Problem reading html and rtf emails

When I send emails from my pc to my iPhone 5 in html or rtf format they are unreadable as all of the coding instructions are also included in the text when it appears on screen. This was never a problem with my iPhone 4 so I am not sure what has changed. I have a business contact who has had similar problems in the recent past with my emails so I know it is not just me.
I have tried sending html emails from other pc's in the office to my phone and they are all readable so perhaps it is something in the set up of my pc that is causing this issue. As my office is changing over to iPhone 5's does anybody have any solution to what will become a very annoyinmg problem.
Obviously I could send all of my emails in plain text but that doesn't really work for what I need to send, logo's / graphics etc.

Hi
The best way to organize data and images to get them next to each other is to use a table (no borders) in your RTF template. Create a two celled table and drop the image into one and the text next to it.

  • Problems with .mac and .me email accounts after iCloud

    For over a month I have been locked out of my .mac and .me email accounts on password issues involving iCloud.
    I must have changed (duly confirmed as valid by Apple) a dozen times my iCloud account password and duly updated it to the preferences of mail.
    Still, when I try opening the mail I am prompted to enter the password, which every time fails. Every time I follow the link to replace the pw, I do so, I get the OK from Apple and back to square one ....
    I tried talking to support, but after 40 minutes of waiting I was given an ineffectual tip that did not work. No intention of calling again.
    Can anyone please put an end to my suffering?
    (Yes, I can type. Yes, I have been using Apple computers since 1984. Yes, I regularly enter countless password protected sites, no problem)
    Thanks a lot,
    Luigi

    I understand that they're the same thing but they don't seem to be working like that at the moment... and this has been the case ever since transferring to iCloud.
    The problem I'm having is that if anyone emails my .mac address it returns to sender undeliverable, while the .me address works fine. Similarly, if I try to send an email using .mac it won't send it, but it will using .me. Most of my contacts have the .mac address so I'm not getting any emails.
    If anyone has any advice I'd be most grateful.

  • Open HTML and RTF in JEditorPane !!

    Hello,
    Is it possible to use JEditorPane to open a HTML file and then save it as RTF?
    And open a RTF file and save it as HTML ???
    Eric

    I tried. When the HTML or RTF contains TABLE, both will not recognize it. Is there any problem.
    I mean if the HTML contains TABLE, when I tried to write it to RTF, it will omit the table format. In the contrast, if the RTF contains the TABLE format, when I write the RTF to HTML, it also omits the table format.

  • Problem in HTML and HTMLCSS format of reports

    Hi
    I'm using Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 to build a tabular report, in the repot preview everything is ok but in the real time I have two problems :
    1- When I try to generate html file or access the report with desformat=html some graphical formats like lines and background colors are gone!. When I see the source of the generated HTML file the tables border is 0. I changed the border to be 1px with solid style and black color but nothing happened.
    2- When I try to generate htmlCSS file or access the report with desformat=htmlCSS the graphics is there but when I print the report there is some shift between the generated page and the printed page i.e: the printed pages are not the same like the report's pages. I added some code in the after page property as a page break but nothing changed
    Any help will be appreciated
    Thank you in advance

  • Remote app problem - read everything and still no help

    Hi
    Similar to many people, I'm having a remote problem as well. Actually, the app worked just fine for a week, then all of a sudden stopped working. I guess it could have been some kind of a windows update issue maybe because I haven't changed anything. The thing is now that it's trying to connect to my library but fails. I've turned my firewalls completely off, re-installed the app many times on my iPhone 3G, re-added the library many times (then it connects so I can insert the 4-digit code), tried the "forget all remotes", the sharing is enabled in iTunes, I'm connected to the same WiFi network, it's not hooked with a cable to sync when I've tried it but still, all it says is "could not connect to library". I have been working with this issue for 2 days by now and read hundreds of posts but still no help. Could please anyone help me with this issue, please please!
    Thanx

    Try this
    In Windows go to Start - Run - type services.msc then press ok
    Look for Bonjour Service - is it started? if not right click on it and start it
    If it is started right click and restart the service. Now try remote app

  • Problem in html and using javascript

    Hello,
    I want to create a html page that calls a javascript file(.js) using the HTML portlet. The problem is that i do not how to specify the location of the javascript (src="location/name of .js file")as i do not know in which directory does the HTML portlet resides.
    Please give me some guidance on this.
    Thanks in advance.

