instead of the normal large selection. TIFF is one selection, but JPEG is not. Upon Saving as a 16 bit TIFF, I do not have the option to open the file in Camera Raw.
In Scott Kelby's Photoshop CS5 book, in the HDR chapter it shows a screen-shot of PS and the photo after clicking the OK button. In the screen shot, there is no slider in the very bottom left of PS, but it states "exposure works in 32 bit only" in the same area of where my slider is located.
This process was working correctly originally, but started acting this way about 2 or 3 weeks ago. My thinking is that I have changed a setting somewhere that is causing this problem, but I can't seem to locate where. Would anyone out there have a solution to this very frustrating problem? There is a Radius, Strength, Gamma, Exposure, Detail, Shadow, Highlights, Vibrance, Saturation and Curves Controls.
In that case you've told MergeToHDR to go to 8 or 16 bit and are not creating an HDR image.
Then you won't have the exposure slider or any choice of whitepoint.
You only get the whitepoint choice when creating an HDR image (32 bit/channel).
You might want to spend some time reading the manual about how MergeToHDR works.
Merge to HDR. Mine says Merge to HDR Pro....would that make a difference somehow?

Problem (Process Break) in Creating GRPOs thru DI API Object

I am creating around 12000 GRPOs thru object of GRPO. But the process breaks after processing the few hundred of GRPOs and get an error related to memory insufficient. I am woriking on SERVER and it has 18 GB of RAM. I am releasing the GRPO object and even use the Garbage Collector. But the system throws the errors concerning with memory. I think 18 GB RAM is enough.
Also, I have Disconnect and Connect to the DATABAse after posting of around 1200 GRPOs. But the problem is still occuring.
Please help me in this matter.

Using the
<jsp:text>tag specifically says that what is inside it is text and not markup. If you want your <html> and so on to be treated as markup then don't use something that says it isn't markup.
