Problem removing LDAP binding

Hello,
When we set up our 10.6 server we did not know about the message it broadcasts offering to give "services" to clients, ie bind them to LDAP. Last fall several of our boarding students chose this option on their personal macs and they got our school login window and got restricted access to their computer. I showed them how to option-login and deselect management and remember the choice. I then went to the login options and unjoined them from the server.
On at least one machine, this has not reverted the machine to the usual, unmanaged login box. I have trashed all mcx preferences to no avail. How can I remove all traces of the LDAP binding from this machine?

OK, I think I have gotten this done.
The student actually used their full name on their computer account, which of course we also have on our Open Directory setup. I changed this on his computer so that there will be no conflict.
I have also determined that the network information such as the green light will show up on a computer that has never been bound to LDAP.
But it will NOT, as this student's had been, offer the local admin to bypass management or even respond to the option key at login.
After changing the account I ran through all of the deletions mentioned by Antonio, still got the option to bypass management, but I hit "remember" and refresh preferences. That seemed to be the finishing touch. The machine no longer responds to the option key at login.
By the time I did this mcxquery showed "no information available"

Check that there isn't a different Trash folder to the one with the proper Trash symbol on it.
If you see one in your list of folders rather than a separate one, highlight it, then click on Mailbox...Use this mailbox for...Trash

I have a list of 50 user which should be cerated in portal staging(devlopment) machine and should be transfered to
production machine using LDAP
Steps which i followed to create Users
1.Create User Profile with 2 parameters branch and Role
2.I have list user in the Xls file with Username,password ,branch and Role
3.Write a java File which will read the Xls File
4.The users are created in the staging machine for the portal
Steps which i followed in LDAP to tranfer the created User form Devlopment to Production
1.Export the created user from Devlopment (which was moved as .DAT in my local directory)
2.import the user from local direcory to production machine
The Users are imported in the production machine with username and password but the role and branch values are empty
We need a solution for importing the user with role and branch corresponding to each user.

In Portal 8.1, user name and password in stored in LDAP where as user profile values are stored in database. That is the reason you are not able to see the user profile values.
Check once again whether you can see these values through admin tool. In case,it is not(after confirmation again),you might have to use APIs to do this for you incase you dont want to manage through Admin Tool.

I'm having a problem removing a Federation Trust. I have removed the Organisation Relationship successfully. However when I go to remove the trust by Powershell I get the following error

I cant seem to make other changes to it either, I cant add a domain, remove domain. I have seen references to delete the object in the Schema but dont really want to do that unless I know it wont cause other problems as I need to recreate this.

There are few things you need to make sure before you remove the federation, like permissions, TXT records etc.

Problem removing Zombie GS

Hey all. Having a problem removing Zombie Gunship from my Game Center. Basically, I want to delete my current progress and start over, thanks to my nephew messing up my config.
So, I've deleted Zombie GS and it prompts me to remove the data and that my progess will be removed from the leader boards. So I do all that, restart it, blah blah blah. After I've reinstalled the app, my old config/progress/money is still there.
I've emailed the game company and of course no response. So what am I missing or doing wrong? Or is this a situation where I can never start over?

Problem removing files with CVS (JDeveloper 10.1.3 Preview)

I've got a problem removing files from CVS :
- I right-click on the file I want to remove -> Versioning -> Remove
- The file is removed from local directory, and it appears in "Pending changes" view, on "Outgoing" tab. Its status is "scheduled for removal".
- When I commit the file in the "Pending Changes" view, and click OK, then nothing happens. The file stay with "scheduled for removal" status, and it is not deleted on CVS server.
I tried to commit the package or the project, but it's the same thing.
Files additions and modifications work correctly.
I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3 Preview version.
Is this a bug ? Or do I do something wrong ? Is there an other way to solve my problem ?

