Problem running flash pc AutoRun.ini file on bootcamp

prepared a flash autorun file for use on a PC to auto start a Cd when inserted. should i be able to use same file to start up cd in bootcamp on a mac?

thanks again for your patience and assistance......
when i went to the first link you suggested it mentioned that if we had an exe. file (which we do) we did not really need to worry if the receiving Pc had a flash player currently installed. the implication is that the exe file somehow was a self contained player or am i interpreting this wrong.
our exact files (6 in all) are AutoRun.inf, exe, swf, (2) flv flash video files and another application (universal) file. .
these files create a graphic menu with a built-in video window in which the 2 flash video files can be viewed when a "play" button is selected.
When the cd is inserted into a standalone PC the menu comes up automatically, then the viewer can select from 2 play buttons to play the videos.

  • Problems running Flash Builder 4.6 profiler

    Hello,
I have a problem running Flash Builder profiler. When I click "Profile" it starts my web application, but nothing else happens inside Flash Builder itself - no new data appears in Profiler perspective, Flash Builder itself doesn't show any sign of doing something.
My mm.cfg contains the next line: "PreloadSwf=C:/flash builder workspace/.metadata/.plugins/com.adobe.flash.profiler/11/ProfilerAgent.swf?host=localhost &port=9999"
    Additional details:
    OS: Windows 7
    Flash Builder version: 4.6
Tested web browsers: Firefox, IE 8 - the same problem in both of them
    Flash player versions: ActiveX/Plug-in Version:11.7.700.169
I made sure that ProfilerAgent.swf indeed exists in the location defined in mm.cfg. In addition, I tried to change port 9999 to other ports (both in mm.cfg and in Flash Builder). I also verified that the location of ProfilerAgent.swf appears in trusted locations of Flash Player.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me to solve this problem.
    Thanks,
    Valeria

This sounds like something has gone wrong during installation. CSAR and CSLIBS references should be set up automatically during installation.
There should also be no need to import the Flex SDKs as CS Extension Builder 2.0 ships with them included. It won't do any harm though having the CS Flex SDKs imported.
Can you detail how you installed CS Extension Builder 2.0, please and where you obtained it from?
Here are the installation instructions I would recommend starting from a clean FlashBuilder 4.6 instance:
To install Adobe Creative Suite Extension Builder, download the ZIP file and unzip it into a root location (SDKRoot).
Install Extension Builder in Eclipse with Flash Builder or Flash Builder Standalone:
In Eclipse, choose Help > Install New Software.
In the Install dialog, click Add.
In the Add Site dialog, click Local... to browse to the SDK root folder or enter the URL of the update site.
Name the site CS SDK and click OK to confirm the changes.
Select the new CS SDK site in the "Work with" field.
-- Select all the Adobe Creative Suite Extension Builder components.
-- Click Next to confirm the selection.
In the Install Details review dialog, click Next to confirm that you want to install all the components listed.
Accept the terms of license agreements and click Finish.
    Re-start  Eclipse as recommended.
I obtained it from Adobe and installed it using the Help > Install software option, but without unzipping it. Maybe that was it.
Now I've done a clean installation and it works perfect. I did it with administrator permissions, don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I read it somewhere and did so just in case!
    Thanks a lot!

  • Problems running Flash 11.7.700.224 on Fire Fox 22.0

Problems running Flash 11.7.700.224 on Windows 8, browser Fire Fox 22.0. Plug-in crashing and/or not responsive messages; browser hanging and/or slow, especially when opening new windows; You Tube videos error messages; Flash not detected on Adobe Troubleshooting page, even though installed; Flash content loads but does not display in window (no frame, or black or white screen in frame). Thank you for any reply, hopefully simple -I'm not technically inclined.

After using Flash player 11.8.800.94 for one day, it crashed.
So, I uninstalled it using the uninstaller provided by adobe then
    disabled avast then
    reinstalled 11.8.800.94.
Attempted to restart, but got this error message:
The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x74c02005.
While writing it down, restart reverted to desktop.
Successfully restarted and opened FF22.0 browser and
went here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html#main_Find_the_Flash_ Player_version_installed_on_your_machine to check version.
I could not see the Flash movie, the version checker said that Flash Player is not installed -- even though it shows Shockwave Flash 11.8.800.94 installed on the plugins list on Fire fox add-ons manager.
Is there a difference between Flash Player 11.8.800.94 and the latest Flash Player plugin for Fire Fox, or are they the same thing?
I have no idea how to fix this and not finding any clear answers on any of the other discussion question pages on this topic.
Can anyone from Adobe please help?

