Problem RTF export on 3.1.1

Hi,
I have two problems :
The first is about reporting:
I want to param the filename of the report with concat of SYSDATE and another
substition string.
So the filename field are not interpreted at the execution.
The second problem is about interactive report.
I want to offer the RTF export, but in the form only CSV and PDF are proposed.
Without BI installation, is it possible ?

Hello,
1. You can store the SYSDATE in a page item and use that as your filename like &PAGE_ITEM.
2. To use RTF, yes you'll need BI Publisher

I created reports in Visual Studio 2008 with crystal reports basic, i then upgraded to Crystal reports 2008 so i could be able to export them as EditableRTF. My first problem was i could not open my reports in VS 2008 anymore, but i do open them in The CR 2008 IDE. My problem now is when i export my reports my report header appears underneath my page header and my page number stays one. I noticed this happens when i export a report as EditableRTF.How can i Export my report to be editable without having this problems?
using cr 2008 v1 (for cr server) i was not able to reproduce this issue when exporting to RTF.
when exporting to Word, Editable, i can see this issue. mostly because the word export has the cr page header info going into the word page header.
as the word export is essentially an RTF export anyway, i would recommend getting the latest patches / service pack for your cr and the RTF export should be what you're looking for.

ID3 crashes upon RTF export

I have ID CS3 (5.0.3) running on a Windows XP Pro SP2 machine. The computer is embedded in our company's IT network.
When I try to export the contents of an ID document to RTF, the application quits with two remarks ('The command xxx points to memory "0x00000000"', followed by 'The exception "unknown software exception" xxx has occured in the application at location xxx').
This had been the case with my former CS2 installation too, so I suspect some driver or service to interrupt the export process. And yes, I have consulted Adobe technical customer service. But they just sent me the common list which a step-by-step description of troubleshooting together with the remark that further assistance will be only available via a support plan. Just build in some bugs and then sell support plans to the customers! Tsts...
I tried all troubleshooting steps except for disabling all services (which must result in a catastrophe on an network client!) but disabled the ones I know not to affect networking, but to no avail.
But: I didn't deactivate the service 'nerocheck.exe', which suppresses loading of DLLs which might interfere with Nero's burning software. I would like to turn it off to see whether it affects the RTF export. But just disabling this service has been reported to result in blue screens sometimes. Has anyone experienced problems with this service?
Is there another way to export the contents of a CS3 document to RTF or Word? I have tried Rorohiko's Text Exporter plugin but it results in the same behavior.

By "embedded computer" (might be a misnomer) I mean the computer is part of our company's network: I have access to network resources and the IT admins have full access to my computer (software installation and survey, maintenance, ...). When all networking services are disabled, the computer will not boot up.
Of course I can export to PDF and grab the text from there. But this usually implies more or less heavy modifications to the layout in MS Word. And I have to set up a workflow for the future where I will import MS Word documents (from our technicians and developers) into ID and on demand export to RTF/Word for the developers to modificate the documents, which in turn will be imported to ID again for finalizing. So a temporary workaround is of no real use.
I cannot export to text, either. ID shows exactly the same behavior as in the case of RTF export. I can export to PDF and to EPS.

Having problems when exporting .swf file as an animated gif

Hi:
I was wondering if anyone has ever had any issues exporting a
flash file as an animated gif? When I do so, the image quality is
very compromised and the animation is distorted. I know this is not
very specific question, but I have never encountered this issue
before, and I am trying to help a co-worker. I don't understand why
it looks exactly the way we want it to look as an swf file, but not
as an animated gif? Can anyone point me in the right direction as
to what to look for as the potential source of this problem? I have
the swf file, although this would not be very helpful as I don't
have access to the flash file (but I can send it to you if that
would help). We tried unchecking the feature to optimize the image,
and changed the color pallete to adaptive, but this didn't solve
the problem. I also tried removing any unnecessary layers prior to
the export. Basically, I'm not sure as to how to proceed and what
may be causing the problem. I also want to mention there is a
placed image on the stage. Could the type of image placed be
causing the problem when exporting to a gif file, but not as a
.swf? If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it! Thanks.

