Problem re-installing PC Suite

My PC Suite appears to have become corrupted and I cannot re-install it.
It all started when trying to access Control Panel (Windows XP) and I received an error message. It relates to Modem Options, tells me that some application components could not be located and advised me to re-install PC Suite.
I then found that I could not remove PC Suite from the computer. Whatever I tried, PC Suite remained. I tried to re-install the original PC Suite but that refused, stating that I already had a more recent copy installed. I tried downloading the latest version, 6.86.9, but that just refused to install (no reason given). I then tried the version I had been using (6.82). This seemed to install but I was still getting the original error message when accessing Control Panel and now it was happening when clicking on the desktop icon as well. I have also tried repairing the current installation but the repair starts and then hangs (just that application, not the computer).
I am now stuck and need some help. Does anyone know how to remove PC Suite under such conditions, please? Perhaps by deleting some registry keys? I can then do a clean installation.

I have now been able to remove all installed PC Suites and have installed the latest one (6.86.9) and my phone is now able to sync with the PC (via cable). All seems perfect.
However, that error message still appears when I try to enter Control Panel. I now suspect that the problem must lie in Windows somewhere. What happens is as follows:
I click on Start and hover over Control Panel (I have it set as a drop down list). There is a longer than usual wait and the error box appears. I did try to attach a screen shot but this software only accepts certain file extensions and I couldn't see one for a program that could display a screen shot. However, the box seems a standard type error box with the words "Modem Options" at the top. Alongside the red and white cross are the words "Some of the application components could not be located. Please reinstall PC Suite". If I Ok this box it disappears and the Control Panel drop down box appears.
Any ideas, please?

If you are still experiencing difficulties please try copying the install files from the DVD to your desktop and try installing from there. The error still indicates that the installation files have become compromised. If you are installing from the DVD this could indicate either a problem with the media or your optical drive.

Hi! I am new here. I want to install Nokia Suite on my PC. But when I try to install, it finishes half and then an error comes saying 'Something went wrong'. And then the installation fails and exits. Your help will be appreciated. Thanks

Uhh.. yeah, sorry about that. I didn't have any trimming software. And even if I install one, it would take much time. Please forgive me . You could've atleast click forward to skip the useless parts though.. By the way, thanks for helping me!
And about the ignoring thing, I ignored them because if I abort, the installation will fail and exit and otherwise I click retry, nothing will happen at all except the error will come back again. Just wanted to show you all the errors.

Well, when I did the permission things, It said I will have to reinstall the Nokia Suite installer again. I already had installed Nokia Suite from the official site before. So I had this one installed from another site, and it was in a .rar format. So I deleted the folder and extracted the .rar file again and in this way I didn't have to install another one. Installing another one would take huge time, it's 101 MB! You can tell me if it's confusing you .

Problem to install Developer Suite...

Hi,
I bought six months ago the Oracle product to put it in my PC. Today I tried to load the Oracle9i Developer Suite (I would like to see the Procedure Builder to know it for the 1Z0-147 exam....) but I received a message because my version of Developer Suite (9.0.2.0.1) is to old than my version of Oracle (9.2.0.1.0).
Do you know where I can dowload the good version (And wich one is good) or need I to contact Oracle to receive a new CD (I tried to send mail tree times, but no response....)?

The Database version should not matter just make sure that you install iDS into it's own Oracle Home directory - not in to the Database Oracle home.
You can get the latest patches for iDS from metalink.oracle.com if you have a support contract.

How do you re-install PC suite?

I am having problems re-installing PC suite. I get an error message saying
"The version of Nokia PC suite installed on this computer is newer than the one that you are trying to install. Installation will not continue."
I am running windows XP SP2. I had latest version of PC suite running on my PC, but had to do a system restore over the weekend. Since then I get this message when I try to reinstall. I have just downloaded the latest version but still get this message. I have also Downloaded the Nokia PC suite cleaner, but this does not support this version of Software.
Can anyone help please?

Problem Installing Developer Suite on WIndows Vista

Hi! i'm a student of computer science, and i need to install developer suite for a proyect i need to do for one of my classes.
I have a problem installing developer suit on Windows Vista. After i download and unzip both disk, i run the setup from the installer folder and i get an alert that says: "abnormal termination. There's been an internal error. Send the following files to the Oracle Suport Services: Unknown, Unknow, Unknow". I've also tryed with the setup from the main folder and i get the same alert. I don't know what to do, i've tryed setting the compatibility mode to windows XP, runnig as administrator, changing the performance configuration of my computer and nothing. Please help me to install the program!

