Problem synching aperture photos with iPad/iPhone ios8

Updated to Yosemite. Attempting to sync select photos (Aperture) with iPad Air (ios8) or iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1) with iTunes. When I click Photos in the left-hand column of iTuns I get is an endless loading loop icon in the middle of the screen. No option to select Aperture or the albums, etc. What's going on? Error (-50) synching Aperture photos to iPhone

Hi,
iTunes seems chronically unable to synch some of my Aperture photos to my iPhone. This is not universal, but it happens consistently if I include certain albums in the list to be synched.
Basically, the synch proceeds as normal, with the iTunes status saying "synching photo X of Y" with X counting up, but after a while, it stops, generates a popup and none of the photos appear to have synched. The popup error says "The iPhone MikesIPhone cannot be synched. An unknown error has occurred (-50)." A message is also written to a console that says:

Any ideas how to fix this? I've tried "Generating Previews" in Aperture for all of the photos in the offending album, but this does not help. (Note that the photos sync fine with an old-style Apple TV.) I feel like the iPhone-downscaled cache of the image must be corrupted somehow, but I don't know how to force it to be rebuilt without deleting/reimporting the photos (and thereby losing all of my edits and metadata, etc.)

I'm having the same issue. It appears to be a problem in Aperture because the iPhone will sync normally if I select iPhoto in the Sync Photos from menu in iTunes (or if I stop syncing photos altogether).
I read on another thread about deleting the iPod Photo cache, so I did that, but it didn't have any effect on this problem.
This issue only recently started on my machine, and I can't recall doing or changing anything that might have induced the problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can not sync photos with iPad or iPhone after upgrade to lion

I upgraded to lion and now i get an error message saying could not sync photos with Ipad as they can not be viewed on the ipad. I lost everything when i upgraded and had to reload all my files using a new user. Now i cant sync my photos with my ipad or my iphone. some come over but only about 10% of the photos.

On my iPad when I hold down on the rotate buttons it does rotate but I see that you have the same problem that I do regarding the iPad menu appearing when holding a button for more than a half second or so. Do you have any idea how to prevent the (Copy | Select | Select All) menu from popping up on the iPad?

Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using your ID.

Issues when syncing photos with iPad

It just gets better...iPhoto 11 will not sync with iPad library if it contains old iPhoto 9 pictures. Excellent, a communication device that can longer communicate (Spot the irony). Aperture sync with iPad is OK

I may be doing something wrong... I'm trying to sync my pictures folder, and within it, I have one folder per year, and within them, one folder per month.
When I synch'ed my iPad, all 5,000 photos were in just one album, making it quite impractical to browse through them.
This is my folder structure:
My pictures
\-- 2009
\-- 2009-01
\-- 2009-02
\-- etc
\-- 2010
\-- 2010-01
Is there any way to replicate that into albums in the iPad?

Itunes don't sync Outlook calender with IPad/IPhone

When I use Itunes to sync Outlook 2013, installed on Windows 8, with IPad/IPhone it will not sync the calender, but the contacts sync very well.
What do I do to solve the problem?
AND ICloud is NOT a solution.

I have been using the standard camera on the iPhone and require 300 dpi to create photo books as the photos are resized according the layout.

After looking at a few of the links I found a mathematical equation that assisted me.
Inches = Pixels/DPI
eg: 3 inches = 300 pixels/100 DPI
Using this equation and the fact that iPhone 4s takes photos that are 3264 x 2448 I was able to work out the largest print I could make with 300 DPI.
Width 3264 pix/ 300 DPI = 10.88 inches
Height 2448 pix/ 300 DPI = 8.16 inches
Therefore, the largest print (with 300DPI) I can make of these photos is 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches.
Which is great!
So is it critical for me to change the dpi in say photoshop or does it not matter as long as I don't go above the 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches?
From what I can gather the smaller I resize the photo the higher the DPI and the bigger I stretch the photo the lower the DPI?

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

The birthday entries in my Outlook contacts have correct dates.How can I fix this?

The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.

Thank you very much for your reply gdgmacguy :) I did all you suggested apart from restore as new device . Didn't know I could do that . After restore I did restore from back up only, as I didn't want to end up without contacts details on my phone. If I restore as new device how do I get my all contacts? You said, "the 4 also has signal and wifi whereas the 5 has only wifi". By "signal", I'm assuing that you mean cellular signal. If so, that means your iPhone 4 is still active on your cellular number and your iPhone 5 is not. Contact your carrier to sort out which phone is active on your account.
