Problem saving workbook by different databaseaccount

Hello all,
I'm facing a very weird problem saving workbooks in Discoverer 10 using the different end user tools.
Signed in as DISCADMIN I have saved a workbook as WORKBOOK so it is saved as DISCADMIN.WORKBOOK
Now I sign in as USER with desktop edition, open the WORKBOOK in the current database account and when I try to save the workbook it is saved as USER.WORKBOOK. This is the expected behaviour.
Next I sign on as USER, this time using PLUS and open the same workbook owned by DISCADMIN. When I now try to save the workbook I get the message: "Unable to save the workbook WORKBOOK because the identifier for this workbook already exists for another workbook". When I change the Identifier (which never should be done by an end user) the workbook is being saved as USER.WORKBOOK.
Next I sign on as USER, this time using VIEWER. After I have opened the workbook owned by DISCADMIN and try to save it the name has automatically been changed to WORKBOOK1. I cannot save it as WORKBOOK as it already exists with the name specified.
I suspect that when using both viewer and plus the workbook is opened in the account where it was saved and not in the current account, thus causing the problem described. Is there a way too force both Viewer and plus to open workbooks in the current database account and not in the account where it was saved.
Thanks for your assistance
Marc Willemsen

You can use the Project Manager for archiving Projects,
or you can simply copy your .prproj file
along with all of the project's associated media files.

  • Problem saving files with different name with DFS installed

I have a server that I have DFS installed and running on. This appears to work fine. There is one problem that I have encountered though:
On a share I have a folder that is not inheriting rights from it parent object. This works fine with DFS. When I create a new word document and try to save it in this folder with a different name other than the default (doc1.doc) I get an error saying that the user doesn't have permission, but I can save it as the default name of doc1.doc. I can then re-name the file to what I want from windows explorer, open it up in word, work on it and save it again. Even with the new file name I can't do a save-as and save it as a different file.
All the other folders under the share that inherit rights from the parent folder work.
eg save-as in \\server\share\folder or below works
save-as it in \\server\share\no_inheritance or below does not work
    Anyone have any ideas?

  • Error while saving workbook or query

Hi guys. After upgrade to 7.0 we are experiencing error while saving workbook or query.
    We are using BEx 3.5.
    Here is the error:
"Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method: UNCAUGHT_EXEPTION.
An exeption with the type CX_SY_PROGRAM_NOT_FOUND occured, but was neighter handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause.
    Program CP9QUC052Y8TXQ0C2TM5KB0T92K does not exist"
What can be the cause of this error?

    Hi Jose!
    It was easy.
The problem can be solved by reactivating the personalization
    for the BEx.
To reactivate the personilization go to transaction SPRO and navigate:
SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP
NetWeaver -> Business Intelligence -> Settings for Reporting and
Analysis -> General Settings for Reportiung and Analysis
    or
    open the transaction RS_PERS_ACTIVATE
    Check all boxes and execute.
    Hope it helps.

  • Error While Saving Workbook

    Dear All,
We are getting following error while saving workbook. This has started after our migration from IBM server to HP Unix server.
"Document store access caused errors in the SAP Correction System"
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards: Gaurave

    Hi,
During the save of the workbook a transport check is done and that check fails. The reason for that is "Client independent objects not changeable in this client" Or "System is not set to changeable - objects are not changeable" The solution to the problem is "Change the setting for the system or client to "changeable". You can do this using transaction SE06 or SCC4."
    Note 992965 is relevant here.
    - RSA1 -> transport connection ->object changeability -> check the object type:XLWB(workbook)
If the setting is 'Not Changeable', please change it  to 'Everything Changeable' by right mouse click.

