Problem regarding the standard email client in Nok...

Hi,
I have tried for days to set up the standardphone email client with my email adress. I use my own email account from a domain. (.net)
When i bought the N8 last month it actually worked with the standard imap configure and ports used in outlook and other devices.
Suddenly i got the message that i had to reinst. the email-account on the phone, and now its not possible to recive emails.
I have tried almost everything, but managed to send emails after i deleted every mail account on the phone, and denied the terms at the end so my emails dont go through the nokia.com system.
Have anyone experienced the same problem?
Does anyone have a solution?

good to know your WebDynpro reacts to eventing sent by MDM Result Set iView. As you mentioned, the problem is getting the record-id from the sender ResultSet iView.
Here is the info:
Step1: display what comes from sender iView.
e.g. for NW04 EP SP14: Logon to Portal with admin access, then navigate to System Administration -> Support -> Client Framework -> SPOCKI, Client Framework Inspector. Enter the pcd link to the MDM Result Set iView, then all client framework info is visible including all parameters of eventing. If the parameter you are looking for (e.g. record-ID) is not sent out from ResultSet, then:
Step2: configure MDM ResultSet iView to send the record-id
Content Administration -> ... select your Result Set iView -> open it in Edit mode -> select Custom Events -> select event type EPCF -> select Mapped Field [Record ID] -> enter the name of the parameter (same specified in event receiver). Then repeat the Step1 to make sure the record-ID is really sent out from Result Set iView.

How to create MAC JNI call to launch the native email client

How to write JNI code to call native default email client on MAC OSX and add attachment in that email client. Thanks plz help in this regard.

Which suggests that you want to open the actual email client, rather than using java itself to send the email.
However it doesn't answer why.
At any rate that requires the following.
1. A platform specific way to run the email client. If you can't figure out how to do this from the command line (nothing to do with java) then you can't do it in java.
2. A way to manipulate an application that is running. The Robot package is intended for that. It might or might not do it. If not then you would need to find or create something else to do this.
3. Custom scripts for each possible email client which is fed into part 2 to make it do something.
Obviously a lot of work especially the last as that part might vary not only by vendor by also by version and user configuration.

Has anyone else had problem with the STANDARD package?

Here I have a Problem regarding the creation of Table using CSS.
In My Application i have a table with multiple rows(Rows are Dynamically added to the table).First i am setting the table with the following properties:
width:900px;
height : auto,
Overflow : visible,
Max-height: : 200px.
If I use above properties,I'm getting a table with 5 or 6 rows(height upto 200px).After that i am getting the Vertical ScrollBar.
The problem is when a table has many columns, Vertical and Horizontal Scrolls are coming at the time of setting the table. The table height is not Increasing dynamically.
How can i use "height" property in CSS? (I want the table height to be increased when the columns are more.)

If so select the option convert to new region (opt-comm-R or selecting it by right clicking). Check your audio bin to make sure. Whats the "merge" function? Are u refering to the glue tool?

I answer to your question, this is not restricted to just the one user. It has happened to a few, but not all. Not sure what the trigger is.
Now it has happened for a non-portal user, that is to say when I run it test mode from SE80. Debugging has not shed any light on it. All behaves as I would expect. All the alv formatting code is executed, then the component loads and by default the 'standard view' has all column set as hidden.
Looking at this from a different perspective, when, in an alv you create a custom view and 'save as' to store the settings, does anyone know where that is saved too ? Can we delete the settings for the user ? or see the personalization ?

PayPal Pro submissions do not go through. The error message reads "We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller."

Im going to go ahead and assume your talking to me?
    I ended up in this thread in search of a functional Exchange ready mail client capable of supporting multiple mail profiles. Since there are no free applications to accomplish this in the app stor, which I can find, I figured I'd leverage the 'community' for some direction before throwing good money after bad.
   As I assume Im not the only one to do this, I figured I'd help straighten these folks out on the lingo (as they werne't applying it properly) and the sassy 'sound like apple users' comment references the way ANTI-apple folks assume you people are less than adequite users.
   If I called an apple an orange, you would say I was wrong. If I did it repeatedly, after correction, you would assume Im incompetant.
   Seriously, its a stupid machine and will only do what you tell it. (true for all computers, apple or otherwise)
   So if I ask for a mail client, dont give me a provider. If I ask for a service, dont name a client.

    In response to MichelPM, I didnt call your baby ugly. The 'Bandwagoning' is cute though. My advice is sound, and helping you folks not to look so... well... stupid.
    Since you interceded though, how about a little help? What mail client do you use? Is it exchange Compatible, with active sync? Does it offer multi-profile support? And the clients want images in their signatures, and multi signature support. (I can do this with my android phone )

Can't sync email and calendar. says no standard email client

Hi guys
A few months back after a new itunes update, my fathers iphone stopped syncing calendar events from the phone, to the computer
but from computer > phone, no problems.
Well we never fixed that problem, and now he has just purchased Office 2007 (went from outlook 2002 (NOT 2003) )
And now itunes won't sync at all, it just says there is no standard email / calendar program.
But there is, we have been in the options pane in outlook and marked it as the standard program
Any one who has an idea ? what can we do?

