Problem starting dreamweaver

Hy!
I'm a really desperate dreamweaver user: Today while working
with it, the program closed abrut.
When i'd like to restart it, it opens the splash screen til
the point "Initialisiere Einfügen" (German message - sorry I
dont know the correct translation for this sentence in english)
Than the start of the program stops and an error msg is shown
that the program has to be closed.
There is the same error at the versions dreamweaver mx, 8 and
CS3. I use them on MAC OSX 10.5.1.
I really hope anyone of you know a soloution!

I am running Windows 7 and added some extensions from DMXZone.com. Now when trying to start Dreamweaver CS4 I am getting the following:

Problems starting Dreamweaver 8 CS2 versoin

I've not opened Dreamweaver in awhile. So by the time I did I
had upgraded my Mac OS to version 10.4.11 now I just can't open it.
What happens? The Dreamweaver icon jumps a couple of times in my
dock and then disappears. I've checked to update Dreamweaver and I
do have the current update. Does anyone know what other steps I can
take?

This is probably not the answer you want, but the Create Web Photo Album feature creates ugly pages with hideous code. Even if you could get it working with the trial version of Fireworks CS4, I doubt if you would be happy with the results.
I don't know about the inner workings of Dreamweaver-Fireworks integration, but I suspect that Dreamweaver 8 will recognize Fireworks 4 to 8, but not any higher version. For one thing, Dreamweaver needs to open Fireworks to process the images, but is unlikely to be able to find the program. If you really want to try it with Fireworks CS4, you could try opening the Preferences panel, and selecting File Types/Editors. Set the location for Fireworks in there.
Although Create Web Photo Album still survives in Dreamweaver CS4, there's a much better option in Bridge, which is included with Dreamweaver CS4. I suspect that the days of Create Web Photo Album are limited.

Error when starting Dreamweaver CC after first installation

I'm running CC under OS X 10.9. Having installed Dreamweaver CC as an admin-user using the CC Manager Dreamweaver doesn't start. The dreamweaver icon is shown in the OS X dock for a second, then disappears without starting dreamweaver.
Repairing the disk permissions won't help. Uninstalling an reinstalling Dreamweaver CC won't help.
Dreamweaver CS5 runs without problems, also Photoshop / Bridge / Premiere CC.

The Dreamweaver log file reports some errors like "Unable to delete directory "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/..." I assigned the necessary rights to this directory including all subdirectories: Dreamweaver starts and works fine!
I hope this will solve the InDesign problem as well; I'll try and report.

Problem starting help in 8.0.2

In Dreamweaver 8.0.2 (Windows XP) whenever I try to access
the help files (F1 or Help/Dreamweaver Help) I get an error
message, "Problem starting help."
This has only been a problem recently. The only thing that I
can think of that has changed is that I upgraded to IE7. I read in
other postings to the forum that accessing help files made
Dreamweaver crash and the problem seemed to be related to IE7. This
is not what happens to me; it doesn't lock up or crash, it just
gives the error message. I tried the fix that was recommended in
the crashing scenario (rename PSAPI.DLL to PSAPI_OLD.DLL) but that
makes no difference.
Is there another solution?

This thread covers some of the known issues with Win IE7 Beta
1 through 3 and Dreamweaver MX 2004 and 8. The thinking seems to be
the only solution is a clean install of Windows, although no one
seems to have offered this as a solution for the final release
version of IE7's conflict with Dreamweaver's Help files. Reading
the whole thread may provide some insight and options.

Problem Uninstalling Dreamweaver

I'm having a problem uninstalling Dreamweaver. When I try uninstalling it, it starts uninstalling it and then it just crashes. If I attempt to reinstall it to uninstall it, then it's stuck on "Preparing Files".
Any ideas?

I'm having problems activating dreamweaver on new pc using original activation code

I have a copy of StudioMX 2004 and was having problems activating Dreamweaver on my new pc using the original code. It says there is a network error but there isn't. When I try to activate by phone the number they give is for Lloyds bank insurance. I did a live chat with Support and they gave me a new code which worked and activated Dreamweaver but I didn't think to activate Fireworks at the same time. When I have tried using either the old code or the new I get the same error message and same Lloyds bank phone number. I have tried live chat but they refuse to help saying they don't support Dreamweaver 2004 ..any one any ideas?

The version of Dreamweaver that you have does not support any of the latest web standards. While I advise you to follow Ken's instructions, I also want you to download a trial version of the latest Creative Cloud application https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/dreamweaver and give it a run. The page also has some excellent resources to help you get started.

