Problem since ipod touch has been used

Since I started using my ipod to view my mail (gmail) my mail on my macbook has stopped responding.
I am just getting a spinning wheel on the main gmail account, and if I try to send something the sent mail box also spins. The mail activity box shows the bar half way along and showing 80kbs and it will sit like that for a long time.
My ipod is retrieving mail no problem and I can open up gmail using safari and everything seems fine.

Turns out my iPod was not the problem, I had attempted to send an email with a large attachment that was too big, it then froze my gmail. The file that was causing the problem was in a folder called recovered mail, and no matter how many times I tried to delete it it came back.
I have since managed to remove the offending email and attachment and my mail is now back to normal.

  • Can we find out if a missing iPod Touch has been used?

My son lost his 4th Gen iPod touch a few months ago.  It could have been stolen, but it was probably misplaced.  In the odd chance that one of his friends was dishonest, is there a way of contacting Apple to see if his serial number/unit has been used in the past few months?
    Thanks!

He ended up finding his iPod Touch, fortunately, several months later.  If we didn't locate it, it would have been nice just to find out if someone else was using it.  A simple, "yes, someone has signed onto iTunes with your device" would have been fine.  Or, "no, it has not accessed iTunes since x/x/xx".

  • Hi, my iPod touch has been unable to sync since downloading the new cloud software.  It says: An error occurred while restoring this iPod (-34)  So my music is not on it.  it doesn't have 3G so the cloud is pointless anyway.  Music is all I use on it.

Hi, my iPod touch has been unable to sync since downloading the new cloud software.  It says: An error occurred while restoring this iPod (-34)  So my music is not on it.  The apps are still on it.  It doesn't have 3G so the cloud is pointless anyway.  It just said it was a software update, I should have avoided it.  Music is all I use on it so help me please!

So now when i connect it to iTunes it tells me to verify it on the phone, but i cant get in there because it is disabled. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!! I HAVE NO IDEA ON HOW TO FIX IT!! I've tried to restore it, I've tried to jailbreak it. NOTHING works!! PLEASE HELP!!!

  • Ipod Touch has been frozen for  a week and a half now and i been turning it off by the sleep and top button.. how do you fix it?

My Ipod Touch has been frozen for almost two weeks now. I have truning it off by useing the sleep and top button and it is still not working. I have been pluging it in my laptop and it is sycning but still did noting. What should I do?

It seems as your iOS Software Is most likely corrupt. Try doing a software restore in iTunes by clicking in your iPod and clicking the Restore button. This will restore your iPod to factory settings. So back up your Music, Videos, and purchases before restoring.

  • My ipod touch has been stolen. What can I do about it?

My ipod touch has been stolen. Can I report it? How can i track it to get it back or something?

Call the cops, change your passwords, call your home owner's insurance agent to report the theft (Insurance MAY cover your loss...), buy a new iPod 'cause your's is long gone...
And FMP is worthless for locating an iPod.  FMP uses wireless router locations, so if your router is not registered, or the location data was not properly reported, FMP will say your iPod is in BFE (Bum F#$% Egypt) or some such place.

my ipod touch has been of for ages and now has blue squiggly flashing lines...is it broken or can I do something ?

    - First try resetting your iPod:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Then restore the iPod via iTunes.  First from backup and if problems persist, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
    -  If still problems you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  This article has some information on steps you can take if your device is stolen:
