Problem sisnce IMAP enabled

Hi All,
I have enabled IMAP on my Exchange 2013 server with the following command.
Set-ImapSettings -ExternalConnectionSetting {server.com:993:SSL}
Since doing this and starting the imap services, mt outlook 2010 are no longewr able to start outlook, I have stopped the IMAP
services but issue continues. All 2013 outlook clients ok.
Any advice on how to resolve please.

According to your description, I am not quite sure about your issue. If possible, please confirm the following points to narrow down the issue:
1. After restarting IMAP service, Outlook 2010 can't connect to Exchange 2013 with IMAP connection or general Exchange connection?
2. Does the issue happen to all Outlook 2010 users with IMAP connection?
3. Please double confirm if the IMAP connection works well with all Outlook 2013 users.
If the IMAP connction works fine in Outlook 2013, it indicates that the IMAP configuration in server side should be proper. We can follow Tek-Nerd's suggestion to reconfigure the Exchange account with IMAP settings in Outlook 2010 to have a try.

Problems moving IMAP store to a new drive in 10.4 Server

I'm having some problems with IMAP mail in 10.4 Server. I'm trying to move my mail store over to a different volume and have been having problems. Here are the locations:
Database location: /Volumes/vol-old/Mail/Database
Mail store location: /Volumes/vol-old/Mail/Store
I'm trying to move them to:
/Volumes/vol-new/Mail/Database
/Volumes/vol-new/Mail/Store
So what I initially did was to clone vol-old to vol-new using SuperDuper, and enter the new paths into the two fields in Server Admin. Simple, right? Seems like it should be, but when I try this, upon a client trying to log in I get this repeated over and over in my /var/log/mailaccess.log:
Feb 6 21:25:38 pmac imaps[1606]: Fatal error: ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist: /Volumes/vol-new/Mail/Database

As far as I can tell, vol-old/Mail and vol-new/Mail are exactly the same. I tried re-copying vol-old/Mail to vol-new/Mail using ditto and cp -Rp with the same results.
I've also tried renaming vol-new to vol-old with the same results.
The old mail store, at /Volumes/vol-old/Mail, continues to work fine.
I am stumped. Anyone have any ideas?

I did stop the mail service before copying, and ACLs are disabled on both volumes. The permissions within the Mail dirs all look to be the same...
What I didn't do was look at directory permissions... vol-old was 755... vol-new was 700. Changed it, works fine now.

Also, the user 'oimuser' has sufficient privileges for the view 'PS_RSTR_FMSU_VW'. The data in the view is accessible and can be read when logged-in as oimuser in SQL developer.

Problems with comments-enabled PDF: I can't see my client's comments

I really hope somebody can help me.
THE SITUATION: I have a comments-enabled PDF. The comments repository is located on my externally hosted webdav server. Both my client and I have local copies of the PDF, and up until today, my client was able to post comments on the PDF.
THE PROBLEM:
- Today, my client suddenly noticed that the review had "expired" and she can't post her comments.
- I am able to see and post my own comments in the PDF, but I can't see my client's comments in the PDF.
- My client can see her own comments. (I don't know if she can see mine.)
- If I log into my webdav site with FTP, I can see my client's XML file which contains all her comments. I can also see my own XML file which contains my comments, and it is indeed updating each time I add a new comment.
I thought it would be possible to import the XML file containing all her comments into the PDF. However XML is not a format that Acrobat allows you to import!!! It only will accept FDF, XFDF, or PDF!
Phone tech support was spectacularly unhelpful. I seriously doubt "Nelson" from Bombay has ever used Acrobat in his life. He asked me to send the file to him, which I did, but I haven't heard back.
So my question is:
1) How can I get my Acrobat file to view the comments which are sitting on the comments server in an xml file? Why would it see mine but ignore hers?
2) If I can't get the comments to show up, then can I at least import my client's comments, which are currently sitting in an XML file, into my PDF?
bonus question: Why is there so little documentation about dealing with webdav comments repositories? Is it considered better to use acrobat.com instead of our own webdav server or something?
This is Acrobat 9.1.0 Pro for Leopard.

I have decided to go over to her office, create an archive of her PDF, then try to pull those comments into a new PDF.
This is a GIANT PAIN. And egg in my face, after I've sold this client on the ease and convenience of a PDF workflow!
So is there any way to get xml comments back into a PDF???

Serious performance problems with IMAP

Hi,
our Groupwise server runs on SLES10 SP4, has about 2500 accounts in 7 postoffices, one gwia, one mta and webaccess.
When IMAP is activated on the gwia, the cpu load goes to 99% after a couple of hours, making the server unusable. When I turn IMAP off the cpu load is stable under 1%.
We have already limited the number of items per folder to 1000.
Where do I look? What do I do? I'm at my wits end!!!

Junk mail problem, using IMAP

I have many folders on my IMAP account and server-side rules to sort my e-mail. Mail correctly synchronizes all these folders (almost, it sometimes shows a wrong number of new messages until I open the folder. But that's a minor issue).
The problem is junk-mail. In one folder i receive a lot of spam. When the junk filter is in training mode, it correctly identifies the spam messages and highlights them with the brown color. When I configure the junk filter to "automatic" mode it seems to correctly detect junk mail, and moves messages to the Junk folder (when I answer "Yes" to run the filter in the current mailbox instantly). However, when I receive spam and the filter is already in automatic mode, messages seem to be detected as spam, but they're not moved to the Junk folder. When I view the messages, I get the button to mark them as "Not junk". The messages aren't marked with the brown color either.
This is an issue both when the Junk folder is on the server, or locally.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues? If I don't find a solution to this I'll have to switch to Thunderbird...

Yes, I am having the same problem. I've tried changing a slew of mail preferences. So far nothing is quite satisfactory. In fact, for about 36 hours I didn't recieve any email at all, including test messages sent to myself. I'm not sure where it all went. It's confusing. And Mail's documenation *****.
I'd love to hear if you figure this out.

Connection Problems with iMAP and Mail in Mountain Lion

Hi everybody,
since the Update on Mountain Lion I am having the following problem:
When my iMac wakes up after some time, Mail isn't working anymore by showing the triangle with the exclamation mark. By clicking on it it shows the following picture (sorry for being in german). What you see is, that the internet connection works fine but Mail says it cannot connect to the iCloud iMAP Server. I should check if iCloud supports SSL and if it does not, deactivate it...
After closing Mail an reopening it again, everything works fine until the next episode of waking up...
Any hints??

If you do, I highly recommend wiping the harddrive and doing a clean
install. An upgrade install, especially from two versions back is going
to be nothing short of a crapshoot.
Deactivate any software before doing so.

Problem in web enabling ALV ABAP report via ITS. Please help!

I have a report that has a selection screen. On executing the selection screen an ALV output loads displaying data based on the selection criteria.
I have web enabled it via ITS. I have used SICF transaction.
When I run the internet service I can see only the selection screen. There is no execute button also. I also see a different layout then if my report has only selection screen. If my report has only selection screen then my page shows all the buttons including execute.
How to resolve this problem? Please help!

since you mentioned about SICF, i assume you are using integrated ITS.

you wont see the execute icon, instead you will see a button with "execute" text. (you can also use F8 key)

the layout of SAPGUI for HTML is slightly different, if you want (somewhat) similar look of a wingui, either make your transaction as "Easy Web Transaction" or in the url pass ~webtransactiontype=EWT

Problem syncing IMAP emails?

I don't know what I did but ever since yesterday my IMAP won't sync on my MacBook Pro and iPhone. The symptoms are as follows...
1) Email just keeps coming into the Inbox on my iPhone. At present it's showing 24 new mails, and growing. I am reading these emails on my MacBook Pro but they are not being marked as 'Read' on the iPhone. Also, if I go in and read them on the iPhone (just to get rid of the 'new mail' indicators), the next time I connect over Edge, 3G or whatever they all just revert back to unread? It's really annoying.
2) If I move older emails out of my Inbox and into my archived folders 'On my Mac', they just get downloaded again into Apple Mail when I do send/receive. Apple mail is not communicating with my server and removing these messages from my Inbox on the server.
3) I can't send email at all (unless I'm on my home WiFi). I keep getting an error "Can't send email. One of the recipients addresses was invalid." The addresses are always fine so I don't know why I'm getting this error.
This sounds like and Apple Mail problem to me. Or am I wrong, is it to do with my email provider?
I've just spent the last few hours removing apps from my iPhone as the 'Back-up' was taking over an hour before each sync. Now I get this problem. It's really bugging me. As an Apple user for over 10 years I'm getting really frustrated with all these glitches that keep appearing these days.

Are you SURE that you are setting up your email account on your iPhone using the IMAP protocol?
It sounds like you used POP!
Also, Re 3: Have you got your service provider's SMTP server correct?
If I use my service provider to send email, I need to use smtp.sp.com, while at home (via wifi) I need to use that service provider's SMTP server -- smtp.zzz.com!
So what I did was to use a SMTP server that you need to authenticate through before you can send email - which works on EVERY network in the world!!!

Problem with version enabling tables with ric.

i have the a problem when i want to version enable tables having ref. int. constraits having delete rule cascade or set null.
Is it possible that i can't version enable the tables because of these constraints? How i could solve this problem if i want to keep the delete rule?

