Problem running swf file outside dev environment

If I copy my bin-debug folder outside the dev environment
i.e. any where in hard disk and run the html file the swf is unable
to connect to the HttpService.
Is there any way to solve this problem.. Its working fine
when i am running it from inside of flex builder bin-debug dir.
"Crossdomain.xml" is also provided.

This is probably due to security restrictions of running a
file on your local machine that access network resources. Try
running the SWF file via a network request and not opening it as a
file (use the
http:// protocol rather than file:// in your
browser).

I was messing around the other night and trying to download
Flash Player 9. No clue what happened here but now when I click on
a .swf I'm getting an error that says "$" is not a supported format
and my .swf is completely disappearing. Anyone have any idea what I
did here? Prior to this, I was getting all of my movies running in
Flash Player 6, even though I can't find a Flash Player 6 version
anywhere on my computer (I'm sure it's there somewhere). Captivate
shows I have Flash Player 7 and 8 but now nothing runs.

If you just attempt to run the swf file created by Flash CS3,
your system will try to load the swf using the Flash runtime. This
will not work, since the SWF contains AIR code not available in the
Flash runtime. To run your AIR application outside of the Flash
authoring environment, you must first package it to create an AIR
installation file, and then install your app from that AIR file.
Use the "Commands> AIR- Create AIR File" menu command to create
the AIR installation file.

Run swf file on ipad

I have exported a swf file from indesign CS5.5 ( contains audio, interaction, movie...) and I want to run it on my iPad, and off-course I can not install flash player on iPad. I can't run swf files in dreamweaver cs6, they place in the page fine, but can't be viewed.

I've created an animation .swf file in Flash and inserted it on a new webpage. When I go to view it in live mode, it's blank. When I view it in the IE browser I keep getting a message that I need a newer version of Adobe Flash player, which is not the case, and even going through the install process doesn't help. When uploaded, it doesn't appear on the webpage. This is Dreamweaver in the CS6 release on a Windows 7 64 bit system. The animation file runs fine when viewed from the original folder, but does not funciton (blank screen) when opened from the copied file Dreamweaver puts in the site folder. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Also, is there a way to loop a .flv file? This could be a work-around if I can't resolve the .swf issue.

Hi Jon,
Unfortunately not. The website is actually an HTML module logded in a third party program. Even in the development stage though I can't see the .swf file in either the live mode or by viewing with IE. Flash video files play fine as have the other graphics I've incorporated. It seems like a file is missing to make the .swf animation work properly. When I copied the file over from the original folder, Dreamweaver also placed "expressInstall.swf " and "swfobject_modified.js" in a scripts folder. I'm wondering if there should be another or different file to make this work.

DW CS3 ImageViewer - problem with .swf file

I'm trying to make a slide show in Dreamweaver for the first time. I've searched and found a lot of common problems people have - forgetting to upload the .js file, not including the .swf file, etc.
I think I've done everything right (obviously I'm wrong though), it previews in DW, it works when I preview it in a browser, but when it's uploaded, nothing.
But I think I've found where the problem is. The .swf file that was created doesn't seem to be the right file. When I open it, it shows a blank flash slideshow with three empty slides, just as the sample is when you first open the Imageviewer.
But then what is DW pulling the slideshow from that works in the preview?? How do I re-export the .swf file from DW?
Do my questions even make sense? Sorry, kinda new at all this.

The .js file is in the Scripts folder, the .swf is in the same folder. Actually, here you can see why it doesn't work. This is the .swf file, three blank pages:

If you look at my last post, the js file has been overwritten with html code, and this is what will be causing the problem.
The only solution is to delete this file insert a new flash object (any swf file will do for this), then copy the new js file to your server, as your flash will not work with this file.

Problem running .exe files

I cannot run .exe files on Windows 10. A pop-up window shows a message that the .exe file I am trying to run is missing. What can I do to solve this problem ?

Keep in mind that the Win 10 build "refresh" operations are clearing parts of the registry back to default values, so some things you've installed might end up uninstalled or only half installed after an upgrade to a new TP build.
What EXACTLY is going wrong? In other words, exactly what are you trying to do, and what is the exact content of the message(s) you're seeing.

Problem loading swf file in flash player 9.0.47.0

Hi all!
I have a really strange problem and couldn't find any information over the internet.
The problem only occurs in flash player 9.0.47.0. It works in all the others players, newer and older..
I try to load a swf file to my web application and get the following error: "This content requires Adobe Flash Player 10.2. Would you like to install it now?"

