Problem regarding Sales BOM explosion in Delivery

Dear SD Gurus,
The problem is,
I've a BOM with Higher level item TAP.
when i do a partial delivery, only for the first time the BOM is getting exploded and later on whenever the user tries to create the delivery, only the header item in the BOM is displayed in the delivery. The user has to enter all the sub-items manually and also the quantity.
what must be the reason?
Please anyone try and throw some light. Its hard for the user to do so much data entry

but yes the check box for create delivery group is checked & also the structure group is A.
This is basically a quantity contract against which the user has cretad four release orders.
And for one order out of four user has created a partial delivery and invoice. Everything went fine until here.
Now when he wants to again create a delivery against the same order, only the header item for the BOM is displayed.
But the system is allowing to manually enter the sub-items and its quantity in the delivery and do the PGI and Invoice.
This is what i am not understanding,
and I hope you have understood the problem. Please ask me if any doubts.

I have a problem regarding sales order line item with confimed quanity

Hi Experts,
I have a problem regarding sales order line item with confimed quanity with '0' with delivery block but confirming the sales order quantity once the order is released from credit check.
The situation arises as per the below scenarios.
Scenario - 1 - When the sales order has two line item - one line item with confirmed qunaity in the schedule line and for the 2nd line item there is no available stock for the Material xxxxxx.
Initially the sales order is created for the line item 2 with confirmed quantity = 0, and having the delivery block = 01 for the Material xxxxxx and the order is set with credit check. Once the order is relased from the credit check. The quanity for the item 2 where the confirmed quantity will be = 0 ( Where it is not changing the confirmed quantity)
Scenario -2- Updating the order qunaity for the line item 2 as (9Pcs) it will goes to credit check and save the order.
Maintain the stock for the line item 2 ( 5 Pcs).
Once the order is released from the credit check. Then for the line item 2 the confirm quanity will be seting to 5 Pcs with Delivery blcok 01.
This should not happen, When the credit check is released even though if it has stock based on the delivery blockl it should set the confirmed quanity to Zero.
Can you please help me how to solve this issue.

I agree with your point. In the sales order When the complete delivery check box is enabled where the confimed qty is set to zero, it is fine but when we save the orderr it goes to credit check. Once we release the order using VKM3 where in the sales order the confimed quantity is setting to 5, But it should set to Zero quantity. Quatity should not be get confirmed it should be Zero Quantity.
Further in SPRO - customizing in the deliveries blocking reasons - It has a tick mark in the confirmation blcok. But we dont want to remove the - Confirmation Block tick mark
Please any one can help me if you have any solution to solve this problem.

No Sales BOM explosion via BAPIs

Hi all,
We use BAPI_INQUIRY_CREATEFROMDATA to create inquiries; however this does not explode sales BOM; rather it creates just one line for the main material.
Are there any specific input parameters that need to be modified to trigger BOM explosion in the background.
Alternatively, are there any BAPIs or FMs at least to simulate BOM explosion and return the results so that we can pass them explicitly to the inquiry create BAPI.
Or is there any other way to create sales documents with sales BOM explosion. (we can't change the BAPI as its part of the source code of a 3rd party application; but we have user exits before and after this BAPI call).

Solved. Sales BOM does get exploded even in BAPIs. Checked with a different user ID and it worked. The RFC user seemed to have an authorization problem.

Multilevel sales BOM explosion

Can you please guide for multilevel sales BOM explosion.
for example: 1 finished products
2 semifinished assigned to it
1 raw material is assigned to 2 semifinished.

Explode Sales BOM in Replenishment Delivery

Hi All,
We have a requirement of exploding Sales BOM in replenishment Delivery. We tried a lot exploring the same and ended up with a Snote mentioning no solution.
Do we have a enhancement sought of solution where we can insert line item in the delivery after data transfer functionality of SAP (Copy control).
Can anyone suggest us a BADI as well as function modules where we identify the material as Sales BOM and insert the items manually in the Delivery based on validity date.

it is sure we can achieve this functionality only by enhancement.
Till now we have seen that only routine 302 is triggering during the VL10B and no other exits or BADI'ns are helping us.
If you have any such enhancements where we could insert the line items during the creation of replenishment delivery.Then it will be very helpful.
basically I need any such user exits or BADI'ns for the same.

I have business requirement in BOM Explosion in sales. At the time of sales order (basically this is created when receive the PO from the customer), BOM is not finalised in the system and this is finalised before producing the material & even sales BOM also finalised before production. So, when i copy the item from order to delivery, in that level requirement to explore BOM.

Problem with Sales BOM

Hello All,
The problem is related to Sales BOM where in the Item Category Group we maintain ERLA and the free item gets populated with the main item in the sales order with a different item category and the pricing is shown as statistical.
Now I want the system to show any error message or stop the next proceeding whenever the stock of the free item alongwith the main item or viceversa is not available or if there is any partial availability in case of free item & main item or viceversa.
Please suggest how to configure this or if any routine or user-exit need to be maintained for this.