After dreamweaver cs 5.5 installation. i getting this below error and system has been shutdown
c00000021a (0xc0000005) system fatal error.
i am using win xp sp2 32bit system.
AMD phenom II x4 945 and 2 gb ram ddr3
i have installed photoshop cs5. but is working fine. but when i start dreamweaver sytem got shutdow.
Please give me solution for this.

The error 0xC0000005 is generated by an illegal "memory access violation". This can be caused by anything from faulty RAM, to an incorrect/corrupt device driver, to poorly written/updated software and more commonly under Windows XP Service pack 2, malware/adware installations.
Usually you get this error message when performing a specific task, and if that happens you need to check the corresponding 3rd party's website/support department to see if they are aware of the problem. I doubt it is a Dreamweaver problem though, based on personal experience.
..a while back Symantec Antivirus caused the 0xC0000005 error with an additional message about a file called SAVRT.SYS . A simple software update to the Symantec Antivirus cured the problem.
0xC0000005 - Resolution Suggestion One:
In many cases this error has been generated by faulty RAM memory. So if you have just upgraded your computer with some new memory and you started getting this error then I would remove the new RAM and see if the error goes away. If it does then send the memory back and get a refund!
XP is on SP3 and you should really be running it.
If you don't have malware detection, get some, run a scan and clean it fromyour system.

Problems in Dreamweaver with cut-and-paste

Hi there.
I wondered if someone could help with a small problem within
Dreamweaver CS4. If I have two different CSS style sheets open, and
I highlight a certain section of one CSS stylesheet to take the
rule to another CSS stylesheet, for some unknown reason as soon as
I do "copy" the whole of the stylesheet is highlighted, the only
way I can stop this from happening is to double-click on the "code"
button at the top left-hand side of the Dreamweaver window. Is
there any other way to stop this from happening. I am running
Dreamweaver CS4 on the windows Vista platform.

At last - someone else with the same problem!
I have been leaving messages on here for ages to try to get some response from Adobe. Someone kindly suggested getting rid of the preferences folder, but that didn't solve the problem.
I think its something wrong with Dreamweaver CS4. I have reverted back to CS3 until they come up with an upgrade!
Out of interest does this happen straight away or after a period of time? I found if you quit Dreamweaver and restart it usually its ok for a while.
Do you also have the same problem editing the code? I find I can't put the cursor anywhere WITHIN a chunk of PHP. The cursor highlights the whole lot. I have to click all over the place until it eventually works as normal - or I have to quit Dreamweaver and start again.
Are you using a Mac too?

I am having a lot of problem using dreamweaver cs3. It always crashes whenever i write or copy a piece of code in it. It was alright from last couple of months but now it crashes whenever i start using it.

well, I don´t know this extension and can´t help you. I was just looking at the iptsolutions.com website, and - apart from not seeing any information related to this extension - they say it´s a "Macromedia Dreamweaver" extension, though Dreamweaver CS3 is an Adobe product.
That said, it might well be that their extensions have simply not been updated for being compatible with CS3, and that´s assumingly why it won´t work here -- however the recommendable way would be to always ask the extension developers, as they are the only ones who can provide first-hand anwers.

Problems with Dreamweaver CS6

i am having some problems lunching dreamweaver cs6 well i downloaded it last week or that forgot when sorry, but when it worked fine till today i think sorry i forgot when it happened i just remembered my self then when i started my laptop i tell you what i did.
Start > All Programs > Adobe Dreamweaver CS6
Then i did that then when i clicked on it i got a error message saying look below:

Problem with dreamweaver and Flash

Hi, maybe someone can help me, i have any problem with
dreamweaver and flash, i have a page and i have a menu and
sub-menu, and the same page i have a category en flash 550 x 700 (
photography and more... ) but when the menu to unfold
the menu to see under flash and it cant see ( sorry my
english is bad.... i hope you can understand me, and help me.. )

This is a drawback of using flash or any other active
content. By default, all active content including flash will
display over every other content and thats why your menu stays
under the flash movie. Some people make the flash background
transparent to show content under the flash movie, but that will
not work for menu items.
I would suggest that you make the menu such that it does not
overlap with the flash movie.

There is no plus sign and going into optins and changing settings has not worked. I have uninstall FF and reinstall-keeping my personalization-and that was no help.
Right clicking on FF Icon to open a new tab, or going up to FF drop down tab and clicking on new tab both do not work.
Help everything opens a new window not a new tab. there seems to be no way to reset this or to chose a different optin. I just downloaded new tabs at end addon and it didn't do a thing.

That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...