  • Help! Message "pdf could not be saved because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to a different l

I had the contents of my (dying) ibook transferred onto my emac. The tech created a new user/desktop on the emac. Now, when I try to open PDF files from a website, I get a drop down window saying this:
"Downloading - users/myname/desktop/xxxxx.pdf could not be saved because an unknown error occurred. Try saving to a different location."
Points to note: 1) The "xxxxx.pdf" part of the above message changes each time I try to open a pdf document, even the same one, and it does not show the real name of the document (e.g. CollegeApplication.pdf). The xxxxx.pdf is usually written as gibberish, like "86hgkjh.pdf" or "sdfj99f.pdf."
    2) this never happened on my laptop;
    3) the settings are set in Firefox to download pdf's to my desktop;
    4) I have the latest version of Adobe Reader, which I already tried opening before downloading;
    5) the settings are also set to open pdfs using adobe.

I had the same problem when I installed Firefox 3, but I think the problem is due to my recent hard drive upgrade. Try changing the download location from "Desktop" in Microsoft Internet Explorer and all other browsers (Safari, Firefox, etc.) to whatever default location you prefer. I never use Internet Explorer, but I think somehow my settings were corrupted when I upgraded my hard drive. I found this solution on another site also.

  • Problems saving files in Snow Leopard

I've just upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard (I know I'm a dinosaur...) and am now having major problems saving Appleworks files.
When I'm doing corrections, I sometimes need to save a file over 10 times and my helpful "Do you want to replace this file?" box has gone and instead it's saving as a new file and adding another 'full stop' at the end of the file name.  It's driving me nuts!
Is there any way to get back to just over-writing the file?
    Any help gratefully received...
    Thanks
    Take care
    Marianne

This is turning out to be really crazy. I haven't added any third party application at all.
Last night I tried Roger's 'command-S' and it worked on a different document I opened.  I tried the same document, changed it, 'Saved As' and it asked me if I wanted to over-write the file.
I then opened the original document I was having trouble with, hit 'Save As' and the same thing happened; it just made multiple copies of the file.  It seems to be a problem with this particular client and all his files; unfortunately, he's the client I do the most work for.
Now I don't know why it's happening on some documents and not on others.
Any further ideas?  Can I do something to this client's files, re-save them or whatever, so I don't have this problem?
    Thanks again...

  • Problems saving Xcelcius Dashboards

    Hi all
I'm having a few problems saving some of the dashboards I have created to my computer and also to the Crystal Server.
I have created the dashboards in CX 4.5 and they will save no problems until I place a Live Office Connector on them.  As soon as I do that my machine "hangs up" and I have to use the task manager to stop the save.
The Dashboard in question is about 16mb without Live Office on it.  It does only contain 3 charts, 2 gauages, 1 toggle button, 1 list selector and 1 calender.
The workbook it is linking to contains 4 Crystal Reports and a few vlookup formulae.
    Thanks for your help
    Dave

Well i am not sure if it is the problem, because i don't have much experience with Xcelsius 4.5 and don't know if this huge XLF filesize is normal for Xcelisus 4.5.
Maybe it would help to rebuild the Dashboard from the Scratch.
Or first just try the following:
Start a "clean" Xcelsius instance without components.
Import your Excel-Model and save your XLF-File. Check it's filesize. How big is the file embedded in Xcelsius without any components and connections?
    Best Regards

  • Problems saving to networked drive

Off and on for some time now I have been having problems saving from Keynote (and sometimes Pages) to a networked drive. I may save once ok, but from then on when I try to 'Save' I get a message that the file cannot be saved. If I save the file under a different name all is ok, at least for a few times before I get the message again. This happens from machines running Tiger or Leopard. The particular 'server' is a machine running 10.4.11 with an attached RAID array - I am logged in under my own account name saving to a volume out on the RAID array. This started when I only had Tiger on all my machines and continues with Tiger on some and Leopard on others. Any suggestions about how I might start attacking this?
    TIA

A similar thing happens to me with Pages and Numbers.
Although when it happens, I just save it again, and it saves without any problem.
It works but is a little annoying.

