Problem reading from the screen of Adobe Reader XI

Hi,
Since I installed Adobe Reader XI, I cannot no more reading the documents from the screen. Here is what I see:
I get this message from Adobe:
I'm following the above instruction I don't see any such option as "Enable Protected Mode".
I'm not sure even if this is the cause of the above problem.

Your top image seems to indicate you may have a computer virus on your system. I highly recommend you run a virus checking program on your computer, download the latest virus definitions and hope that they can remove the infection.

Opening a file from the Cloud of Adobe Reader - Ipad

Hi,
I have got a serious trouble with my Ipad. It's been about 3, maybe 4 days that I can't open my files from the cloud of Acrobat.com if it hasn't been open recently, thus not in the docoument.
When I try to open a file, I click on it, and then, it do not open, just stay blocked on "Opening... X Mo." without never progressing.
I thought it was maybe the internet connection. But the Cloud of Pages, Numbers and Keynote works perfectly.
Then, I did some manipulations on Adobe Reader : I deleted it, then downloaded it. All the files are in it, but I can't open them. I 've checked the version of Adobe reader and it's the latest one. I've checked the version of My Ipad, and it's the lastest one too. I even turned off my Ipad, then turned it on. Nothing.
So, I thought it was maybe the files itself. But I can open them on the cloud of my computer.
Ps. About subscriptions, I bought the Pack (about 79€ a year).

Why does the screen say, "Adobe Reader is blocked for this website."

When I try to continue on to the site and trust the site, I recieve a different message stating, "Before viewing PDF documents, in this browser, you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the end user agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser."
I have tried redownloading the program and accepting the agreement again, but this does not seem to be working. I am out of ideas......

Did you actually read the message you got? It doesn't say anything about redownloading; it says to launch (open) the Adobe Reader application and accept the EULA.

How do I change my default reader from VU 360 to Adobe Reader?

How do I change my reader from VU360 to Adobe Acrobat? My default reader on my downloads has been changed to VU360 and I don't know how that happened. I don't want VU360. I want Adobe Acrobat. I changed it in the applications but VU360 still comes up as the default reader. Is there another place that makes VU360 the default reader?

How can I fix the position of Adobe reader?

I want to keep Adobe reader on the right of the screen. When I return to Adobe reader from a different window, Adobe reader jumps to a different position, sometimes it's half off the screen. Any advice appreciated as this is driving me nuts.

Try downloading the full installer and using that.

When you attempt to encode media with Adobe Media Encoder CS4 on Windows, the following error message appears in the text file (AMEEncodingErrorLog.txt) that opens when you click the error icon: "Encoding Failed. Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted."
If it's that correct, you removed an earlier version of Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Creative Suite on the same computer.
Do one or both of the following solutions:
Solution 1: Create a shortcut to the Premiere Pro executable file, rename the shortcut to Premiere, and move the shortcut to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\dynamiclink.
Close all Adobe applications.
In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. (If you installed Premiere Pro CS4 in a location other than the default of C:\Program Files\Adobe, then navigate to your custom installation location.)
Right-click on Adobe Premiere Pro.exe (which might appear without the .exe extension) and choose Create Shortcut.
Rename the newly created shortcut to just Premiere.
Important: The name of the shortcut must be exactly Premiere with no other characters.
Open a second Windows Explorer window, and navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\dynamiclink.
Move the Premiere shortcut that you created into the dynamiclink folder.
Solution 2: Remove and reinstall all Premiere Pro CS4 components or all Adobe Creative Suite 4 components.
Do one of the following:
Windows XP: Choose Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
Windows Vista: Choose Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
In the list of installed programs, select Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium, or Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection.

