Problem sending iMessages iOS 7.0.2

Since iOS 7.0.2 was installed, my iPhone 5 cannot send iMessages and sometime text messages. When I reboot the phone, this corrects the problem temporarily.

Same here...
It seems Apple has a glitch with text/imessages in iOS7 and they are trying to fix it. Many people get it working again by simply restarting their phone
For me, restarting the phone kind of corrects it for awhile but then it starts doing it again.  My phone gives no indication the messages haven’t gone out till after I restart it! Huge problem since I cant tell when it quits sending! I have to just keep restarting my phone a couple times a day to make sure all my texts went out!
I also found this procedure but it seems to be only a temporary fix much like restarting your phone.
iPhone users: Go to Settings and into Messages and disable iMessage. Go into General then into the Reset tab (bottom of the screen). Next, select Reset Network Settings, confirm the choice, and wait for the iPhone to reboot. Once the phone restarts, toggle iMessage back on again.

    Then... Re-enable iMessage.

  • Problem sending iMessage from MacBook

I've got a problem. Maybe it's nothing serious but I still need you gyus to help me So I have 2014 MacBook Pro 15. When I bought the Mac and paired it to my Iphone 5 with message forwarding everything was fine and I was able to send iMessages and also SMS but now I can only send SMS but not iMessages. When I try to send iMessage it just instantly shows "Not Delivered". I tried everything resetting network settings(on Iphone), restarting Iphone, tried some tricks with Airplaine Mode and switching iMessage off/on and everything is up to date, this did not worked. Then I tried to forward messages to my Ipad and I was able to send iMessages from it. So I guess the problem is in the Mac but I can't find where is the problem. I opened Messages preferences and signed out and in to my Apple ID, also changed "Start new conversation from" from my apple ID to my phone number and to my iCloud account and back, still did not work. Restarted Mac. Also logged out of Mac's iCloud account and back in, and guess what, still did not worked. I really tried everything I could find on the google. So please guys do you have any idea what could be the problem?

  • I am having constant problems sending iMessages

I am fed up that I updated my software to iOS 7 and since then cannot send imessgaes...
    Come on Apple..SORT IT OUT!!!
I have read online that this is a bug you need to fix, however in the mean time it is racking up my bill for me to send them as text messages!
It works fine on my MacBook and Ipad.. so whats going on with the phone??
The worst thing is that for the past week or more I have not even realised that the messages had not sent as they did not go as text messages either, so friends and work contacts just thought i was ignoring them!
I have tried turning imessage of and on again in settings, however it seems that it is a sporadic problem, therefore one minute it works then it doesn't and has no relevance as to wheher I have WIFI access of 3G.
I have also had major issues with 3G availablility and with pages such as facebook taking so long to load and not refreshing I am spendng more time resetting my phone than using it as a phone!
Come on... please sort these problems out... My Apple store has taken a week to get a genius bar appointment.. so this is not helping either!!

Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
If you have not already, unplug the router from power, leave it unplugged for 10-20 seconds then plug it back in.
If that does not resolve, basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

    Hello, Deb2015.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that messages sent and received from your iPhone are not showing up on your iPad.  I would check to make sure you have an internet connection on the iPad as this could be the cause.  If the issue persists, try the troubleshooting steps in the article below.
If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  • Problems sending iMessage

I can't send a message in iMessage, but if I enclose a photo it works! What can I do about it?

wow, that's a new one. Never heard of but I am sure something can be figured out.
Did you try to send the picture to the same person than the one where you wanted to send text to?
Where you connected on the internet in both instances?
Is the "send" button grey or you get a red exclam?
It could be that you're writing the text in the subject line (the first line) while you should write it on the second line.

  • Does anyone have problems with sending iMessages not depending on devices the last days, too?

We have 4 iPhone 4 iOS 5.1.1 and a MBP Early 2011 OS X 10.8, and there are problems sending iMessages on any of these devices the last days.
Just the red ! and "Not send" appears. Sometimes the messages is send regardless, but mostly not!

    Hello
I agree with the user above. I think you have to change the power plan. If you surf in the Internet or write something in Word just switch to Power Saver power plan. This power plan will save a lot of battery power and also reduce the display brightness to enhance the battery life.
Furthermore here is an interesting article about the power management features of Windows:

  • IPad 2 iOS 5 cannot send iMessage to others

    Hello All
I am using iPhone 4 and iPad 2 with iOS 5. From iPhone no problems to send iMessage. But from iPad 2 I can't send any message by email, also to my self. It getting error faild to deliver.
Could anyone suggest something, how to solve the issue?
    Thanks

You can turn off the SMS feature in the iMessages settings so if it cant send as an iMessage, it wont send as a text instead.
Once you do that, you wont have to worry about being billed anymore for the normal rate of texts. Some people can have their phone number attached to their Apple ID so even if you send it to their phone number, it will send as an iMessage. You can look at that by going into Settings>Messages>Send & Recieve At> and you will see any phone numbers and emails attached to the Apple ID which you can message to.
Try turning that off as stated above and try to send a iMessage to their phone number.