I also wanted to mention that the swf file uses sound. I am
reading an old book that I have on Flash and it's saying that Flash
and Shockwave Flash enter a special mode when they encounter a
stream sound in which the animation is forced to keep up with the
sound track, if the animation frames can not be drawn quickly
enough, some frames are skipped. I am also reading that the
animated gif format does not support sound. Again, the only
reference I have is for a very old version of flash, and I'm not
sure it applies to CS3. I am now just thinking that the sound may
be the issue.

To download such characteres you need to adjust code page to be used during export. You can review SAP note 73606 to identify which code page is required for this language

Problem in Exporting a Report Group having a Report Painter Report.

I am having a problem in exporting a Report group having a Report Painter report.When I am trying to export the Report Group using transaction GR57 with all dependent objects,it is displaying:
       group 0102CPDNUEA-CCROSI not transported.
       Transport groups separately if necessary.
There are 6 such groups which are not transported.Can anybody help me in this regards.Can anybody help me in exporting these Groups.Specifically in Report painter reports what do these Groups signify and how can we see them.Please help me....

I am able to export my report groups with dependent objects successfully.
I dont know why you are getting error message. Just keep break point at ***** and execute it for single group and find out why it is giving error.

Problem in exporting ALV Report to excel sheet

Hi All,
I have developed a Report and now facing problem in exporting the same to excel sheet.
When we click the "Locate File" icon in the report layout, the system will pop up a window with radio buttons. I have opted for 'Spreadsheet'.
When i save the excel sheet into my desktop, the excel file has all the report headers (Title of each column). But no value is exported.
There are around 15 columns in the report and the excel sheet shows value of last 2 columns which has some text.
I have been into ALV report development and developed around 30+ reports in the same fashion.
What might be the reason behind this issue?
When i export other reports into excel sheet, everything is perfect without any flaws......

Here's my suggestion: Install OpenOffice.org and ask SAP to deliver good integration with OpenOffice.org.
Alternative suggestion: re-install SAP Gui on the PC where the integration is not working. If that does not help, re-install Microsoft Office as well.
Here's my comment: I think you should ask this question in a different forum, e.g. in the Duet forum. That may not be the correct forum either, but as it is a Microsoft/SAP integration technology forum, someone there may know the solution.

Problem with exporting a report to excel vial citrix server

Hi,
We are encountering a problem with exporting a report to excel through ALV local file icon.A spread sheet is downloading only one row (From header) instead of many rows from the ALV output .
Above is working fine for the GUI installed on my PC, but not throgh the Citrix server.
Can any body have idea on above mentined?

I understand that you're trying to download the file to a local computer through Citrix. In this case you need autorizations in Citrix for your user ( CItrix user)

Problem using Export in Oracle 8.1.6.

I have a problem using export utility in oracle 8i.
I got a message:
EXP-00056: ORACLE error 942 encountered
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully
I tried running CATPROC.sql and CATEXP.sql but it did not correct the problem.

You may want to try using the error lookup tool available here, http://otn.oracle.com/pls/tahiti/tahiti.homepage?remark=tahiti You may be able to find the answer even though the error lookup tools is for 8.1.7 version. Otherwise, you can search the db discussion forums to see if this issue has been discussed already.

Hyperlink problem when exporting to PDF

We are using Crystal Reports XI R2 and having a problem when exporting a report to PDF that contains a Hyperlink to "A File". The hyperlink works correctly when previewed inside Crystal but when it is exported to a PDF the text does not appear to show any hyperlink at all. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

I'm having problem with exporting video from premiere pro cc 2014

I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 and I'm having problem with exporting video.
When I click Export and media, the window for exporting appears and it starts exporting video.
But after a few minutes, it looks like it has completed exporting video and says there's a bug in exporting.
It literally says it has a problem with compiling, but I don't know what the real problem is.
I tried many things like restarting computer and Premire Pro but it's no use.
But it works when I use Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014 for exporting video.
If anyone knows any possibilities about why this problem happens, please let me know.

