Problem Sending / Receiving Netnames Domain Mail V...

This has happened before (but not for a few years). The core problem occurs when sending and receiving NetNames domain e mails via a single BT Yahoo account. This more or less ground to a halt on Thursday and has been a problem for a fourth day today.
As a test I have changed the forwarding on one domain so it now points to a hotmail account. That domain's mail now seems to be working as long as the original e mail is not sent from a BT account. Which suggests a unique problem between the two entities.
The remaining domains I control (those belonging to clients) are still pointed to BT Yahoo which does not appear to be sending or receiving any mail for those .coms and .co.uks etc.
Usually works fine (web mail, the BT Yahoo ap, Blackberry and via OE all ok normally) but any problem usually has both BT and NM denying resonsibility and tends to drag on. Time I do not have.
Anyone else got this issue? Anyone at BT got a helpful suggestion?

Hi Anthony, some ISPs won't pass .mp3s, does one smaller one work?
Mail itself has no limit to attachments as far as I know.
Also, 16 meg sent via eMail could easily be 24-32 meg once encoded to send.
Can you post them online & just eMail them a link?

imap.gmail is the Google mail server. It doesn't recognize the password that is stored in the iPhone. The problem is that the password or email address you have in Settings for the gmail account is wrong. If you changed the password somewhere else that is the reason. You need to go to Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendar, tap on the gmail account and enter the correct password. You also need to change it for outgoing mail in Settings.

Problems sending/receiving mail on original iphone

The last 2 days my wife has had problems sending/receiving email on her original iphone. We have yahoo/att email server still using prodigy.net email addresses. This happened several months ago to both of us. My original iphone isn't affected.

Set it up as IMAP or configure it so that, while using POP, it retains a copy of the message on the server so that it can be downloaded again on multiple clients.

Having Problems Sending to Some Domains

Just started in the last week or so.. From webmail, I am unable to send mail to some domains. One is mailwise.com.
Here are their MX records:
mailwise.com. MX IN 3600 inbound.mailwise.com. [Preference = 10]
mailwise.com. MX IN 3600 smtpbackup.mailwise.com. [Preference = 20]
This is what their servers show when smtpout.mac.com initially connects to send the message:

You can see the disconnect within a half of a second. No error is seen or produced by the MailWise servers and no message is received. Yahoo, AOL, and several corporate email systems that I tested do not have any problem sending to this domain.

Problem sending emails with Mac Mail 1.3.11

Desperately in need of help. I'm able to receive but not send email using Mac Mail. I keep getting an error message:
"This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.
The sender address [email protected] was rejected by the server"
I have already tried the following at the advice of AppleCare reps:-
Have verified & repaired disk utilities & keychains
Have reinstalled the operating system
Have trashed the mail.plist file
Have trashed the outbox.mbox file
Getting quite frustrated now because we have a mac bookpro with identical mail settings and it is able to send and receive mail without any problems.Could it be the version of Mail I'm running ?
I initially thought that the problem related to having switched to a new ISP but the fact that one of the mac's has no problem has led me to be less convinced of that idea.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

I am having the same problem exactly. I can read e-mail, but get the same error message trying to send it. I can't use .Mac anymore--have to use alternate e-mail for the last month--since some time in October 2006.
I haven't changed anything on my G4, haven't upgraded anything, and the problem started about the time .Mac reported some customers were unable to use Mail for a couple of days in October.
I see nobody answered your post. Did you ever get your mail to work? I have repaired permissions, but I don't think it has anything to do with that.

Email Problem sending to same domain

Since Sunday night GMT+8, I have problem with sending mail to same domain user. Sometimes bounced and sometimes ok. I figure out there is some change in BIS's BB server

Problem sending/ receiveing SMS on a particular port in an intercarrier n/w

I am using JSR 120 to send & receive SMS on a particular port. This works perfectly between 2 devices using the same carrier.
if I try sending & receive inter-carrier SMS, like from T-Mobile device to Cingular device (or vice-versa), my j2me app does not receive any SMS on the port it is listening to.
When the SMS with a port is sent from my app, I get the prompt for permission to send. On pressing OK, the SMS is sent. On the receiving side, the device on the another carrier network receives the SMS in the default inbox, & not by my app.
I am not sure if this is a inter-carrier SMSC issue or something to do with my app.
Pl help.

Question simply put : When a j2me sms midlet sends an sms on a unique port to another j2me sms midlet listening on the same port, but served by a different carrier (cellular operator), why does the sms go to device inbox & not to my midlet?

Problem Send Receive SMS in one midlet

I'm writing one j2me midlet application using WMA library to send and Receive SMS.. Application behavior is : For receiving sms i implemented MessageListner so whenever sms comes, it notify the midlet and in that function i'm creating one thread and receiving sms and doing some parsing. Now i have to reply that sms so i'm sending some reply code by sms in the same thread but then after i'm unable to receive any message. Can any tell me what is the problem behind that? If i comment out send code then my application is able to receive any number of sms. I have used different connector.open objects like SMSREAD and SMSSEND to store message connection.
Please help me in this. My send and receive part works perfectly if i do send and receive in two different midlets....................