Help! problem running .bat files in browser

HI! Hope you can help me!
I have a simple applet that runs .bat files and retrieves the resulting information into a text box.
To run those files I use:
Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
Process processo=rt.exec("C:/po2PrtMonitor.bat 04600105 ope >C:/infoPrt.txt");
in wich "04600105","ope" and ">C:/infoPrt.txt" are parameters that the .bat file is expecting. When the file is ran it saves the resulting information on a simple .txt file, that I later read by using:
fichResposta = new FileInputStream(fichRespostaPath[0]);
When I run my applet on JDeveolper 9.0.2.822 is works perfectly, the problem is when run it on the browser.
On the browser the applet executes the file by opening a MS-DOS prompt and when it finishes executing the file, the prompt closes automatically and doesn't send the information into the .txt file.
My .bat file is something like:
jre -cp PrtSrv20.jar sibs.deswin.prt.PrtMonGateway 10.46.1.22 5003 %1 %2 %3
where %1,2%,3% are the above parameters given by the applet when the file is ran.
If I run it on JDeveloper I get:

I have no idea as to what the problem might be! Do native methods work differently on the browser?! Could it be a problem on the deployment? A library not included on the deployment profile? Suggestions are very welcome.

Problem loading SWF file in FlashIsland

Hey,
I am trying to use FlashIsland for ABAP WebDynpro.
Unfortunately the SWF File is not loading. When I type the URL to the SWF File directly to the browser, the SWF file loads correctly.
In the header I have posted the statement: initialize="initApp()". My initApp I have implemented, too (see below).
               import sap.FlashIsland;
               public function initApp():void
                    FlashIsland.register(this);
What can be the problem there?
First I thougt it might be a problem of my Internet Explorer configuration or the customizing of the SAP System. But when I execute the WDR_TEST_FLASH_ISLAND application everything works fine there.

I installed Flex Builder 3 with the Standard SDK 3.2.
Now i implemented a very simple Flex Project again:

Problem with swf file on website

I created a swf file with flash CS4. I can do the publish
preview and the video plays just fine. I can even view the
generated html file on my local machine and it works. I upload to
my website and it does not work. Here is the link

The player skin is acting like it cant find the swf file but
it is in the same directory. Also, when i go to the publish
settings for the html I select the "Paused at start" but the video
plays when I load the local html file in my browser. Any ideas or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think it's a permission problem, but somehow the
Flash Player thinks (I think) the stream is coming from another
domain. With me a error pops up that goes like this:

Have you tried a super-simple <object>-style embed of
your video?
I really do think it's the Adobe-AC-JS-stuff that's messing
things up?
You could instead consider using swfobject

But first I think you should try an <object>-embed to
see if it's the JS or the Flash that's messing things up.

Running swf file within a dreamweaver page

Hi all ive been really struggling in getting my web shot gallery to run with my dreamweaver page on my site, ive managed to get it running on its own on my server but soon as i put in my site it does not run, i only get a white screen

Have you uploded al lscripts associated with the SWF? Auxiliary SWF assets such as palyer skins? Was the gallery created relative to the same root directory as your site? One problem I definitely see is the use of spaces in file names, which could lead to names being truncated or misinterpreted....

i had some jsp1.1 stuff running on tomcat3.3.
last week i moved to tomcat 4.0 , changed the tags to fit jsp1.2 and... everything is wrong now. while trying to run jsp with tags i get an error message (same for all files):

i have the same environment setup and the same troubles. after searching the forums, it seems that there are others with the same, if not similar issues, yet no solutions. if you find the solution to this one, could you please post it. i would really appreciate it since i have been on this one for several days with no success. i even tried the helloworld jsp/custom tag examples from a jsp profession book that i have and that won't work.

Problem With Swf File. Please Help!!!!

Hi! I recently got adobe flash cs4 and i tried to create swf wallpaper (flash lite 1.1), so everything looked good, untill i opened the file. The problem is its constantly blinking, like its refreshing with every second or frame or something. Then i transfered it to my phone and theres no change. I had the same problem with CS3...I attached the sample, if someone cares to see...Please can somebody help me??? Thank you!

I think (at a first look) that you should put a stop() command at each frame of your movie.
Playhead is running through your movie from one frame to another and back to beginning if you don't stop it with stop() command.
What I mean is:
in frame one of your movie put ActionScript: stop();
in frame two of your movie put ActionScript: stop();
etc.
If navigation through your movie is linear, like some animations then don't put this AS in frames, but it seems to me that this will solve your problem.
For more (if this isn't helping) upload your movie along with ActionScript.

Problem running batch file or OS command on XE database

Hello, I´m trying to do the following, run a OS command from the database, especifically a 10g XE database and Windows XP sp3, since the database itself does not provide a Host command I did a C program and compiled it into a dll and then running an external procedure as a database Library. if I try something simple like creating a txt file it works just fine.
the problem is when I try to run an export.
when trying this:
exp username/password file=file.dmp log=log.log owner=user
I get this error
ERROR: ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
so, looking into that error over the internet someone suggested to put the @db , so I tried the following
exp username/password@DB file=file.dmp log=log.log owner=user
which I got from the TNSnames file, but then when I run the export on the database with a procedure it just hangs, checking the session it has the event "HS message to agent".
any ideas why I'm getting that error? and what can I do to resolve it?