I'm having a similar issue. When I go to export my project, I add it to the render queue, set it up with the h.264 settings that I've used with countless past versions of the program, and then hit render. Randomly, at some point in the process, the render just stops and the ETA just keeps climbing. I actually had to save an XMF file of the CC 2014 project and bring it into the previous CC version of Premiere just to finish it. Even a clean re-install of CC 2014 doesn't work.

Problem in Exporting to Excel 2007 using CRServer 2008

Can anyone please help me know the difference between Crystal Reports Server 2008 and Business Objects XI R2? Both the support guides says that it supports Office 2007. I have a problem in exporting the reports to Excel 2007 .I have downloaded the trial version of Crystal Reports Server 2008 but still unable to view my complete reports in Excel 2007 through infoview because few of my report's colums are truncated and it still exports in Excel 2003.I have LiveOfficeXIR2_SP4 and Office 2007 installed. Is it so that i have to switch over to Business Objects XI R2 or any other to solve my problem instead of using Crystal Reports Server 2008 or is it the problem with the version of my Live office.Pls help me regarding this..

First Thank you for your reply..I have already tried exporting it in Excel 2003 but since the limit is upto 256 columns and that my report's content exceeds this limit, few of the columns are truncated. Thats why i thought that it would be better to export it in Excel 2007. But i could'nt find any way to do it so..Pls help me if there is any other way..

Major "BUG" in Imovie 9 - Audio Sync Problem on Export !

Well I'm a hard-core Apple user from day one, but unfortunately today I'm not to proud about the latest version of Imovie 9.
It seems there has been a "MAJOR audio sync problem on export" in Imovie 9, since July 2009. Apple knows about this bug for a long time now, but didn't release any bugfix yet!
Here's what it's all about:
It seems if you use the (custom /manual) speed-adjustments and not the preset slider speeds, you will experience (after exporting your movie) annoying bursts of audio from clips that had been set to mude. The strange thing is that you will only experience this audio-bug after exporting, you will NOT experience it in the project playback mode!
Here's what you can do:
Find ALL the clips in your Project that are Speed Adjusted.
Instead of using a "Custom Speed" percentage, use any of the "Preset Speeds"
Preset Speeds on the Slider = 12.5%, 25%, 50%, 100%, 200%, 400%, 800%
Then, export your project as usual.
No more sync issues.
Really hope That Apple will come up with a real BUGFIX soon.
It's a shame that a major bug in a otherwise GREAT PRODUCT, hasen't been fixed yet!

This is TERRIBLE! I have spent so much time working on this project, and I really don't want to adjust the speed settings to the preset levels, BECAUSE I need to motion of the video to match certain musical points. I can't re-film my video, and I needed this project done TODAY. I made a music video with some kids at summer camp, and today is the last day- the day we were supposed to all watch it together, and now, I've got NOTHING!!!! (Because I can't export it without all those glitches!)
I am MAJORLY DISAPPOINTED on this one. I've made movies in windows movie maker before, and purposely used imovie, because you know, everything on macs is supposed to be better. Well, I guess I was wrong.

I reboot the non-global zone, even reboot global-zone, and after that, in sapdev zone, there is no /dev/*lofi/* files.

I experienced the same problem on my system Sol 10 08/07.
Normally, when the zone enters the READY state during boot, it's zoneadmd will run devfsadm -z <zone>. In my understanding this is to create the necessary device files in ZONEPATH/dev.
This worked well until recently. Now only the directories are still created.
It seems as if devfsadm -z is broken. Somebody should issue a call to sun.
As a workaround you can easily copy the device files into the zone. It is important not to copy the symbolic link but the target.
# cp /dev/lofi/1 ZONEPATH/dev/lofi
