Problem switching printers in CS6.

I'm working on posters in CS6 Beta and have to switch to the Large Format Printer. It is bumping me out of the software when I switch printers.

If you can give a little more info, we can look into this...
What type of system are you on? (mac/pc, os?)
What printer are you trying to switch to?

Hi,
I'm trying to switch to Encore CS6. At least that's the plan. I like all the features I've read about, and it would solve a lot of problems for me. BUT whenever I try to load a clip into Encore it just crashes. I'm running the latest Encore (according to Adobe Update) under OS X 10.8.1 (latest). Sure, my clip is about a 2 and a half hour movie, but that shouldn't be a problem for Encore right? It's supposed to be a professional piece of software now, righ? (As apposed to the previous versions.)

Actually I am on a PC - I saw this thread while on holiday and made a quick reply failing to notice he was using a MAC.
On a PC the easiest way is to run the Intel driver update utility: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu
It is a basic driver for a computer and will be installed already on a PC (assuming it is correctly set up). If not you will have an unknown device in device manager. You can see which version is installed in control panel - programs and features. It will be listed as an installed item. Since I had this problem a couple of months ago I cannot tell you which version did not work I am afraid. I have not had major problems updating to the latest one (version 8) with Adobe software on any system.
I am a PC guy so don't know much about how updating individual drivers work on a MAC. I am guess you just get Apple to update the os - although I think this person is on the latest version.

You must have a Mac. Try this.
Quit Bridge, from user library (NOT system and root library) preferences folder find and delete the com.adobe.bridge5.plist file manual. Do this also in same user library caches folder (Caches/Adobe/Bridge CS6) and inhere find and the folder called 'cache' and drag it to the trash.
restart Bridge holding down option key and choose reset preferences, then try again.

Problems with Adobe Speedgrade CS6 in Windows 7

I am having problem with Adobe Speedgrade CS6 on my Windows 7 machine with the following specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
Gateway FX 6800-01e
2.67 GHz i7 Quad-core processor
16.0 GB RAM
750GB primary hard drive (Seagate ST3750528AS)
2 - 2TB secondary hotswap drives
NVidia Quadro 4000 w 2GB dedicated RAM
2 Acer 231SHL HD monitors running in extended dual screen mode
Adobe Speedgrade 6.0.4x25
It takes almost 3 minutes to open and when it does open it is slow to respond. After trying to troubleshoot it through driver updates, etc., I have done a totally clean reinstall of Windows 7, updated drivers where applicable, and disabled all malware and antivirus protection to rule out interference. I have also tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. I have also applied the latest update through the program interface. The other components of the suite I have installed are:
Premiere Pro CS6
After Effect CS6
Acrobat XI
Audition
Bridge
Photoshop (32-bit and 64-bit versions)
Lightroom 4.3
Prelude
The other components, including Premiere and After Effects open fine with no problem. I would appreciate any assistance with this problem that might be offered, as I am frustrated and stumped. Thanks in advance!

I've got almost the same problem. Every program from adobe production premium are working fine, but when I start movie on speedgrade windows blows off.
It's on windows 7 pro.

Problem related to PS CS6 ext. on Mac. Nikon DSLR D610 raw file can not be opened

Problem related to PS CS6 ext. on Mac. Installation is OK but I can't open picture from my Nikon D610 (Raw NEF format). I get a message "can not open this format ...". Checking Help menu to see if I miss an update the message I get is that I'm up-to-date but at the end Nikon D610 (format supported of course) files can not be opened . JPEG are OK but I work with raw files. Thanks

What OS are you running: 10.x.x?
What version of the Camera Raw plug-in do you have? Do (About) Plug-ins / Camera Raw to find out.
You need at least ACR 8.3 to open D610 files. If the Help / Updates process does not work, then there is a manual install process you can do. The page with the download is for when people accidentally updated to ACR 8.4 and need to roll back to ACR 8.3 due to their OS being incompatible, but the installer on that page works even if you haven’t erroneously updated to ACR 8.4:

I have a problem with my photoshop CS6 retina display. my photoshop doesn't support retina on my Macbook pro 15 retina. the version I have in my laptop is 13.0v. I was trying to update to 13.1 from my photoshop through > help > update but this option is off. it is appear gray color. I couldn't click on it. please help me.

