Att has checked validity of password. I am able to receive and send email from yahoo website but not on ipad mail

It sounds like you might need to contact Yahoo! if you aren't able to setup your email account as a new account after deleting it.

Once again, I have problems sending e-mails from my iPad 2. I have a telus account and I have dealt with their tech people and they have checked all my settings and everything is fine. Apple techs advised to open Gmail acct. and re-route through it? Why?

I saw one interesting solution to set a gmail account like as it is a "Microsoft Exchages" account... Maybe you can try to do the similiar with your Telus account? (I'm not sure about the result, but still you can try it))))

Problem sending externail mail from SAP

I am facing problem in sending external mail from SAP. for ex: yahoo, hotmail like that. But, i can able to send the mails to my domain ids. I have configured both the SMTP and SAP internet gateway to send mails.
But, i dont know what could be the problem in sending external mails.
Is there any body to help me in this regard

How are you trying to send an e-mail using ABAP or using actions or ?

Problem Sending e-mail from iPod Touch 4g through yahoo and gmail

The weird thing is, I get e-mail fine on my iPod from both yahoo and gmail, and send fine from one or two wifi networks, but can't send at all from one or two OTHER networks, even though the internet works fine on all of the networks I connect to, and I can perform other actions. Tried resetting my network settings, has not helped. Any ideas?

Sounds like the network's firewall or other security feature is blocking the ports used for sending the emails.
What type of neworks do not work? A businees network?

That really helped thanks. But problem still persists as yahoo is still in Chinese when it comes to confirm, and I can't access my yahoo mail from iPad. Thanks for sorting out apps store and ITunes and games. It certainly have saved me valuable time.

Problems sending e-mail from right gmail alias

I recently bought a new Macbook. Trying to synchronise Mail with my Gmail account, I have problems. On my Gmail account, I receive and send mail from multiple aliases. On my previous computer I didn't have any problems with this. Can you tell me how I can select the right alias from my Gmail account, so I can easily send an e-mail from Mail from the right address?

Mail won't send aol mail from ipad since updating to version 5

I use aol and since I updated to version 5 I can't send aol mail but I can receive it. Has anyone had that problem and found a solution?

I'm using AIM mail on my iPad 2 with no problems. I can send and receive.
I assume it was working fine before the upgrade? Did you double-check the settings?

Issue sending e-mails from iPad

I can send and receive e-mails when connected to my home wifi network but when I connect to another wifi network or the 3G network I can only receive e-mails and get error messages when trying to send e-mails. Does anyone have any idea how I can correct this?

Thanks Ewen - the issue was for the outgoing mail server. My provider ZEN automatically trusts mails sent from users home networks but requires password authentication as well as the use SSL setting to on if using other wifi networks or the 3g network.

No send of mail from Ipad via AOL today

Kept getting messages when sending emails that could not connect to aol outgoing server. Was able to receive mail and connect via wifi to internet. Was not local wifi network problem or really AOL servier problem as laptop could send/receive email.
I have removed and then reintalled my AOL account; powered down the Ipad but I just cannot send messages out.
I have read previous questions similar to this one.
Looking to see it others are having this problem today.

When I set up Mail on the iPad, AOL was one of the choices. I chose it, entered my address and password, and the iPad took care of setting everything up. Everything except the SSL setting!
At first, I could receive mail but not send. After turning on SSL, it seems to be sending mail OK, including attachments.
I'm using the imap.aol.com server. I've heard of web mail but have never tried it. I thought it was browser based, and did not use a mail client program.

Problem sending via Mail from my GoogleMail account.

I set up my Mail account yesterday (with my gmail account) and it functions perfectly but for the fact that I cannot send any outgoing mail- I can only receive.
When I attempt to send it says 'Cannot send the message using server smpt.googlemail.com'
I'm guessing that I've set up the outgoing server wrong. Does anyone know the correct thing to type into the server to make it work?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Glennbm: This is a simple check for your issue. I notice in your post you have quoted "'Cannot send the message using server smpt.googlemail.com' If the outgoing server is input as shown that may be your issue. I believe it should be "smtp" not "smpt"

Couldn't send e-mails from Mail, but could from Mailbox

I travel to different countries with my iPhone, and I've never had any problems sending e-mails from Mail for iOS . . . until recently.
On a recent trip to Germany, I could receive e-mails and surf the Web, but I couldn't send e-mails from Mail. I searched for a solution on the Web and tried everything I found, but nothing worked. Then I tried putting my iCloud settings in Mailbox for iOS and it worked fine. I could receive and also send, with no problems.
Any ideas about why I had the problem and why it worked with Mailbox? I'm hoping to avoid this problem in the future!

I tried your suggestion (thx!) but still cannot send email. In the Accounts Preferences pane I see this:
I have tried taking this account online by first taking all accounts offline then taking them all online but it won't go. My other gmail accounts are all online and working normally. It's just my one iCloud account that is having problems. hmm...

Problem Sending Verizon Mail Using Mail Program

I have not had a problem sending Verizon mail from my Mail program prior to Mavericks. Now it is giving me fits. I do not have any troubke receiving mail.
This is what I get when I try and send mail through my Verizon account. Do I just check Always Trust and then Connect. There have been no Certificate issues prior to Maverick. What is going on? I did not get anything like this yesterday before I upgraded to Mavericks.
