Problem restoring configuration folder

Hi all,
I have DW MX2004 and have moved to a new computer. I copied
the configuration folder from my back up to the new disk but I
still don't see any of the sites I had configured when I open DW. I
see them all in the SiteCache folder under configuration but they
don't show up in DW.
Any ideas? Thanks.

The site definitions are not stored in the Configuration
folder. They are
stored in the Registry in Windows and in the Library in OSX.
If you have access to the old system, you can just use DW's
Site manager to
EXPORT the site definitions, and then IMPORT into the new DW
instance.

CD Configuration FOlder Problem

Everytime I open up my iTunes i get this message "iTunes cannot locate the CD Configuration folder, so you cannot import or burn CDs. The folder must be in the same directory as iTunes."
I know where the CD Configuration folder is and it is in the same directory as iTunes (i think) when i got my external harddrive i just took everything iTunes and copied and pasted it into a folder there. THe CD Configuration folder and itunes are all in a folder together. What is wrong?

just doublechecking something here. are you saying you cut and pasted all the itunes program files from one drive to another? (the ones that normally live in C:\Program files\iTunes\?)

Bluetooth problem & restoring system software

i am running a ppc mini with built-in bluetooth module that stopped working shortly after i bought it. i have been doing a lot of research into the 'missing bluetooth' problem which may be the result of an os update, judging by what other users report.
the bluetooth symbol in the menu bar has the squiggly line through it, and clicking on it reveals 'bluetooth: not available'. to try and resurrect this bluetooth module i have tried the following: restarting, repair permissions, using disk utility, using tech tool, resetting the pmu, resetting the pram, deleting the 'system configuration' folder in ~/Library/Preferences... but it's still dead.
someone has suggested that i could restore the system software, and this is where i need some advice:
apparently the bluetooth system driver may be missing which could be reinstalled with the system restore. the mini originally shipped with 10.3.x, which i updated to 10.3.9, then last month upgraded to 10.4.x and used the recent update to reach 10.4.8, which is what i'm currently using (i haven't yet updated to 10.4.9 amidst the problems people have been reporting - i have enough problems to worry about!).
do i restore my original 10.3.x software which shipped mith my mini, or do i restore the 10.4.x software to which i have upgraded? and in either case must i use a system restore disk which came with the mini, or software which is available for download?
any help would be greatly appreciated. lee.

Have you ever considered that the problem is hardware and not software?
However, if you wish to restore your system from scratch you will have to do so from whatever system disks you have, 10.3 or a retail set of 10.4 disks which is what I am guessing you used to update to 10.4 in the first place.

Resource file in configuration folder

Hi, I've run into a slight problem with Dreamweaver the other day. I was moving the icon and it accidentally was dropped into the trash.
I took the icon out and have it in the Dock again, but I can't get the icon back into the Creative Suite folders for some reason.
Now everytime I try to load Dreamweaver--from the Dock or the icon that I have on the Desktop it gives me the same error.
"Could not locate the Resources file in the Configuration folder.
This file is required to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall the application."
And now I'm puzzled and lost as to what to do to get Dreamweaver up and running again.
I'm running CS5 and on a Mac. 10.6.8 version.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Never mind. I was plying around with it again and figured it out. I had to move the actual file from the desktop into the application folders via finder. And now it works perfectly.

Problem in configuring third party JMS provider

I am having a problem in configuring Sun MQ 4.4 JMS provider with weblogic 10.3.I tried the following method:-
1. Created a new outbound connection pool.
2.In the properties for the connection pool :-
ConnetionFactory Location :- myTestCF (this is the remote connection factory JNDI)
Factory properties :- java.naming.factory.initial=com.sun.jndi.fscontext.RefFSContextFactory;java.naming.provider.url=file:/C:/my_object_store;java.naming.security.principal=admin;java.naming.security.credentials=admin
3.Provided the username and password also.
But when I am testing it from a SOA composite through a JMS adapter, it is giving me an exception indicating it could not locate the connection factory.I am clueless why this is happening.I've also tried with putting the sun mq jar files inside the <%wl_home%>/user_projects/domains/<%my_domain%>/lib folder.But it did not work.Please help.

In third party process SO / PR / PO should be in integrity. Your manual modification violates this I think (you are making one PO item from two SO item...).

Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
When you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order.

Problem restoring iTunes backup from Time Capsule

I had to reformat the hard disk on my daughters macbook and I'm having problems restoring the iTunes library. I have copied the iTunes folder onto the Macintosh Hard drive and receive this error message when I try to open iTunes saying that the .xml file is missing. Would appreciate some help.

Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Restore the iPhone.

SPA122, "Restore Configuration" not working.

Hi,
I can't restore .cfg files on the Config Management menu. The "browse" button
is not active and i can't load a file. The firmware version is 1.3.1. Tested with Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome
Internet Explorer (old V6), same results. I haven't got problems with firmware upgrade or backup configuration menu.

