Problem replicating materials

I'm getting an error message when trying to replicate materials from the backend (R/3). I'm using SRM Server 5.0 and our backend is version 4.7.
I'm using transaction R3AS to start inital download of a material. I've defined the filter in transaction R3AC1 for one particular material that does not exist in SRM. I look in the monitor (Tcode R3AM1) and the status is "wait", the additional information states the following "Parent not O.K.:DNL_CUST_PROD1". The material belongs to a product category that already exists in SRM, it was replicated from R/3 earlier.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I start the DNL_CUST_PROD1 download in R3AS and the process starts. I then go into R3AM1 to see progress and messages but the object stays in the running status. When checked SMQ2 of EBP after some time it shows sysfail error
-time limit exceeds.
please advise to resolve this .

We are on SRM_SERVER 500 (SRM 5.0), Support pack SAPKIBKT06.
When replicating materials - we faced the following error.
In SMQ2 we get an error message - SYSFAIL - Error in Mapping (Details: transaction SMW01)
In SMW01 I am able to see some error messages -
No product ID determined for material number P2P SUPPLIES of logical system P2PCLNT100
But we have created the product P2P SUPPLIES in the R/3 system.
Can someone explain what needs to be done?

Issue of Hierarchy when Replicating Materials ECC- CRM

Hello,
We are replicating materials from SAP ECC to SAP CRM, the material got replicated successfully however when I check the material in SAP CRM, the wrong hierarchy is getting assigned to the same(screen shot attached the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP gets assigned however the hierarchy R3PRODHIER needs to get assigned
Please advice, Product Hierarchies have been downloaded in SAP CRM using the relevant middle ware objects

An Earlier material got downloaded in the system correctly containing all 3 categories(screen shot attached below)

Hi Grace,
you just have to run the upgrade program. Nothing really important, just an init step.
For delta upload, once the initial upload is executed, and if the R/3 CRMRFCPAR table is well configured (with an entry for your consumer, object MATERIAL, download type Delta) each new or changes R/3 materials will be replicated automatically (if matching with your custom filter settings).

Error with replicating materials from ERP to CRM 7.0

Hi experts!
After dump (No PXA storage space available at the moment) materials are not replicated from ERP to CRM.
In transaction R3AC1 there are no filters for object MATERIAL.
Replication is managed by transactions R3AR2-R3AR4 with parameters MARA-MATNR.
In transaction SMW01 the status of incoming for material BDOC is green.
But in the bottom of status bar there are some messages appears when clicking the buttons u201CShow BDOC message classic datau201D and u201CShow BDOC message extended datau201D correspondingly:
u2022 No classic data for BDoc message ХХХХХХХ found.
u2022 No extended data for BDoc message ХХХХХХХ found.
The table COMM_PRODUCT is empty.
Can anyone help me ?

Problem replicating catalogs in CRM Internet Sales/E-Commerce 5.0

Good afternoon !
        We have CRM 5.0 SP 8, and we are using the CRM E-Commerce 5.0(also called Internet Sales) to b2b, and, we are experiencing problems during the replication of the Catalogs from the webcatalog url.
        When we try to do a full Catalog replication, we received a timeout error in the web interface, and looking at the SM50 in CRM, the process corresponding elapses the limit of 600 seconds of execution and the Catalog is not replicated.
        Today, we tried to create a new Catalog and replicate it, this worked fine in the first try, so, we add more products at this catalog and tried to full replicate it again, and received the timeout error, so, we tried to execute the delta replication, that didn´t raise error but, when acessing the E-Commerce site, no products was found.
        After this, we tried to create other new Catalog and replicate it but, received the timeout error in web interface again(even for a new catalog).
        Somebody knows what can be happening ? What can I do to solve this problem ?

Error replicating materials from R/3 to SRM

I had to delete all materials from SRM master record to replicate agaim the materials object MATERIAL.
I have for my country one table CRMM_PR_TAX that contaim tax datas that comes with object MATERIAL during replication, after deletion I started the new replication and an error occurr:
Data cannot be maintained for set type CRMM_PR_TAX
Diagnosis
The data for a set can be maintained only if the product is assigned to a category to which the set type is assigned
Procedure
Check whether the product is assigned to a category that allows the set
Please someone knows can I chect it and configur agaim.

Errors while replicating Materials from ECC to SRM

Hi All,
I am trying to replicate materials from R/3 to SRM, in SMQ2 of SRM, the status of MATERIAL is still in yellow colour. when i checked in SMW01 tcode, the error is "Category for material group 013 does not exist" where as in R/3 also we dont have any material group as 013.
All the Prod type & Prod category have been replicated into SRM from R/3.
And no materials have copied in SRM.
how to resolve this ?