  • Is anyone else having problems running Flash Player on Mountain Lion?

After installing Flash Player on my MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion, my computer started crashing when I put it to sleep.  When I uninstalled Flash, I no longer had the problem.  Is anyone else having problems like this with Flash Player?  Is this an issue with Mountain Lion or Adobe?  Is there a fix for it, or am I just out of luck with the prospect of running Flash Player on my new Mac?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Problems running flash

I recently tried to update Flash and after lots of install
problems I was able to successful install it, but it does not
    work...
When I use Adobe's test page on IE
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/,
it shows that Shockwave is good but for Flash, it displays that I
need the latest and java script enabled. I test javascript enabled
and it shows that it is enabled.
On the same PC I have SeaMonkey installed and it shows both
are working fine. I'm using Flash 9.0 r115
Any suggestions on why it is not workig on IE?

    Hi Kyp36,
If this issue is related to incorrect permissions in the
Windows system registry, we have been using the following
    instructions to resolve these issues.
Please download the following to your desktop.
    http://www.supportflash.com/reset_min.zip
    1. unzip the “reset_minimal.cmd” and the
    “subinacl.exe” to the desktop
*** Make sure both files are on the desktop***
    2. Close out all applications
    3. Run the “reset.cmd” file
    4. It will open a DOS like terminal
    5. When it is finished it will say “press any key to
    continue”
    6. At this point you can download the latest Flash Player
    from here:

  • Problem running Flash 11.8

I have updated my flashplayer and have not been able to use it.  I have gone to websites and they still say I need 10.0 or higher.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache and done most of the suggestions on Troubleshooting with no luck.  I checked the version of Flash andd it states it is a 32-bit, I run a 64 bit system.  Is this a problem? Is there a 64-bit Flash 11?  Is there another solution?  I am getting really frustrated since I have been trying to deal with this for almost a week.

On 64-bit systems the Flash Player installer will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit players.

  • Problems Running Flash MX

I've been trying and trying and trying.... NOTHING IS
WORKING! Please, if anyone knows why my flash program is no longer
starting up, tell me before I go crazy!
I recently got a new MacBook Pro and did the entire system
transfer via the Firewire. Now I cannot open flash. All I get is a
"Program Unexpectedly Quit" error message just after selecting the
program to open. I've tried to reload flash from a friend's CD, but
for some reason, it won't let me re-input ANY liscense number, and
keeps giving me the same dumb error code. As I downloaded this
program overseas, and it's been about a year, I have lost my
liscense number, and my copy of the program in the move, and don't
have the money to replace it. Is there some way I can fix this
program without ending up broke and/or out of a program that was
too expensive in the first place?!

    First,
you can't *copy* program files onto a new OS and expect them
to run - they must be installed
    (usually) by the installer.
    second,
You can't *borrow* a friends' license key - that is called
    piracy (stealing).
    Third,
if you downloaded this product from Macromedia then you had
to have created an account with them
which is now Adobe - your account should still exist. This is
good news because all you really need
to do is log back into your account and see your order
history or if that doesn't provide the
license key - then simply contact customer support with your
    account details handy.
They will be able to provide you with your key.
I would uninstall it completely once you get the key from
them - then reinstall using the original
    installer.

  • Having problems running flash games

hello, I frequently play flash games on, what I consider to be, reputable websites; places like bored, 4v4, notdoppler, gamershood, and phyiscsgames24.
however some of these games do not work on my computer, they either; load, and I am unable to continue past a certain point (usually the title screen, or level select screen) because none of the button images respond to clicks); or they load an image, but there isn't anything that looks clickable in the flash; or they remain blank (or white) until I close them (~10 minutes after loading them). I've tried many of them in different browsers: Firefox (multiple versions), Google Chrome (multiple versions) and internet explorer (multiple versions) and if a game doesn't work in one of them it hasn't worked in the others either. as well as this problem has existed over multiple version updates of the player plugin. I've had this problem for years on Windows Vista Ultimate, and it's continuing in Windows 7 (same laptop, upgraded OS). I was successful in playing games on notdoppler on a different computer that ran old Internet explorer 6 and windows XP.
I talked with support on Notdoppler, and he said the games were working for him
how do I get these games to work for me, in all of my browsers?

  • Problem running Flash Builder on OSX 10.8.3

    Hi,
I am having no luck getting Flash Builder to run under OSX. I have tried reinstalling the JDK and JRE multiple times but I still get this message every time I attempt to start the application.
A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run Adobe Flash Builder 4.7. No Java virtual machinewas found after searching the following locations:/Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7/Adobe Flash Builder 4.7.app/Contents/MacOS/jre/bin/javajava in your current PATH
Does anyone have any ideas how to overcome this issue?

I just installed 10.8, can't get FB to work either. Did you resolve this issue?

  • Unable to run Flash Catalyst

I work in a college and we are having problems running Flash Catalyst CS5 under student accounts. Staff and Admins can run the programs fine but when students run FC they get the following:
An error has occurred. See the log file \\socapp02\Application Data\Adobe\Flash Catalyst\configuration\1295616721438.log
The annoying part is that the path it has saved the log to doesn't exist and I can't find the log on the local station, user area or server!
There isn't a huge difference between the staff and the student accounts - they are both locked down quite tight. We have added the student user into the staff AD groups but no difference. Other CS5 titles are fine.
Anybody any ideas on where I can go next?!
    Thanks in advance.
    Simon

    Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear that you have not been able to run Flash Catalyst. I'd like to ask a couple questions and maybe we can go from there.
What is the install location of Flash Catalyst?
Are you using Flash Catalyst CS5 or the preview of Flash Catalyst Panini?
What is your home directory? (you can take out any personal information, I'd just like to see the path structure)
What operating system are you using?
Kind of a wide smattering of questions, but hopefully they can give us some clues.

  • Problem with Flash Player in IE7 / IE8

    I'm stumped.
    I've got a problem running Flash content in IE7 / IE8. I had
Adobe Master Suite CS3 installed on my laptop, and had no issues
running Flash content in any browser including IE7 when this was
installed. I've recently un-installed it and can no longer run
Flash content in IE7. I've tried re-installing Adobe Flash Player
from the Adobe website and, whilst the browser window is open, I
can run Flash contect with no issues. However, when IE7 is closed
and then re-opened, it stops running Flash content again. No errors
are experienced, just a black space or a "you must have flash
installed to view this content" message where the Flash content
should be. If I re-install again, I can view the content until I
close IE7. I've tried upgrading to IE8 but I'm getting the same
    problem.
I have FireFox 3, Opera and Google Chrome installed also, and
have no issues playing Flash content in these browsers.
    Please help!

    All sorted now...
Removed Flash Player and its ActiveX control. Completely
reset IE8. Re-installed Flash Player 9. Now working.
Should have done this hours ago!

  • Placing ini file in specific location when building the application

    Hello,
I have a small problem.  I have an ini file that I use to store certain parameters.  Lets call this file app.ini.  When I build the Application.exe, it puts that file into the data directory.  I was hoping that it would be one level higher and be located in the same directory as Application.exe is (otherwise it won't read the file correctly.)  I looked at the Source File Settings in the Category list in the properties window for the build and set the Destination to be "Same as caller", but that didn't put it where I wanted it.  I'd really like this file to be one directory higher when I make my build in order for my app to read it correctly.  Any suggestions?
I use this executable later on when I make my installer and the problem simply propagates there too, not good.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

One way to solve the problem:
    1) In build properties window select Destinations and create a new destination. Select as "Destination Path" the same dir where the exe will be stored
    2) Assign this destination to the .ini file.
Let me know if it works

  • Why is the .ini file deleted by iteself?

    Hi all,
I am working on a large program. It is really large and messy, but it works. The problem is sometimes it deletes .ini file by itself. This program uses a .ini file to keep all kinds of configurations. Sometimes when the program exits, it causes the computer to reboot -- even worse, at same time it deletes the .ini file......who can tell me the possible reasons?
    Thanks!

    Hi steady,
Does your program use the LabVIEW configuration file VIs to maintain its own INI file? In LabVIEW 7.1, I think the Close Config Data VI used to write the data back to the INI file by default even when nothing changed. Try setting "write configuration data?" to false when you call that VI.
Do you have any more information about the reboot? It may be a system crash caused by a device driver. Why Does My Computer Automatically Reboot For No Reason? explains how to obtain more information about system crashes.

Hi Aquasue and welcome to our community
In addition to the usual suspect fellow Adobe Community