Well, i saved my configuration with the config manager, do one RESET with the phone (73738#). Logon on the PC with 192.168.15.1 (Yellow LAN port). And the restore configuration is active! But when i restore my .cfg file the SPA122 don't work well. The VoIP line is working but the PC connected to the yellow LAN does not work, can't get IP address (0.0.0.0).
(I reboot PC, SPA and router,same thing).
To reproduce the bug simply put the SPA in Bridge mode in Network service.
My SPA is in bridge mode and got one PC on the yellow LAN port. The SPA122 and the PC got static IP address from the ADSL router in DHCP. SPA -> 192.168.1.70 and the PC -> 192.168.1.64.

Cd configuration folder must be in same directory as itunes?

when i open itunes 7, i get a message that itunes cannot locate my cd configuration folder, & it must be in the same directory as itunes to import or burn cd's.
the thing is, it IS in the same directory. & i didn't have that problem until i downloaded itunes 7. i tried reinstalling the program, but that didn't work. when i try to burn a cd anyway, i get a message that my disc burner or software was not found.
any suggestions?

Try reinstalling itunes and select the "repair" option. I found that correct this problem.

Error when trying to restore mail-folder

Hi.
I've done a complete re-installation af Snow Leopard.
When trying to restore the mail folder via Time Machine i'm told: "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for "mail'" I seems to me that i have both privileges to read and write in the folder.
I have no problems restoring my pictures and the likes?
Can you please help me?

Css file in dreamweaver configuration folder?

while working with a dreamweaver page im getting messages asking me if I want to save a css file located in my dreamweaver configuration folder.
this is somewhat disconcerting as I have never saved anything to that folder.
Is this issue a problem and if so what can I do to resolve it?

I think you can safely ignore this message. I'm not sure why you are getting it, but it refers to a temporary file, perhaps created when you did a browser preview.

Restoring a folder from time machine.

I have updated to 10.7.4 and after having problems with "home" directory permissions, I reset the home directory permissions as per "http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4040". My filesaving problems seemed to be ok after that.
Time machine has since performed a backup but to test a problem I had before upgrading, I again tried to restore a folder from time machine. The folder was in ~library/applications support/"appname"/"folder"... I deleted the old folder first (after copying it of course).
The folder restore failed with this message:-
I checked the file on the time machine backups and it shows me as the owner in group "staff" which appears fine for Lion. The old file I had copied showed the same permissions.
I restored the copied library and tried to restore a single file after a similar procedure with the same error relating to the particular file.
It seems to be a permissions problem at a higher level but at this point I seek a few pointers.
Lion seems to have broken time machine and also introduced various permission problems. The referenced doc indeed addresses that but it should not even be an issue - if Apple techos know about it why does it even happen ??
A more major issue is that there must be millions out there relying on the once reliable (and the best backup system I have aver seen in 30 years of computing) time machine for backups - if that now fails, it is basically useless. Apple techos dont seem to actually test their updates anymore - this should never happen - work arounds or not.
Appreciate any help here. I dont want to wait until I REALLY need it.

I don't use TM, so don't know if there's a simpler solution. The issue's whether or not you want to restore the folder or not. Only you can answer that.

i didnt replace the screen on my verizon iphone, but i have had several problems in the past with restoring, however they are always easily solved for me by plugging into another computer and restoring from there once its restored off that computer you can then plug back into your computer and put your info back on.
also remember to copy the ipsw from your iphone software updates folder onto a flash drive and onto the computer you are using to update to save yourself form downloading the ipsw on that computer (if it is not already on that computer). then just do an option restore by holding option key when you hit restore and select the ipsw you want to restore to.

Restoring previous folder with photos.

While traveling I use a an older Macbook pro 15" to edit and move RAW files btw card reader to my Ipod classic 80gb. The problem is that I misplaced the same named folder which was on my Macbook to the same folder on Ipod. So it of course asked if I should replace it. Which I mistakenly did. Now the folder which was on the Macbook was only the edited files meaning the whole folder was 1.61 gb but the folder with the same name on my Ipod is + 30 gb.
Is there anyway I can restore this folder on my Ipod?
In the whole period I do not run any backup function on the macbook.

There are data recovery utilities, for example

In your case, you have a better chance of success, because the data is on an separate drive from your startup disk. Use that iPod as little as possible, especially for syncing with iTunes (avoid doing so). If the space previously used by the data files you want to recover is NOT over-written by new data files, a data recovery program may be able to recover some or all of the files.

When I restored my phone from icloud, half of my pics and videos have been deleted, the pics that were restored on my phone are very blurry, and the videos won't play. I get a message on my phone that says " the URL you are requesting is not found on this server". I have erased and reset my phone twice, but every time I do it, more pics and videos are deleted. I have backed up to icloud and iphoto, however, some of the pics are no longer on iphoto either. Is there someway to get the videos to play on my phone again? Make the photos not as blurry as they are now and to restore the pics and videos that have been lost? I really would love to have them back, this phone is supposed to be the best and right now it doesn't seem to be. Please help if you can.

I too have noticed that once i restored from iCloud. Pictures blurry and videos wont play!