I am getting messages that I can't download and read .pdf files since I have the wrong Adobe reader. I know about their security disasters of course, but I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and I have other ,pdf file readers as well, and for some reason they won't work either. I have 5 computers running top end processors and RAM. By this I mean I have one, this one which I am using that has an AMD Phenom Black 3.2 Quad-core with 8 GBs of Corsair top DDR2 RAM, my other two AMD have either an Athlon II triple core with 4 GBs of DDR2 Corsair RAM, one with the Phenom X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-core with 8 GBs of their best DDR2 RAM, and two Intels with the i7 920 Processors using the triple channel 1366 socket processors and one with 8 GBs of low latency DDR3 RAM and the other with 4 GBs of the same RAM. I am getting the message on this one, which has a fresh install of XP Pro X64 operating system, as do the other 4 as well. I have run Avast Business Pro Anti-virus on this one, which I am getting the message on with a single result which I deleted, and also both Spybot Search and Destroy, which came back clean as well as Malwarebytes Antimalware, which got a lot of tracing cookies now removed, and SuperAntiSpware which also found a few cookies also now deleted. Can you tell me what I need to do to get these files to show as .pdf files rather than as a clean blank page. One other issue is that I wish to know how to turn off my downloads so they are saved and Mozilla will give me the option of returning them instead of me losing them all together as it does now. When i export from lightroom slideshow and choose the 1920x1080 resolution the end product is a very small video in the middle of a black background. i have double checked and do not have any borders turned on. Another option would be to export from the library but lr mogrify does not seem to put text overlays on video either. Any input would be welcome.

I'm having some hiccups getting Adobe to register the software, but since I set it as the default .pdf reader during setup, things try (and fail) to open in the as yet unregistered software. How can I change it temporariiy to the Acrobat Reader XI that I have installed?

I'd opened file with the 'Open with' feature then clicking Adobe Reader,
but that didn't do it. When I used 'Open with', then 'Choose default
program...', it worked like a charm.

I have created a pdf from a word-file and inserted formfields for a work related file. I've used nitro pro to create the formfield. They works in nitro, reader, foxit etc. but not adobe reader. From page 3 and out, the font wont show when writing in a formfield. Some formfield doesnt even show.
Please help me fix this (hopefully before the presentation at work friday) :-)

Agreed. Adobe makes no claims that their Reader will work properly with forms made from third party software.

Right. After almost a day I finally sorted the problem.
Adobe Reader worked under the spare Admin account so I deleted that in case it was confusing the installer. I then rerpaired persmissions. I then re-installed Reader. Same problem "Internal Error"!!
So, I re-created another Admin account and opened Reader. No problem. After clicking accept licence it opened up with a question to make default or not. After this I hunted through every folder and found that Under 'User/Librarary/Application Support/Adobe' there was an Acrobat folder. When I checked the account I normally use there wasn't, and never was?? So I copied pasted a copy of the Acrobat folder into the same location on the non working account and all is fine.
Problem for me is, why did this happen? I wasted almost a day on this. Is it a problem with the installer, the Macbook or Permissions. I checked permissions and they are identical to those on the spare Admin account. So why did the installer not create the Acrobat folder on the main account from where it was installed? Reason it concerns me is with regard to updates. Will they also screw up?
I'll try to explore further as times goes on but for now I have to say I've had enough of Acrobat and Lion for one day. "It just works". Really???

I can't download PDF's from website that uses Adobe Reader on my Windows 8 phone?

For work I need to be able to download PDF's from a particular website. It utilizes the Adobe Reader but when I try to download a PDF, it doesn't do anything. I tried to download the "Adobe Reader" from the website but it says that I do not hav the system requirements to do so. This problem started after they did the Adobe update. I haven't been able to download these PDS's since then. I need to be able to do this for work.... Any suggestions? or when will this issue be fixed? Thank you!!!

I have the same problem. Or similar. A few weeks ago, i installed Adobe reader (because i had a pdf attachment that was unreadable in Preview, so i wanted to try Adobe to see if that would work; it didn't work). Since then, i can't open PDF files on the web. I get a black screen or sometimes a white one. and i can sometimes open them indirectly, if there is the option on the link. I thought this problem started after i deleted Adobe however. I'm not sure because i wasn't expecting this problem and am not exactly sure the sequence of when things happened, but i wanted to delete Adobe reader because i had no use for it. Unfortunately, they didn't provide an uninstaller. I put the application in the trash and whatever else was in the folder, and emptied the trash, but got a lot of messages about various files not being able to be deleted because they were in use. I think it was since then that i can't open PDF files. Never had a problem before getting involved with Adobe Reader. Anyway, as far as your answer goes, i have already deleted as much of it as i can.
Any other suggestions? i downloaded the Adobe installer to reinstall it if that's what it takes. i need to be able to open PDF files.