Problem sending receiving mp3 attacments.

I am having problems sending 3 mp3 files in total 16 meg. Mail sends the email and is in the sent folder, but if I send a copy to myself it's not coming back at me. I am on virgin and they except 20 meg. I sent a reduced archive of 10.5 meg and it sent and came back ok. Is there a setting in mail to address this. Does mail time out? Does it have an attachment limit? I don't want to archive as I want the mp3's to appear in the mail. I drag and drop or use the attachment button. Many thanks Antony.

Factory unlocked iPhone 5 having problems sending/receiving sms

I recently bought a factory unlocked iPhone 5 from the apple store in the US and I am unable to send/receive any sms/texts using my mobile provider B&YOU located in France.

Thanks for your questions and quick feedback. Yes I turned on SMS & MMS in my settings and yes my plan includes SMS & MMS. I tried something I saw in the forum concerning enabling the "show subject field" and for some strange reason, I am able to send messages after trying this. Seems strange, I am going to disable this "show subject field" and see if it will work or not. SMS should work regardless of if this option is active shouldn't it?

Mac mail problems sending receiving problems

I'm having a problem with mac mail for the first time. I am unable to send or receive email. It was working perfectly yesterday and this morning nothing.
It said I was unable to connect with the server and unable to verify my username and password. After an hour long converstion with my DSL carrier
all my passwords are verified. I have sent out test emails to friends and nothing is showing up in my sent folder.
Any thoughts suggestions on how to fix this.

Same here, I have Maverick, My exchange email keeps prompting me for my password, I know it is correct as i can access through Web. I deleted all email accounts off of phone, pad, Mac Book and I Mac. I deleted the entries inkeychain that had to do with the email accounts, I verified and repaired the keychain. Then entered my exchange email account aagin, it did find it and started downloading all entries. Then I added back my I cloud to the I mac. for some reason it again cant recongnize my password. help!

Problems sending/receiving

Hi guys,
I've spent way too long on this and I'm hoping someone can help me out.
A couple of days ago I thought I'd have a crack at installing CU1 on my 2013 server (around 12pm). It failed and it looked like I stopped receiving mail. I was however still 'connected to exchange'. I later realised that no mail was received after about
2pm that day.
I restored the entire server back to 7am that morning when I knew that the system was running fine. Strangely enough systems still aren't working.
I can connect to OWA/ECP and log in fine. I see my mail up until 2pm.
I can send email from OWA yet it doesn't appear in my outbox or sent items not does it appear in the exchange queue.
Outlook on domain computer says disconnected (Kerberos?) but my Outlook on my external computer says connected (basic authentication).
There are only 2 servers (Exchange and AD) and I've now changed our outgoing mail server and MX records so that mail doesn't pass through our spam filter.
Here's what I've done:
checked MX records
Removed port forward (all outbound traffic allowed) and re-added
Tested with remote connectivity analyser and got the following:
Testing TCP port 25 on host mail.domain.com.au to ensure it's listening and open.
The specified port is either blocked, not listening, or not producing the expected response.
Additional Details
The connection was established but a banner was never received.
Elapsed Time: 16673 ms.

Valuable lesson learned over these last few days.
A) Don't take snapshots and use them as backups when dealing with Exchange/AD
B) If you then restore the Exchange server via bare metal, you need to restore both servers
I restored the exchange server a couple of times, but I still had the same problem. I then restored both servers to the same point in time (prior to the incident) and they worked. I'm going to do some reading on why snapshots don't go well in this scenario
and hopefully I'll find my answer, but other than it looks like one infects the other somehow? Anyway - thanks for your help!

Problems sending a PDF via mail

Has anyone solved the problem of receiving duplicate e-mails?

I've posted this previously, but not gotten any satisfactory responses. A mail account I've been using for years is suddenly receiving duplicates. I have about ten mail accounts on my Mail app, and only this one is having this problem. I haven't changed any rules, I don't have a duplicate account. It's a huge pain, because there's so much I have to delete outright whenever I check my mail, plus, I have to do twice as much maintenance to keep down the amount of trash in the application. Anyone have any idea if this is a bug from a recent update? Or what's going on?
I've got the latest version of the OS X and mail (10.5.7 and 3.6). The account has been many places -- it was on my old G4 that had Tiger, then I got an aluminum Intel Core 2 Extreme iMac with Leopard and migrated everything over from the old system; then Apple had to replace my iMac three times because of power issues. Actually, it originated long before my G4 with Tiger. I've used this account forever. The problem, however, just cropped up spontaneously a few months ago, with no changes on my end. Thanks in advance for any help!

Have you looked on the web site for that one account to see if there are duplicate messages there? If not check that first. If therre aren't any duplicates there, the problem could be as simple as a corrupted Mail Index, which would be an easy fix. Post back with results.