Sales BOM explosion in STO sch agreement

Dear Friends,
I have a requirement where sales BOM is to be exploded in STO sch agreement.
I would like to know whether it can be done in STO sch agreement.
I tried to achieve this by making the following config.
Material master for Header part : Item category ERLA
The STO PO order type is : UB.
STO delivery TYPE           : NL.
Item category                   :NLN
Changes made in NLN
Structure scope set to - A
Application     as SD01
In order to delivery copy control : Routine 301.
With all these settings in place i am not able to explode the BOM.Kindly let me know if anything else is to be done in addition to this.

BOM Explosion in Delivery

Hi,
We have a requirement for exploding delivery in outbound delivery only.
Our client wants to explode the BOM in outbound delivery as they want to use BOM components only for the purpose of packing.
They are not showing the BOM items in the Sales order. ( SO has only BOM header, as they have a seperate process for BOM items consumping against the SO in PP module )
Please let me know if there is a way of doing this in SAP.
Please let me know what kind of customizing and requirements ( both at header and item level in copying control ) need to be maintained.

Hi,
You have the option of Item Category Determination for Deliveries. You need to have different item categories for SO and Delivery and this has to be mapped in the copy control. In the Delivery Item Cat determination, you need to mention the Higher Level Item Cat and the Sub-item IC.
Hope by this way you will be able to explode BOM in the Delivery.

Sales BOM explosion

I have created a sales order specific BOM (usage 6 in CS61). I would like to know how the components will get reflected in sales order i.e. if we can re-explode the sales BOM in sales order.
Strategy for parent material is 20.
item cat group for both parent and child material is ERLA.

BOM Explosion in Delivery w/o Reference

Hi to all,
can anybody tell me if BOM Explosion is working in combination with the creation of a delivery w/o reference (LO).
I made the neccessary settings for the item type consideration but when I try to create a LO-Delivery, the system is only creation the header position of the BOM but without the explosion.

thanks for your reply.
I checked my settings but from my point of view everything seems to be right.
My material has pos.type.grout LUMF
I like to have an explosion with DLP for the header an DLN for the components.I think normally DLP is intended for P-acking but as there are no other specific settings on this type I took it as the corresponding one to TAP which I have in the order on the header position.
For DLP I set the BOM settings to A / SD01 and X for creating delivery group.
For Pos.type determination I have
LO LUMF DLP
LO NORM DLP DLN
But I still only have the header position without explosion.
If you have any ideas left pls. let me know.

VL10A : Delivery item number in case of Sales BOM : Combined order delivery

Hi, I am an ABAPer .
I have set the order combination flag on two sales orders.
SO1 has items as follows:
10 : Item A
11 : Item A-1
12 : Item A-2
20 : Item B
SO2 has one item
10 : Item C
Now I create a combined delivery out of SO1 and SO2
The resultant is
10 : Item C
11 : Item A-1 (UEPOS = 20 = Hi Lvl Item)
12 : Item A-2 (UEPOS = 20 = Hi Lvl Item)
20 : Item A
30 : Item B
The issue is VL10A re-numbers the Item 10 : Item A to # 20, However it does not re-number the subitems as there is no contention. Is there any way to re-number the subitems as 21,22 via configuration in SPRO ? If such a requirement has been met before, please help with answers. Appreciate any helpful answers. Thanks.

Go to VOV8 tcode and then select the Order type and double click on it.
Now in the displayed screen: Go to the Number systems section and then look for the field Sub-item increment and change the number as per your requirement.

BOM Explosion in CRM & ECC

Does anyone know of a way to control Sales BOM explosion at the item category level in the middleware? We have boms created in our ECC system for both standard and configurable materials. For our standard materials I need the sales BOMs to explode on the CRM order (for ISA shopping basket purposes) and to prevent a duplicate explosion in the ECC backend I have parameter NOSTRUCTURE set to X in SMOFPARSFA.
CRM does not support using configurable products as the header or component of sales boms so for these materials I do want the bom explosion to happen in ECC as the order flows from CRM to ECC.
I've tried adding order types and item categories to the parameter names for NOSTRUCTURE but it didn't work. OSS confirmed my findings that it would not work.

I did work on single level BOM explosion in a couple of projects. As per SAP note 549341 - FAQ: BOMs in the sales order, it is very much possible to explode multi-level BOMs.
Check this note and item category BOM explosion options.

BOM EXPLOSION IN SUBCONTRACTING SCENERIO

To all Experts,
This is regarding the bom explosion in subcontracting P.O(scenerio).Scenerio prob. is explained as follows -
1) I have an assembly which includes the semifinish & raw materials.
2) By cs11 it explpodes whole BOm
3) When i made P.O. for job work order(subcon.), in mateial data view it displys only the semifinish components(i.e. component or explode bom) ,but not the raw,which we want to send to vendor.
so due to above,how we can determine, what the material we are sending to vendor?
In short i want to explode the bom in po,in which it displys the semifinish as well as its raw.
So please suggest a propper solution for above query.

we are exploring the PHANTOM ASSEMBLY but still no luck.
When i set at BOM item level - Phantom Assembly off indictor and Spec. Procurement 50
system is still requesting for transfer of Phantom Assembly instead of components to the vendor.