Mac Perpetual CS6 current version is 13.0.6 the subscription version is version 13.1.2. How are you trying to update to 13.1.?? do you have a Creative Cloud Subscription?

PHOTOSHOP CS6 PLUGIN PROBLEM; I have PS CS6 & a mac osx 10.7.5 I have downloaded the pluginhttps://sourceforge.net/projects/panotools/ I drag it to the applications folder (applications/photoshop/plugins) and it shows up there, but it does not show up when I reopen photoshop, can anyone tell me if this is a valid plugin or what I am doing wrong?

Thank you for the link, I don't see where the licensing is listed at all, I also don't see where it says it is for existing CS2 users only & the line install a special version that does not require activation -
doesn't scream it'd be a problem to load it especially since I already own a later version that I can't use the plugin on - …I don't find the site all that informative. I appreciate all the answers & responses to my use of CS2 but I'd really just like to receive an answer to the original question of if the plugin works with it or not…if anyone has that answer I'd appreciate it.
Is there a place I can purchase it? I will gladly do so if I can get the plugin to work-that is my goal.

Strange audio problem in Premiere Pro CS6

I have encountered a very strange problem. I am editing a documentary film in Premiere Pro. All material has been shot on the Sony FS 100 camera - imported into PP with the Media Browser. In one interview the last part of a clip has corrupted audio. At one point on the timeline the audio stops playing, and it sounds like a scratch on a vinyl record - two words repeating themselves to the end of the clip (See screenshot of timeline). The images are as they should. When I open the Avchd source clip in VLC the audio is working. When i Import the clip into Final Cut 7 using Log and Transfer the audio is working. My only other option would be that there is a software problem with Premiere Pro CS6. Any ideas of how to fix this issue?

One similar, potential problem, that can develop, is when the Conforming process is interrupted, before it completes 100%.
A quick way to rule that out, would be to navigate to the Media Cache files, and Delete the CFA and PEK (Waveform Display) for that Clip, outside of Premiere Pro. Then, when you launch PrPro and Open your Project, the program will recreate both of those files. There is a little progress bar, that many do not notice. Let it complete 100%, before even touching the computer. Test.

mam problem z aktualizacją Photoshop CS6 (z 13.0 do 13.0.1.1). Zarówno aktualizacja za pomocą automatycznego uaktualnienia jak i po pobraniu, rozpakowaniu i uruchomieniu paczki "Photoshop_CS6_13_0_1_1_upd.zip" (dla Windows) zakończyła się niepowodzeniem.

Czy możesz spróbuj zaktualizować Adobe Application Manager, jak zarządza aktualizacje dla aplikacji. Po jego aktualizacji, uruchomić aktualizację dla programu Photoshop CS6 i sprawdzić aktualizację ponownie.
Można uruchomić program Photoshop, przejdź do Pomoc - O programie Adobe Photoshop i sprawdzić, co jest obecny na liście wersji, czasami nie zdajemy sobie sprawy, że został już zaktualizowany, a tym samym nie pozwolił zainstalować.

Printing black switching printers doesn't help

I can't print black!! Switching printers doesn't help, fresh ink, new printer, tried all of that ... must be something in the MAC???

Could be the computer or maybe not.
If you really want help you should:
1. Post to the correct forum, which is the printing forum for the version of OS X you are using.
2. Complete your profile so we have a clue what iMac you own including the OS X version.
3. Indicate what printer you have and state how it's connected to your iMac.
4. List in detail any troubleshooting steps you have take.
Once you have completed #2 then at least we can point you the correct printing forum.

Problems switching OS's

ok i have SL and win 7 boot camp drivers are installed that came on the SL disc. Is bootcamp 3.0 the version that comes with SL? Also when booting to the win partition half the time the computer gets to the desk top, screen go black and nothing. I then have to hold down the power button wait 5-7 seconds then boot to safe mode, restart in reg mode and it works. Has anyone else run into this problem. It should be noted that the only change to the any of the hardware is an after market battery. could that be causing the issues? I've tried reloading bootcamp also running the windows update hoping there might be new drivers but nothing seems to help. thanks all.

i'm going to bump this is think it has been burried again. any help would be great. I'm still having problems switching OS's.
