Problem's with sound driver on Satellite A200 running Win XP SP3

Hi Guys
I recently bought a Satellite A 200 PSAE7. I got it downgraded to Win XP.
Everything worked perfectly until last night. I restarted the laptop and i had no sound. I tried to reinstall the Realtek sound drivers, it succeeds, ask for a restart but the sound is still not working. I tried everything, removing the drivers through add/remove programs, and device manager and then reinstalling it. When i restart it tells me "PCI device detected" after i installed the sound drivers. But the sound doesn't work.
Any advice?

Yes, its possible to remove the installed XP SP3. I did it last time too.
In your case you have to remove the Sp3 firstly to be able to reinstall the mentioned XP patches.
Found some people here how had the same problem unfortunately there is not other solution as to remove the SP3, then to remove the sound card and the high definition devices from the device manager and after the installation of KB888111 and KB835221 you should follow with further installation of sound driver.

How do I install the driver?
When I go to reinstall the driver the system can not find it.

Need Geforce Go 7300 driver on Satellite A200-10x

1,5 year ago i buy this Satellite A200-10x notebook with Vista (32bit) and Geforce go 7300. Now i can't find drivers for this graphic card
Why? it's not supported model?
I have lot a problems with display driver:
- sometimes bluescreen
- sometimes black screen
- everytime: there is no possibilities to play of any game.
I'm looking for good driver few months and i can't find it.
can anybody help me, please?

How to install second hard drive in Satellite A200-1BW?

I see my new Satellite A200-1BW has two hard drive bays,on looking into the second bay I cannot see how a second drive can be fitted as the plug in socket appears to be missing.
What parts do i need to fit to fit a second drive as they are held in stock by my local computer outlet and are quite cheap,can anybody advise me on part numbers etc of the bits I need.

Hi,
there are many different models of your machine on the market and some of them have a second drive, some of them not. If you bought a model with one drive then you will only be able to install ONE drive because your model was only intended to have one drive.
And even if you solder a connector to it or attach it in any other way then you dont know if the bios supports the second drive.
My suggestion on it: obtain a USB-HDD and store your data on that drive. Would be making more sense then spending a lot of time on investigation to find out that your mainboard is not able to handle a second drive.

Cannot use webcam with any chat programs - Satellite A200-AH7 Vista

Satellite A200-AH7/Vista Home Premim/Chicony 2.0 USB built in webcam
I can't seem to figure out how to get the audio working with the built in chicony webcam when in a chat program, or any program for that matter. I can record audio and playback later, but this is not what I want to do. It's probably just something silly I am missing..but any help sure would be appreciated...I have tried with Windows Live and Yahoo messenger and so far all I can do is wave at people LOL. I have never been able to make it work...any ideas?
Today I have purchased a Logitech Quickcam for notebooks in case the problem is with the built in camera. I don't want to install it unless absolutely necessary and believe that I would need to uninstall the Chicony to make it work...can anyone point me in the right direction?
I just want to be able to talk to my grandkids.....

This is a Toshiba Canadian notebook model.
You have to check the Toshiba Canadian website to get the right webcam software:

Remove firstly the old webcam software. Reboot the notebook. Clean the registry and system using the CCleaner (its free). Reboot the notebook again an then install the new webcam software!

I reformatted the hard drive on my Satellite 2100CDS and I need the sound driver to get the sound working.
Where can i find this?

I can confirm that.
As far as I know the PCI communication device could be audio and modem device.
But it could be also a installed ISDN or LAN card. But I think teh LAN driver was installed already and the ISDN card is not placed in the notebook.
Simply download the modem driver and try to install it.

I have a Satellite A200-1ZF with Vista installed originally.
I removed Vista and install XP. And then installed all drivers and almost everything is working but those keys (power,www,mediaplayer,play,stop,back,next) on the upside of notebook don't work. :/
Only power work properly ...sometimes www and mediaplayer, but rest of it doesn,t work at all.
I have Windows Media Player 9 series. I don't know if it is problem with my drivers or windows media version or something else..

Satellite A200-1ZF belongs to the PSAE6E series.
Choose this series in the Toshiba European driver download form.
There you will find a XP BIOS. If you are using Win XP on this notebook then you have to update the BIOS to the XP version!
Furthermore you have to install the Toshiba Controls v. 2.48.2.2C.
This tool is needed to get the Toshiba Media buttons working!

Satellite L850 running Win 8 - Cannot get BT working

just bought a new Satellite L850 running windows 8,
Can not get Bluetooth working.
I have downloaded Bluetooth driver and BT stack, driver seems to install ok but still no Bluetooth anywhere too be seen. The BT Stack for Toshiba tells me that it will not work with my operating system.
Can not find a download of BT stack for windows 8.

According notebook specification your notebook has BT but originally it was delivered with Win7 so I presume with Win7 there is no problem.
Ive also checked support for your notebook model and obviously it is not supported for Win8 and drivers are not listed for this machine.
Have you used Win8 drivers offered for other models?
Maybe stupid comment now but I recommend you to stay with Win7.

No Sound Bluetooth Stereo Headset - MB Pro running Win XP SP3 via Bootcamp

I have a MacBook Pro Running Windows XP SP3 via Boot camp and I recently purchased a Rocketfish Bluetooth Stereo Headset. I am able to Pair the Headset to the MacBook Pro but I am unable to hear anything playing through them. I have checked to make sure that the volume is turned up. I think the problem might be driver related but, according to the Rocketfish support there isn't a specific driver for the headset. I'm not sure how to get the headset working. One other thing to note is that the headset works perfectly with my Iphone 4.
I guess my questions are...
How do I find an updated driver for the built in bluetooth on the MacBook Pro?
Does anyone know how to fix the problem that I am having?

So, finally I found what worked for me: Re: Full Bluetooth functionality in Bootcamp (audio, A2DP, FTP, OBEX) third variant, none of first 2 worked.. The only trouble was to find the correct link since on Acer site there is no download link. I've googled for "Bluetooth_Atheros_7.4.0.96_W7x64_A.zip" since this is the archive the guy is actually talking about. 1) unzip the folder
2) don't look for x64 or x32, there is only a one installer called "Bluetooth_Suite_win7"

4) after it installs Windows starts downloading and recognizing drivers, I don't know how it actually works, but it also downloaded and recognized the unrecognized before drivers for my Bluetooth headset.
5) Restart Windows
6) Turn on headphones - they connect automatically, everything works and works great, the quality of sound is exactly the same as it was on Mac OS, nothing that would bother me.

Problems with sound regulator in Satellite A300

Hello everyone!
I have weird problem with my sound regulator in A300. When I use "wheel" in front of laptop, next to headphones input etc., sound turns up and down very irregulary- I try to turn up the sound and it twitches around constant level of volume ending at 10% of desired level. I tried to reinstall sound drivers but it didn't work and all in all I have no idea if there are any other things I can do to fix this.
Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I had the same issue with my Satellite U400.
The volume wheel controller was dirty in my case.
I used an compressed air spray and could remove the dust between the sensors.
This helped a little bit.
Now the volume level does not jump too much while increasing or decreasing the volume level.