I have tried resetting the sync history a few times, and to no avail.
I have run the diagnostic tool in itunes regarding synching. No go either.
And no, i know it wasn't supported, therefore i suggested to my dad that he should upgrade. But it did work, untill one of the recent itune patches.
But now he is running office 2007, and that should be supported
but i know, if i ask apple directly i will just get an answer that its microsofts fault

How do you change the Selected Email Client

I have created a form that submits XML data by email.
The first time you click the "Submit by Email" button, a dialogue box opens up and asks you to select one of 3 options: "Desktop Email Application", "Internet Email" or "Other".
The problem that is occurring is that people will either not read the statement or out of ignorance select "Desktop Email Application" when in fact they have internet based email. There is no apparent way to go back and reset this preference.
Does anyone know where this preference is stored and how to change it?
Alternatively, does anyone know how to generate the XML file by an alternate method that could be saved and then attached to an email?
This has been a major problem that has prevented the use of this form, any help would be greatly appreciated.

This setting is handled by your Operating System. On Winddows (Win7) you go to Control Panel->Programs->Default Programs->Set Default Programs. On OS X you set this using the preferences of you email client. For example launch Mail and go to Mail->Preferences->General. The first setting is for default email client.

Problems with the Standard Greeting CUE

Good Day All,
I am running Cisco Unity Express version 3.2.2 in a Cisco 2851 router.
A user has logged onto her voicemail and was attempting to change the initial default settings for her Unity Express account.
She is using a 7942 phone.
I got around the problem by setting up her voicemail from a shared line on another phone.
The strange thing is that when the user tried to record her name in CUE, the system seemed to ignore her request and kept the default settings.
When I configured another phone with a shared line, I had no problems updating the CUE server.
Any ideas , thoughts?

As for the ram, can i check that on the actual ram or with a program? Because when i bought it, it said 512mb "Standard" DDR, nothing more.
The cpu was all right when i upgraded it, so thats not a problem. As for the xp messenger update, i dont think it's that because i am now running windows 2000 and have tried running xp, 2000 and 98 with the same problems.

As for those ram timings, that sound like something i should try. I lack some of those skills so if you could detail what i should set in bios i would apreciated so i dont mess something up
Something just hit me. I have been suspicious about the ram for a while now but now i know, of course it must be the ram. I put in an GeForce2 MX in and it worked splendid, and thats because it has its own memory, i would beleve that it's the same thing with the sound perhaps. If i am not entierly mistaken the sound card probably use my ddr memory as a buffer, right?

Did a software update not too long ago, and was prompted to install the new Nokia messaging client on my E63. Its quite nice, a good improvement over the previous version, though viewing emails in HTML is pretty slow, hoping you guys might be able to speed that up. Overall, quite nice.

Hi there, I have updated my E5-00 to the last version of email client, but I have lot of issues with it. The client has problems to load images. It is not possible to load email address through contacts. I have to manually type the address. I have tried the hard reset but it didn`t help. The biggest problem is that it is not possible to uninstall the client. I DON`T recommend to upgrade. My frients have the same problem.

I have given all the necessary parameters. it is telling that error is in parameter

I have checked it.
i have assigned purch_no_s and purch_no_c of the structure BAPISDHD1(ORDER_HEADER_IN)
in the bapi with customer number.
and also i have assigned the partnumber of the structure BAPIPARNR ORDER_PARTNERS
in the bapi with customer number.
but still , it is diplaying the error message, please enter the sold to or ship to party number.
how to resolve this error.

Is there a way to force href="mailto: to use the default email client

I would like to use the href="mailto:" in my website to automatically open an email but the end user gets the message "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action..."
Is there a way to force to the mailto to use the and user's default email client?

Hi James -
That is the default behavior of browsers when handling the mailto link.
Please keep in mind that nearly half of website visitors do not have an email client as they are using mobile devices or public computers or web-based email like Gmail, MSN mail etc.
Please don't feed the spambots. Best practice is to use an HTML "form" in conjunction with a server-side forms processing script. Ask your hosting provider if they provide one for you.

Left-clicking on a text link in the Yahoo email client under FF10 does nothing.

Right-clicking and selecting "Open link in new tab" or "Open link in new window" does work. Viewing the same email message in IE6 also works. I suspect the Yahoo mail client, since it has been doing a strange thing every now and then, but I do not remember this happening under FF9...
