Problem scrolling in online newspaper

I get my local newspaper online and am having an issue with scrolling the page. Rather than the arrows on my keyboard scrolling the entire page there is a small cursor that starts on the first line in the paragraph at the top and moves line by line through each article. Problem is that it makes the page jerky and the page suddenly goes from the bottom of the page abruptly to the top if the next article begins there. I'd prefer scrolling the entire page all at once.

It is in fact in .pdf format and the issue occurs on both my laptop and the Desktop @ work with a regular keyboard and mouse. It also occurs in both IE8 and Firefox and occurs when I save the page as well.

Hi. I have a new Macbook Pro and I can't access full content of my local online newspaper, i.e., many stories and photos do not load. I am not having problems with my iMac, and I've checked all settings on my MackBook. Anyone with suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. That will revert its settings to the defaults.
Step 2
Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Test.

Problems scrolling in a PDF document on my Mac

I see several discussions here about problems scrolling on Macs but see no solutions. Has there been any progress made in remedying this problem? It is very annoying and makes viewing a PDF tortuously slow and tedious. I so hope there is a fix!

Can you please tell us a bit more about the files that you're converting? If they were created by a third-party application (anything other than Acrobat or Adobe PDF Pack), they may not be written to standard. One thing you can try, however, is disabling OCR, as described in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (O... | Adobe Community

The problem of Shockwave10 online setup

It seems the online setup of Shockwave10 has problem. Many
times, shockwave movie can not be seen after Shockwave10 is
installed on line, especially on Win98/WinXP(I guess it has the
same matter in winMe) OS.(And I guess it relates to IE version, but
I have no time to test it)
And if online setup was executed firstly, installing of
Shockwave10 offline setup will often fail(It prompts success, but
shockwave movies can not be seen yet). very strange. If online
setup didn't execute before, Shockwave10 offline setup would alway
succeed, no problem.
Starting online setup is the default mode of shockwave
movie, so customers would not download the offline setup program in
general, even if you give a hyperlink. Many customers telephoned me
directly and said "not work!", and then give up visiting the movie.
I feel headache for that.

I am about to throw my new Mac Book Pro 15inch out the window!! Does anyone else have a problem scrolling e-mails!?? I cannot find the scroll bar that disapears with out continually pulling at the bottom right corner to reveal it and then it disappears!!?

Which model MacBook Pro do you have (e.g., "15-inch mid 2012") and which version of OS X are you running? If Mavericks you can go under System Preferences>General and tick the "Show Scroll Bars: Always."

I don't use CAC certificates, but since updating to 10.9.3, I too am getting the same error, BUT only with some HTTPS sites (e.g., https://webmail.pairlite.com), not all. Meanwhile, Firefox (was 12.0, now 29.0.1) connects with no issue.
I too have verified date/time is set automatically, checked for (and fixed) disk integrity errors and permissions, and rebooted, all to no avail.

Well...heck. Tried accessing the problematic site via the Guest account, and that WORKED. So...back to the drawing board.

Problem scrolling right in code editor...

Hi,
I have a package body in the code editor and I have problems scrolling all the way to the right on some lines that exceeds a certain number of characters. The cursor continues moving to the right (as the number in the status bar keeps increasing) but the window doesn't scroll. I tried modifying the right margin size to 200 in the preferences but no change was observed. If I select all and copy, I am missing thoses caracters that don't show in the window. This is rather inconvenient...Is there another option to modify???

I created a freeze frame still from the current video I am editing
If you used the | Shift n | command to make the freeze frame, it isn't recognized as a still image in any program other then FCP. To make an actual still image file that will be recognized and usable in other programs, you have to export as a still image. Set the Timeline playhead on the frame you want, then go to File->Export->Using QuickTime Conversion. In the FORMAT menu, choose "Still Image" and in the OPTIONS menu, choose the file type (JPG, TIFF, PNG, etc). Import the resulting image file into your project and the "Open in External Editor" command will work.

My online number from Mexico 55 84 21 94 is not working correctly in Mexico City. When my family use a landline from MX to call me another person answer the phone call, but if they use a cellphone it works and I receive the phone call. That's really weird 'cause when I suscribed to the services I read that people can call me using a landline or a cellphone. Could you help me with this situation? Do I need another online number?

