Problem seeing songs in Itunes HELP!!!

Hello all this explanation is really long but I think it is the only way you will understand what happened.
I have a 30g video ipod. I did not realize that ipod had little battery and connected it to my labtop. My labtop has an adaptor card so I have capability in having High USB2. But when i connect ipod to this device it my IPOD will not charge because the card does not have enough pawer to charge IPOD. so when I connected the ipod with little battery itunes read okay and loaded all my music fine but when i went to transfer a song to my ipod from my itunes labrary it just turned off my ipod. So me thinking that it is out of battery I put it to charge on the wall adapter. Once I saw that it charged I reconnected it to my computer and my computer recognized the IPOD but as a new ipod. of course it asked me if I wanted to link it with the computer and I said no. Then when I click on my ipod in itunes i don't see my music anymore. funny thing is when I click on my ipod in itunes I don't see the music but the bottom says that I have used 4.3 g bytes. My pictures are there and I can see them. and if I go to start, my computer and go to the ipod icon all the music is their... Why now I can not see it the music in my itunes??? What do I do.

Yes, easy!
*iTunes > Help > iTunes Help > Keyboard shortcuts*

  • Help, I am having problems syncing songs from itunes to my ipod.

I am having great difficulty in trying to sync purchased songs from itunes music store to my ipod.
I have just registered my ipod to my home computer after having it originally registered on a friends computer. Now on my own computer I have purchased 14 songs and have tried to sync them onto my ipod. However it keeps coming up with a message that my computer is not authorized to play them. Therefore its not copying onto my ipod.
Any solutions/help would be greatly recieved, thanks.

I'll wager that you have a second account that you forgot about. Fire up iTunes but do not log on to your account. Try to play one of the problem songs. A popup window will appear asking you to authorize your computer for that account.

I have the same problem described by vickgeo1981.  Just downloaded itunes 11.3.1.2 on new PC with windows 7.  Accounts are now set up ok and itunes let me download my music and new podcasts to this pc.  itunes told me I had to upgrade ipod nano software so I did that to 1.0.3 PC.  itunes shows the ipod when connected.  settings are to sync all Music and all podcasts.  sync appears to work and itunes shows the ipad contains the songs, podcasts, and playlists.  After disconnecting ipod from pc it shows no music and no podcasts.  I have tried more than 1 usb port on my pc.  I have restarted my ipod.  I have restarted my pc.  I have again reloaded my ipod software.  No change in the result.  sync appears to work.  itunes shows the content on its window of the ipod but no content on the ipod itself.

    Hello marky_marc1979,
Perhaps it would be a good idea to try and reformat the iPod using *Disk Utility*. See this article for instructions on how to do this.

  • Need Send Song To iTunes Help

When selecting to send my songs to iTunes via the GB toolbar, the transferred sound file results in a +11.4db recording despite the original file created in GB being recorded at an average level of 0db. All my tracks sound fine when played via GB, but overmodulate in iTunes. I've also attempted transferring the original files to iTunes via Audio Hijack with the same distorted results. Is there a master volume output or something that I'm overlooking? Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    hi there,
I'm having a similar problem with the dustiryion in iTunes. In GarageBand the sing sounds fine, but once exported to iTunes, there is crackling in the headphones, often surrounding the bass sound. I've tried as much effects changing and filtering, and nothing seems to work.
Can anyone answer this? Any help greatly appreciated.

  • Problem downloading songs from iTunes to iPhone

I cannot download songs from iTunes into my iPhone. I was able to move about 10 songs but when I view them they are greyed out. I cannot manually move any songs. And if I attempt to drag and drop the iPhone will not accept them as the iPod will. Any suggestions? BTW I can move songs freely from iTunes to my iPod.

    hi jason,
imho, the lack of manual music and video management
is a mistake. i've had 4 ipods over the years and have always used
manual mode. the playlist hack works okay
    and is only mildly cumbersome.
however i tend to buy music from itunes both on my
imac at home and my pc at work. i've always simply
been to plug in my ipod to either computer and grab my
purchases, in either location. now, my iphone is "locked"
to my imac. i'm sure apple had a good reason to leave out
manual management, but i would suggest revisiting this
    asap.