Problem removing focused object from a table

Hi.
I have a problem removing a component that is focused from a table. The
whole row is removed except a single component (JSpinner) in one row.
My table has three columns, the first two are String fields
(not editable) and the last is a JSpinner. Since there is no
Default cell renderer or cell editor for JSpinner I had to
create them.
So, if no element of the row is focused then calling the function:

setVisible(false);
dataVector.removeAllElements(); // clear data vector
setVisible(true);
works just fine
but if a spinner in a row is focused them that spinner is left alone "floating" on an otherwise empty table.
Questions:
1) Any one has an ideia of what might be the problem?
2) Do I have to play with Focus to solve this? (hate the idea,
since always been told to avoid messing with focus, because
of the problems it normally brings)

The problem is that you need to properly stop the editing operation first.if( myTable.isEditing() ) {

Problem removing session attributes

I have a problem removing session attributes
I try w/ mysession.removeAttribute("key");
but it still lives in memory. I've tried setAttribute("key", null) as the API states that will do the same thing, but it doesn't work.
I can get mysession.invalidate() to work, but I want to keep some of the attributes there, while removing another.
I get no exceptions and no errors.

response.addHeader("Expires", "-1");should be enough.
The browser should then contact the Web server for updates to that page via a conditional If-Modified-Since request. You don't want a cache disabling 'overkill', since you'd still want the page to remain in the disk cache and used in appropriate situations without contacting the remote Web server, such as when the BACK and FORWARD buttons are pressed...
Anyway, try this first, and if it doesn't solve your problem, add the other cache-disabling headers, as outlined in the previous post.
If you're using JSP, verify also that your page has
<%@ page session="true"%>

It appears that I already have a listener service as shown below, and I am having problem removing this service so that I can create another. I know that I can just add a new listener service for each node, though if anyone would share some insight on how I can remove this listener service ofr Oracle 11g Clusterware with two node cluster, I would appreciate your insight. Hi, Is there any tnslsnr process running on the node. To understand the problem better, enable the debug trace for the .lsnr resource. You can enable trace by executing the following command as root.
crsctl debug log res "ora.rac1.LISTENER_RAC1.lsnr:5"
crsctl debug log crs "CRSRTI:1,CRSCOMM:2,OCRSRV:4"
Try to stop the listener.
Examine the log files under CRS_HOME/log/$HOST/crsd/* and CRS_HOME/log/$HOST/racg/*

We're running into problems wrapping C functions that access LDAP in Forte. We are using the Netscape Directory SDK for C (Version 4.0) and have written and compiled C code (on Solaris 2.6) into a shared library that calls out to the Netscape LDAP shared library. The problems arise once they are Forte-wrapped...
I can see from several status messages that I have within both the C functions and the TOOL code that everything is working as it should, however, Forte locks up upon completing any of the functions, and I sometimes get a "libc internal error - rmutex not held" error message. The multithreaded property for this C project is set to FALSE.
Any insights/tips would be appreciated...

Hi Julie,
You can try to turn on multithreading for your C project (multiThreaded -
TRUE) and use your Forte wrapper object to synchronize the access to C
functions (using for example Shared property = IsDefault). Probably, the C
project is not linked with the thread-safe libc if you are using
multiThreaded - FALSE.

10.8.4 removing its binding to the network.

We just patched a 10.8.x MacBook Pro with 10.8.4. I binded to a Windows 2008 domain successfully. Then for some reason the laptop removes its binding from the domain. Is this a bug in the 10.8.4 or is there something else I should look for

I don't see anything relevant (from a search for: print) in the system or service logs. What should I be looking for?

LDAP Bind Failure: Can't contact LDAP server in Presentation Server

I have configured LDAP configuration in the RPD and am able to connect to the LDAP from the BI server. Its returning the information i need when i test through the admin tool. But when i try to log in from the PS using the same network id and password, it gives me the below error:
State: 08004. Code: 10018. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: 08004] [nQSError: 10018] Access for the requested connection is refused. [53003] LDAP bind failure: Can't contact LDAP server. (08004).
I know for sure, the network connectivity is working as i get my results back from the BI Server. Please advise, if i need to change other configurations on the Presentation end. As my network folks have run out of ideas. Thx!

Can you go to the server, open a CMD windows and do "ping nsldap.companyname.com" and see if it works. I have installed OID 10.1.2 for accessing targets databases in 9.2, with oracle enterprise user, and that run correctly when I access to the taget database in local.
If I use sqlnet I receive the error 28030!