Hi,
DNL_CUST_PROD0 & DNL_CUST_PROD1 were in green colour now,
DNL_CUST_BASIS3 is in yellow colour & i saw in some doc that DNL_CUST_BASIS3 is not reqd from SRM7.0 onwards.
when i try to replicate MATERIAL, in SMQ2 i am getting status as SYSFAIL & after double clicking on that i got a pop up as "Error in Mapping (Details: transaction SMW01)"
Upon checking in SMW01 i got the above errors as
" Category for material group 013 does not exist
Message no. COM_PRODUCT_API002
Diagnosis
If material groups are used in the SAP system, they must exist as categories in CRM/EBP before you import materials. When Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1 is imported, the material groups are imported automatically and created in the category hierarchy R3MATCLASS (material group).
Procedure
Check whether the material groups have been imported successfully and exist as categories.
Proceed
If necessary, import the Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1"
Like this its showing 19 material groups and all these 19 mat groups were not present in ECC.

Dear Org management gurus,
we have a stand-alone SRM system which is currently being used as our procurement system in our SAP systemlandscape. We are implementing SRM@ERP to replace this existing stand-alone server. We would like to replicate the PPOMA_BBP Organisation structure from the stand-alone server to SRM@ERP server.
In the source SRM system, we create a distribution model for distributing the organizational units from the source to the target system. The procedure we follow is the same as that for distributing organizational units from an HR system. Organizational units are distributed using the RHALEINI report.
However our current problem is, there is already an existing PPOME organisational structure in our ERP server which is created with number
range 5*. And the same number range is also being used in our existing source SRM system for PPOMA_BBP structure. When we wish
to replicate the structure from source to target system the Org Objects cannot be created due to the number range overlapping.
We are looking for a possibility to replicate the structure and generate Org Objects using a different number range, for ex. 99*.
Can you give us a hint how we can achieve this?

Issue while replicating materials into SRM

Hi Experts,
We are using SRM 5.0 Extended Classic Scenario. I was able to replicate material groups successfully but when i try to replicate Materials, the Queue ends up in a SYS_FAIL error. i tried deleting all the previous queues and tried many ways but still not able to understand what is going wrong. I checked the SMW01 for any error BDOC messages but i cant find anything.
Any suggestions or thoughts as to what i need to check ? Will award points .

PROBLEMS Replicating OpenDirectory In Mavericks (from MountainLion upg)?

After our 2 week struggle getting OD to replicate properly I felt obligated to share the uncomfortable experience in case anyone was having similar issues.
There's far too much information to be laid down here in this thread as far as what didn't work for our setup. So I'll keep it simple by explaining our desired set-up and how we were able to achieve it.
[Desired Set-Up]
Ultimately we wanted to have 3 OD/DNS servers over two physically different networks (between state lines). Two of the servers (1 OD master / 1 OD replica) would be in one state while the third (OD replica) would be in the other. The master would be a Network Time Server and an OD Master hosting primary DNS zones. Each replica would be a OD replica hosting secondary DNS zones and would be looking to the master as the Network Time Server.
[Set-Up Symptoms]
What we were experiencing was that we could only ever get one server to properly replicate to the Master. This didn't matter if it was the replica that happened to be in the same state as the Master or if it were the replica in the other state. It was simply whichever replica first replicated to the master.
It's worth mentioning that each replica machine was set only to look at the master for DNS queries. Additionally, each replica was set to look at the master as a network time server in SystemPreferences>Date & Time.
[Successful Set-Up - Configuration]
*Assuming you're wanting to upgrade your 10.8 server to 10.9. Otherwise, you'll have to skip some steps.
(master)
<pre-upgrade>
(1) turn off all services
(2) install Mavericks
<post-upgrade>
(3) patch Mavericks to 10.9.3 if necessary
(4) install the new Server app and patch to 3.1.2
(5) launch Server to update services
(6) re-enable services
(7) verify DNS is working properly
(8) re-setup OD master service b/c replica tree will be portrayed inaccurate:
 i) archive OD using the cog-wheel option
 ii) use the sudo slapconfig -destroyldapserver command
 iii) using Directory Utility <System/Library/CoreServices/Directory Utility> navigate to the Directory Editor tab and choose your LDAP node and clear out old replica computer references in the Computers drop-down and in the ComputerGroups drop-down delete old replica references in the GroupMember, GroupMembership, and Member subsections.
 iv) restore OD from archive
(each replica)
* repeat steps 1-7
(8) in the server settings check the "allow remote login using SSH" & "allow remote administration using Server" checkboxes
(9) re-setup OD replica b/c replica tree will be portrayed inaccurate:
 i) use the sudo slapconfig -destroyldapserver command
(10) verify each replica server has FireWall access to udp port 123
(11) turn OD service on and select the option to join an existing domain
* for us, between OR and CA this process took roughly an hour on a 3 Mbps pipe between the two locations.
 i) once replicated, go to Certificates and use the newly created master generated cert.
(12) after successful replication (first on the master then on each replica) in the Services section of Directory Utility edit the LDAPv3 node settings to use SSL
[Successful Set-Up - Attempted Explanation]
As I mentioned earlier, we were trying to set-up one master with two replicas. Anything shy of this configuration is considered a failed attempt. It seems as though the limiting factor in several failed attempts is step 10. After scouring the logs from each and every attempt there was a clue indicating at some point during the replica set-up the machine was trying to reach an external time server (Apple's). Up until the point of successful configuration, our replica machines had always been referencing our company's internal network time server on the master (which was pointing to nist.gov). Each replica also previously wasn't allowed FireWall access on udp port 123 (which is used to communicated with time servers). It wasn't until we granted FireWall access to the replicas that we were able to successfully replicate (both machines) to the master. This was a wholly unintuitive aspect to the whole process. We may have discovered a way around a bug in this version of Mavericks and/or Server app. Another gotchya is step 12. Until you enable SSL between master and replicas, you'll keep getting rsync errors in the logs. Enabling SSL will resolve this aspect. We didn't re-create the environment to keep testing these findings because we had spent so long trying to get a working set-up we just stuck with it as soon as it was achieved it.