  • Cannot see songs in iTunes

Hi. I am having problem with my iTouch 5th gen. I cannot see all my songs in my iTunes. I can see my applications and the likes but not my songs. I can still see that my iTouch still detects the songs but not the iTunes. Can someone please help me.Thanks

I am going to assume you have put things back to the default arrangement you get when you install iTunes. That is, an iTunes folder in My Music and your iTunes Music folder in the iTunes folder.
The simplest solution if you don't mind losing counts, ratings and playlists is as follows:
    Close iTunes.
Drag iTunes Library .itl and iTunes Music library.xml out of the iTunes folder to your desktop.
Open iTunes and an empty library is created.
Go to Edit>>Preferences>>Advanced>>General and check that the locaton of the iTunes Music folder is correctly set.
Now use File>>Add folder to library to add your iTunes Music folder.
If you want to retain counts and ratings etc it would take some more investigation to try and work out exactly what happened. A good stating point would be an exact step by step explanation of what you did - including the exact name of any folders you moved and where you moved them to.

  • Problems adding songs to itunes...

Hello community. I recently had my 5 1/2 year old Macbook pro crap out on me. I was basically using it as a vehicle for my music in its twilight days.  I was worried I had lost my whole 7500 song library, but luckily for me I am signed up for itunes match, so it was not a problem getting my music library back on my PC desktop computer. I have run into the problem of not being able to add new songs to my library on this new computer, however. I don't purchase most of my music, though purchased songs do work. It's the songs acquired in the not-so traditional way that I'm having a problem with. I've tried downloading them in mp3 and mp4 format, and have tried every way I used to do on my mac laptop, like dragging it over or trying to upload it though my internet downloads page.  It's very frustrating that I can't figure this out. Curious to see if anyone else has run into a similar situation or if I'm just screwed. Either way, thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Im sure someone will know better than me how to fix this but you could try opening windows exploror and going to the folder the songs are located in, rightclick the song, select "Open With" and pick iTunes. That might force iTunes to open and add the song then

  • Having problem playing songs in itunes

it has been a while that my iTunes is not functioning normally when i play songs in my library as well as playing songs from my ipod (via computer). at the end of each songs, around 5 seconds with no sound will be left freezed and the new song following suddenly starts in the name of the last song. then the song will be played like cd scratch for like 15 seconds and will sound smooth again when the current song's name appear and the time bar shows that the song has been played for around 17 seconds.
what's wrong with this .... need urgent help coz im so frustrated with this
the latest version is already installed. and i'm having no idea what's wrong because it used to function very well until now
    Windows XP

I'm having almost the exact same problem. It started when I downloaded version 7.2.0.34, about a week ago. I don't have "fade" enabled, so mine just does it at the beginning of every few songs. It's a horrible sound, I have to hit pause then play again to get it to stop.
I'm sure its yet another "compatibility" issue with iTunes and Windows. Do these guys not have a single PC in the building they can try these new releases out on?
I have 2 gigs of ram, I'm not fragmented.

  • Problem Dowloading Songs From iTunes (error code 8248)

I recently purchased an ipod touch and it seems that now when i try to purchase certain songs (I kissed a girl, addicted by saving abel) it downloads them all the way to the point where it says "processing file" and then either says iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close, or error code 8248. I have consulted with an apple rep about this problem already and they attempted to reimburse me for my lost money and that didnt even work. So now im out a few dollars and i still cant dowload these songs. I greatly appreciate any help or even any ideas you can give me.
    iTunes is up to date
I have downloaded and re-installed itunes and it didnt help
    Cleared the temporary internet files
Tried dowloading it using my ipod touch and it dowloaded and it showed up in my playlists but when it comes time for that song it just skips it or wont play at all