  • Problems saving in Flash Pro CS5

    Hi guys,
Hoping someone can help/is having a similar problem to this as I've not got much information to go on.
I have a couple of Flash CS5 users who are having problems saving files. They can open the file, edit/make changes to the file and save it and from all appearances the save has been successful - the save progress bar has popped up and completed and everything "looks" ok.
However the file changes were not saved. This problem is intermittent, however if it is occuring in the current flash "session" then it will affect all save actions performed - including attempting to save the existing file under a new filename.
I've checked for obvious problems on the PC including disk errors and readonly files and so on but I'm otherwise at a loss to explain why this is happening?
Is anyone else having this problem or can offer help diagnosing what might be wrong?
    Many thanks,
    Craig

    Hi Nivesh,
This is on several different files which are stored locally on the users's PC.
Some additional factors which affect this if its any further help
    1. These files are part of a subversion repository, however the users get a lock on the file to make it read/write before opening.
    2. At least some of files have recently been converted from CS4 to CS5, though I'm afraid I have no info as to if its a corrolating factor, I'll ask the users.
    Thanks,
    Craig

Am having problems saving contacts manually on my iPhone 4S after total restore caused by disabling. Can anyone help.

In case of ur memory card there are different options available to you to get rid of the corrupt/unwanted data in your card.
menu--installations--application manager--remove the unwanted application....... in ur case themes
    menu--tools--memory---options---format memory card......
remember everything including ur factory installed apps will be deleted......... but u can always download them later either from nokia or google them...
or insert ur card in any reader or laptop and check for virus and also the hidden folders....... if there is something left of the application then u will find it in the hidden folders and delete it.......

Have you put in a support ticket for this? I recommend doing so since its occurring in your production environment. You should also attach your log files as well.

  • Having a problem saving the graphics on a canvas.

I'm having a problem saving graphics on a canvas. It draws on the canvas but when another window comes up the graphics disappear. I put in a method to take the graphics on the canvas and repaint it with the graphics. But this comes up blank. So I don't know why this is happening. It is probably the paint method but I don't know why. If anyone has any ideas could you please respond because I have had this problem for ages now and it's driving me mad and I have to get this finished or I'm going to be a lot of trouble. I'll show you the code for the class I am concerned with. It is long but most of it can be disregarded. The only parts which are relevent are the paint method and where the drawline e.t.c are called which is in the mouse release

  • Error while Saving Workbook in BEx

    Hi Experts,
When ever I am trying to same a workbook, I get the following error:
"workbook format .xlsm is not supported by the server"
Does anyone of you faced this error earlier ? Please suggest. I am working on SAP Netweaver 2007 and have MS Office 2007 installed in my system..
    Best Regards,
    Rishi

    Hi,
Please let me know if you are opening the workbook in 3.5 Analyser. If
then unfortunately Business explorer Analyzer 3.x is not supporting the
new file-format. Please refer to note 1052761. If you would like to use
new office 2007 file format you need to use Bex Analyzer 7.0. Due to
the architecture of Analyzer 3.x this behaviour cannot be changed.
BW Support Package lower than SP16 it is not
possible to save files in Excel 2007 file formats on the server. But you
can still save files from Excel 2007. When using the SAP Default
Workbook please set the flag "Use XLS file format" as defined in note
1267924. If you create workbooks from scratch ensure that Excel creates
new files in XLS format (in the Excel options).
Afterwards you are able to save files with Excel 2007 in XLS file
format. The new Excel 2007 file formats require the implementation of
    the latest BW Support Package.
If you are interested in saving workbooks in xlsm format you have to
use at least SP16 and a recent FEP (e.g. FEP801). But it is
not correct that it will work also when you implement the notes on a SP
level which is older then SP15, as then other corrections are missing.
And these points, I am afraid, cannot be downported to a Support package
    less than SP15.
Therefore I have to ask you to import furhter SPs. Then I am pretty sure
    that it will work.
Please check also note 1055581 ... where you find the info that
we recommend to use at least SPS15 (which is BW-SP17).
    Thanks,
    Venkat
So as mentioned above you can still save files from Excel 2007. When
using the SAP Default Workbook please set the flag "Use XLS file format"
as defined in note 1267924. For saving the workbook in the new file
format(xlsm) you need atleast SP16. The latest Sp being SP20, I suggest
you to look for an upgrade.