Problems installing Development Suite Patch 10.1.2.3.0 on Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi all,
I'm trying to install Oracle Development Suite 10.1.2.3.0 on Windows 7 (Service Pack 1 with fairly current Windows Updates) according to Metalink Document 1292919.1.
Everything work just find until I try to install the 10.1.2.3.0 Patchset (Patch Number 5983622) as outlined in Step 5 of the aforementioned Document.
During the step labelled "Copying files for 'Oracle Universal Installer 10.1.0.6.0" I get the following error message twice:
"javaw.exe Entry Point Not Found"
"The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL".
I acknowledged both of these messages and rest of the installation process runs fine.
I'm not not sure about what to make of these messages, will my installation work correctly or will I have to cope with further issues related to this?
My search on Metalink did not turn up any results related to the Development Suite. I already checked if there were multiple versions of psapi.dll were present on the system as mentionned in Documents regarding this problem while installing Oracle client 10.1.0.5.0 but there is only one.
Any help is apreciated!

Problem installing Creative Suite CS4, major help needed

Basically I need help asap because I uninstalled my previous versions of PS etc to install this and work has to be done.
I installed the "Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection" yesterday without problems, but then something happened to my machine last night which forced me to do a system restore.
I restored and the suite was no longer installed, since then I have had many problems trying to install it again.
It keeps getting up to about 5/8 of the progress bar then it freezes on "Currently installing Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin". I did have trouble trying to install "Adobe Flash Player 10" before and finally managed to do it, but it's still freezing when installing the suite.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

OK now it's installed, all of the programs work fine except for photoshop.
I did have photoshop cs2 and cs3 previously installed.
I load up "Adobe Photoshop CS4" and it starts loading, it says "initialising" etc and then when it gets to "Building TWAIN menu items" it pops up with the "Adobe Photoshop CS4 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" message window asking me to "Send Error Report".
Any ideas please?

Try uninstall all Adobe software from the PC before installing CS 5.5, then reinstall them back again after you installed CS 5.5.

Problem while trying to install OVI suite

I've got a problem while trying to install OVI Suite: I'm getting a warning signal that says "Something got wrong - Nokia Ovi Suite installations require that PC Connectivity solution 7.0.0.0 or a later version to be already installed before continuing installation" and I can't install after that. Problems installing Creative Suite CS4?

I had to have a new hard drive fitted on my intel iMac. When I tried to install Creative Suite Design Premium CS4 I had the usual problem of the installer hanging up at 90%.
I have spent several hours with Adobe Support trying to resolve the problem. Even they do not seem to be able to find a solution? At the moment I have a clean instillation of Snow Leopard 10.6.I have not downloaded any updates or installed any other programmes and am still the same problem.
Does any one have a solution?

Problem in installing Oracle database 10.2.01 and SOA suite

I have the following two problems.
I get a windows error saying "oui.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvinience" whenever i try to install Oracle database 10.2.01.(problem 1)
However, i used the Oracle database from other system and installed SOA suite on my system. It was working fine until recently when it failed to start. I had only one option i.e. to deninstall the SOA suite.(i used the oracle deinstaller to deinstall the SOA suite) . When i tried to reinstall it again, i got a warning saying "DHCP configuration was detected on this host. The installer also detected that the local host name and the network hostname differ". When i ignored this warning and continued the installation, the set up falied to detect the Oracle database which i had used earlier(problem 2). Do I need to clear any logs or do i have any way to sort out these two problems. Please help. ?:|

This error code usually appears if the .NET framework components are missing or corrupted.
To fix this:
1. Go to Start> Control Panel
2. Click Programs and Features> Uninstall a program
3 . Uninstall the following present installations of Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, Microsoft .NET Framework 4, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5
4. Restart the computer and log back.
5. Download the latest .NET Framework installer here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 and get the earlier version if you have programs that are dependent on old .NET versions http://www.microsoft.com/net/download/earlier-versions and install.
6. Restart the computer, re-install Nokia Suite.