    If you want to store the .js file on the file system, the base directory is <ORACLE_HOME>/portal. For example, on Windows, if your mid-tier Oracle Home is d:\iasv2, your base directory will be d:\iasv2\portal. The relative link "/location/myjs.js" (note the leading slash) would resolve to "d:\iasv2\portal\location\myjs.js".
    If you want to store the file in the Portal repository, the path is "/<DAD>/docs/PAGE/<pagepath>/<docname>", where <DAD> is your database access descriptor (e.g."/pls/portal"), <pagepath> is the path to the page on which the document is stored, starting with the name of the root page of the page group. So if your DAD is "/pls/portal", your root page is called "mypages" (the internal name is used, not the display name), and the document is stored on a page under the rootpage called "myscripts", the href will be "/pls/portal/docs/page/mypages/myscripts/myjs.js".
    You can also specify a path relative to the current page. So, in the above example, if your HTML portlet is on "mypages", your href can be simply "myscripts/myjs.js".
    If this is release 1 of Portal (3.0.x), use /<DAD>/docs/FOLDER/<folderpath>/<docname> as the path to the document (e.g. "/pls/portal/docs/folder/myfolders/myscripts/myjs.js").

  • Long-standing problem reading USB and Firewire peripherals

    I have asked this question here before, but never really got an answer.
    My single biggest problem with my Mac is getting it to recognise peripherals. This seems entirely a matter of caprice: sometimes I can plug in a Firewire peripheral and it will be recognised, at other times the same peripheral with the same lead goes unrecognised. Sometimes I can dowload images from my Nikon, at other times the computer stubbornly refuses to recognise its existence. Sometimes a peripeharl will appear on the desktop but not on the sidebar. Sometimes I have to plug the peripheral directly into one of the slots on the back of the screen, at others it can be read from my Belkin extension. USB connections seem particularly subject to capricious behaviour, but Firewire isn't always immune.
    There appears to be no rhyme, reason or logic to any of this, nor does there seem to be any way of forcing a Mac to read the peripherals connected to it. Could somebody at least let me know whether this a well-known Mac glitch that nobody talks about, or do I have a bum machine?

    The low power devices such as cameras often need a wall powered hub to connect correctly.
    Digital cameras inherantly are better suited to have their media card connected to a USB card reader than directly from the camera.  They lose less power on their battery by doing this, and you have much better compatibility with card readers than cameras.
    Any USB device not following HID standard may fail as well.
    Some low powered devices are not familiar with Apple's Energy Saver. If your Energy Saver is set to go off, the USB ports will remain in a low powered mode until a shut down or restart is complete.
    Macs over 4 years old start having an array of peripheral and system difficulties as the PRAM battery starts to die.    Replace the PRAM battery for those that do.  This is not the same as the user replaceable battery on those that you can see the battery on the machine from the outside.

  • IPad problem with security and reset email

    I bought a iPad last month and I used the same Apple ID from my iPod and to get games and buy apps I have to put in my apple security questions but I have forgotten them so it said to try the reset gmail but that email I have lost the pass code to it so I cannot get any apps plz help

    If you can't reset that password, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Problems reading (?) and displaying diacrites (Solaris)

    Hi,
    We are developing an application using WSAD 4.0.3 in a Windows 2000 environment.
    The production environment is on a Solaris 8 machine, using WAS AE 4.0.5. and DB2 7.2
    When we read an UTF-8 XML file with diacrites, they are not displayed right on the JSP pages. I am not sure where it goes wrong. The XML file is read, and put in a database. The JSP displays the data from the database. For the database "communication" we use EJBs
    I guess it is due to SDK 1.3 not supporting localization (except for Japanese and some Chinese, Korean and western European locales), that being true for JSP 1.1. also.
    Is that correct? And so yes, is there an easy workaround?