kinda late but pretty sure it's the WD 3.0 USB Drivers, just uninstall them or manually remove /System/Library/Extensions/SMARTLib.plugin

Replicating materials. Item category group is empty.

I am loading material from R/3 to product in the CRM.
I am use BDOC MATERIAL.
I see that field 'Item category group' in the product in CRM is empty, but material in the R/3 system is filled.
Anybody ideas?

Hi Denis,
Make sure the required item category groups are manually entered in the CRM table CRMV_ITEM_CAT_GR. If a specific item category group is missing in this table, then during the material download this field remain empty.
Maintain the required entry and then download the MATERIAL again

Problems replicating plants from R3

Hi,
I have been struggling with syncronising plants from ECC to SRM.
In ECC i have 3 plants, (0001, 1000, 2000). I have run BBP_LOCATIONS_GET in SE38. 0001 and 1000 transfer fine when viewing the SLG1 report.
Plant 2000 errors with "Location already exists, partner 0000000102 Plant 1000 System: ERQCLNT300 The plant is a duplicate in the same system plant:2.
It seems to be trying to recreate plant 2000 as the same partner as plant 1000.
is my setup wrong in ecc somewhere?!
To create plant 2000 in ecc, I copied plant 1000 and changed the address and company details.
Any help that can be offered wil lbe greatly appreciated.

its ok.
0001, 1000, 2000 - these three plants are available in bbp_locmap TABLE right. no issues
now you have to map them in the organisation structure - Extended attribute --> LOCATIONS

Replication of Materials and services from R/3 to SRM

Hello,
I would like to get some advice about replicating materials and services from R/3 46C to SRM 5.0.
I replicated the objects succesfully in Development and the Test environment but now i have to do it in a Productive environment.
We use about 40.000 material and 5000 services in R/3.
Im concerned about the timing of the process.
How long will this aproximately take to replicate this amount of data?
What will be the best time to start replicating?
Is there any inconvenience in replicating during the normal working hours?
What happens if a user is currently using a material during the replication process? Is the material replicated anyway?

This depends on the Production System Resources and the processes available. But for the number you have projected here should not take more than 2 - 3 hours at the max.
What will be the best time to start replicating?
Is there any inconvenience in replicating during the normal working hours?
What happens if a user is currently using a material during the replication process? Is the material replicated anyway?
It better to perform the activity during the night / production outtage time. Ideally users should be allowed to use them after the replication process. So, please do not perform this during business hours or when there are end users in the system. You can just trigger the replciation in the night and it should be completed in few hours. Besides, if there are any background activities the workprocesses will be occupied (very common in business hours) and hence there will not be enough processes for the replication job. This will increase the time for replication by many folds.