Please follow these Steps:
1. Only do Step 1 if you are on WIN7:
Stop Skype.
Be sure that Compatibility Mode is not enabled (right-click on Skype shortcut icon/launcher and select Properties >> Compatibility) - for Windows 7 users only.
Try to launch Skype.
2. If Step 1 fails or you are NOT using WIN7 do:
Open an Internet Explorer browser, and go to msn.com, what happens?
If it fails, Please do the instructions below. Using your Windows Control Panel, please do:
Internet Options -> Advanced Tab Please click the "Reset" button.
Then, Go to the Connections Tab.
Make sure that the only checkbox checked is "Automatically detect settings", then click the "OK" button.
Close any open Internet Explorer browser windows, open a new IE browser window and try msn.com again. What happens? If it works, please stop/start Skype What happens?
3. If Step 2 does NOT solve the problem:
Please install the normal version using the instructions below:
You can install the Current release by doing this from the top of this page:
Get Skype -> Windows -> Choose the regular release, please do NOT remove what you already have installed, simply, install over.
These instructions have worked for many and is the quickest thing to try to resolve issues such as this.

Do you have all Windows updates and updates to any hardware devices by the manufacturers?

I just upgraded to the latest facebook app and i thank u for being able to like comments. However now I have a problem. When the comment is very long, I cannot scroll down and it goes to the next comment so i cannot see the bottom half of the comment outside the screen below. I tried to scroll but it keeps jumping to next comment so i cannot see. Can u pls help to rectify this bug or how do I solve it pls? Pls reply asap. Tks.

Try adjusting your Trackpad sensitivity, reduce it to 50 or 60 and give a Battery pull Restart i;e. while device is Powered On remove the Battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back wait till the device Reboots. Perform this two Tricks then I don't think you will have problem in this matter.

Problem Scrolling with T400

I have a recent problem with the middle button (scroll) feature for the trackpoint on my T400 with Windows XP 32-bit.
Previously, holding down the middle button would freeze the cursor and enable scrolling with the nubbin.
However, now the scrolling is only enabled on every 3rd or 4th click of the middle button.
Holding down the middle button still freezes the cursor, as it used to, but most often will not enable scrolling. When scrolling does enable, it works fine. When scrolling does not enable, the signal that the button has been pressed still seems to register, as it still freezes the cursor and if I click it three times, the help message still shows up; I think it must be a software issue, not a hardware one.
The only recent update I have one to my computer is to add a new user, who has not done anything that should have changed my trackpoint settings.

Flash Player having problems while playing online games on OS X Mavericks

i use mbp mid 2010 with os x mavericks 10.9.2 and while playing online games, it usually happens some freezes and delays. when i play same game with same browser on windows 7(bootcamp) there is no freeze and delay. i have made lots of search about this and made some optimizations on flash player settings but the problem continues. i use both chrome and firefox on both mavericks and win7 (bootcamp) but having the same problems on mavericks every time. the game is very slow with freeze and delays on mavericks. will adobe make a real effective upgrade about flash player for macs.

Hmmm... Win 7 will run faster than Mavericks with 8Gb. Even my Vm of 7 runs faster once I get it past all the startup processes.
It may or may not be a connectivity problen since Windows uses a different protocol, even though it's on the same hardware. Usually though, what affects OS X will affect BootCamp too.

Problems with my online # not displaying on friend...

I have a Skype subscription and a Skype online phone number with a local area code for where I live, which is Wyoming. When I first signed on with Skype and selected my online number, each time I'd call one of my friend's cell phone, my local number would show up properly in their caller ID.
Now when I call, the number that displays is not my number. My phone number begins with a 307 area code, however, the number that shows up is [edited for privacy].
I don't have a cell phone so I'm unable to set a number in my Skype account, however, this shouldn't matter because it used to work properly, but now it doesn't!
Anybody have some suggestions on how to fix this problem? Is it even fixable? Also, does anybody have an e-mail address for Skype Tech Support? If so, I'd be much obliged if you could pass it along in a reply to this post. Thanks!