    Hey!
I've also been having problems with the error 8248, and every time I think I get it worked out, it rears its ugly head again.
It first happened after I performed my last iTunes update, as someone else mentioned. It was during a multiple download, a bunch of songs went thru fine and then a few were flagged with the 8248. I was initially credited twice, tried some troubleshooting & reconfiguring each time per the helpful iTunes rep's suggestions to no avail.
Then, I searched the internet to find a solution, came here & saw the suggestions.
So far, I've removed VCast & Spybot, turned off both my Symantec & my firewall...with an unsuccessful attempt (and subsequent re-credit to my acct) between the VCast step & disabling my firewall.
I did successfully download 10 songs after I disabled my firewall, so I assumed the problem was solved. Then I tried to use my credits for the 5 remaining songs from the original download and the whole batch got an 8248 error. Well, my son was on his computer at the time, which shares my connection, so I eliminated that variable (not my son, just the computer use ;^) and tried again this morning...no luck.
WHAT is left to do? Why will it work sometimes and not others? And HOW can I talk to a real, live person to troubleshoot this?! Going thru e-mails has been extremely frustrating, not to mention taking a very long time between attempts.
I have 2 kids just itching to use their birthday gift cards, to boot!

  • Problems adding songs to iTunes/syncing

    Hi there,
So I recently got a new 160g iPod, and went through the trouble of cleaning up my library. When i attempted to Sync all 9k songs i had, only about 2-3k actually made it to my ipod. So i reset my ipod to factory settings, uninstalled itunes and tried to reinstal itunes, and throw all my music back onto itunes. Now whenever I open itunes it says "analyzing music" at the top, as if i just dragged a bunch of new music into my itunes, and claims it will analyze roughly 5k songs. Well whenever this happens my itunes decides to crash and stop working. Im not sure if it is an iTunes problem, or my computers problem. here is the most recent (of many) crash reports. Any help is appreciated, just trying to get some tunes on my ipod.

  • Computer died...can't download all songs to itunes-HELP!

My laptop died and I am trying to uploade my music from my ipod to my new computer.  I have autherized the computer but itunes keeps telling me that my ipod is still attached to another library.  Also, having trouble with my new iphone.  It won't upload songs I've purchased to itunes and it won't download songs from my itunes music.  Help!

I am having the same problem, "Error formatting disk iPod. Disk cannot be written to or copied from."
The guy at the apple store said the iPod is totally fine, that it's my computer. Getting nowhere with my laptop manufacturer - he tells me to do to the apple store.
I was told the best bet is to make sure my music files are backed up on my hard drive, then uninstall and then reinstall iTunes.

  • Problem downloading songs with itunes +?

I have purchased 2 songs with new itunes + but they won't download. Anyone else have this problem? And what can I do?
    Toshiba   Windows XP

I started converting the "old" versions at 8pm CDT last night and was not finished at 12. I had about 275 songs to do. All loaded but 61 Grand Funk songs. Someone tell me that Grand Funk is that popular? Many dashed out to a fast load, only to stop halfway through. I agree that Apple has a problem, and it probably is a large load on their servers--but Grand Funk does not load? Does not make sense unless that funk just rocks the servers too much. Someone fix the problem, as I have about 600 songs to go. Oh, I restated the download so many times and turned off firewalls --and suspended the anti-virus protection, etc, etc, etc.

  • Problems with songs in iTunes

Hi, I am having problems with iTunes, in that whenever I rename a song (fix up the title, album info, etc) it will often revert back to the old settings and information about a week later. Almost always, it will lose the track number (not the actual track number, but the second total number of tracks for the CD, "# of #" and will put gibberish " 00000991 00000619 00002C8E 00001B1A 000295F0 0003074A 00008000 00008000 00007170 00007170" in the comments section as well as deleting the cover art. The problem is, it doesn't just do it once, it has recently done it again for about half of my iTunes library. It is very irritating.
Also, it only does it with .mp3 files, the .m4a files are always perfect. I don't want to have to rip my entire library to CDs and re-rip it back to my computer in .m4a format, but if I get desperate I might have to (15ish MB worth of music). Just looking for any suggestions before I have to resort to something that drastic. Thank you!

Similar problem here, running OS X 10.5.6 and iTunes 8.1.1. Any suggestions?