Hi,
We are internally creating a <table_name>_g procedure that transfers privileges to the necessary users. If you have a table with that name, it would explain the error.
When using ignore_last_error, it will skip the statement that is selected from the all_wm_vt_errors view. Sometimes, the statement can be safely skipped, while in other cases it cannot be. This procedure will always eventually complete when it is repeatedly called with ignore_last_error set to true. However in doing so, some required objects or privileges may not exist or be in an invalid state.
In your case, you most likely had to skip the 3 or so statements that dealt with the <table_name>_g procedure. Typically, these statements should not be skipped, but you may or may not see a problem with it due to a number of factors.
The best course of action may be to drop the trigger in a beginDDL/commitDDL session, and then recreate it in a separate session. Of course, only do this after renaming the <table_name>_g table that you have. Unfortunately, there is currently no way of getting around this naming convention.

Problem with option: enable this distribution point for prestaged content

Hi, for past few days I have been focused on application deployment with SCCM 2012 R2 (I am learning SCCM 2012 R2 reading books, watching video trainings . . .). Having followed allong book Mastering System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager I also did
deployment of Microsoft Office 2013, Adobe Reader 11, Foxit Reader 4.2 and Notepad ++ to test collection containing one Windows 7 computer. In one of examples prestaged content file is created for Foxit Reader application. In order to do so, if I am
right, option Enable this distribution point for prestaged content
has to be checked on distribution point and I did that.
Problem is that I noticed deployment of any application to test collection failed every time - system waits for prestaged content file if this option is selected. Then I have to delete deployment of given application, application itself, deselect option
Enable this distribution point for prestaged content and create app, distribute it to DP and deploy to test collection - then everything works well.
To make things worse, having deselect option Enable this distribution point for prestaged content (I did it yesterday and I checked that several times) this morning I checked again and this option is selected again. What might be the cause
of this behaviour? I expected this option to be deselected - this is weird to say at least.

When you enable the option "Enable this distribution
point for prestaged content" on a DP, it causes newly created applications/packages to default to "Manually copy the content in this package to the distribution point"... This would then cause the deployments on the clients to remain
at 'waiting for content' - unless if you manually prestage the content, as this option requires it.
If you enable the option "Enable this distribution
point for prestaged content" on the DP, but want to automatically have CM distribute the content, then configure the app/package to do so,
before distributing the content: Distribution Settings tab > Prestaged distribution point settings > Automatically download content when packages are assign to distribution points.

Problem with IMAP email in E52

I have that problem with the email on my E52 v034.001:
I am using my personal email (Gmail via IMAP) and it is working fine, on this one I am receiving few emails a day.
When I am trying to set up my company's email, all the settings are ok, receives emails and then just hangs up, frozes. Sometimes even for like 10 miutes! I can always click on "hang up" button, and it goes back to home screen, but then again it ignores me when i want to go to menu or email for at least 10-15minutes. Then I'm going back to email when it's fine, opening it, it connects and then after few seconds crashes again. Every time I go near email it crashes. I went to settings, i wanted to get my companys email preview on to my homescreen, i just higlighted "email" field and it crashed.
Tested couple of different emails (POP3, IMAP, Exchange) and all of them are working fine. It's this particular one which i am having problems with, and i have no idea why is it happening. My workmates are using blackberries and iphones and it's working fine for them.
Did any of you hear about something like that?

I can confirm that this bug was fixed with version 054.003 (15-Jan-2011).

Nokia 5800Xpressmusic problem with IMAP notificati...

I've just bought the 5800XM in Hong Kong. Everything seems to work correctly so far except the new email notification. I have set up a 2 gmail account in IMAP mode and for the first one, everytime I active the automatic retrieval every 5min, I have two MAIN anoying issues :
1° it downloads ALL my emails headears (+2200!!!), the processor goes so slow as you can imagine during the first connexion NO POSSIBILITIES TO LIMIT the number of emails downloaded !!
2° After that it connects automaticaly every 5min as set up but these times it doesn't download new emails !!!
For the second account which has only a few emails in it, it retrieves every new emails but WITHOUT NOTIFICATION NO SOUND NO ALERT NOTHING !!! I have done everythings.

You have to remember another important thing - this is not just the 5800, the business orientated E90 has the same problem in recent firmware which wasn't there in the original firmware. I don't really think your argument about it not being a business centric phone applies either, Nokia have already given the 5800 the standard S60 client so clearly they've decided that despite it being music-centric, it should still have a mail client. And this is a bug, not a feature - it's quite simply stupid to only allow the phone to download every mail, it would make far more sense to be able to use the limit system they have in place, only download new mail or to allow the auto-update portion (which has the limit) to connect to the mailbox automatically. The current system is actually more complex than either of those as it actually goes and downloads everything, unfortunately it's an undesirable 'feature' as the phone simply cannot do it as it will keep downloading until it actually kills itself.