    There are alternative or related characters for each of Combining Diacritical Marks. You can download a pdf file here for "Combining Diacritical marks."
    http://www.unicode.org/charts/
    And here is a sample of code which displays characters that a specified encoding can encode.
    import java.nio.charset.*;
    public final class TestCharset{
    public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
    Charset chset = Charset.forName("ISO-8859-1"); // specify encoding in the form supported in the java.nio package
    CharsetEncoder encoder = chset.newEncoder();
    for(int j=0;j<Character.MAX_VALUE;j++){
        if(encoder.canEncode((char)j)) {
          System.out.print("0x");
          System.out.print(Integer.toHexString(j));
          System.out.print(" ");
    System.out.println();
    }

  • Plug-ins for viewing files such as .swfs and .rtfs in Finder's Preview Pane

    Are there plug-ins which would allow files such as .html and .rtf to display details of their content within the Finder's Preview pane, in a way similar to the way it is possible to preview .pdf, .txt, and .jpg files?
    thanks

    No, but any text editor can display html and rtf files, for example, TextEdit in your Utilities folder.

    Hi,
    This problem is a classic problem of mail routing via Exchange. Exchange like most mail servers use the domain part of the email address as a means to route mails. So I will make an assumption that your main company mail addrss is "User @ fes.com".
    So when you send a mail to the "User @ fes.com mail" address the mail is delivered to your Outlook mail address as this is the default route for company.
    (Q) So how do you get your Exchange server to relay the mail into the sending SAP system?
    (A) The easiest way would be to setup and unique mail domain for your SAP system. I always recommend "user @ client.sid.company.com" which in your case would be "u1 @ 100.PRD.fes.com". You can then instruct Exchange to send any emails addressed to 100.PRD.fes.com domain to your SAP system. Also using this format of address you can configure multiple mail connections into multiple SAP systems.
    (A) Another answer would be to enter the "Full" email address (LOcal and Domain part of address) into the routing rule for Exchange e.g. "U1 @ fes.com" so that all emails addressed to this user will be delivered into SAP. However this method requires a lot of Admin as you will have to update Exchange with ALL email address that need to receive emails. Also if your corporate mail address is "U1 @ fes.com" then all mails will be forwarded to SAP.
    I would definitely NOT recommend this method but the decision is up to you.
    P.S. The IP address of the SAP system is entered into the mail header of the email. This is standard practice in SMTP relay. You can suppress this header in Exchange
    Hope this helps
    Michael

    More information about this issue can be found here:

    A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... then download the base install for Adobe Reader 11.0.
    Then download each of the individual updates and run them sequentially.
    I've installed back up to the last security update which is version 08 and have been able to do normal Save As operations.
    You will have to disable automatic updates in order to stay at version 08 until Adobe resolves this issue in a later release.

  • HTML Email saved as MSG opens as RTF Email when Exchange Cached mode is OFF

    Hello,
    i have the following problem:
    In an Exchange 2013 environment each time i open a HTML email and save it to disk as a MSG file (Unicode or non Unicode) i get a MSG file with an RTF Body. This only happens when Exchange Cached mode is turend OFF. I tested this with Outlook 2010 and Outlook
    2013 with no 3rd Party Addins installed. Any idea?
    Regards
    Thorsten
    Best Regards/Viele Grüße Thorsten

    I've found this information from our internal channel.
    In some case, when you need to convert MIME e-mail with HTML body into .MSG file. For that, HTML must be converted into RTF.
    Outlook Converter provides basic means of such conversion (which can be suitable in most cases), and lets you use any external converter for high-quality HTML-to-RTF conversion. Although Outlook can display .MSG files which have HTML
    body and no RTF body, the problem occurs when you try to forward or reply such e-mail. For this to succeed, the original message must have RTF body as well.
    So, please check whether the message you've dragged onto desktop is MIME message. This might be the root, however, it
    still doesn't explain why it only occurs in specific circumstances (Exchange online mode only).
    Feel free to post back. Thanks.
    Cheers,
